On the basis of thespreading age of the South China Sea, the Cenozoic volcanic rocks are divided into three stages: thepre-spreading stage, the spreading stage and the post-spreading stage. The deep processcharacteristics of the asthenosphere and lithosphere may be inferred from the study on primarybasaltic magma. The top layers of the asthenosphere both in the spreading stage and in thepre-spreading stage are closer to the earth surface than that in the post-spreading stage. From thepre-spreading stage to the spreading stage, the top layer of the asthenosphere decreased in depth,while the amount of interstitial partial melts increased. The evolution of the primary basalticmagma shows a progressive evolution sequence of the rifting volcanism and a faster lithosphericspreading velocity. From the spreading stage to the post-spreading stage, the top layer of theasthenosphere gradually increased in depth, but the amount of interstitial partial melts decreased.The evolution of primary basaltic magma shows a retrogressive evolution sequence of the riftingvolcanism and a gradual decrease in the lithospheric spreading velocity. The depth recognized by thestudy on the Cenozoic volcanism demonstrates the deep environment for the formation and evolutionof the South China Sea.展开更多
Based on the latest result in research on 3D seismic wave velocity structure of crust and uppermost mantle and taking geological setting and fracture zones into consideration, a 3D geological model for the studied reg...Based on the latest result in research on 3D seismic wave velocity structure of crust and uppermost mantle and taking geological setting and fracture zones into consideration, a 3D geological model for the studied region is built up. The boundary constraint and force loading boundary condition for the model are determined according to the characteristics of crustal stress field deduced from earthquake focal mechanism and in-situ stress measurement data. Using linear elastic material model a 3D finite element modeling is conducted to study the characteristics of crustal stress field. A comparison analysis between the simulated stress field and earthquake locations reveals that the moderate and strong earthquakes generally occurred in the zones with high shear stress gradient. Furthermore, the paper notices a few potential earthquake-prone regions.展开更多

In accordance with the new distance concept, the temporal-spatial correlativity within temporal doublets of strong earthquakes in North China and its vicinity since AD 1500 has been analyzed. The computation results indicate that doublets of strong earthquake can be divided into two groups when fTS is endowed with 10 km/a in the new distance formula. The temporal-spatial distance between two points of doublet generally cannot exceed 140 km when two strong quakes in doublet have some causative relation. And those doublets with temporal-spatial distance exceeding 280 km are probably independent seismic events in doublets. Theisotopic, trace element and rare earth element geochemical data of a bimodal rock association made up ofanorthosite, gabbro and alkali basalt and olivine-bearing quartz-syenite, rapakivi granite and trachyte as wellas potassic A-type granites and anorogenic granites—— all suggest that there exists an incipient rift in thestudy area. Fractional crystallization of a mixed magma formed by the magma derived from the upper mantleand the magma derived by small degrees of fusion of the lower crust produced anorthosite cumulates. First,we devise in this paper,a multi-regions discrete-time model which describes the spatial-temporal spread of an epidemic which starts from one region and enters to regions which are connected with their neighbors ...First,we devise in this paper,a multi-regions discrete-time model which describes the spatial-temporal spread of an epidemic which starts from one region and enters to regions which are connected with their neighbors by any kind of anthropological movement.We suppose homogeneous Susceptible-Infected-Removed(SIR)populations,and we consider in our simulations,a grid of colored cells,which represents the whole domain affected by the epidemic while each cell can represent a sub-domain or region.Second,in order to minimize the number of infected individuals in one region,we propose an optimal control approach based on a travel-blocking vicinity strategy which aims to control only one cell by restricting movements of infected people coming from all neighboring cells.Thus,we show the influence of the optimal control approach on the controlled cell.We should also note that the cellular modeling approach we propose here,can also describes infection dynamics of regions which are not necessarily attached one to an other,even if no empty space can be viewed between cells.The theoretical method we follow for the characterization of the travel-locking optimal controls,is based on a discrete version of Pontryagin's maximum principle while the numerical approach applied to the multi-points boundary value problems we obtain here,is based on discrete progressive-regressive iterative schemes.We illustrate our modeling and control approaches by giving an example of 100 regions.展开更多

Rising sea level is of great significance to coastal societies;predicting sea level extent in coastal regions is critical.When carrying out predictions,the subsequences obtained using decomposition methods may exhibit...Rising sea level is of great significance to coastal societies;predicting sea level extent in coastal regions is critical.When carrying out predictions,the subsequences obtained using decomposition methods may exhibit a certain regularity and therefore can provide multidimensional information that can be used to improve prediction models.Traditional decomposition methods such as seasonal and trend decomposition using Loess(STL)focus mostly on the fluctuating trend of time series and ignore its impact on prediction.Methods in the signal decomposition domain,such as variational mode decomposition(VMD),have no physical significance.In response to the above problems,a new decomposition method for sea level anomaly time series prediction(DMSLAP)is proposed.With this method,the trend term in a time series can be isolated and the effects of abnormal sea level change behaviors can be attenuated.We decompose multiperiod characteristics using this method while maintaining the smoothness of the analyzed series.Satellite altimetry data from 1993 to 2020 are used in experiments conducted in the study area.The results are then compared with predictions obtained using existing decomposition methods such as the STL and VMD methods and time varying filtering based on empirical mode decomposition(TVF-EMD).The performance of DMSLAP combined with a prediction method resulted in optimal sea level anomaly(SLA)predictions,with a minimum root mean square error(RMSE)of 1.40 cm and a maximum determination coefficient(R^(2))of 0.93 during 2020.The DMSLAP method was more accurate when predicting 1-year data and 3-year data.The TVF-EMD and DMSLAP methods had comparable accuracies,and the periodic term decomposed by the DMSLAP method was more in line with the actual law than that derived using the TVF-EMD method.Thus,DMSLAP can decompose SLA time series better than existing methods and is an effective tool for obtaining short-term SLA prediction.展开更多

Selective oxidation of glycerol provides a feasible route towards the sustainable synthesis of high value-added chemicals.Herein,the hydroxyapatite(HAP)supported palladium(Pd)species were fabricated by impregnation an...Selective oxidation of glycerol provides a feasible route towards the sustainable synthesis of high value-added chemicals.Herein,the hydroxyapatite(HAP)supported palladium(Pd)species were fabricated by impregnation and subsequent calcination.The as-obtained heterogeneous Pd catalyst afforded not only excellent selectivity to glyceric acid(GLA)up to 90%with 59%conversion of glycerol but also good recyclability by using molecular oxygen as an oxidant under mild conditions.The characterization of catalysts indicated that both the surface basicity and Pd sites on the catalyst played a crucial role in promoting glycerol oxidation.Notably,it demonstrated that the presence of the vicinal hydroxyl group of glycerol molecule can assist the oxidation reaction via forming a coordination between the vicinal hydroxyl group and Ca^(2+) sites on HAP-derived catalysts.In this catalytic process,the secondary hydroxyl of glycerol kept untouched and the primary hydroxyl of glycerol was converted into carboxyl group,while the Pd species acted as active centers for cooperatively promoting the subsequent oxidation to generate GLA.Additionally,this catalytic system can be extended widely for the oxidative conversion of other vicinal diols into the corresponding a-hydroxycarboxylic acids selectively.Isotope labeling experiment using H_(2)^(18)O confirmed that H_(2)O not only acted as solvent but also was involved in the catalytic cycles.On the basis of the results,a possible reaction mechanism has been proposed.The HAP-supported Pd catalytic system has been shown to serve as an effective approach for the upgrading of bio-derived vicinal diols to high value-added chemicals.展开更多

文摘Rising sea level is of great significance to coastal societies;predicting sea level extent in coastal regions is critical.When carrying out predictions,the subsequences obtained using decomposition methods may exhibit a certain regularity and therefore can provide multidimensional information that can be used to improve prediction models.Traditional decomposition methods such as seasonal and trend decomposition using Loess(STL)focus mostly on the fluctuating trend of time series and ignore its impact on prediction.Methods in the signal decomposition domain,such as variational mode decomposition(VMD),have no physical significance.In response to the above problems,a new decomposition method for sea level anomaly time series prediction(DMSLAP)is proposed.With this method,the trend term in a time series can be isolated and the effects of abnormal sea level change behaviors can be attenuated.We decompose multiperiod characteristics using this method while maintaining the smoothness of the analyzed series.Satellite altimetry data from 1993 to 2020 are used in experiments conducted in the study area.The results are then compared with predictions obtained using existing decomposition methods such as the STL and VMD methods and time varying filtering based on empirical mode decomposition(TVF-EMD).The performance of DMSLAP combined with a prediction method resulted in optimal sea level anomaly(SLA)predictions,with a minimum root mean square error(RMSE)of 1.40 cm and a maximum determination coefficient(R^(2))of 0.93 during 2020.The DMSLAP method was more accurate when predicting 1-year data and 3-year data.The TVF-EMD and DMSLAP methods had comparable accuracies,and the periodic term decomposed by the DMSLAP method was more in line with the actual law than that derived using the TVF-EMD method.Thus,DMSLAP can decompose SLA time series better than existing methods and is an effective tool for obtaining short-term SLA prediction.
文摘The attenuation coefficient of the impressed first sound due to the scattering of random background of the second sound is calculated.The result shows that this is an important factor which gives rise the attenuation of the first sound in the vicinity of transition temperature T_(λ) at very high frequencies of GHz range.The predicted value agrees with the measured data in order of magnitude.

文摘Asymmetric reduction of ct-hydroxy aromatic ketones was carded out by using carrot enzymes system, yielding corresponding chiral vicinal diols with special functional groups. The optimum reaction conditions were obtained after investigation of various influencing factors. Chiral aryl vicinal diols were produced with good yields and excellent enantiomeric excesses under appropriate conditions. Meanwhile, the steric factors and electronic effects of the substituents on the aromatic ring were shown to have an interesting influence on both yield and enantioselectivity.

文摘The vicinal dithiol motif is widely present in proteins, and is critical for proteins’ structures and functions.In recent years, a variety of fluorescent probes with high specificity and outstanding optical properties for sensing protein vicinal dithiols have been developed. In this review, we summarized the fluorescent probes of protein vicinal dithiols in literature. These probes are classified into four types based on their acceptor sites, i.e., biarsenical probes, monoarsenical probes, dimaleimide probes and diacrylate probes.Through analyzing the properties of different probes, we expect that this review would help readers further understand the structural factors of these probes and provide the design strategy for novel fluorescent probes with improved properties.
文摘A practical synthesis of symmetrical vicinal diamines with broad chemistry scope is described. The key step is the ultrasonicwave promoted tandem-reaction, two-step reaction sequence combining Mannich double condensations with benzo- triazole, glyoxal and primary or secondary amines and reduction of the bis(benzotriazole)-adducts with sodium borohydride proceeded smoothly in tetrahydrofuran in high yield at room temperature.

文摘Selective oxidation of glycerol provides a feasible route towards the sustainable synthesis of high value-added chemicals.Herein,the hydroxyapatite(HAP)supported palladium(Pd)species were fabricated by impregnation and subsequent calcination.The as-obtained heterogeneous Pd catalyst afforded not only excellent selectivity to glyceric acid(GLA)up to 90%with 59%conversion of glycerol but also good recyclability by using molecular oxygen as an oxidant under mild conditions.The characterization of catalysts indicated that both the surface basicity and Pd sites on the catalyst played a crucial role in promoting glycerol oxidation.Notably,it demonstrated that the presence of the vicinal hydroxyl group of glycerol molecule can assist the oxidation reaction via forming a coordination between the vicinal hydroxyl group and Ca^(2+) sites on HAP-derived catalysts.In this catalytic process,the secondary hydroxyl of glycerol kept untouched and the primary hydroxyl of glycerol was converted into carboxyl group,while the Pd species acted as active centers for cooperatively promoting the subsequent oxidation to generate GLA.Additionally,this catalytic system can be extended widely for the oxidative conversion of other vicinal diols into the corresponding a-hydroxycarboxylic acids selectively.Isotope labeling experiment using H_(2)^(18)O confirmed that H_(2)O not only acted as solvent but also was involved in the catalytic cycles.On the basis of the results,a possible reaction mechanism has been proposed.The HAP-supported Pd catalytic system has been shown to serve as an effective approach for the upgrading of bio-derived vicinal diols to high value-added chemicals.
