Due to the increase in the number of smart meter devices,a power grid generates a large amount of data.Analyzing the data can help in understanding the users’electricity consumption behavior and demands;thus,enabling better service to be provided to them.Performing power load profile clustering is the basis for mining the users’electricity consumption behavior.By examining the complexity,randomness,and uncertainty of the users’electricity consumption behavior,this paper proposes an ensemble clustering method to analyze this behavior.First,principle component analysis(PCA)is used to reduce the dimensions of the data.Subsequently,the single clustering method is used,and the majority is selected for integrated clustering.As a result,the users’electricity consumption behavior is classified into different modes,and their characteristics are analyzed in detail.This paper examines the electricity power data of 19 real users in China for simulation purposes.This manuscript provides a thorough analysis along with suggestions for the users’weekly electricity consumption behavior.The results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

The present study aimed to design,develop,operate and evaluate a sightseeing spot recommendation system as a smart tourism tool that gathers and accumulates sightseeing spot information and considers personal preferences as well as priority conditions to support tourism activities,especially in urban tourist areas.The system was developed by integrating web-geographic information systems(Web-GIS),the recommendation system and the evaluation system.Additionally,the system was operated for 4 weeks in the central part of Yokohama City in Kanagawa Prefecture,Japan,and the total number of users was 62.Based on the results of the web questionnaire survey,the system was highly useful for sightseeing activities,and further utilization of each function can be expected by continuing the operation.From the results of access analysis of users’log data,it is evident that the system has been used by different types of information terminals just as it was designed for,and that the system has been used according to the purpose of the present study,which is to support the sightseeing activities of users.However,the number of visits to pages related to the evaluation function of sightseeing spots and submitting function of new sightseeing spot information was low.This may improve if the system operation is conducted on a long-term basis. 展开更多

By introducing anthropology into planning and design methodology of urban public space, it provided a new research method for the planning of urban park in our country. Through introduction and assessment of the book, existing problems and suggestions of the construction of our urban parks were proposed. In the perspective of urban parks' users, by the method of ethnology and anthropology, cultural diversity of urban public space would be investigated, paying attention to the usage behavior and different cultural characteristics, thinking about how to respect ecology and environmental construction of parks and coordinate the relation between culture and ecology while cultural diversity was respected. What should be considered in the construction of urban parks was not only culture but also ecological environment protection when culture was respected and citizens' interests during environment construction. With the development of Internet technology and the enhancement of people’s concept of the rule of law,online legal consultation has become an important means for the general public to conduct legal consultation.However,different people have different language expressions and legal professional backgrounds.This phenomenon may lead to the phenomenon of different descriptions of the same legal consultation.How to accurately understand the true intentions behind different users’legal consulting statements is an important issue that needs to be solved urgently in the field of legal consulting services.Traditional intent understanding algorithms rely heavily on the lexical and semantic information between the original data,and are not scalable,and often require taxing manual annotation work.This article proposes a new approach TdBrnn which is based on the normalized tensor decomposition method and Bi-LSTM to learn users’intention to legal consulting.First,we present the users’legal consulting statements as a tensor.And then we use the normalized tensor decomposition layer proposed by this article to extract the tensor elements and structural information of the original tensor which can best represent users’intention of legal consultation,namely the core tensor.The core tensor relies less on the lexical and semantic information of the original users’legal consulting statements data,it reduces the dimension of the original tensor,and greatly reduces the computational complexity of the subsequent Bi-LSTM algorithm.Furthermore,we use a large number of core tensors obtained by the tensor decomposition layer with users’legal consulting statements tensors as inputs to continuously train Bi-LSTM,and finally derive the users’legal consultation intention classification model which can comprehensively understand the user’s legal consultation intention.Experiments show that our method has faster convergence speed and higher accuracy than traditional recurrent neural networks. 展开更多

The purpose of this study was to examine perception of users and providers of the quality of home health care services. Methods: A descriptive design was used to collect data from a convenience sample of 82 users of home health care services. Results: Users had low to fair satisfaction (30.5% - 69.5%) about the quality of care provided, had moderate satisfaction (72.0% to 81.7%) about the information received, and had low to fair satisfaction about education related to goal of treatment and medication (46.4% - 53.3%). Users had high level of agreement (>70%) that health agencies provided interpersonal care. Conclusion: The ability of the frail people to choose from a variety of cost-effective long-term care services is limited. 展开更多

Background: The functionality and the safety of the electric wheelchairs were essential for users’ everyday life. Some evidence indicated that the wheelchair Per Se highly influenced users’ occupational life, their personal identity and social life;further, the wheelchair became an extension of the body and more than a technical device. Besides, there was still both environmental and self-efficacy or/and mental health factors obstacles for full social participation. Even so, there was to some extent stigma related to being a wheelchair user. There was a need to reflect users’ perspective on being depended on electric wheelchair. The aim, accordingly, was to describe and to get a deeper insight into electric wheelchairs users’ perspective and experiences of utilizing this device;a qualitative design with an inductive approach was used. Method: Qualitative latent and interpretative content analysis [1] [2] was used after repeated face-to-face semi-structured interviews with three experienced Swedish electric wheelchair users during the autumn 2017. Findings: The findings showed a high degree of dependability of the assistants that supported the users, and of the quality of that working relationship. The findings were formulated, abstracted and interpreted in several steps. It showed one theme of meaning: “Living in a space shifting between potential violation of or respect for human dignity”. Conclusion: The study showed that electric wheelchair users were relatively content with their lives as well as with their devices in turns of mobility and accessibility, but the meaning of their narrations showed a life at constant risk of having the respect of human rights and human respect violated. Besides, the importance of having access to good and high quality devices, good staffing, and environmental support, all in concordance with human rights, the clinical and practical implications of this study narrows down to a question of encountering the other person as a whole and worthy individual. 展开更多

The challenges facing public schools are multifaceted and include: teachers dissatisfaction, non-commitment of educators, chronic absenteeism by educators, low morale, poor work ethics by educators, late coming of both educators and learners, overcrowding in classes, lack of technical resources and many more. A cursory investigation of public secondary school buildings in Ado-Odo/Ota L.G.A shows its deplorable conditions of structural, aesthetical and decorative disrepair. Therefore the paper focused on examining users “perception of the present deplorable physical condition and neglect of public secondary school. The study engaged the use of quantitative method of analysis, employing the use of questionnaire administered randomly and distributed face-to-face to targeted despondences”. The result of findings revealed performance/productivity of building users depends largely on working and learning condition of building. The outcomes of the research would help policy makers, facilities maintenance experts and professionals alike to device a policy for regular maintenance of public building in other to enhance performance and increase productivity amongst users. 展开更多

Comparative Analysis on Road Users’Cost Using HDM-4 Software and Manual Technique:A Case of Addis Ababa-Adama Expressway

Continuous changes in vehicle technology,road condition,traffic compo­sitions initiate the change or updating of road users’cost models.So that it needs to practice a continuous revision or update periodically for realistic estimation of costs and benefits.This paper presented the relationship and comparison between road users’cost along Addis Ababa-Adama newly constructed expressway using the Highway Development and Management(HDM-4)Software and manually using formulations developed in the Por­tuguese model.The method started with data collection.All input data were collected from primary and secondary sources.The primary data utilized an interview,and secondary data were sourced out from pertinent documents,both published and unpublished.More data were gathered that related to vehicles.The vehicles using the road are classified based on the manual from the Ethiopian Road Authority as cars,utilities,small bus,large bus,small truck,medium truck,heavy truck,and truck trailer.The collected data have been input into the HDM-4 interface;the output of the analysis was vehicle operating costs,travel time,and road users’cost as a summation.Using manual technique and HDM-4 Software,Birr 128.62/km/vehicle and Birr 139.23/km/vehicle,respectively,were found from road users’costs analysis.The result shows the difference of Birr 10.61.Also,the correlation coefficient of 0.75 is determined,which shows that the two results of road users’costs are highly related.As a result,the study reveals that the appli­cation of HDM-4 Software and the manual technique formulations from the Portuguese model can be adopted interchangeably to calculate Road Users’Cost of road sections in Ethiopia.Hence,the study results are expected to be an eye-opener for a future similar project by the concerned agencies. 展开更多

This paper explores the uses’ influences on microblog. At first, according to the social network theory, we present an analysis of information transmitting network structure based on the relationship of following and followed phenomenon of microblog users. Informed by the microblog user behavior analysis, the paper also addresses a model for calculating weights of users’ influence. It proposes a U-R model, using which we can evaluate users’ influence based on PageRank algorithms and analyzes user behaviors. In the U-R model, the effect of user behaviors is explored and PageRank is applied to evaluate the importance and the influence of every user in a microblog network by repeatedly iterating their own U-R value. The users’ influences in a microblog network can be ranked by the U-R value. Finally, the validity of U-R model is proved with a real-life numerical example. 展开更多

Land subsidence can have a considerable impact on the socio-economic viability of areas. In urban areas, land subsidence tends to damage buildings and infrastructures gradually, while in rural peat land it slowly destroys vegetation. The damages will worsen since climate change has further implications for the areas affected by land subsidence. In Indonesia, the response to land subsidence varies in different areas in terms of awareness, urgency and action on the part of both public authorities and land users. This paper systematically investigates these varied responses in urban and rural peat land areas. Interviews with experts and surveys of 330 land users in selected sub-districts were conducted and further supplemented by focus group discussions. We found that both the public authorities as well as the land users’ responses were considered as of limited value to contest land subsidence. We suggest that the endorsement of land users’ response into governmental policies would make a significant difference in improving land subsidence management. 展开更多

Different types of pandemics that have appeared from time to time have changed many aspects of daily life.Some governments encourage their citizens to use certain applications to help control the spread of disease and to deliver other services during lockdown.The Saudi government has launched several mobile apps to control the pandemic and have made these apps available through Google Play and the app store.A huge number of reviews are written daily by users to express their opinions,which include significant information to improve these applications.The manual processing and extracting of information from users’reviews is an extremely difficult and time-consuming task.Therefore,the use of intelligent methods is necessary to analyse users’reviews and extract issues that can help in improving these apps.This research aims to support the efforts made by the Saudi government for its citizens and residents by analysing the opinions of people in Saudi Arabia that can be found as reviews on Google Play and the app store using sentiment analysis and machine learning methods.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first study to explore users’opinions about governmental apps in Saudi Arabia.The findings of this analysis will help government officers make the right decisions to improve the quality of the provided services and help application developers improve these applications by fixing potential issues that cannot be identified during application testing phases.A new dataset used for this research includes 8000 user reviews gathered from social media,Google Play and the app store.Different methods are applied to the dataset,and the results show that the k nearest neighbourhood(KNN)method generates the highest accuracy compared to other implemented methods. 展开更多

investment of this type of business is not complex.Hence,the survival of this type of business is not easily guaranteed because of not only high competitiveness but also unclear information from the user side.Entrepre... investment of this type of business is not complex.Hence,the survival of this type of business is not easily guaranteed because of not only high competitiveness but also unclear information from the user side.Entrepreneurs of coworking spaces need to understand the characteristics and perspectives of users which may differ in various regions and cultures.This research investigated the users of coworking spaces in terms of their characteristics,behaviors,and perspectives.The scope focused on coworking spaces locating on or closed to the mass train transit stations of CBD Bangkok.The research applied quantitative approach through questionnaire surveys with 300 respondents during November,2017.There are many interesting results found from the analysis and somehow differ from past studies.The majority of respondents were younger than 25 years old who were students.However,a quarter of those were“Corporate Employee”.Coffee shop was the top place to work outside own office,seconded by coworking spaces.The behaviors of the majority of the respondents included:80%visited coworking spaces at least one a week and almost half visited 3-4 times a week;they spent at least three hours per visit and about 15%spent longer than six hours.The perspectives of most respondents were used coworking spaces to increase productivity and chose a place based on location.The results call for further analysis and studies. 展开更多

The successful deployment of autonomous vehicles(AVs)relies heavily on their ability to interact safely and effectively with other road users.External human–machine interfaces(eHMIs)have emerged as critical components in facilitating these interactions.Rigorous evaluation and testing of eHMIs are essential for realizing their intended safety and communication benefits.This study provides a comprehensive review of current eHMI research,focusing on their impact on road users’behavior and perceptions,as well as the methods used for evaluation.Key behavioral factors—such as eHMI modality,information type,location,vehicle kinematics,traffic environment,and user characteristics—are systematically reviewed and summarized.The influence of eHMIs on user perceptions is also explored through indicators such as perceived safety,comprehensibility,trust,cognitive load,and user experience.Despite notable advancements,several critical research gaps remain underexplored.Most studies focus on one-toone interactions,neglecting the complexities of mixed-traffic environments involving AVs,conventional human-driven vehicles,pedestrians,and cyclists.Current evaluation methods largely rely on virtual reality and Wizard-of-Oz experiments,which may fail to fully capture real-world dynamics.Additionally,subjective questionnaires,which are often used in these studies,do not guarantee high reproducibility of findings.Moreover,insufficient attention has been given to the synchronization of eHMI signals with vehicle kinematics.Furthermore,the absence of standardized evaluation frameworks limits cross-study comparability and the development of universally applicable eHMI solutions.To address these challenges,future research should prioritize the integration of naturalistic traffic scenarios,the adoption of objective and reproducible evaluation methods,the exploration of multimodal eHMI designs,and the development of standardized assessment protocols.These efforts are crucial for improving AV communication with diverse road users and ensuring safety in increasingly complex traffic ecosystems. 展开更多

A recommender system is a tool designed to suggest relevant items to users based on their preferences and behaviors.Collaborative filtering,a popular technique within recommender systems,predicts user interests by analyzing patterns in interactions and similarities between users,leveraging past behavior data to make personalized recommendations.Despite its popularity,collaborative filtering faces notable challenges,and one of them is the issue of grey-sheep users who have unusual tastes in the system.Surprisingly,existing research has not extensively explored outlier detection techniques to address the grey-sheep problem.To fill this research gap,this study conducts a comprehensive comparison of 12 outlier detectionmethods(such as LOF,ABOD,HBOS,etc.)and introduces innovative user representations aimed at improving the identification of outliers within recommender systems.More specifically,we proposed and examined three types of user representations:1)the distribution statistics of user-user similarities,where similarities were calculated based on users’rating vectors;2)the distribution statistics of user-user similarities,but with similarities derived from users represented by latent factors;and 3)latent-factor vector representations.Our experiments on the Movie Lens and Yahoo!Movie datasets demonstrate that user representations based on latent-factor vectors consistently facilitate the identification of more grey-sheep users when applying outlier detection methods. 展开更多

Stackelberg game-based interactive operation strategy for energyintensive industrial users

With increasing awareness of environmental protection and rising carbon emission costs,participation in electricity and carbon markets for energy-intensive industrial users will become an effective way to reduce operating costs and carbon emissions.In this regard,a novel Stackelberg game framework is developed in this study for coordinated participation in coupled electricity‒carbon markets.Specifically,generalized carbon emission models and electricity consumption models for different energy-intensive industrial users are established,and a Stackelberg game-based interactive operation strategy is proposed for load aggregators(LAs)and energy-intensive industrial users in joint electricity‒carbon markets,where the LA works as a leader who chooses proper interactive prices to maximize the comprehensive benefit,whereas energy-intensive industrial users serve as followers who minimize the total energy costs in response to the interactive prices set by the LA.Then,the existence and uniqueness of the Stackelberg equilibrium(SE)are analyzed,and a decentralized solution algorithm is suggested to reach the SE.Finally,the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed interactive operation strategy can not only increase the profit of the LA but also reduce the cost of energy-intensive industrial users,which achieves a win-win result. 展开更多

Identifying influential users in social networks is of great significance in areas such as public opinion monitoring and commercial promotion.Existing identification methods based on Graph Neural Networks(GNNs)often lead to yield inaccurate features of influential users due to neighborhood aggregation,and require a large substantial amount of labeled data for training,making them difficult and challenging to apply in practice.To address this issue,we propose a semi-supervised contrastive learning method for identifying influential users.First,the proposed method constructs positive and negative samples for contrastive learning based on multiple node centrality metrics related to influence;then,contrastive learning is employed to guide the encoder to generate various influence-related features for users;finally,with only a small amount of labeled data,an attention-based user classifier is trained to accurately identify influential users.Experiments conducted on three public social network datasets demonstrate that the proposed method,using only 20%of the labeled data as the training set,achieves F1 values that are 5.9%,5.8%,and 8.7%higher than those unsupervised EVC method,and it matches the performance of GNN-based methods such as DeepInf,InfGCN and OlapGN,which require 80%of labeled data as the training set. 展开更多

The advent of sixth-generation(6G)networks introduces unprecedented challenges in achieving seamless connectivity,ultra-low latency,and efficient resource management in highly dynamic environments.Although fifth-generation(5G)networks transformed mobile broadband and machine-type communications at massive scales,their properties of scaling,interference management,and latency remain a limitation in dense high mobility settings.To overcome these limitations,artificial intelligence(AI)and unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have emerged as potential solutions to develop versatile,dynamic,and energy-efficient communication systems.The study proposes an AI-based UAV architecture that utilizes cooperative reinforcement learning(CoRL)to manage an autonomous network.The UAVs collaborate by sharing local observations and real-time state exchanges to optimize user connectivity,movement directions,allocate power,and resource distribution.Unlike conventional centralized or autonomous methods,CoRL involves joint state sharing and conflict-sensitive reward shaping,which ensures fair coverage,less interference,and enhanced adaptability in a dynamic urban environment.Simulations conducted in smart city scenarios with 10 UAVs and 50 ground users demonstrate that the proposed CoRL-based UAV system increases user coverage by up to 10%,achieves convergence 40%faster,and reduces latency and energy consumption by 30%compared with centralized and decentralized baselines.Furthermore,the distributed nature of the algorithm ensures scalability and flexibility,making it well-suited for future large-scale 6G deployments.The results highlighted that AI-enabled UAV systems enhance connectivity,support ultra-reliable low-latency communications(URLLC),and improve 6G network efficiency.Future work will extend the framework with adaptive modulation,beamforming-aware positioning,and real-world testbed deployment. 展开更多

Objective: To understand the prevalence and behavioral risk factors of HIV infection among injection drug users in the Pearl River Delta Region (PRDR) of Guangdong province, and to provide evidence for establishing effective intervention strategies. Methods: Face to face interviews were conducted and serum samples from injection drug users from detoxification centers and the community were collected for HIV screening. Results: 655 drug users were recruited and interviewed. The HIV seropositive rate was 29.0%. 99.5 % of subjects were injection drug users (IDUs), of whom,75.4% reported sharing injection equipment. Conclusion: HIV prevalence among injection drug users is high in the PRDR of Guangdong. Injection drug use is the principal behavioral risk factor for HIV transmission. Pragmatic harm reduction programs should be implemented to prevent the spread of HIV infection. 展开更多

It has been considered as a potential technological component for the next generation of communication. In this paper, we investigate a novel framework to distribute video files from some other proximity devices through users' media cloud assisted D2 D communication. The main contributions of this work lie in: 1) Providing an efficient algorithm Media Cloud Cluster Selecting Scheme(MCCSS) to achieve the reasonable cluster; 2) Distributing the optimum updating files to the cluster heads, in order to minimize the expected D2 D communication transmission hop for files; 3) Proposing a minimum the hop method, which can ensure the user obtain required file as soon as possible. Extensive simulation results have demonstrated the efficiency of the proposed scheme. 展开更多
