This paper conducts a systematic study of the preposition“zai”in Modern Chinese from the perspective of Cognitive Grammar.By analyzing the spatial positioning function,temporal positioning function,and abstract rela...This paper conducts a systematic study of the preposition“zai”in Modern Chinese from the perspective of Cognitive Grammar.By analyzing the spatial positioning function,temporal positioning function,and abstract relation expression function of“zai”,it reveals the cognitive basis of its polysemy.The study finds that the semantic network of“zai”takes the spatial concept as the core,expanding to temporal and other abstract domains through metaphorical and metonymic mechanisms.The research adopts a combined method of cognitive grammar analysis,corpus analysis,and historical comparative method.Based on a large number of actual corpus data,it systematically investigates the synchronic distribution and diachronic evolution characteristics of“zai”.展开更多
Although the English article system is ostensibly composed of two basic forms,“a/an”and“the”actual usage demonstrates a high degree of semantic complexity and cognitive diversity.Traditional grammatical frameworks...Although the English article system is ostensibly composed of two basic forms,“a/an”and“the”actual usage demonstrates a high degree of semantic complexity and cognitive diversity.Traditional grammatical frameworks often treat article usage through a dichotomy of“specific vs.non-specific reference”,yet struggle to effectively explain numerous marginal and unconventional linguistic phenomena,such as expressions like“go to the hospital”and“a Mr.Brown”.With the development of cognitive linguistics,language is viewed as an externalization of mental activity,and the intrinsic connection between linguistic structure and cognitive mechanisms has gained increasing attention.This paper,grounded in Ronald Langacker’s Cognitive Grammar theory,systematically analyzes the semantic construction process and cognitive motivations of English articles by integrating cognitive mechanisms such as figure-ground alignment,subjectivity,and mental spaces.By combining typical sentence examples,the paper reveals the deep cognitive structures underlying article usage from the dual perspectives of semantic representation and communicative function,aiming to provide a more explanatory theoretical framework for the grammatical teaching and cognitive research of English articles.展开更多

During the evolving process of language, new language varieties will continuously emerge due to the change...Language is a special social phenomenon and is always on the changing process with the development of society. During the evolving process of language, new language varieties will continuously emerge due to the changes of some social and cultural factors. Cyber language is universally accepted as one type of the social language varieties. Basically, cyber language can be treated as a complex adaptive system which is influenced by the interaction between users’ cognition, social culture and the surrounding environments. Thus it is safe to say that cyber language is always undergoing a dynamic evolving process. With the usage-based language model as the theoretical foundation, this paper proposes a Complex Adaptive System (CAS) approach to analyze the expression of Appreciation to explore the complex, dynamic and nonlinear development of cyber language from the angle of meaning construction, grammaticalization and functional adaption respectively. It is found that the expression of Appreciation is experiencing adaptively a semantic connotations development and a process of grammatical functions expansion as well. This paper suggests that the emergence and development of cyber language is a novel and trendy social language phenomenon. Network language can achieve its process and evolution under the huge impact of social changes and social promotions. When faced with the changing surroundings, cyber language itself enjoys a timely adaption and responsive development to keep up with the new environments, which reflects the basic principle of language development, namely, language changes with the development of society.展开更多

在科技创新快速迭代的背景下,开展负责任研究与创新(responsible research and innovation,RRI)能够预防人类跌入科技“进步陷阱”。运用制度语法学工具,廓析中央政府制定的42项RRI政策的制度轮廓,并结合目标群体社会建构与政策设计框...在科技创新快速迭代的背景下,开展负责任研究与创新(responsible research and innovation,RRI)能够预防人类跌入科技“进步陷阱”。运用制度语法学工具,廓析中央政府制定的42项RRI政策的制度轮廓,并结合目标群体社会建构与政策设计框架解析政策的规制机理。研究发现:我国政府日益重视RRI,并试图在政策设计中激发政策目标群体开展RRI的内生动力,但现有政策整体呈弱规制性,政策的贯彻落实需要多元主体配合。从制度规则的应用来看,制度规则在生物医药和人工智能这些科技发展迅猛的领域应用最多。具体而言,选择规则是政策设计中最常使用的规则类型,而其余6种制度规则的应用不充分。进一步解析政策规制机理发现,在规制类型上,通过建构优势者、依赖者、偏离者3种目标群体,打造出政策规制差序格局;在规制手段上,巧用框定、强化、修辞话语策略建构目标群体,构建出RRI框架;在规制强度上,开展宪法选择层、集体选择层、操作选择层目标群体社会建构,凝聚出政策规制强大合力。研究结论在理论方面为学者研究RRI议题提供了政策视角启示,在实践方面为学者研究RRI政策提供了制度语法学工具的方法论见解,也为我国政府更好地设计和完善RRI政策提供了理论参考,助力我国政府提升科技治理水平。展开更多
