Understanding the urban-rural development mechanism is critical for implementing rural revival and new-type urbanization.However,it remains a challenge to quantify the urban-rural integrated development level(URIDL)an...Understanding the urban-rural development mechanism is critical for implementing rural revival and new-type urbanization.However,it remains a challenge to quantify the urban-rural integrated development level(URIDL)and its impact factors.Hence,we constructed an assessment system for the URIDL from spatial,economic,social,life,and ecological integration.The spatial autocorrelation and Spearman rank correlation coefficients were used to assess the spatiotemporal variation of the URIDL and the trade-off synergistic relationship among the subsystems at the provincial scale in China using socio-economic statistical data from 2000 to 2020.A spatial panel quantile regression model was used to analyze the driving mechanism.The results showed that the URIDL of China increased by 0.19%from 2000 to 2020,and a high-high(H-H)spatial agglomeration pattern occurred in the Yangtze River Delta and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regions.Spatial integration significantly contributed to the other subsystems,whereas economic integration had a significant negative impact on the other subsystems in the eastern coastal and southwestern regions.Per capita Gross Domestic Product(GDP)improved the URIDL,whereas other factors,such as fiscal revenue decentralization,had inhibiting effects.Notably,the impact of factors on URIDL varies across different quantiles.Finally,we proposed policy recommendations for differentiated improvement of URIDL based on its evolution and regional development level during the research period.展开更多

This study explores an innovative approach to stimulate rural development by proposing qualified villages as central villages that can provide basic urban services for their residents and residents of neighboring villages. This approach can contribute to overcoming the various problems that rural areas faced at the social, economic, and environmental levels. It seeks to achieve spatial sustainability of rural areas, representing a new approach by integrating urban development methods to revitalize rural villages. The study analyzed 15 villages belonging to Abbasiya District of AL Kufa City in the Najaf Governorate of Iraq. Based on the GIS techniques and the analysis of urban service indicators(village population, percentage of urban building materials used in villages, distance between village and health centers, distance between village and main roads, nature of economic activity, distance between village and educational institutions, distance between village and drinking water sources, number of communication towers, and distance between village and urban administrative center), this study proposed that Abu Gharb and Albu Ghraib can served as central villages in Abbasiya District in the future. This study establishes a new rural spatial structure to achieve rural sustainable development, improves the development status of rural areas, and provides a theoretical basis for the government and relevant institutions to use urban service indicators, achieving rural sustainable development and formulating relevant development policies in Abbasiya District.展开更多

The urban-rural equalized development （URED） as a definite measure and operating model is beneficial to gradually eliminating the dual-track structure of urban-rural development, bridging the gap of urban-rural deve...The urban-rural equalized development （URED） as a definite measure and operating model is beneficial to gradually eliminating the dual-track structure of urban-rural development, bridging the gap of urban-rural development, and creating harmonious urban-rural interactions. This paper aims to explore the status quo of URED in China at prefecture level, and to reveal the spatio-temporal patterns of URED and its differentiation regularity. The results show that： （1） China＇s URED level can be categorized into two parts, i.e., the eastern and the western, according to the ＂HU Huanyong Line＂, presenting a pattern of ＂east high and west low＂ and the URED level improves on the whole with the increase of distance from the line; （2） China＇s URED level can also be categorized into the northern and the southern parts according to ＂Kunlun-Qinling-Huaihe Line＂, presenting a pattern of ＂north high and south low＂, and the URED level reduces on the whole with the increase of distance from the line; （3） At the national level, China＇s URED has a significant trend of spatial agglomeration, the high and low URED regions tend to be adjacent, namely, the URED level presents obvious regional unbalance; （4） The five sub-dimension indicators of the URED level in the geographical space also reveal similar regional differentiation pattern, and in the aspect of space a decreasing trend is found in the URED level from the eastern （northern coast, eastern coast and southern coast）, the northeastern, the central （the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River） to the western （northwest and southwest）; and （5） China＇s URED at prefecture-level city can be divided into five types of differentiation areas. This study contributes to promoting the integrative cognition of the status quo of China＇s URED and can serve as a scientific ref- erence concerning the decision-making of coordinating urban-rural development and of pushing forward new-type urbanization strategy in China.展开更多

文摘In the perspective of natural geological climate and social economic situation of Chengdu City,the paper had analyzed the tendency of integration of urban-rural development in Chengdu,and proposed strategy to construct world modern garden city.It had illustrated basic conditions to construct world modern garden city in Chengdu at current period,and it was considered that good timing,geographical convenience and good human relations were involved in this strategy.In order to satisfy the six traits of word modern garden city,it had proposed short-term,mid-term and long-term targets;and focused on industrial development,enriching and benefiting the people,opening up to the outside world and institutional innovation.It also suggested weakening original economic geological pattern of Chengdu,so as to form complete urban system of sharing homogeneity of market construction,policy allocation,basic facilities,and social security system,seek for general welfare and diverse cooperation,and finally construct world modern garden city with good living environment,excellent investment environment,fine cultural atmosphere,high functional level,and strong comprehensive competitiveness.

文摘The urban and rural areas are regarded as two major components of the regional economic system. Only through joint balanced development of the two can we achieve overall economic optimization and social welfare maximization. But the great social division of labor has separated urban areas from rural areas,which casts the shadow of city-oriented theory on cooperative relations between urban and rural areas. Mutual separation between urban and rural settlements and independent development trigger off a range of social problems. We must undertake guidance through rational development path of urban-rural integration,to eliminate the phenomenon of urban-rural dual structure,and promote the sustainable development of population,resources and environment in urban and rural areas as soon as possible.

文摘The general law of regional spatial evolution is researched.In the process of the evolution of four stages,namely the early stage of traditional agriculture and industrialization,the middle stage of industrialization,the later stage of industrialization and post-industrialization,the types of space are homogenized space,polarized space,pole-axis space and integrated space respectively;the choosing of the spatial location is influenced by economy,society and environment,and the spatial structure extends along with three-dimensional space.Based on the fact that China's urban-rural spatial structure evolution develops rapidly,and the outstanding characteristics of dual structure becomes the main obstacle to urban-rural balanced development,the thesis poses the countermeasures of China's urban-rural spatial integrated balanced development.It points out that the healthy development of socio-economy is the external environment of realizing urban-rural spatial integration;the urban-rural coordinated planning is the prerequisite of realizing urban-rural spatial integration;fulfilling the governmental function is the key to realizing urban-rural spatial integration;promoting agricultural industrialization is the approach to realizing urban-rural spatial integration;perfecting social security system is the basis of realizing urban-rural spatial integration.

文摘Although there are certain differences in the center of gravity between rural revitalization and human-centered urbanization,their connotations and goals require that both must be promoted in concert.Therefore,based on a deep understanding of the connotation of rural revitalization and human-centered urbanization,it is necessary to clarify the goals of the two through the two-way flow of elements between urban and rural areas,the urban-rural linkage of industries,to achieve coordinated promotion of rural revitalization and human-centered urbanization in China.
文摘The development of rural areas usually has a positive impact on the urban-rural integration. This study explores an innovative approach to stimulate rural development by proposing qualified villages as central villages that can provide basic urban services for their residents and residents of neighboring villages. This approach can contribute to overcoming the various problems that rural areas faced at the social, economic, and environmental levels. It seeks to achieve spatial sustainability of rural areas, representing a new approach by integrating urban development methods to revitalize rural villages. The study analyzed 15 villages belonging to Abbasiya District of AL Kufa City in the Najaf Governorate of Iraq. Based on the GIS techniques and the analysis of urban service indicators(village population, percentage of urban building materials used in villages, distance between village and health centers, distance between village and main roads, nature of economic activity, distance between village and educational institutions, distance between village and drinking water sources, number of communication towers, and distance between village and urban administrative center), this study proposed that Abu Gharb and Albu Ghraib can served as central villages in Abbasiya District in the future. This study establishes a new rural spatial structure to achieve rural sustainable development, improves the development status of rural areas, and provides a theoretical basis for the government and relevant institutions to use urban service indicators, achieving rural sustainable development and formulating relevant development policies in Abbasiya District.

文摘Chengdu and Chongqing,as two core cities in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle,have always been in the front rank of development and reform of urban-rural integration in China.But due to different basic conditions,ideas and priorities are different in the two cities.This paper establishes an analysis framework based on system theory,conducts a systematic comparison on the development and reform of urban-rural integration in the two cities to achieve a comprehensive comparison study and finds out that:(a) Owing to different basic conditions,Chengdu and Chongqing have adopted different reform ideas and measures.Chengdu places more emphasis on systematic advancement,while Chongqing attaches more importance to key breakthroughs.(b) Chengdu’s high level shows that in the practice of urban-rural integration,independent policies and measures in local areas have limited effects.System efficiency can surpass the sum of local areas’ efficiencies only if a systematic method is adopted to comprehensively promote policies and measures for institutional innovations in various fields.
文摘The environmental impact issues,such as global warming and expansion of the urban zone,seem more serious and have become the biggest defining challenges of the 21st century.Climate change can lead to water shortages,desertification,land degradation,air pollution,rising sea levels,accelerated deforestation,and exacerbated economic pressures.Global urban growth greatly impacts changes in sociability,humanity,and the environment of the Earth.The human presence,especially in cities,seriously affects resource use and waste disposal,and they are consuming natural resources faster than the planet can sustain during urbanization,changing how people live.China,with a population of 1.3 billion,has seen tens of millions of people living in the countryside migrate to cities,especially megacities,since the 1980s.As a result of its decision to industrialize and urbanize to boost the economy,China has become the world’s second-largest consumer of energy.In recent years,China’s government has quickly recognized the lessons of“limits to growth”and has taken action by initiating the construction process in Dongtan,Shanghai,China.They are making efforts to build urban-rural integration communities to promote sustainable development.Based on a literature review focusing on Dongtan,research questions are raised according to the research objective:(1)What are the challenges of sustainable development in urban-rural integration?(2)What practices has Dongtan implemented for sustainable development,or how is sustainable development being applied to Dongtan?(3)What are the social,political,environmental,and economic concerns regarding the sustainable development of Dongtan?The sustainable urban-rural integration concerns the ecological,economic,environmental,and psychological aspects of urban-rural integration design and management.The overall objective is to promote sustainable development in economic,social,ecological,and spatial dimensions.It will be a liveable,complete community that makes economic,environmental,and social sense locally while also contributing to national and global sustainable development.It will serve as a compelling model for how to build sustainable urban-rural integration worldwide.

文摘The urban-rural equalized development （URED） as a definite measure and operating model is beneficial to gradually eliminating the dual-track structure of urban-rural development, bridging the gap of urban-rural development, and creating harmonious urban-rural interactions. This paper aims to explore the status quo of URED in China at prefecture level, and to reveal the spatio-temporal patterns of URED and its differentiation regularity. The results show that： （1） China＇s URED level can be categorized into two parts, i.e., the eastern and the western, according to the ＂HU Huanyong Line＂, presenting a pattern of ＂east high and west low＂ and the URED level improves on the whole with the increase of distance from the line; （2） China＇s URED level can also be categorized into the northern and the southern parts according to ＂Kunlun-Qinling-Huaihe Line＂, presenting a pattern of ＂north high and south low＂, and the URED level reduces on the whole with the increase of distance from the line; （3） At the national level, China＇s URED has a significant trend of spatial agglomeration, the high and low URED regions tend to be adjacent, namely, the URED level presents obvious regional unbalance; （4） The five sub-dimension indicators of the URED level in the geographical space also reveal similar regional differentiation pattern, and in the aspect of space a decreasing trend is found in the URED level from the eastern （northern coast, eastern coast and southern coast）, the northeastern, the central （the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River） to the western （northwest and southwest）; and （5） China＇s URED at prefecture-level city can be divided into five types of differentiation areas. This study contributes to promoting the integrative cognition of the status quo of China＇s URED and can serve as a scientific ref- erence concerning the decision-making of coordinating urban-rural development and of pushing forward new-type urbanization strategy in China.
文摘As a renowned historical and cultural city,Luoyang boasts a wealth of tourism resources,including sports venues,natural landscapes,and cultural heritage sites,laying a solid foundation for the integrated development of the tourism industry and sports events in recent years,with remarkable achievements in practice.However,from the perspective of sports-tourism integration,Luoyang’s event tourism still faces a prominent issue of uneven development:a surge in tourists during peak seasons,leading to overcrowded attractions,and a scarcity of visitors during off-peak seasons,resulting in idle resources.This not only leads to inefficient resource utilization but also restricts the enhancement of economic benefits and hinders sustainable development.In light of this,this paper comprehensively employs literature research,case analysis,and fieldwork methods to systematically analyze the current development status of event tourism in Luoyang within the context of sports-tourism integration.The aim is to provide theoretical and practical support for achieving high-quality and balanced development of local event tourism,offering valuable references for addressing the issue of uneven development and moving towards a sustainable future.
文摘This paper focuses on rural music education in the context of rural revitalization,deeply analyzes its current resource situation,and points out that tangible resources face shortages of teachers,inappropriate textbooks,and outdated teaching facilities,while intangible resources are confronted with the loss of folk music culture and the weakening of educational foundations due to cultural ecological changes.Resources are characterized by dispersion,scarcity,and inefficient utilization.In response to these difficulties,this paper proposes integration paths for teachers,textbooks,teaching facilities,and folk music culture resources.Additionally,it constructs a diversified development model that combines rural tourism with music activities,develops characteristic music education industries,and integrates rural cultural construction.Simultaneously,it identifies funding shortages and outdated concepts as major obstacles and proposes targeted strategies such as expanding funding channels and changing inherent concepts.The aim is to promote the development of rural music education and contribute to the revitalization of rural culture.

文摘In order to better realize the development of cultural tourism products in Yuncheng County,this paper analyzed Water Margin cultural tourism resources,market demand and product design in Yuncheng County using the RMP(Resource-Market-Product)theory,summarized existing problems in the development of Water Margin cultural tourism in Yuncheng County,and proposed countermeasures for its development.It is expected to achieve the integration of Water Margin culture and the tourism industry under the broader context of cultural and tourism integration,provide richly diverse and distinctive tourism products and services,and promote the economic development of the tourist destination.
