Recycling graphite anode from spent lithium-ion batteries(SLIBs)is regarded as a crucial approach to promoting sustainable energy storage industry.However,the recycled graphite(RG)generally presents degraded structure...Recycling graphite anode from spent lithium-ion batteries(SLIBs)is regarded as a crucial approach to promoting sustainable energy storage industry.However,the recycled graphite(RG)generally presents degraded structure and performance.Herein,the residual fluoride self-activated effect is proposed for the upgraded utilization of RG.Simple and low-energy water immersion treatment not only widens the interlayer spacing,but also retains appropriate fluoride on the surface of RG.Theoretical analysis and experiments demonstrate that the residual fluoride can optimize Li~+migration and deposition kinetics,resulting in better Li~+intercalation/deintercalation in the interlayer and more stable Li metal plating/stripping on the surface of RG,As a result,the designed LFP||RG full cells achieve ultrahigh reversibility(~100%Coulombic efficiency),high capacity retention(67%after 200 cycles,0.85 N/P ratio),and commendable adaptability(stable cycling without short-circuiting,0.15 N/P ratio).The energy density is improved from 334 Wh kg^(-1)of 1.1 N/P ratio to 367 Wh kg^(-1)of 0.85 N/P ratio(total mass based on cathode and anode).The exploration of RG by residual fluoride self-activated effect achieves upgraded utilization beyond fresh commercial graphite and highlights a new strategy for efficient reuse of SLIBs.展开更多
Effect of thermal annealing on the upgraded metallurgical grade(UMG)-Si was investigated under different conditions.The dislocation,grain boundaries and preferred growth orientation of Si ingot were characterized by...Effect of thermal annealing on the upgraded metallurgical grade(UMG)-Si was investigated under different conditions.The dislocation,grain boundaries and preferred growth orientation of Si ingot were characterized by optical microscopy,electron back scattering diffraction(EBSD) and X-ray diffractometry(XRD),respectively.The arrange order of dislocation density of Si ingot is from the lowest in the middle to the lower in the bottom and low in the top before and after annealing.And it decreases gradually with increase of the annealing temperature.The number of small angle grain boundaries declines gradually until disappears whereas the proportion of coincidence site lattice(CSL) grain boundaries increases firstly and then decreases.The twin boundary Σ3 reaches the highest proportion of 28% after annealing at 1 200 ℃ for 3 h.Furthermore,the crystal grains in different positions gain the best preferred growth orientation,which can promote the following machining of Si ingot and the conversion efficiency of solar cells.展开更多

A direct production method of high-strength titanium alloy from upgraded titania slag(UGS)was developed.First,UGS was reduced into alloy powder with 1.3 wt.%oxygen using magnesium powder.Subsequently,the alloy powder ...A direct production method of high-strength titanium alloy from upgraded titania slag(UGS)was developed.First,UGS was reduced into alloy powder with 1.3 wt.%oxygen using magnesium powder.Subsequently,the alloy powder was compacted at 600 MPa to produce a pellet.Lastly,the pellet was sintered to produce titanium alloy.The reduced powder was characterized,and the effect arising from the sintering temperature on the sintered density,compressive strength,microstructure,and hardness of the alloys was studied.The results showed that the density tended to increase with the temperature increasing from 900 to 1200℃,whereas the porosity decreased.A significant sintering densification was achieved at the temperature above 1100℃(98.65%at 1100℃ and 99.41%at 1200℃).At 1100℃,the hardness and compressive strength reached the maximal values of the alloy,HV 655.7 and 1563 MPa,respectively.展开更多

New-generation synchrotron light sources are being designed and operated worldwide to provide brighter radiation by reducing the beam emittance to X-ray diffraction limits.Intra-beam scattering(IBS)and Touschek scatte...New-generation synchrotron light sources are being designed and operated worldwide to provide brighter radiation by reducing the beam emittance to X-ray diffraction limits.Intra-beam scattering(IBS)and Touschek scattering in such facilities are significant and require attention because of their ultra-low emittance.Therefore,cure strategies need to be carefully studied to obtain highquality photon beams.For the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility Upgrade(SSRF-U),a candidate lattice of the storage ring,reaching the soft X-ray diffraction limit,was designed and presented for the first time in this study.The emittance growth and beam lifetime in the SSRF-U storage ring were studied using particle simulations for a series of different machine configurations.The gains with RF frequencies of 100 MHz and 500 MHz were compared.Along with a better filling pattern,a more suitable RF frequency was adopted in the SSRF-U.The variations in the equilibrium beam emittance with beam coupling and bunch-lengthening were identified using simulations.Optimal beam coupling and required bunch-lengthening for the SSRF-U storage ring were thus determined.The fitness of the beam energy in the SSRF-U was subsequently assessed using the obtained parameters.Additionally,the Touschek scattering and beam lifetime were calculated,and an acceptable total beam lifetime was obtained.展开更多

The next-generation RAN,known as Open Radio Access Network(ORAN),allows for several advantages,including cost-effectiveness,network flexibility,and interoperability.Now ORAN applications,utilising machine learning(ML)...The next-generation RAN,known as Open Radio Access Network(ORAN),allows for several advantages,including cost-effectiveness,network flexibility,and interoperability.Now ORAN applications,utilising machine learning(ML)and artificial intelligence(AI)techniques,have become standard practice.The need for Federated Learning(FL)for ML model training in ORAN environments is heightened by the modularised structure of the ORAN architecture and the shortcomings of conventional ML techniques.However,the traditional plaintext model update sharing of FL in multi-BS contexts is susceptible to privacy violations such as deep-leakage gradient assaults and inference.Therefore,this research presents a novel blockchain-assisted improved cryptographic privacy-preserving federated learning(BICPPFL)model,with the help of ORAN,to safely carry out federated learning and protect privacy.This model improves on the conventional masking technique for sharing model parameters by adding new characteristics.These features include the choice of distributed aggregators,validation for final model aggregation,and individual validation for BSs.To manage the security and privacy of FL processes,a combined homomorphic proxy-reencryption(HPReE)and lattice-cryptographic method(HPReEL)has been used.The upgraded delegated proof of stake(Up-DPoS)consensus protocol,which will provide quick validation of model exchanges and protect against malicious attacks,is employed for effective consensus across blockchain nodes.Without sacrificing performance metrics,the BICPPFL model strengthens privacy and adds security layers while facilitating the transfer of sensitive data across several BSs.The framework is deployed on top of a Hyperledger Fabric blockchain to evaluate its effectiveness.The experimental findings prove the reliability and privacy-preserving capability of the BICPPFL model.展开更多
BACKGROUND The discrepancy between endoscopic biopsy pathology and the overall pathology of gastric low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia(LGIN)presents challenges in developing diagnostic and treatment protocols.AIM To ...BACKGROUND The discrepancy between endoscopic biopsy pathology and the overall pathology of gastric low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia(LGIN)presents challenges in developing diagnostic and treatment protocols.AIM To develop a risk prediction model for the pathological upgrading of gastric LGIN to aid clinical diagnosis and treatment.METHODS We retrospectively analyzed data from patients newly diagnosed with gastric LGIN who underwent complete endoscopic resection within 6 months at the First Medical Center of Chinese People’s Liberation Army General Hospital between January 2008 and December 2023.A risk prediction model for the pathological progression of gastric LGIN was constructed and evaluated for accuracy and clinical applicability.RESULTS A total of 171 patients were included in this study:93 patients with high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia or early gastric cancer and 78 with LGIN.The logistic stepwise regression model demonstrated a sensitivity and specificity of 0.868 and 0.800,respectively,while the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)regression model showed sensitivity and specificity values of 0.842 and 0.840,respectively.The area under the curve(AUC)for the logistic model was 0.896,slightly lower than the AUC of 0.904 for the LASSO model.Internal validation with 30%of the data yielded AUC scores of 0.908 for the logistic model and 0.905 for the LASSO model.The LASSO model provided greater utility in clinical decision-making.CONCLUSION A risk prediction model for the pathological upgrading of gastric LGIN based on white-light and magnifying endoscopic features can accurately and effectively guide clinical diagnosis and treatment.展开更多
BACKGROUND The need for an emergency upgrade of a hospitalized trauma patient from the floor to the trauma intensive care unit(ICU)is an unanticipated event with possible life-threatening consequences.Unplanned ICU ad...BACKGROUND The need for an emergency upgrade of a hospitalized trauma patient from the floor to the trauma intensive care unit(ICU)is an unanticipated event with possible life-threatening consequences.Unplanned ICU admissions are associated with increased morbidity and mortality and are an indicator of trauma service quality.Two different types of unplanned ICU admissions include upgrades(patients admitted to the floor then moved to the ICU)and bounce backs(patients admitted to the ICU,discharged to the floor,and then readmitted to the ICU).Previous studies have shown that geriatric trauma patients are at higher risk for unfavorable outcomes.AIM To analyze the characteristics,management and outcomes of trauma patients who had an unplanned ICU admission during their hospitalization.METHODS This institutional review board approved,retrospective cohort study examined 203 adult trauma patients with unplanned ICU admission at an urban level 1 trauma center over a six-year period(2017-2023).This included 134 upgrades and 69 bounce backs.Analyzed variables included:(1)Age;(2)Sex;(3)Comorbidities;(4)Mechanism of injury(MOI);(5)Injury severity score(ISS);(6)Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS);(7)Type of injury;(8)Transfusions;(9)Consultations;(10)Timing and reason for unplanned admission;(11)Intubations;(12)Surgical interventions;(13)ICU and hospital lengths of stay;and(14)Mortality.RESULTS Unplanned ICU admissions comprised 4.2%of total ICU admissions.Main MOI was falls.Mean age was 70.7 years,ISS was 12.8 and GCS was 13.9.Main injuries were traumatic brain injury(37.4%)and thoracic injury(21.7%),and main reason for unplanned ICU admission was respiratory complication(39.4%).The 47.3%underwent a surgical procedure and 46.8%were intubated.Average timing for unplanned ICU admission was 2.9 days.Bounce backs occurred half as often as upgrades,however had higher rates of transfusions(63.8%vs 40.3%,P=0.002),consultations(4.8 vs 3.0,P<0.001),intubations(63.8%vs 38.1%%,P=0.001),longer ICU lengths of stay(13.2 days vs 6.4 days,P<0.001)and hospital lengths of stay(26.7 days vs 13.0 days,P<0.001).Mortality was 25.6%among unplanned ICU admissions,31.9%among geriatric unplanned ICU admissions and 11.9%among all trauma ICU patients.CONCLUSION Unplanned ICU admissions constituted 4.2%of total ICU admissions.Respiratory complications were the main cause of unplanned ICU admissions.Bounce backs occurred half as often as upgrades,but were associated with worse outcomes.展开更多
The next generation of synchrotron radiation light sources features extremely low emittance,enabling the generation of synchrotron radiation with significantly higher brilliance,which facilitates the exploration of ma...The next generation of synchrotron radiation light sources features extremely low emittance,enabling the generation of synchrotron radiation with significantly higher brilliance,which facilitates the exploration of matter at smaller scales.However,the extremely low emittance results in stronger sextupole magnet strengths,leading to high natural chromaticity.This necessitates the use of sextupole magnets to correct the natural chromaticity.For the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility Upgrade(SSRF-U),a lattice was designed for the storage ring that can achieve an ultra-low natural emittance of 72.2 pm·rad at the beam energy of 3.5 GeV.However,the significant detuning effects,driven by high second-order resonant driving terms due to strong sextupoles,will degrade the performance of the facility.To resolve this issue,installation of octupoles in the SSRF-U storage ring has been planned.This paper presents the study results on configuration selection and optimization method for the octupoles.An optimal solution for the SSRF-U storage ring was obtained to effectively mitigate the amplitude-dependent tune shift and the second-order chromaticity,consequently leading to an increased dynamic aperture(DA),momentum acceptance(MA),and reduced sensitivity to magnetic field errors.展开更多

文摘New-generation synchrotron light sources are being designed and operated worldwide to provide brighter radiation by reducing the beam emittance to X-ray diffraction limits.Intra-beam scattering(IBS)and Touschek scattering in such facilities are significant and require attention because of their ultra-low emittance.Therefore,cure strategies need to be carefully studied to obtain highquality photon beams.For the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility Upgrade(SSRF-U),a candidate lattice of the storage ring,reaching the soft X-ray diffraction limit,was designed and presented for the first time in this study.The emittance growth and beam lifetime in the SSRF-U storage ring were studied using particle simulations for a series of different machine configurations.The gains with RF frequencies of 100 MHz and 500 MHz were compared.Along with a better filling pattern,a more suitable RF frequency was adopted in the SSRF-U.The variations in the equilibrium beam emittance with beam coupling and bunch-lengthening were identified using simulations.Optimal beam coupling and required bunch-lengthening for the SSRF-U storage ring were thus determined.The fitness of the beam energy in the SSRF-U was subsequently assessed using the obtained parameters.Additionally,the Touschek scattering and beam lifetime were calculated,and an acceptable total beam lifetime was obtained.

文摘The next-generation RAN,known as Open Radio Access Network(ORAN),allows for several advantages,including cost-effectiveness,network flexibility,and interoperability.Now ORAN applications,utilising machine learning(ML)and artificial intelligence(AI)techniques,have become standard practice.The need for Federated Learning(FL)for ML model training in ORAN environments is heightened by the modularised structure of the ORAN architecture and the shortcomings of conventional ML techniques.However,the traditional plaintext model update sharing of FL in multi-BS contexts is susceptible to privacy violations such as deep-leakage gradient assaults and inference.Therefore,this research presents a novel blockchain-assisted improved cryptographic privacy-preserving federated learning(BICPPFL)model,with the help of ORAN,to safely carry out federated learning and protect privacy.This model improves on the conventional masking technique for sharing model parameters by adding new characteristics.These features include the choice of distributed aggregators,validation for final model aggregation,and individual validation for BSs.To manage the security and privacy of FL processes,a combined homomorphic proxy-reencryption(HPReE)and lattice-cryptographic method(HPReEL)has been used.The upgraded delegated proof of stake(Up-DPoS)consensus protocol,which will provide quick validation of model exchanges and protect against malicious attacks,is employed for effective consensus across blockchain nodes.Without sacrificing performance metrics,the BICPPFL model strengthens privacy and adds security layers while facilitating the transfer of sensitive data across several BSs.The framework is deployed on top of a Hyperledger Fabric blockchain to evaluate its effectiveness.The experimental findings prove the reliability and privacy-preserving capability of the BICPPFL model.

文摘BACKGROUND The discrepancy between endoscopic biopsy pathology and the overall pathology of gastric low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia(LGIN)presents challenges in developing diagnostic and treatment protocols.AIM To develop a risk prediction model for the pathological upgrading of gastric LGIN to aid clinical diagnosis and treatment.METHODS We retrospectively analyzed data from patients newly diagnosed with gastric LGIN who underwent complete endoscopic resection within 6 months at the First Medical Center of Chinese People’s Liberation Army General Hospital between January 2008 and December 2023.A risk prediction model for the pathological progression of gastric LGIN was constructed and evaluated for accuracy and clinical applicability.RESULTS A total of 171 patients were included in this study:93 patients with high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia or early gastric cancer and 78 with LGIN.The logistic stepwise regression model demonstrated a sensitivity and specificity of 0.868 and 0.800,respectively,while the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)regression model showed sensitivity and specificity values of 0.842 and 0.840,respectively.The area under the curve(AUC)for the logistic model was 0.896,slightly lower than the AUC of 0.904 for the LASSO model.Internal validation with 30%of the data yielded AUC scores of 0.908 for the logistic model and 0.905 for the LASSO model.The LASSO model provided greater utility in clinical decision-making.CONCLUSION A risk prediction model for the pathological upgrading of gastric LGIN based on white-light and magnifying endoscopic features can accurately and effectively guide clinical diagnosis and treatment.
文摘BACKGROUND The need for an emergency upgrade of a hospitalized trauma patient from the floor to the trauma intensive care unit(ICU)is an unanticipated event with possible life-threatening consequences.Unplanned ICU admissions are associated with increased morbidity and mortality and are an indicator of trauma service quality.Two different types of unplanned ICU admissions include upgrades(patients admitted to the floor then moved to the ICU)and bounce backs(patients admitted to the ICU,discharged to the floor,and then readmitted to the ICU).Previous studies have shown that geriatric trauma patients are at higher risk for unfavorable outcomes.AIM To analyze the characteristics,management and outcomes of trauma patients who had an unplanned ICU admission during their hospitalization.METHODS This institutional review board approved,retrospective cohort study examined 203 adult trauma patients with unplanned ICU admission at an urban level 1 trauma center over a six-year period(2017-2023).This included 134 upgrades and 69 bounce backs.Analyzed variables included:(1)Age;(2)Sex;(3)Comorbidities;(4)Mechanism of injury(MOI);(5)Injury severity score(ISS);(6)Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS);(7)Type of injury;(8)Transfusions;(9)Consultations;(10)Timing and reason for unplanned admission;(11)Intubations;(12)Surgical interventions;(13)ICU and hospital lengths of stay;and(14)Mortality.RESULTS Unplanned ICU admissions comprised 4.2%of total ICU admissions.Main MOI was falls.Mean age was 70.7 years,ISS was 12.8 and GCS was 13.9.Main injuries were traumatic brain injury(37.4%)and thoracic injury(21.7%),and main reason for unplanned ICU admission was respiratory complication(39.4%).The 47.3%underwent a surgical procedure and 46.8%were intubated.Average timing for unplanned ICU admission was 2.9 days.Bounce backs occurred half as often as upgrades,however had higher rates of transfusions(63.8%vs 40.3%,P=0.002),consultations(4.8 vs 3.0,P<0.001),intubations(63.8%vs 38.1%%,P=0.001),longer ICU lengths of stay(13.2 days vs 6.4 days,P<0.001)and hospital lengths of stay(26.7 days vs 13.0 days,P<0.001).Mortality was 25.6%among unplanned ICU admissions,31.9%among geriatric unplanned ICU admissions and 11.9%among all trauma ICU patients.CONCLUSION Unplanned ICU admissions constituted 4.2%of total ICU admissions.Respiratory complications were the main cause of unplanned ICU admissions.Bounce backs occurred half as often as upgrades,but were associated with worse outcomes.
文摘The next generation of synchrotron radiation light sources features extremely low emittance,enabling the generation of synchrotron radiation with significantly higher brilliance,which facilitates the exploration of matter at smaller scales.However,the extremely low emittance results in stronger sextupole magnet strengths,leading to high natural chromaticity.This necessitates the use of sextupole magnets to correct the natural chromaticity.For the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility Upgrade(SSRF-U),a lattice was designed for the storage ring that can achieve an ultra-low natural emittance of 72.2 pm·rad at the beam energy of 3.5 GeV.However,the significant detuning effects,driven by high second-order resonant driving terms due to strong sextupoles,will degrade the performance of the facility.To resolve this issue,installation of octupoles in the SSRF-U storage ring has been planned.This paper presents the study results on configuration selection and optimization method for the octupoles.An optimal solution for the SSRF-U storage ring was obtained to effectively mitigate the amplitude-dependent tune shift and the second-order chromaticity,consequently leading to an increased dynamic aperture(DA),momentum acceptance(MA),and reduced sensitivity to magnetic field errors.
