Objective:To analyze the efficacy of ultrasonic emulsification and small incision cataract extracapsular extraction in cataract patients.Methods:96 cataract patients admitted from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected and randomly grouped into group A(ultrasonic emulsification)and group B(small-incision extracapsular cataract extraction),with 48 cases each. Results:At 1 week,1-month,and 3 months post-operation,the visual acuity of group A was higher and the astigmatism value was lower than that of group B(P<0.05);at 12h,24h,and 48h post-operation,the intraocular pressure of group A was higher than that of group B(P<0.05);the thickness of macular area of group A was lower than that of group B at 1 week and 1-month post-operation(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ultrasonic emulsification in cataract patients was slightly better than small incision cataract extracapsular extraction in correcting astigmatism, improving visual acuity, and regulating macular thickness. However, due to the high energy of ultrasonic emulsification, the risk of complications such as high postoperative intraocular pressure was higher.Small-incision extracapsular cataract extraction has better application value in economically disadvantaged areas. 展开更多

Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of cataract ultrasonic emulsification(PE)combined with atrial angle separation(CSS)for primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG).Methods:78 patients with PACG admitted to the hospital between October 2021 and October 2023 were selected and grouped by randomized numerical table;39 cases were counted in the observation group and selected PE combined with CSS surgery;39 cases were counted in the reference group and selected PE combined with trabeculectomy and the total effective rate, the state of the atrial angle, the clinical indexes, the degree of ocular symptoms, and the complication rate were compared. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the reference group, and the percentage of the wide atrial angle of the atrial angle status was higher than that of the reference group;3 months after the operation, the logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution(Log MAR)and intraocular pressure of the observation group was lower than that of the reference group, and the central anterior chamber depth(ACD)was greater than that of the reference group;the scores of the degree of ocular symptoms of the observation group were lower than that of the reference group, and the rate of complication was lower than that of the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion:PE combined with CSS surgical treatment for PACG patients can improve the efficacy of treatment, improve the state of the patients’atrial angles, and restore the ocular function indexes. It can alleviate the ocular symptoms as soon as possible and has a high surgical safety. 展开更多

Objective: to observe and analyze the clinical value of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation combined with nourishing yin and tonifying kidney in the treatment of cataract. Methods: 100 cases of cataract patients admitted to our hospital from December 2019 to December 2021 were randomly divided into study group and control group with 50 cases in each group. The clinical efficacy, perioperative vision, perioperative vision, perioperative side effects, complications and prognosis of the two groups of patients were observed. Results: in the evaluation of curative effect after treatment, compared with the control group, the eye pressure and vision of the observation group were significantly reduced, and the perioperative side effects of the observation group were less. The early postoperative prognosis evaluation results showed that the vision-related quality of life score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, while the anterior chamber depth was larger, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: through discussion, it is found that phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation combined with nourishing yin and tonifying kidney method is of outstanding value in improving the curative effect, promoting the improvement of intraocular pressure and visual acuity, reducing the adverse reactions during the perioperative period and improving the effect of early prognosis, which is worthy of development. It has positive effects in improving therapeutic effect, improving intraocular pressure and vision level, and reducing adverse reactions during the perioperative period. 展开更多

Emulsions are inherently thermodynamically unstable dispersions that are widely involved in food processing, cosmetic preparation, and drug delivery. The existing ultrasonic emulsification techniques mainly rely on the direct contact between the sonicator probe and liquids, which causes localized high temperature and pressure within the liquid and influences the final properties of the obtained emulsion. In this work,a containerless emulsification approach has been realized by using ultrasonic levitation. The emulsification of water‒oil system can be promoted by adjusting the emitter‒reflector distance to alter the acoustic radiation pressure on the surface of the levitated drop. The dynamic behaviors of the emulsification process were monitored by using a high-speed camera, and the sound field was analyzed via numerical simu-lation.The experimental results showed that atomization of droplets driven by sound field was the main driving force for emulsification. This method can be used to pre-pare emulsions in which the average diameter of the droplets was about 2–3µm.The work provided a new method for containerless emulsification, thus shedding light on the preparation of contamination-free pharmaceuticals. 展开更多

Pickering emulsions were prepared by phacoemulsification in an ice water bath with squalene as the oil phase and an aluminum adjuvant as the particle stabilizer. The effects of formulation and process conditions on the size and distribution of the Pickering emulsions were investigated.Pickering emulsions prepared under the optimal prescription and process conditions were mixed with a peptide antigen to obtain a peptide vaccine. The optimal prescription and process condition of the Pickering emulsion is as follows:squalene as the oil phase,ultra-pure water as the water phase with 5 mg/mL aluminum adjuvant, and an ultrasonication time of 4 min at 200 W power.BALB/c mice were immunized with the peptide vaccine, and the ability of the Pickering emulsion as an immunological adjuvant to improve the efficacy of the peptide vaccine was evaluated.Under optimal conditions,a Pickering emulsion with a small particle size(430.8 nm),uniform distribution(polydispersion index of 16.9%),and zeta potential of 31.5 mV,was obtained.Immunological results showed that the serum specific antibody level in the vaccinated group reached 1×104 after three immunizations. The proportion of CD4+T cells and CD4/CD8 cells was significantly higher(P<0.05)in the vaccinated groups than the blank control group.Further,cytokine(TNF-𝛼)secretion decreased in the aluminum adjuvant and Pickering emulsion groups but increased in the Freund’s adjuvant group. All three vaccinated groups of mice exhibited low but detectable levels of IFN-𝛾secretion. 展开更多
