Objective:To determine the prevalence of bullying among university students in Jordan.The study also aims to identify potential predictors of bullying within the context of university students in Jordan.Methods:A cros...Objective:To determine the prevalence of bullying among university students in Jordan.The study also aims to identify potential predictors of bullying within the context of university students in Jordan.Methods:A cross-sectional study using a convenience sampling method was conducted with 350 university students from 3 institutions(2 public and 1 private),who par ticipated in this study.Data were collected through a self-repor ted questionnaire.Data analysis employed descriptive statistics,and multivariate linear regression was executed through the SPSS program(version 26)(IBM Corporation,Armonk,New York,United States)at 5% level of significance.Results:The findings revealed that 30% of the surveyed students reported never experiencing bullying,41.1% indicated rare exposure,20% reported occasional bullying,4.3% noted frequent exposure,and 4.6% reported constant exposure.Statistical analysis identified university and academic year as significant predictors of bullying.The university exhibited significance(B=-0.403,P≤0.05),while the academic year was also a significant predictor(B=0.213,P≤0.05).Conclusions:Given the prevalence and predictors identified,this study recommends the implementation of policies in universities to safeguard students from bullying.These policies should specifically target the most affected individuals.展开更多
Attribute-Based Encryption(ABE)has emerged as a fundamental access control mechanism in data sharing,enabling data owners to define flexible access policies.A critical aspect of ABE is key revocation,which plays a piv...Attribute-Based Encryption(ABE)has emerged as a fundamental access control mechanism in data sharing,enabling data owners to define flexible access policies.A critical aspect of ABE is key revocation,which plays a pivotal role in maintaining security.However,existing key revocation mechanisms face two major challenges:(1)High overhead due to ciphertext and key updates,primarily stemming from the reliance on revocation lists during attribute revocation,which increases computation and communication costs.(2)Limited universality,as many attribute revocation mechanisms are tailored to specific ABE constructions,restricting their broader applicability.To address these challenges,we propose LUAR(Lightweight and Universal Attribute Revocation),a novel revocation mechanism that leverages Intel Software Guard Extensions(SGX)while minimizing its inherent limitations.Given SGX’s constrained memory(≈90 MB in a personal computer)and susceptibility to side-channel attacks,we carefully manage its usage to reduce reliance while mitigating potential collusion risks between cloud service providers and users.To evaluate LUAR’s lightweight and universality,we integrate it with the classic BSW07 scheme,which can be seamlessly replaced with other ABE constructions.Experimental results demonstrate that LUAR enables secure attribute revocation with low computation and communication overhead.The processing time within the SGX environment remains stable at approximately 55 ms,regardless of the complexity of access policies,ensuring no additional storage or computational burden on SGX.Compared to the Hardware-based Revocable Attribute-Based Encryption(HR-ABE)scheme(IEEE S&P 2024),LUAR incurs a slightly higher computational cost within SGX;however,the overall time from initiating a data request to obtaining plaintext is shorter.As access policies grow more complex,LUAR’s advantages become increasingly evident,showcasing its superior efficiency and broader applicability.展开更多

At inference time,deep neural networks are susceptible to backdoor attacks,which can produce attackercontrolled outputs when inputs contain carefully crafted triggers.Existing defense methods often focus on specific a...At inference time,deep neural networks are susceptible to backdoor attacks,which can produce attackercontrolled outputs when inputs contain carefully crafted triggers.Existing defense methods often focus on specific attack types or incur high costs,such as data cleaning or model fine-tuning.In contrast,we argue that it is possible to achieve effective and generalizable defense without removing triggers or incurring high model-cleaning costs.Fromthe attacker’s perspective and based on characteristics of vulnerable neuron activation anomalies,we propose an Adaptive Feature Injection(AFI)method for black-box backdoor detection.AFI employs a pre-trained image encoder to extract multi-level deep features and constructs a dynamic weight fusionmechanism for precise identification and interception of poisoned samples.Specifically,we select the control samples with the largest feature differences fromthe clean dataset via feature-space analysis,and generate blended sample pairs with the test sample using dynamic linear interpolation.The detection statistic is computed by measuring the divergence G(x)in model output responses.We systematically evaluate the effectiveness of AFI against representative backdoor attacks,including BadNets,Blend,WaNet,and IAB,on three benchmark datasets:MNIST,CIFAR-10,and ImageNet.Experimental results show that AFI can effectively detect poisoned samples,achieving average detection rates of 95.20%,94.15%,and 86.49%on these datasets,respectively.Compared with existing methods,AFI demonstrates strong cross-domain generalization ability and robustness to unknown attacks.展开更多

These six universals and two general relations are examined by experiment and numerical calculation of two-layer flow based on the canonical character of the coefficients of the fKdV equations. From comparisons among the theoretical, numerical and experimental results, it is shown that they are in good agreement. There is not any free parameter in this theory, so the theory of the present paper can be used to predict the wave properties of locally forced precursor soliton generation.展开更多

BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety are prevalent among university students worldwide,often coexisting with functional constipation(FC).Family relationships have been identified as crucial factors affecting mental healt...BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety are prevalent among university students worldwide,often coexisting with functional constipation(FC).Family relationships have been identified as crucial factors affecting mental health,yet the gender-specific associations between these conditions remain underexplored.AIM To assess prevalence of depressive symptoms,anxiety symptoms,and FC among Chinese university students and explore their associations.METHODS Using a cross-sectional survey design,data were collected from 12721 students at two universities in Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province.Depressive symptoms were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9,anxiety symptoms using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 scale,and FC using the ROME IV.Gender-stratified analyses and population attributable risk proportions were calculated to evaluate risk factor patterns and population impact.RESULTS The prevalence of self-reported depressive,anxiety,and comorbid depressive and anxiety symptoms was 16.3%,24.9%,and 13.3%,respectively,whereas that of FC was 22%.Students with depressive symptoms were 1.811 times more likely to have FC than those without.Female gender,parental relationships,and lower household income were significant risk factors for both mental health conditions.For depressive symptoms,females experienced stronger effects from both parental conflict[odds ratio(OR)=8.006 vs OR=7.661 in males]and FC(OR=1.954 vs OR=1.628 in males).For anxiety symptoms,conflicted parental relationships had stronger effects in males(OR=5.946)than females(OR=4.262).Overall,poor parental relationships contributed to 38.6%of depressive and 33.5%of anxiety symptoms.CONCLUSION Family relationships significantly impact student mental health,with gender-specific patterns.Targeted interventions addressing family dynamics could reduce mental health burden in university settings.展开更多

文摘Six physical universals and two general relations in the problem of locally forced precursor soliton generation are found theoretically in terms of the AfKdV equation derived by authors. These six universals and two general relations are examined by experiment and numerical calculation of two-layer flow based on the canonical character of the coefficients of the fKdV equations. From comparisons among the theoretical, numerical and experimental results, it is shown that they are in good agreement. There is not any free parameter in this theory, so the theory of the present paper can be used to predict the wave properties of locally forced precursor soliton generation.

文摘With the rapid development of virtual reality(VR)and augmented reality(AR)technologies,their application potential in the field of education has become increasingly significant.For a long time,fire safety education in university laboratories has faced numerous challenges,and traditional teaching methods have been insufficiently effective,with high-risk scenarios difficult to realistically recreate.Especially in special scenarios involving hazardous chemicals,conventional training methods struggle to enable learners to achieve deep understanding and behavioral formation.This study systematically integrates immersive technology theory with safety education needs,providing a replicable technical solution for safety education in high-risk environments.Its modular design approach has reference value for expansion into other professional fields,offering practical evidence for innovation in safety education models in the digital age.

文摘BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety are prevalent among university students worldwide,often coexisting with functional constipation(FC).Family relationships have been identified as crucial factors affecting mental health,yet the gender-specific associations between these conditions remain underexplored.AIM To assess prevalence of depressive symptoms,anxiety symptoms,and FC among Chinese university students and explore their associations.METHODS Using a cross-sectional survey design,data were collected from 12721 students at two universities in Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province.Depressive symptoms were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9,anxiety symptoms using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 scale,and FC using the ROME IV.Gender-stratified analyses and population attributable risk proportions were calculated to evaluate risk factor patterns and population impact.RESULTS The prevalence of self-reported depressive,anxiety,and comorbid depressive and anxiety symptoms was 16.3%,24.9%,and 13.3%,respectively,whereas that of FC was 22%.Students with depressive symptoms were 1.811 times more likely to have FC than those without.Female gender,parental relationships,and lower household income were significant risk factors for both mental health conditions.For depressive symptoms,females experienced stronger effects from both parental conflict[odds ratio(OR)=8.006 vs OR=7.661 in males]and FC(OR=1.954 vs OR=1.628 in males).For anxiety symptoms,conflicted parental relationships had stronger effects in males(OR=5.946)than females(OR=4.262).Overall,poor parental relationships contributed to 38.6%of depressive and 33.5%of anxiety symptoms.CONCLUSION Family relationships significantly impact student mental health,with gender-specific patterns.Targeted interventions addressing family dynamics could reduce mental health burden in university settings.
