Meningeal lymphatic vessels not only play a key role in the drainage of brain metabolites but also contribute to antigen delivery and immune cell activation. The advent of novel genomic technologies has enabled rapid progress in the characterization of myeloid and lymphoid cells and their interactions with meningeal lymphatic vessels within the central nervous system. In this review, we provide an overview of the multifaceted roles of meningeal lymphatic vessels within the context of the central nervous system immune network, highlighting recent discoveries on the immunological niche provided by meningeal lymphatic vessels. Furthermore, we delve into the mechanisms of crosstalk between meningeal lymphatic vessels and immune cells in the central nervous system under both homeostatic conditions and neurodegenerative diseases, discussing how these interactions shape the pathological outcomes. Regulation of meningeal lymphatic vessel function and structure can influence lymphatic drainage, cerebrospinal fluid-borne immune modulators, and immune cell populations in aging and neurodegenerative disorders, thereby playing a key role in shaping meningeal and brain parenchyma immunity.展开更多

文摘Tin(Sn)-lead(Pb)mixed halide perovskites have attracted widespread interest due to their wider re-sponse wavelength and lower toxicity than lead halide perovskites,Among the preparation methods, the two-step method more easily controls the crystallization rate and is suitable for preparing large-area per-ovskite devices. However, the residual low-conductivity iodide layer in the two-step method can affect carrier transport and device stability, and the different crystallization rates of Sn-and Pb-based per-ovskites may result in poor film quality.Therefore,Sn-Pb mixed perovskites are mainly prepared by a one-step method.Herein,a MAPb_(0.5)Sn_(0.5)I_(3)-based self-powered photodetector without a hole transport layer is fabricated by a two-step method.By adjusting the concentration of the ascorbic acid(AA)addi-tive,the final perovskite film exhibited a pure phase without residues, and the optimal device exhibited a high responsivity(0.276 A W^(-1)),large specific detectivity(2.38×10^(12) Jones),and enhanced stability. This enhancement is mainly attributed to the inhibition of Sn2+oxidation,the control of crystal growth, and the sufficient reaction between organic ammonium salts and bottom halides due to the AA-induced pore structure.

文摘Drug delivery systems(DDS)have recently emerged as a promising approach for the unique advantages of drug protection and targeted delivery. However, the access of nanoparticles/drugs to the central nervous system(CNS)remains a challenge mainly due to the obstruction from brain barriers.Immune cells infiltrating the CNS in the pathological state have inspired the development of strategies for CNS foundation drug delivery.Herein,we outline the three major brain barriers in the CNS and the mechanisms by which immune cells migrate across the blood–brain barrier. We subsequently review biomimetic strategies utilizing immune cell-based nanoparticles for the delivery of nanoparticles/drugs to the CNS,as well as recent progress in rationally engineering immune cell-based DDS for CNS diseases. Finally,we discuss the challenges and opportunities of immune cell-based DDS in CNS diseases to promote their clinical development.

文摘The skeleton is innervated by different types of nerves and receives signaling from the nervous system to maintain homeostasis and facilitate regeneration or repair.Although the role of peripheral nerves and signals in regulating bone homeostasis has been extensively investigated, the intimate relationship between the central nervous system and bone remains less understood, yet it has emerged as a hot topic in the bone field. In this review,we discussed clinical observations and animal studies that elucidate the connection between the nervous system and bone metabolism, either intact or after injury.First,we explored mechanistic studies linking specific brain nuclei with bone homeostasis, including the ventromedial hypothalamus, arcuate nucleus, paraventricular hypothalamic nucleus, amygdala, and locus coeruleus. We then focused on the characteristics of bone innervation and nerve subtypes, such as sensory, sympathetic, and parasympathetic nerves. Moreover,we summarized the molecular features and regulatory functions of these nerves. Finally,we included available translational approaches that utilize nerve function to improve bone homeostasis and promote bone regeneration. Therefore, considering the nervous system within the context of neuromusculoskeletal interactions can deepen our understanding of skeletal homeostasis and repair process, ultimately benefiting future clinical translation.

文摘BACKGROUND Major depressive disorder(MDD)with comorbid anxiety is an intricate psychiatric condition, but limited research is available on the degree centrality(DC)between anxious MDD and nonanxious MDD patients.AIM To examine changes in DC values and their use as neuroimaging biomarkers in anxious and non-anxious MDD patients.METHODS We examined 23 anxious MDD patients,30 nonanxious MDD patients, and 28 healthy controls(HCs)using the DC for data analysis.RESULTS Compared with HCs,the anxious MDD group reported markedly reduced DC values in the right fusiform gyrus(FFG)and inferior occipital gyrus, whereas elevated DC values in the left middle frontal gyrus and left inferior parietal angular gyrus. The nonanxious MDD group exhibited surged DC values in the bilateral cerebellum IX,right precuneus, and opercular part of the inferior frontal gyrus.Unlike the nonanxious MDD group, the anxious MDD group exhibited declined DC values in the right FFG and bilateral calcarine(CAL).Besides, declined DC values in the right FFG and bilateral CAL negatively correlated with anxiety scores in the MDD group.CONCLUSION This study shows that abnormal DC patterns in MDD,especially in the left CAL,can distinguish MDD from its anxiety subtype, indicating a potential neuroimaging biomarker.

文摘High-performance graphite materials have important roles in aerospace and nuclear reactor technologies because of their outstanding chemical stability and high-temperature performance.Their traditional production method relies on repeated impregnation-carbonization and graphitization, and is plagued by lengthy preparation cycles and high energy consumption.Phase transition-assisted self-pressurized selfsintering technology can rapidly produce high-strength graphite materials, but the fracture strain of the graphite materials produced is poor.To solve this problem, this study used a two-step sintering method to uniformly introduce micro-nano pores into natural graphite-based bulk graphite, achieving improved fracture strain of the samples without reducing their density and mechanical properties.Using natural graphite powder,micron-diamond,and nano-diamond as raw materials, and by precisely controlling the staged pressure release process, the degree of diamond phase transition expansion was effectively regulated. The strain-to-failure of the graphite samples reached 1.2%,a 35%increase compared to samples produced by fullpressure sintering.Meanwhile, their flexural strength exceeded 110 MPa,and their density was over 1.9 g/cm^(3).The process therefore produced both a high strength and a high fracture strain. The interface evolution and toughening mechanism during the two-step sintering process were investigated. It is believed that the micro-nano pores formed have two roles:as stress concentrators they induce yielding by shear and as multi-crack propagation paths they significantly lengthen the crack propagation path. The two-step sintering phase transition strategy introduces pores and provides a new approach for increasing the fracture strain of brittle materials.
文摘BACKGROUND Long-term chemotherapy for patients with gastric cancer(GC),facilitated by peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)catheterization, reduces vascular damage and enhances drug delivery efficiency but carries risks of catheter-related complications.A combination of group psychological nursing and physical mo-vement care significantly mitigates the risk of venous thrombosis and improves psychological well-being,and enhances motor function, underscoring its clinical importance.AIM To assess group psychological and physical movement nursing in preventing venous thrombosis in patients with PICC GC.METHODS Sixty-five GC patients with PICC,admitted from January 2022 to January 2023,were randomly divided into two groups using the lottery method:A control group(n=35,routine nursing)and an observation group(n=30,routine nursing plus psychological nursing and physical movement nursing). Both groups re-ceived continuous care for 2 weeks.Pre-nursing and post-nursing data on psycho-logical state, physical function,chemotherapy-related thrombosis incidence, and cancer-related fatigue were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and GraphPad Prism 8.0.RESULTS After nursing, both groups showed reduced Hamilton Anxiety Scale scores and increased General Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale scores, with the observation group performing better(P<0.05).The Functional Comprehensive Assessment score for the observation group after nursing was(65.42±2.35)points,lower than the control group’s(62.19±4.33)points(P<0.05).Although no significant difference was observed in the incidence of venous thrombosis between the two groups(χ2=0.815,P=0.367),the observation group had lower incidence. Both groups showed decreased Revised Piper Fatigue Scale scores, with the observation group scoring lower(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Group psychological and physical movement nursing for patients with PICC reduces venous thrombosis risk, improves psychological well-being,cancer-related fatigue, and physical function, making it highly promotable.
