In the glass microchi...A microfluidic system was developed for the synthesis of trigonal selenium(t-Se) nanowires, which was composed of a glass microchip coupled with a poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) microchip. In the glass microchip, amorphous selenium(a-Se) colloid was prepared by reducing selenious acid with an excess amount of hydrazine at a temperature of 100 ℃. In the coupled PMMA microchip, a-Se was transformed into more stable t-Se seeds via sonication at room temperature. The residence time of the reactants in both microchips was optimized by varying the dimension and length of the microchannel each. The t-Se nanowires were formed by anisotropic growth of selenium crystallite during sonication and aging under the assistance of β-cyclodextrin(β-CD). Various stages of the nanowires' growth were investigated. The as-synthesized products were characterized by powder X-Ray diffraction(XRD), Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and selected-area electron diffraction(SAED).展开更多
BACKGROUND Tumors originating from the posterior bladder wall can be challenging to diagnose because they may mimic a mass from the uterine cervix.Atypical leiomyoma of the bladder trigone is extremely rare,with few r...BACKGROUND Tumors originating from the posterior bladder wall can be challenging to diagnose because they may mimic a mass from the uterine cervix.Atypical leiomyoma of the bladder trigone is extremely rare,with few reported cases,and requires caution during surgery to avoid damage to the adjacent ureter.Diagnostic surgery and confirmational pathology are essential to assess whether the tumor is malignant and relieve clinical symptoms.Herein,we describe a case of recurrent leiomyoma with focal atypia in the bladder trigone.CASE SUMMARY A 29-year-old woman with a uterine fibroid incidentally found at a regular checkup was referred to our hospital.Based on magnetic resonance imaging,either urinary bladder leiomyoma or protrusion of pedunculated uterine cervical fibroid into the bladder was suspected.This leiomyoma in the trigone of the bladder was completely excised by laparotomy,and the patient was discharged without complication.Follow-up outpatient ultrasonography identified tumor recurrence after four years.As focal atypia was identified previously,laparotomy was performed to confirm the pathology.A round solid mass was resected from the posterior bladder wall without injuring either ureteric orifice.This tumor was pathologically diagnosed as a leiomyoma without atypia.Three-year follow-up ultrasonography has revealed no recurrence.CONCLUSION Atypical leiomyoma in bladder trigone is rare and could be easily mistaken for fibroid in the uterine cervix.To confirm histopathology,surgical excision is mandatory and regular follow-up is necessary to detect recurrence.展开更多

The compound belongs to the trigonal R3 space group with a = b = 15.8761(2), c = 23.4943(5) ?, V = 5128.4(1) ?3, Z = 3, Dc = 1.965 g/cm3, μ = 2.869 mm-1, F(000) = 3012, the final R = 0.0332 and wR = 0.0844 for 3596 independent reflections. In the cation, the Pr3+ ion is situated at the center of a prism formed by six copper atoms and coordinates to nine oxygen atoms with a tricapped trigonal prismatic coordination polyhedron. Six glycine ligands and six imidazole terminal ligands participate in constructing the cluster.展开更多
BACKGROUND Resection of deep intracranial tumors requires significant brain retraction,which frequently causes brain damage.In particular,tumor in the trigone of the lateral ventricular presents a surgical challenge d...BACKGROUND Resection of deep intracranial tumors requires significant brain retraction,which frequently causes brain damage.In particular,tumor in the trigone of the lateral ventricular presents a surgical challenge due to its inaccessible location and intricate adjacent relationships with essential structures such as the optic radiation(OR)fibers.New brain retraction systems have been developed to minimize retraction-associated injury.To date,there is little evidence supporting the superiority of any retraction system in preserving the white matter tract integrity.This report illustrates the initial surgical excision in two patients using a new retraction system termed the cerebral corridor creator(CCC)and demonstrates its advantage in protecting OR fibers.CASE SUMMARY We report two patients with nonspecific symptoms,who had trigone ventricular lesions that involved the neighboring OR identified on preoperative diffusion tensor imaging(DTI).Both patients underwent successful surgical excision using the CCC.Total tumor removal was achieved without additional neurological deficit.DTI showed that the OR fibers were preserved along the surgical field.Preoperative symptoms were alleviated immediately after surgery.Clinical outcomes were improved according to the Glasgow-Outcome-Scale and Activity-of-Daily-Living Scale assessments.CONCLUSION In the two cases,the CCC was a safe and useful tool for creating access to the deep trigonal area while preserving the white matter tract integrity.The CCC is thus a promising alternative brain retractor.展开更多

Trigonitis and interstitial inflammation are the most common morphological features of abacterial cystitis in young and post menopausal women. Arterial obstructive disease and bladder ischemia might play an important role in bladder dysfunction. Activated inflammatory cells produce ROS (radicals of oxygen), NF kB seems involved in ROS synthesis. Clinical studies have indicated that high CO2 levels can impact upon peripheral tissue, reducing ischaemia, responsible of recurrent inflammation and consequently reducing oxydative phenomena. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a volume of fractionated plasma from the patient's own blood that contains platelet concentrate rich of alpha granules. PRP interacts tissue repair mechanisms by placing supra-physiological concentrations of autologous platelets at the site of tissue damage. This study proposes a single PRP transvaginal injection followed by 10 weekly applications of carboxytherapy, using subcutaneous injections of sterile CO2 gas. We have selected 6 Women (50-75 years), affected by recurrent abacterial cystitis with Pain and urge incontinence. All patients showed a subjective sensible reduction of symptoms. After 2 months all patients have neither inflammatory symptoms nor endoscopic evidence of trigonitis. Preliminary qualitative results could encourage the use of carboxytherapy and PRP in treatment of abacterial and interstitial cystitis.展开更多

Hybrid perovskites have attracted enormous attention in the next generation resistive switching(RS)memristor for the artificial synapses,owing to their ambipolar charge transport,long diffusion length,and tunable visi...Hybrid perovskites have attracted enormous attention in the next generation resistive switching(RS)memristor for the artificial synapses,owing to their ambipolar charge transport,long diffusion length,and tunable visible bandgap.However,the variable switch,limited reproducibility,and poor endurance are the obstacles to the practical application of the perovskite memristors.Herein,we reported a multilevel RS nonvolatile memory based on a 3D trigonal HC(NH_(2))_(2)PbI_(3)(α‐FAPbI_(3))perovskite layer modified by 1‐cyanobutyl‐3‐methylimidazolium chloride([CNBmim]Cl)and sandwiched between ITO and Au electrodes(Au/[CNBmim]Cl/α‐FAPbI_(3)/SnO_(2)/ITO).In contrast to the bare memristor with failure switching from low resistance state(LRS)to high resistance state(HRS),the memristor device based on theα‐FAPbI_(3) modified with[CNBmim]Cl(Target device)shows the retention time over 10^(4) s with On/Off ratio(>10^(2))and endurance up to 550 cycles.The stable RS cycle benefits from the accelerated electrons de‐trapping from the reduced defects and fast charge separation in the interface ofα‐FAPbI_(3)/electrode,leading to the rupture of conductive filaments and transition of LRS to HRS.As a two‐terminal analog synaptic device,the target device can realize random handwritten digit recognition with an impressive accuracy of 89.3%on the condition of low learning phases(500 training cycles).展开更多
Tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α) is a type of critical pro-inflammatory cytokines,which participates in numerous cellular signal pathways and is regarded as a critical protein biomarker for inflammatory based disea...Tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α) is a type of critical pro-inflammatory cytokines,which participates in numerous cellular signal pathways and is regarded as a critical protein biomarker for inflammatory based diseases.In this contribution,we have developed a strategy to fabricate multiple DNA star trigon structures with fluorescence signals from four hairpin probes which are detonated by a single molecule of TNF-α.This process causes significant enhancement of fluorescence and a sensitive and selective biosensor for TNF-α assay is constructed.This method is able to achieve the limit of detection(LOD) at 5 pg/mL(0.285 pM).Moreover,some other advantages such as fast response,high selectivity and convenient operation promise the potential use of this method for TNF-α measurement in point of care testing application.Upon further development,this strategy can also be converted to detect other analytes such as small molecules,nucleic acids and other proteins.展开更多
α-RuCl_(3)is a tantalizing playground to search for the quantum spin liquid states with leading Kitaev term due to the conformation of Jackeli-Khaliullin mechanism.Suppressing the non-Kitaev interaction to approach t...α-RuCl_(3)is a tantalizing playground to search for the quantum spin liquid states with leading Kitaev term due to the conformation of Jackeli-Khaliullin mechanism.Suppressing the non-Kitaev interaction to approach the Kitaev limit is the major objective in the experimental design of Kitaev-Jackeli-Khaliullin materials,for which the practical feasibility rests on the manipulation of the exact crystalline structure.A tensile strain,leading to the further compressive trigonal field splitting which would alter the spin-orbital entangled character and tune the intrinsic hopping exchanges,has been widely proposed as the promising strategy to enhance the comparative Kitaev interaction.In this work,we preform in-depth Scan Tunneling Microscope study on the electronic patterns of strainedα-RuCl_(3)monolayer on graphite substrate.Based on Chen’s derivative rule,a further trigonal field splitting is identified by analyzing the lateral-gradient imaging effect caused by an anisotropic tip.A spatial variation of the magnitude of trigonal crystal field due to the slight inhomogeneity of strain accords with the orbital polarization near the Mott gap.All evidences point to the facts that the compressive trigonal crystal field in the stretchedα-RuCl_(3)monolayer lifts the degeneracy of t2g states with higher eg and lower a1g orbitals,and the Coulomb interactions of the eg orbitals take the main responsibility for the Mott effect.展开更多
