In the health field,longitudinal studies involve the recording of clinical observations of the same sample of pa-tients over successive periods,referred to as waves.This type of database serves as a valuable source of...In the health field,longitudinal studies involve the recording of clinical observations of the same sample of pa-tients over successive periods,referred to as waves.This type of database serves as a valuable source of infor-mation and insights,particularly when examining the temporal aspect,allowing the extraction of relevant and non-obvious knowledge.The triadic concept analysis theory has been proposed to describe the ternary re-lationships between objects,attributes,and conditions.In this study,we present a methodology for exploring longitudinal health databases using both the triadic theory and triadic rules,which are similar to association rules but incorporate temporal relations.Through four case studies,we demonstrate the potential of applying triadic analysis to longitudinal databases to identify risk patterns,enhance decision-making processes,and deepen our understanding of temporal dynamics.These findings suggest a promising approach for describing longitudinal databases and obtaining insights to improve clinical decision-support systems for disease treatment.展开更多

While classic percolation theory provides a novel perspective for analyzing epidemics and information dissemination, it fails to capture the temporal dynamics of these systems and the effects of virus invasion and governmental regulation. Triadic percolation theory, a recent advancement, addresses these limitations. In this paper, we apply this new percolation mechanism to model the diffusion of computer viruses, deriving a precise mathematical formulation of the triadic percolation model and providing an analytical solution of the triadic percolation threshold. Additionally, we investigate the impact of nonlinear transmission probability characteristics on virus propagation. Numerical simulations demonstrate that reducing the network's average degree(or the positive regulation) or increasing regulatory interventions raises the outbreak threshold for computer viruses while decreasing their final size. Moreover, the study reveals that nonlinear transmission probabilities result in an increased number of solutions for the final size of the computer viruses. Our findings contribute new insights into controlling the spread of computer viruses.展开更多

Cluster deletion and strong triadic closure are two important NP-complete problems that have received sig-nificant attention due to their applications in various areas,including social networks and data analysis.Altho...Cluster deletion and strong triadic closure are two important NP-complete problems that have received sig-nificant attention due to their applications in various areas,including social networks and data analysis.Although cluster deletion and strong triadic closure are closely linked by induced paths on three vertices,there are subtle differences be-tween them.In some cases,the solutions of strong triadic closure and cluster deletion are quite different.In this paper,we study the parameterized algorithms for these two problems.More specifically,we focus on the kernels of these two prob-lems.Instead of separating the critical clique and its neighbors for analysis,we consider them as a whole,which allows us to more effectively bound the number of related vertices.In addition,in analyzing the kernel of strong triadic closure,we introduce the concept of edge-disjoint induced path on three vertices,which enables us to obtain the lower bound of weak edge number in a more concise way.Our analysis demonstrates that cluster deletion and strong triadic closure both admit 2k-vertex kernels.These results represent improvements over previously best-known kernels for both problems.Further-more,our analysis provides additional insights into the relationship between cluster deletion and strong triadic closure.展开更多
