The wet grip of tire has always been the focus because it is related to the personal safety of passengers directly.Many methods were employed to improve the wet grip of tire.Researchers paid more attention on bionics method recent years.In nature,tree frogs have high adhesion ability in wet environment,which is mainly due to their footpads having fine polygon grooves(mainly hexagon grooves).To improve the performance of wet grip of tire,from the perspective of bionics,inspired by the footpad of tree frog,the bionic hexagon tread pattern was designed.The friction test was carried out to compare with the common tread patterns such as serrated,striped and square patterns.The results showed that the bionic hexagon tread pattern generally had high friction coefficient and directional stability of friction.The main reason was that the hexagon tread block was less affected by the friction-induced torque and the groove of bionic hexagon tread pattern had better drainage characteristic.The bionic hexagon tread pattern provides new idea and method for the design of tires with high wet grip. 展开更多

Generally, roller machines or human feet are used to tread young barley several times (Figure 1). As a model examination, a stainless steel instrument was used for treading barley in this study (Figure 2(a)). Treading damages plants and decreases growth, such as the height and weight of aerial parts, which then recover gradually. In our study, the total amino acid contents increased with the treading stress. The treading stress induced a 1.7-fold increase in aspartic acid contents and an approximately 1.6-fold increase in glutamic acid, proline, cystine, and methionine contents. Isolation and purification suggested that the main components of the methanol-eluted fraction from the young green barley were six known phenolic compounds. Saponarin and lutonarin were the main components. The saponarin content was about 160 mg/g (methanol-soluble fraction) at 10 days after germination. We found that the higher antioxidant activity was due to the increased lutonarin/saponarin ratio from 10% to 24%. Therefore, our results suggest that treading stress is useful for young green barley. 展开更多

Dynamic wheel-rail contact forces induced by a severe form of wheel tread damage have been measured by a wheel impact load detector during full-scale field tests at different vehicle speeds.Based on laser scanning,the measured three-dimensional damage geometry is employed in simulations of dynamic vehicle-track interaction to calibrate and verify a simulation model.The relation between the magnitude of the impact load and various operational parameters,such as vehicle speed,lateral position of wheel-rail contact,track stiffness and position of impact within a sleeper bay,is investigated.The calibrated model is later employed in simulations featuring other forms of tread damage;their effects on impact load and subsequent fatigue impact on bearings,wheel webs and subsurface initiated rolling contact fatigue of the wheel tread are assessed.The results quantify the effects of wheel tread defects and are valuable in a shift towards condition-based maintenance of running gear,and for general assessment of the severity of different types of railway wheel tread damage. 展开更多

A finite element modeling technique is employed in this paper to predict the groove wander of longitudinal tread grooved tires. In generally, groove wander is the lateral force acting on a vehicle’s wheel resulting from the combination of rain grooves. If the lateral force of tire is generated by groove wander, unexpected lateral motion of vehicle will happen and it makes drivers uncomfortable. This paper describes the effect of groove wander according to the shape condition of tire tread groove and highway groove using the finite element analysis based on a static loading or a steady-state rolling assumption. The road groove can be located anywhere relative to the longitudinal tread groove. Therefore, the lateral force of the tire is changing depending on the location of the groove road. The numerical results for groove wander prediction of the longitudinal tread grooved tires are compared with the subjective evaluation. It is found that the waveform for the tire with varying grooved road position has a peak-to-peak lateral force in order to estimate the rating of groove wander. The effect of the road groove width and the pitch length on the peak-to-peak lateral force of tire is discussed. It is found that the prediction of FEA-based groove wander model using finite element analysis will be useful for the reliability design of the tire tread pattern design. 展开更多

This study investigates the effect of various tread designs to enhance grip on both dry and wet friction,aiming to reduce slip and fall accidents,especially in slipprone workplaces and among the elderly.The research involves analyzing frictional performance and deformation characteristics through dry and wet friction testing.Computeraided design(CAD)software was used to create digital models of various tread patterns,and two different additive manufacturing(AM)techniques,fused filament fabrication(FFF)and stereolithography(SLA)printing,were used for three-dimensional(3D)print block samples with tread patterns,and the materials used were thermoplastic rubber(TPR)filament and photocurable elastomeric resin.A specialized friction testing machine was used to measure the friction force of the treads on a glass surface under dry and wet conditions.A high-speed camera recorded the treads’deformation and water drainage during testing.The results revealed the influence of tread pattern designs with two different rubber-like materials on friction and deformation,as well as performance on various contact surfaces. 展开更多

Tread modification has gained significant attention in recent years as a means to address the issue of wheel hollow wear.The wear resulting from tread modification can alter the wheel profile,thereby impacting the wheel-rail contact relationship and vehicle dynamics performance.Consequently,it is crucial to understand the influence of tread modification on wheel wear.This study proposes a prediction method for the wheel profile's comprehensive wear(WPCW)for high-speed trains,considering the impacts of both the wheel-rail interaction and the tread modification on the wheel profile comprehensive wear.First,simulation models are established to quantify wheel wear resulting from wheel-rail interactions and tread modification.Subsequently,the coupling relationship between the two models is subsequently strengthened by incorporating iterative calculation processes,resulting in the prediction model of the wheel profile comprehensive wear.Finally,the prediction method is calibrated and verified through measured data.The simulation results obtained using this method align with the measured results,confirming the feasibility of the proposed prediction method and its applicability in predicting the WPCW for high-speed trains. 展开更多

针对列车轮对踏面缺陷检测算法计算量、参数量较大,且高精度与低计算复杂度难以匹配等问题,提出一种基于YOLO11n算法的列车轮对踏面缺陷的轻量级检测算法。构建轻量化的高效幽灵开端(Ghost-Inceptiona)特征提取模块替代YOLO11n骨干网络... 针对列车轮对踏面缺陷检测算法计算量、参数量较大,且高精度与低计算复杂度难以匹配等问题,提出一种基于YOLO11n算法的列车轮对踏面缺陷的轻量级检测算法。构建轻量化的高效幽灵开端(Ghost-Inceptiona)特征提取模块替代YOLO11n骨干网络中的特征提取模块,降低模型的参数量与计算量,提高轮对踏面缺陷检测的精度和效率;在颈部网络中采用改进的带小卷积核的跨阶段部分连接瓶颈模块(C3k2_Faster-EMA)作为特征提取模块,提升算法对不同尺度下目标区域的特征提取融合能力,进而提高轮对踏面缺陷的检测精度;优化设计轻量化检测头,通过加入深度可分离卷积实现算法参数量、计算量的大幅降低;设计基于交并比(IoU)的改进损失函数(Focaler-PIoU),加强算法对不同尺度缺陷的适应性,提高踏面缺陷检测能力。实验结果表明:在自制列车轮对踏面缺陷的数据集上,所提改进算法的参数量减少了18.2%,计算量下降了28.6%,平均精度均值提升了2.3%。改进算法在提升踏面缺陷检测精度的前提下实现算法的轻量化改进,在轮对踏面缺陷检测中具有广泛的应用前景。 展开更多

The shoe sole geometrical design parameters are believed to be important factors affecting the coefficient of friction (COF) between the shoe/floor interface. This study is concerned with the relationship between the measured COF and the tread groove orientation and width on the footwear pad. Friction measurements using the Brungraber Mark Ⅱ slipmeter were conducted. Six tread groove width/orientations designs on the footwear pads under 27 footwear material/floor/contamination conditions were tested. The results show that tread orientation and width affect the measured COF significantly. Wider grooved footwear pads result in higher COF values and footwear pads with tread grooves perpendicular to the friction measurement direction have higher COF values. A regression model using measured COF as the dependent variable and tread groove width, groove orientation, footwear material, floor, and contamination conditions as independent variables was established. The models are significant at p〈0.0001 with R^2 of 0.97, which may be used in predicting the COF at the shoe-floor interface . 展开更多

建立一种兼顾计算精度与效率的二维踏面制动摩擦热机耦合有限元数学模型,综合考虑热机强耦合的高精度与弱耦合的高效率特性。研究线路坡道、车辆载荷与轴重、紧急制动初速度、紧急制动减速度和环境温度等因素对车轮踏面最高温度和最大... 建立一种兼顾计算精度与效率的二维踏面制动摩擦热机耦合有限元数学模型,综合考虑热机强耦合的高精度与弱耦合的高效率特性。研究线路坡道、车辆载荷与轴重、紧急制动初速度、紧急制动减速度和环境温度等因素对车轮踏面最高温度和最大热应力的影响。结果表明,线路坡度每增加3‰,车轮踏面最高温度线性增加约4.15℃,最大热应力线性增加约8.18 MPa;载荷每轴增加1 t,最高温度线性增加约7.19℃,最大热应力线性增加约14.29 MPa;制动初速度每增加10 km·h^(−1),最高温度近似线性增加约31.21℃,最大热应力近似线性增加约59.77 MPa,并且达到最高温度/应力的时间随速度增加而呈非线性延长;减速度每增加0.2 m·s^(−2),最高温度近似线性增加约16.12℃,最大热应力近似线性增加约31.67 MPa,同时达到最高温度的时间呈非线性缩短;环境温度降低时,踏面最高温度值呈减小趋势,但对最大热应力的影响较小。研究结果为长大坡道列车运行的热安全性评价及优化设计提供了量化数据支撑和技术参考。 展开更多

Tread wear and rolling contact fatigue (RCF) damage propagated on railway wheels are the two extremely important focal points as they can tremendously deteriorate wheel/rail interactions and hunting stability and destroy wheel surface materials, and subsequently, cut down the lifetime of the wheels. The on-board anti-slip controllers are of essence aiming to hold back the striking slipping of the powered wheelsets under low-adhesion wheel/rail conditions. This paper intends to investigate the impact of anti-slip control on wheel tread wear and fatigue damage under diverse wheel/rail friction conditions. To this end, a prediction model for wheel wear and fatigue damage evolution on account of a comprehensive vehicle–track interaction model is extended, where the wheel/rail non-Hertzian contact algorithm is used. Furthermore, the effect of frictional wear on the fatigue damage at wheel surface is considered. The simulation results indicate that the wheel/rail contact is full-slip under the low-adhesion conditions with braking effort. The wear amount under the low-adhesion conditions is observably higher than that under the dry condition. It is further suggested that the wheel tread is prone to suffering more serious wear and fatigue damage issues with a higher anti-slip control threshold compared to that with a lower one. 展开更多

目前在复杂行车环境下,获取大量真实车轮故障样本数据面临诸多困难,导致训练数据呈小样本特征。为提高在小样本数据下车轮踏面损伤识别的精度与效率,本文提出一种融合通道注意力机制、空洞卷积的改进深度卷积生成对抗网络(DCGAN)与VGG1... 目前在复杂行车环境下,获取大量真实车轮故障样本数据面临诸多困难,导致训练数据呈小样本特征。为提高在小样本数据下车轮踏面损伤识别的精度与效率,本文提出一种融合通道注意力机制、空洞卷积的改进深度卷积生成对抗网络(DCGAN)与VGG16模型相结合的车轮踏面损伤识别方法。首先,搭建车辆-轨道刚柔耦合动力学模型并采集车轮在不同损伤下轴箱振动加速度信号;其次,通过Morlet小波变换提取振动信号的二维时频特征;随后,利用改进的DCGAN进行训练集数据扩充;最后,借助VGG16分类模型对车轮踏面损伤程度进行分类。结果表明,采用本文所提出的改进DCGAN对训练集进行扩充后,识别准确率达98.36%,所提方法对车轮踏面损伤具有良好的识别效果。 展开更多

[目的]目前铁路路网运能逐渐饱和,但低峰客运空载率严重,为提高既有线路利用率、缩短列车到发站时间、提高列车运行效率,需要对可实现灵活编组的虚拟编组列车进行研究。[方法]基于多体动力学理论,构建虚拟4节编组列车动力学模型。通过对列车通信方式进行调研,制定虚拟编组列车安全距离和联挂工况。采用PID(比例、积分、微分)控制策略进行动力学仿真,并验证虚拟编组列车联挂作业的跟随效果。通过与采用传统车钩连接模式的两动两拖列车动力学仿真结果进行对比,对PID控制策略下虚拟编组列车运行平稳性、安全性进行评价。通过对联挂作业下的车轮踏面磨耗进行仿真计算,研究列车磨耗演变规律。[结果及结论]PID控制策略能有效满足虚拟4节编组列车联挂作业,并能保证列车运行的平稳性和安全性,但存在跟随列车减速运行情况。虚拟编组列车联挂作业会导致车轮踏面磨耗增加,且磨耗量随联挂距离增加而急速增多。 展开更多
