The non uniform spinning shaft with variable parameters was modeled as a Bernoulli Euler beam column with sectional constant cross section properties by the finite element method. The rotating blade is simplified as a rotating FGM cylindrical panel with a presetting angle and a twist angle. The geometric nonlinearity effects are taken into account in the strain-displacement relationships, which are derived by Green strain tensor. Based on the first-order piston theory and the first-order shear deformation theory, the equations of motion for the rotating twisted FGM cylindrical panel are acquired by means of Hamilton principle and Galerkin method.Backward Differentiation Formula(BDF) and Runge-Kutta Algorithm are used to solve the nonlinear equations of motion for the system. The effects of four pulse load conditions on the system subjected to the internal pulse load or the external pulse load are fully discussed. A detailed parametric analysis is performed by considering the effects of the rotating speed, volume fraction index and temperature.展开更多

The generalized ray method (GRM) which has been successfully applied to study the transient responses of beams, planar trusses, space frames and infinite layered media is extended to investigate the transient wave propagation and early short time transient response in finite Mindlin plate. Combining the wave solution, the shock source and the boundary conditions, the ray groups transmitted in the finite rectangular plate can be determined. Numerical simulations and experiments are performed and compared with each other. The results show that the transient wave propagation and early short time transient responses in the finite plate can be studied using the GRM. The early short time transient acceler- ations are very large for the finite plate subjected to the unit impulse, while the early short time transient displacements are very small. The early short time transient accelerations under the unit impulse are much larger than those under the unit step impulse. The thickness and material characteristics have remarkable effects on the early short time transient responses.展开更多

The equivalent material properties for the FGM face sheet are assumed to obey the rule of simple power law function in the thickness direction. Based on Reddy's theory of higher shear deformation, a new displacement field is developed by introducing the secant function into transverse displacement. Four coupled nonlinear differential equations are obtained by applying Hamilton's principle and Galerkin method. It is assumed that the FGM sandwich doubly curved shell is subjected to step loading, air-blast loading, triangular loading, and sinusoidal loading, respectively. On the basis of double-precision variable- coefficient ordinary differential equation solver, a new program code in FORTRAN software is developed to solve the nonlinear transient dynamics of the system. The influences of core thickness, volume fraction, core-to-face sheet thickness ratio, width-to-thickness ratio and blast type on the transient response of the shell are discussed in detail through numerical simulation.展开更多

The derivation of the solution for one type of boundary condition is then illustrated in detail. The exact solutions for the other three types of boundary conditions are given directly. The propagation of the compressional wave is investigated through numerical examples. It is verified that only one type of compressional wave exists in the incompressible saturated porous media.

文摘A transient response model for describing the starting and stopping characteristics of the standing wave piezoelectric linear ultrasonic motor was presented. Based on the contact dynamic model, the kinetic equation of the motor was derived. The starting and stopping characteristics of the standing wave piezoelectric linear ultrasonic motor according to different loads, contact stiffness and inertia mass were described and analyzed, respectively. To validate the transient response model, a standing wave piezoelectric linear ultrasonic motor based on in-plane modes was used to carry out the simulation and experimental study. The corresponding results showed that the simulation of the motor performances based on the proposed model agreed well with the experimental results. This model will helpful to improve the stepping characteristics and the control flexibility of the standing wave piezoelectric linear ultrasonic motor.

文摘The transient wave propagation in the finite rectangular Mindlin plate is investi- gated by the analytical and experimental methods. The thickness and material characteristics have remarkable effects on the early short time transient responses.

文摘In this paper, the nonlinear transient dynamic response of functionally graded material (FGM) sandwich doubly curved shell with homogenous isotropic material core and functionally graded face sheet is analyzed using a new displacement field on the basis of Reddy's third-order shear theory for the first time. The influences of core thickness, volume fraction, core-to-face sheet thickness ratio, width-to-thickness ratio and blast type on the transient response of the shell are discussed in detail through numerical simulation.
