Methylene blue (MB), a typ- ical anionic dye, can attach on GO via π-π stacking and electrostatic interaction, and the molecule removal process on GO has been observed. However, it remains unclear about the ultrafast carrier dynamics and the internal energy transfer pathways of the system which is composed of GO and MB. We have employed ultrafast optical pump-probe spectroscopy to investigate the excited dynamics of the GO-MB system dispersed in water by exciting the samples at 400 nm pump pulse. The pristine MB and GO dynamics are also analyzed in tandem for a direct comparison. Utilizing the global analysis to fit the measured signal via a sequential model, five lifetimes are acquired:(0.61±0.01) ps, (3.52±0.04) ps, (14.1±0.3) ps, (84±2) ps, and (3.66±0.08) ns. The ultrafast dynamics corresponding to these lifetimes was analyzed and the new relaxation processes were found in the GO-MB system, compared with the pristine MB. The results reveal that the functionalization of GO can alter the known decay pathways of MB via the energy transfer from GO to MB in system, the increased intermediate state, and the promoted energy transfer from triplet state MB to ground state oxygen molecules dissolved in aqueous sample.展开更多

Twenty-five first-ever TIA patients without visible lesions in conventional MRI and 25 healthy volunteers were enrolled. VWM task-related fMRI was conducted 1 week and 3 months post-TIA. The brain activity evoked by the task and changes over time were assessed. We found that, compared with controls, patients exhibited an increased activation in the bilateral inferior frontal gyrus(IFG), right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(DLPFC), insula, inferior parietal lobe(IPL), and cerebellum during the task performed 1 week post-TIA. But only the right IFG still exhibited an increased activation at 3 months post-TIA. A direct comparison of fMRI data between 1 week and 3 months post-TIA showed greater activation in the bilateral middle temporal gyrus, right DLPFC, IPL, cerebellum, and left IFG in patients at 1 week post-TIA. We conclude that brain activity patterns induced by a VWM task remain dynamic for a period of time after a TIA, despite the cessation of clinical symptoms. Normalization of the VWM activation pattern may be progressively achieved after transient episodes of ischemia in TIA patients.展开更多

In order to provide an insight into the behavior of the temperature of a plate fin heat sink subjected non-uniform heat density on the surfaces, it is necessary to obtain accurate analytical solutions yielding explicit formulas relating the dissipated power to the temperature rise at any point of avionics devices. This paper presents a method for thermal simulation of a plate fin heat sink using an analytical solution of the three-dimensional heat equation resulting from an appropriate plate fin heat sink transient thermal model. The entire solution methodology is illustrated in detail on the particular examples of the plate fin heat sink subjected non-uniform heat density on the surfaces. The transient temperature profiles are obtained for different positions at the surface of the plate fin heat sink. The analytical results are compared with measurements made on the surface of the cold plate and it is found that they are in good agreement with an error of less than 3 K.展开更多

The equivalent material properties for the FGM face sheet are assumed to obey the rule of simple power law function in the thickness direction. Based on Reddy's theory of higher shear deformation, a new displacement field is developed by introducing the secant function into transverse displacement. Four coupled nonlinear differential equations are obtained by applying Hamilton's principle and Galerkin method. It is assumed that the FGM sandwich doubly curved shell is subjected to step loading, air-blast loading, triangular loading, and sinusoidal loading, respectively. On the basis of double-precision variable- coefficient ordinary differential equation solver, a new program code in FORTRAN software is developed to solve the nonlinear transient dynamics of the system. The influences of core thickness, volume fraction, core-to-face sheet thickness ratio, width-to-thickness ratio and blast type on the transient response of the shell are discussed in detail through numerical simulation.展开更多

First, a Laplace transform approach is used to handle the time variable. Then, a fundamental solution in Laplace space for FGMs is constructed. Next, a hybrid graded element is formulated based on the obtained fundamental solution and a frame field. As a result, the graded properties of FGMs are naturally reflected by using the fundamental solution to interpolate the intra-element field. Further, Stefest's algorithm is employed to convert the results in Laplace space back into the time-space domain. Finally, the performance of the proposed method is assessed by several benchmark examples. The results demonstrate well the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.展开更多

文摘A Coupling Magneto-Electro-Elastic(MEE)Node-based Smoothed Radial Point Interpolation Method(CM-NS-RPIM)was proposed to solve the free vibration and transient responses of Functionally Graded Magneto-Electro-Elastic(FGMEE)structures.By introducing the modified Newmark method, the displacement, electrical potential and magnetic potential of the structures under transient mechanical loading were obtained.Based on G space theory and the weakened weak(W2)formulation,the equations of the multi-physics coupling problems were derived.Using triangular background elements, the free vibration and transient responses of three numerical examples were studied. Results proved that CM-NS-RPIM performed better than the standard FEM by reducing the overly-stiff of structures.Moreover,CM-NS-RPIM could reduce the number of nodes while guaranteeing the accuracy.Besides, triangular elements could be generated automatically even for complex geometries. Therefore, the effectiveness and validity of CM-NS-RPIM were demonstrated, which were valuable for the design of intelligence devices, such as energy harvesters and sensors.

文摘The accurate analyses for a plate fin heat sink with the ability to control the temperature of the avionics devices within a pre-set controllable temperature range are required both in the process of circuit design and for the real-time temperature monitoring purposes. The analytical results are compared with measurements made on the surface of the cold plate and it is found that they are in good agreement with an error of less than 3 K.

文摘Strawberry is increasingly used as a model plant for research on fruit growth and development. The transient gene manipulation(TGM)technique is widely used to determine the function of plant genes, including those in strawberry fruits. However, its reliable application for the precise identification of gene function has been difficult owing to the lack of conditional optimization. In this study,we found that successful transient gene manipulation requires optimization, with the vector type, temperature, and fruit developmental stage being three major factors determining success.Notably,we found that transient gene manipulation was feasible only from the large green fruit stage onwards, making it especially suitable for identifying genes involved in strawberry fruit ripening.Furthermore,we established a method called percentage difference of phenotype(PDP),in which the functional effect of a gene could be precisely and efficiently identified in strawberry fruits. This method can be used to estimate the functional effect of a gene as a value from 0 to 100%,such that different genes can be quantitatively compared for their relative abilities to regulate fruit ripening. This study provides a useful tool for accelerating research on the molecular basis of strawberry fruit ripening.

文摘This paper is concerned with the transient deformation of functionally graded (FG) shallow spherical shells subjected to time-dependent thermomechanical load. Based on Timoshenko- Mindlin hypothesis and yon Karman nonlinear theory, a set of nonlinear governing equations of motion for FG shallow spherical shells in regard to transverse shear deformation and all the inertia terms are established using Hamilton's principle. The collocation point method and Newmark- beta scheme in conjunction with the finite difference method are adopted to solve the governing equations of motion and the unsteady heat conduction equation numerically. In the numerical examples, the transient deflection and stresses of FG shallow spherical shells with various material properties under different loading conditions are presented.

文摘This article deals with the investigation of the effects of porosity distributions on nonlinear free vibration and transient analysis of porous functionally graded skew(PFGS)plates. The effective material properties of the PFGS plates are obtained from the modified power-law equations in which gradation varies through the thickness of the PFGS plate.A nonlinear finite element(FE)formulation for the overall PFGS plate is derived by adopting first-order shear deformation theory(FSDT)in conjunction with von Karman’s nonlinear strain displacement relations. The governing equations of the PFGS plate are derived using the principle of virtual work. The direct iterative method and Newmark’s integration technique are espoused to solve nonlinear mathematical relations. The influences of the porosity distributions and porosity parameter indices on the nonlinear frequency responses of the PFGS plate for different skew angles are studied in various parameters. The effects of volume fraction grading index and skew angle on the plate’s nonlinear dynamic responses for various porosity distributions are illustrated in detail.

文摘In this paper, the nonlinear transient dynamic response of functionally graded material (FGM) sandwich doubly curved shell with homogenous isotropic material core and functionally graded face sheet is analyzed using a new displacement field on the basis of Reddy's third-order shear theory for the first time. The influences of core thickness, volume fraction, core-to-face sheet thickness ratio, width-to-thickness ratio and blast type on the transient response of the shell are discussed in detail through numerical simulation.
文摘This paper presents a hybrid graded element model for the transient heat conduction problem in functionally graded materials (FGMs). The results demonstrate well the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.
文摘In dealing with the square lattice model,we replace the traditionally needed Born-Von Karmann periodic boundary condition with additional Hamiltonian terms to make up a ring lattice. In doing so,the lattice Green's function of an infinite square lattice in the second nearest-neighbour interaction approximation can be derived by means of the matrix Green's function method. It is shown that the density of states may change when the second nearest-neighbour interaction is turned on.
