Objective： To investigate patients＇ attitudes towards cancer pain management and analyze the factors influencing these attitudes.Methods： The self-developed Demographic and Disease-Related Information Questionnaire...Objective： To investigate patients＇ attitudes towards cancer pain management and analyze the factors influencing these attitudes.Methods： The self-developed Demographic and Disease-Related Information Questionnaires, Pain Management Barriers Questionnaire-Taiwan form（BQT）, and Pain Knowledge Questionnaire were administered to 363 pairs of hospitalized cancer patients and their caregivers from the oncology departments of 7 hospitals in Beijing, China.Results： The average patient score for attitudes towards pain management was 2.96±0.49. The dimension scores indicated good attitudes in three areas（scores 〈2.5）, ＂Desire to be good＂（2.22±1.04）, ＂Fatalism＂（2.08±0.81） and＂Religious fatalism＂（1.86±1.00）, and poor attitudes in six areas（scores ≥2.5）, ＂Tolerance＂（3.83±0.96）, ＂Use of analgesics as needed（p.r.n.）＂（3.73±1.01）, ＂Addiction＂（3.44±1.05）, ＂Disease progression＂（3.28±1.26）, ＂Distraction of physicians＂（3.16±1.07） and ＂Side effects＂（2.99±0.68）. Two factors were entered into the regression equation：the caregivers＇ attitudes towards cancer pain management and the patients＇ pain knowledge. These two factors explained 23.2% of the total variance in the patients＇ average scores for their attitudes towards cancer pain management.Conclusions： The patients＇ attitudes towards cancer pain management were poor and could be influenced by the caregivers＇ attitudes and the patients＇ pain knowledge, and thus need to be improved.展开更多

It was found that unlike the pristine sheet, the Al-doped sheet can effectively interact with the N2O molecule so that its electronic properties and conductivity are dramatically changed. We believe that replacing a B atom of the BN sheet with an Al atom may be a good strategy for improving the sensitivity of these nanosheets toward N2O, which cannot be trapped and detected by the pristine sheet.展开更多

An off-and-towardseq...Traditional control strategies have difficulty handling nonlinear behavior of structures, time variable features and parameter uncertainties of structural control systems under seismic excitation. An off-and-towardsequilibrium （OTE） strategy combined with fuzzy control is presented in this paper to overcome these difficulties. According to the OTE strategy, the control force is designed from the viewpoint of a mechanical relationship between the motions of the structure, the exciting force and the control force. The advantage of the OTE strategy is that it can be used for a variety of control systems. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed strategy, the seismic performance of a three-story shear building with an Active Tendon System （ATS） using a Fuzzy Logic Controller （FLC） is studied. The main advantage of the fuzzy controller is its inherent robustness and ability to handle any nonlinear behavior of structures. However, there are no design guidelines to set up the corresponding control rule table for a FLC. Based on the proposed strategy for the FLC, a control rule table associated with the building under study is developed, which then allows formation of a detailed algorithm. The results obtained in this study show that the proposed strategy performs slightly better than the linear quadratic regulator （LQR） strategy, while possessing several advantages over the LQR controller. Consequently, the feasibility and validity of the proposed strategy are verified.展开更多

The physical and mental b...Background: “Children with severe motor and intellectual disabilities” refers to children with markedly limited activity due to severe overlapping of physical and intellectual disabilities. The physical and mental burden placed on families raising severely disabled children, particularly the primary caregivers, is great in home settings. For families to effectively utilize services and over-come child rearing problems, the families themselves need the “strength” to cooperate with others for the purpose of raising a severely disabled child. The ultimate goal of family support is to enable such families to achieve satisfaction and self-growth in child rearing. Methods: We used a questionnaire to survey 75 primary caregivers to empirically elucidate the empowerment and positive feelings towards child rearing of families raising children with severe motor and intellectual disabilities and the related factors. The t-test and Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient were used to examine the association with bivariates. A multiple regression analysis was conducted for empowerment and positive feelings. Results: Results revealed that life events, livelihood, awareness of social support and the child’s sleep problems were factors related to empowerment. Of these, awareness of social support from outside of the family was found to contribute the most to empowerment. Furthermore, improvement and maintenance of positive feelings towards child rearing reaffirmed the existence of empowerment in addition to reducing negative feelings towards child rearing and ensuring social support. Conclusions: Raising children with severe motor and intellectual disabilities requires specialist knowledge and skills. Support from professionals to empower the entire family is therefore important in order to strengthen positive feelings towards child rearing.展开更多

Methods: Totally 160 patients with CSR were randomized into three groups: a point-towards-point group(n=60) treated with EA with point-towards-point method; a Jiaji group(n=60) treated with EA at cervical Jiaji(EX-B 2) points; a medicine group(n=40) treated with oral administration of Jing Fu Kang alone. The clinical efficacies were compared afterwards. Results: After treatment, the recovery rate and total effective rate of the point-towards-point group were significantly better than that of the Jiaji group and medicine group(both P<0.01). After 1-week treatment, the symptom and function score of the point-towards-point group was significantly better than that of the Jiaji group and medicine group(both P<0.01); the point-towards-point group and Jiaji group both achieved significant improvements in the symptom and function score(P<0.01, P<0.05). After 2-week treatment, the three groups all achieved marked improvements in the symptom and function score(P<0.01). At the end of treatment, in comparing the symptom and function score, the point-towards-point group was significantly different from the medicine group(P<0.01) and Jiaji group(P<0.05); the difference between the Jiaji group and medicine group was also statistically significant(P<0.05). Methods: Eighty cases with intractable facial palsy were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 40 in each group. Cases in the treatment group were treated with mild lifting and superficial pulling point-towards-point needling Xiaguan(ST 7) coupled with point injection of Mecobalamin. Cases in the control group were treated with standard EA coupled with intramuscular injection of Mecobalamin. After three courses of treatment, the between-group comparisons of Portmann scores and clinical effects were conducted. Results: After three courses of treatment, the Portmann scores in both groups were higher than the scores before treatment(P<0.01); the Portmann score in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05) and the total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Combining mild lifting and superficial pulling point-towardspoint needling and point injection of Mecobalamin could obtain better effect for intractable facial palsy than standard EA coupled with intramuscular injection of Mecobalamin.展开更多

文摘Objective:To observe the effect of point-toward-point needling on asthenopia.Methods:A total of 60 asthenopia cases were randomized into an observation group and a control group,30 cases in each group.Pointtoward-point needling was used in the observation group;whereas point injection was used in the control group.The signs and symptoms including visual tasks and eye fatigue were observed before and after treatments.This was followed by an inter-group comparison of eye discomfort symptom score and therapeutic effects.Results:After treatment,the symptoms and signs in both groups were significantly improved,showing a statistical significance(P<0.01)and inter-group difference(P<0.01).The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.7%,versus 69.0%in the control group,showing a statistical difference(P<0.01).Conclusion:Both treatment protocols can help alleviate the clinical symptoms of asthenopia;point-toward-point needling can obtain better effect than point injection.

文摘Objective: To observe and compare the clinical effects of combining mild lifting and superficial pulling point-towards-point needling and point injection and integrated standard electroacupuncture(EA) with intramuscular injection of Mecobalamin for intractable facial palsy. Methods: Eighty cases with intractable facial palsy were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 40 in each group. Cases in the treatment group were treated with mild lifting and superficial pulling point-towards-point needling Xiaguan(ST 7) coupled with point injection of Mecobalamin. Cases in the control group were treated with standard EA coupled with intramuscular injection of Mecobalamin. After three courses of treatment, the between-group comparisons of Portmann scores and clinical effects were conducted. Results: After three courses of treatment, the Portmann scores in both groups were higher than the scores before treatment(P<0.01); the Portmann score in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05) and the total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Combining mild lifting and superficial pulling point-towardspoint needling and point injection of Mecobalamin could obtain better effect for intractable facial palsy than standard EA coupled with intramuscular injection of Mecobalamin.

文摘In 2007, superconducting nanowire single photon detectors （SSPD or SNSPD） [ 1 ] made an outstanding impact in the field of quantum information technology by demonstrating quan- tum key distribution （QKD） over a 200-kin optical fiber with a 42-dB optical loss using a practical SNSPD system [2]. This successful demonstration was realized thanks to its extremely low dark count rate （DCR） of a few Hz and short timing jitter of 60 ps, while the system detection efficiency （SDE） showed a poor value of 0.7% at a wavelength of 1550 nm.
