The physicochemical analyses indicate that the ore consists ma...In search of new mineral raw materials with industrial potential, we identified a deposit located in the southwest of Oujda (in the Northeastern Morocco). The physicochemical analyses indicate that the ore consists mainly of diaspore, topaz and quartz, and also secondary minerals. The presence of topaz in the ore is explained by hydrothermal action on the structure of diaspore. The investigation of structural transformations reveals complex reaction mechanisms that result in a mixture of corundum-mullite at 1200℃, which is of great industrial interest. Thus, the peculiarity of this ore is the presence of fluorine and secondary minerals.展开更多
Subducting oceanic sediments and crusts,originating from the Earth's surface and descending into its deep interior,are important carriers of volatiles.The volatiles have significant effects on materials cycling an...Subducting oceanic sediments and crusts,originating from the Earth's surface and descending into its deep interior,are important carriers of volatiles.The volatiles have significant effects on materials cycling and the dynamic evolution of the subduction zones.A simplified Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)-H_(2)O(ASH)ternary system models the relationship of minerals in the hydrated and alumina-silica rich sedimentary layer.Topaz Al_(2)SiO_(4)(F,OH)_(2)is an important mineral in the ASH system and comprises two volatiles:H_(2)O and fluorine(F).In this study,the thermoelasticity of a natural F-rich topaz was investigated using synchrotron-based single-crystal X-ray diffraction combined with diamond anvil cells up to 29.1 GPa and 750 K.The pressure-volume-temperature data were fitted to a third-order Birch-Murnaghan Equation of state with V_(0)=343.15(7)Å3,K_(0)=166(1)GPa,K_(0)'=3.0(1),(∂K_(0)/∂T)P=-0.015(9)GPa/K andα_(0)=3.9(5)×10^(-5)K^(-1).The isothermal bulk modulus increases with the F content in topaz,and the various F contents present significant effects on its anisotropic compressibility.Our results further reveal that the isothermal bulk modulus K_(0)of the minerals in ASH system increases with density.F and H contents in hydrous minerals might greatly affect their properties(e.g.,compressibility and stability),providing more comprehensive constraints on the subduction zones.展开更多
There is a deficiency of nurseries in the world producing fruit trees using the organic material management. However, such material has been produced since 2009 at the Research Institute of Horticulture in Skierniewic...There is a deficiency of nurseries in the world producing fruit trees using the organic material management. However, such material has been produced since 2009 at the Research Institute of Horticulture in Skierniewice. To stimulate plant growth, various biopreparations were applied in an organic nursery. Apple trees ('Topaz'/M26) obtained from the organic nursery were used to establish an orchard in 2011. One of the combinations in the orchard consisted of trees produced in a conventional nursery. Trees whose maidens had not been fertilized at all in the organic nursery served as the control. The study was conducted for four years (2011-2014). The least vigorously growing trees were the control trees and those that had been treated in the nursery with the preparation Tytanit, and the most vigorously--those that had been treated there with manure and the biopreparations Micosat, Humus Active + Aktywit PM, and BF Quality and BF Amin. Trees whose maidens had been produced by the conventional method did not differ, in terms of growth vigour, from those treated with the biopreparations Humus UP or Vinassa. The highest cumulative fruit yields from the four-year-old trees were obtained in the combinations where the maidens had been treated in the nursery with the biopreparations BF Amin and BF Quality. The type of fertilization applied to maiden trees in the nursery had no significant effect on mean fruit weight, but it influenced the distribution of fruit in size classes.展开更多
Rare element mineralized granites of me Yanshan period in Southern China are characterized by high contents of SiO2,Na2o,K2O,and F and are enriched in Nb,Ta,REE,W,Sn,Be and Li .Opinions differed over whether they are ...Rare element mineralized granites of me Yanshan period in Southern China are characterized by high contents of SiO2,Na2o,K2O,and F and are enriched in Nb,Ta,REE,W,Sn,Be and Li .Opinions differed over whether they are of metasomatk or magmatic origin .In this paper ,we present results of a study on melt and fluid inclusions in topaz-albite feldspar granite from Limo Nb-Ta-W-Sn granite and 414 Ta-Li albhe granite .Our data, which come from 15 mineralized granites, provide strong support magmatic origin .Mett inclusions are recognized in both topaz and quartz, and are associated with primary gas-rich incluaons.Crystallites of a Nb (Ta) -bearing mineral and cassiterite are also commonly present as inclusions in the topaz .Multiphase (mett+fluid) inclusions are observed in some quartz from granites and granite-related pegmatite .Mett inclusions start to mett at a temperature of approximately 540 ℃ in topaz and 650 ℃ in quartz .Final homogenization temperature is 700-900 ℃ in quartz ,700-800℃ in topaz and 440-550 ℃ for primary gas-rich inclusions coexisting with mett inclusions in topaz .The fluid inclusion data show that there was a continuous evobtion of the fluid from Nb-Ta granites and pegmatites to W-Sh hydrothermal vein. The coexistence of mett .vapour-rich fluid inclusions, and rare element crystaffites in topaz and quartz indicates that these minerals crystallized from a vapour-saturated mett enriched in Na.K,F and rare elements (Li,Be,Nb,Ta) .The evidence from fluid inclusion study shows that the possible genesis of the rare dement mineralization inLi-F granites of Yanshan period in Southern China results from magmatic differentiation .展开更多

The calculated cell parameters agree well with the observed structures. The quasi-linear correlation of the b lattice parameter to different F/OH ratios calculated by changing fluorine contents in OH-topaz supports that the F content can be measured by an optical method. Hydrogen bond calculations reveal that the hydrogen bond interaction to H1 is stronger than that to H2, and the more fluorine in the structure, the stronger the hydrogen bond interaction of hydroxyl hydrogen. Defect calculations provide the formation energies of all common defects and can be used to judge the ease of formation of them. The calculated vibrational frequencies are fairly consistent with available experimental results, and the 1080-cm^-1frequency often occurring in natural OH-topaz samples can be attributed to Si–F stretching because of the F substitution to OH and the Al–Si exchange.展开更多
