Effective tool design of three-rank form as precision removal-process of ITO thin-films

A new effective tool design of three-rank form of electroremoval was present using a precision recycle system offering faster performance in removing the indium-tin-oxide(ITO) thin-films on color filter surface of displays. Higher electric power is not required since the three-rank form tool is adopted as a feeding mode to reduce the response area. The low yield of ITO persists throughout the entire semiconductor production process. By establishing a recycle process of ultra-precise removal of the thin-film nanostructure, defective products in the optoelectronic semiconductors industry can be effectively recycled, decreasing both production costs and pollution. A 5th generation TFT-LCD was used. The design features of the removal processes for the thin-films and the tool design of three-rank form were of major interest. For the precision removal processes, a pulsed current can improve the effect of dreg discharge and contributes to the achievement of a fast workpiece (displays' color filter) feed rate, but raises the current rating. High flow velocity of the electrolyte with a high rotational speed of the tool electrodes elevates the ITO removal effect. A displays' color filter with a fast feed rate is combined with enough electric power to provide highly effective removal. A small thickness of the rank and a small arc angle of the negative-electrode correspond to a higher removal rate for ITO-film. An effective three-rank form negative-electrode provides larger discharge mobility and better removal effect. It only needs a short period of time to remove the ITO easily and cleanly. 展开更多

Micro diamond tools are indispensable for the efficient machining of microstructured surfaces.The precision in tool manufacturing and cutting performance directly determines the processing quality of components.The manufacturing of high-quality micro diamond tools relies on scientific design methods and appropriate processing techniques.However,there is currently a lack of systematic review on the design and manufacturing methods of micro diamond tools in academia.This study systematically summarizes and analyzes modern manufacturing methods for micro diamond tools,as well as the impact of tool waviness,sharpness,and durability on machining quality.Subsequently,a design method is proposed based on the theory of cutting edge strength distribution to enhance tool waviness,sharpness,and durability.Finally,this paper presents current technical challenges faced by micro diamond tools along with potential future solutions to guide scientists in this field.The aim of this review is to contribute to the further development of the current design and manufacturing processes for micro diamond cutting tools. 展开更多

With the increasing demand for oil exploration and subsurface resource development,density imaging plays an increasingly important role in identifying thin layers.However,conventional density imaging tools are limited by poor vertical resolution and therefore suffer from errors in accurately estimating the thickness and relative dip angle of thin layers.This affects the accurate evaluation of thin layer oil and gas reserves.To address this issue,this study evaluates the feasibility of employing novel methods based on advanced tool design.First,an electronically controllable X-ray source is selected to replace the traditional Cs-137 source,aiming to improve the tool's vertical resolution while reducing the radioactive risks commonly associated with chemical sources.Simulation results show that the X-ray tool provides sufficient depth of investigation with better vertical resolution while maintaining the same level of measurement sensitivity.Once the tool design is established,Fisher's optimal segmentation method is improved to enhance the estimation of thin layer thickness and relative dip angle.This is completed by transforming identifying thin layer interface into a mathematical clustering problem.The thin layer interface is fitted using the nonlinear least squares method,which enables the calculation of its parameters.The results demonstrate a 38.5%reduction in RMSE(root mean square error)for thin layer thickness and a 33.7%reduction in RMSE for relative dip angle,demonstrating the superior performance of enhanced X-ray tool in thin layer identification.This study provides a new perspective on the design of density imaging tools and assessment of thin layer,which can help in future thin layer hydrocarbon reserves evaluation and development decisions. 展开更多

Optimizing the geometric configuration of the tool cutting surface,reducing the resistance in the cutting process and energy consumption,are always a concern.Through the method of bionic design,the directrix function of the longitudinal section of the beaver tooth rake face is extracted,and its variable curvature characteristics are analyzed.Based on this,a turning tool with variable curvature directrix configuration rake face is designed.The cutting force experiment and machining surface quality analysis experiment were carried out with the designed tool and the linear directrix configuration rake face tool respectively.The measured data of the variable curvature directrix configuration rake face tool is better than the linear directrix configuration rake face tool and its drag reduction performance of the tool is verified by experiments.Through the analysis of the working rake angle and shear angle of the tool with variable curvature directrix configuration rake face,the relationship between the parameters of the variable curvature directrix function and the working rake angle,and shear angle has been obtained.By the method of finite element simulation analysis,the stress field in the cutting zone of two different configuration tools has been analyzed.It has been found that the tool with variable curvature directrix rake face has a‘bending moment'effect on the tool-chip interface due to its curved surface configuration,and a‘prying'effect at the tool tip.These two effects promote the separation of chips from the workpiece and make the cutting process more forcesaving.The research of this paper will have reference significance for the design and application of the curved surface configuration rake face tool. 展开更多

Digitization precision analysis is an important tool to ensure the design precision of machine tool currently. The correlative research about precision modeling and analysis mainly focuses on the geometry precision and motion precision of machine tool, and the forming motion precision of workpiece surface. For the machine tool with complex forming motion, there is not accurate corresponding relationship between the existing criterion on precision design and the machining precision of workpiece. Therefore, a design scheme on machine tool precision based on error prediction is proposed, which is divided into two-stage digitization precision analysis crucially. The first stage aims at the technology system to complete the precision distribution and inspection from the workpiece to various component parts of technology system and achieve the total output precision of machine tool under the specified machining precision; the second stage aims at the machine tool system to complete the precision distribution and inspection from the output precision of machine tool to the machine tool components. This article serves YK3610 gear hobber as the example to describe the error model of two systems and basic application method, and the practical cutting precision of this machine tool achieves to 5-4-4 grade. The proposed method can provide reliable guidance to the precision design of machine tool with complex forming motion. 展开更多

The applications of ultrasonic vibrations for material removal processes exist predominantly in the area of vertical processing of hard and brittle materials. This is because the power generated by vertical vibrating oscillators generates the greatest direct penetration, in order to conduct material removal on workpieces by grains. However, for milling processes, vertical vibrating power has to be transformed into lateral (horizontal) vibration to produce the required horizontal cutting force. The objective of this study is to make use of ultrasonic lateral transformation theory to optimize processing efficiency, through the use of the finite element method for design and analysis of the milling tool. In addition, changes can be made to the existing vibrating system to generate best performance under consistent conditions, namely, using the same piezoelectric ceramics. 展开更多

Adaptable design aims to extend the utilities of design and product. The specific methods are developed for practical applications of adaptable design in the design of mechanical structures, including adaptable platform, interface and module designs. Adaptable redesign problems are formulated as adaptable platform design under adaptability bound constraints. Analysis tools are then suggested for the implementation of the redesign of machine tool structures, including variation techniques based sensitivity analysis, similarity-based commonality analysis, performance improvement, and adaptability measures. The specific measure of adaptability for machine tool structures is measured through the quantification of the structural similarity and performance improvement gained from adaptable design. The method provides designers with an approach that brings adaptability into the design process, with considering the cost and benefits of such adaptability. The redesign of CNC spiral bevel gear cutting machine structures has been included to illustrate these concepts and methods. 展开更多

Multi objective optimization method was employed in designing the compositional distribution of this ceramic tool material. The results of both continuous and intermittent cutting tests are indicative of the much better cutting behavior of the functionally gradient ceramic tool FG 2 than that of the common ceramic tool SG 4. 展开更多

Experimental results indicated that its positioning accuracy was less than 5.6 μm and its repetitive positioning accuracy was less than 1.8 μm; the vibration amplitude of ultrasonic grinding system was uniform and stable, and the EDM system worked well and stably.A smooth surface of K9 optical glass component was achieved by the grinding method. 展开更多

Ultra-precision machine tool is the most important physical tool to machining the workpiece with the frequency domain error requirement, in the design process of which the dynamic accuracy design(DAD) is indispensable and the related research is rarely available. In light of above reasons, a DAD method of ultra-precision machine tool is proposed in this paper, which is based on the frequency domain error allocation.The basic procedure and enabling knowledge of the DAD method is introduced. The application case of DAD method in the ultra-precision flycutting machine tool for KDP crystal machining is described to show the procedure detailedly. In this case, the KDP workpiece surface has the requirements in four different spatial frequency bands, and the emphasis for this study is put on the middle-frequency band with the PSD specifications. The results of the application case basically show the feasibility of the proposed DAD method. The DAD method of ultra-precision machine tool can effectively minimize the technical risk and improve the machining reliability of the designed machine tool. This paper will play an important role in the design and manufacture of new ultra-precision machine tool. 展开更多

For digital signal processing, image processing and communication applications, data are often received at a continuously high rate. The type of necessary arithmetic functions and matrix operations may vary greatly among different applications. The RTL-based design and verification of one or more of these functions could be time-consuming. Some High Level Synthesis tools reduce this design and verification time but may not be optimal or suitable for low power applications. The design tool proposed in this paper can improve the design time and reduce the verification process. The design tool offers a fast design and verification platform for important matrix operations. These operations range from simple addition to more complex matrix operations such as LU and QR factorizations. The proposed platform can improve design time by reducing verification cycle. This tool generates Verilog code and its testbench that can be realized in FPGA and VLSI systems. The designed system uses MATLAB-based verification and reporting. 展开更多

A growing number of international studies have highlighted that ambient air pollution exposures are related to different health outcomes. To do so, researchers need to estimate exposure levels to air pollution throughout everyday life. In the literature, the most commonly used estimate is based on home address only or taking into account, in addition, the work address. However, several studies have shown the importance of daily mobility in the estimate of exposure to air pollutants. In this context, we developed an R procedure that estimates individual exposures combining home addresses, several important places, and itineraries of the principal mobility during a week. It supplies researchers a useful tool to calculate individual daily exposition to air pollutants weighting by the time spent at each of the most frequented locations (work, shopping, residential address, etc.) and while commuting. This task requires the efficient calculation of travel time matrices or the examination of multimodal transport routes. This procedure is freely available from the Equit’Area project website: (https://www.equitarea.org). This procedure is structured in three parts: the first part is to create a network, the second allows to estimate main itineraries of the daily mobility and the last one tries to reconstitute the level of air pollution exposure. One main advantage of the tool is that the procedure can be used with different spatial scales and for any air pollutant. 展开更多

A simplified PCM wallboard model is coupled to an existing design-oriented model of multi-zone buildings. Using a reference model and a basic simulation configuration, the accuracy of the resulting PCM wallboard-building thermal design tool is evaluated. A new performance indicator, called PCM utilization factor, is then proposed in order to estimate the thermal efficiency of using PCM wallboards in buildings. Using this PCM Utilization factor and a degrees-hours indicator, the ability of the PCM wallboard-building thermal design tool to evaluate the effect of PCM wallboards on heating loads and summer thermal comfort in the early design phase of a project is examined in two real case studies: a family house project and an existing office building. The user-friendliness of this design tool, and the short calculation times it leads to when performing a year-long simulation using a standard office computer, make it a well-adapted tool for sensibility studies or multi-criterion optimization for buildings that contain PCM wallboards. 展开更多

To provide a good machining method in remanufacturing for the repaired parts with various forms, the design method of reconfigurable multi-process combined machining system and its implementation technology for remanufacturing are systematically proposed. The key technologies include reconfigurable structure design method of multi-process combined machining, man-machine coordination parameter programming and control system technology with self-maintenance function. A turn-milling machine tool based on this design method is developed. Natural frequency and corresponding vibration modes of the machine tool were analyzed by using both FEA and vibration test. Stiffness tests and machining experiments show that the rapid machining of most processes for the repaired work pieces can be successfully realized. 展开更多

为提高林间剩余物粉碎效率、粉碎均匀度和机器运行稳定性,针对林间剩余物粉碎设计一种弧形斜刃粉碎刀具。通过对林间剩余物粉碎过程中受到的剪切、冲击作用进行力学和动力学分析,明确影响林间剩余物粉碎性能的主要因素及碎裂方式。基于... 为提高林间剩余物粉碎效率、粉碎均匀度和机器运行稳定性,针对林间剩余物粉碎设计一种弧形斜刃粉碎刀具。通过对林间剩余物粉碎过程中受到的剪切、冲击作用进行力学和动力学分析,明确影响林间剩余物粉碎性能的主要因素及碎裂方式。基于离散元仿真试验,对比直刃刀具和斜刃刀具对林间剩余物粉碎性能的影响。仿真试验结果表明,在相同条件下粉碎林间剩余物时,相较于直刃刀具,斜刃刀具仿真的颗粒bond键数量、颗粒平均运动速度、平均粉碎功率、粉碎室壁所受的冲击和粉碎颗粒平均能量等性能指标均有所提升,使用斜刃刀具仿真粉碎程度高,粉碎粒度均匀,工作过程更加平稳。 展开更多
