The highest microhardness which was obtained in our experiment was 49 GPa. The order of effects of deposition parameters is resulted from the L16 experiments according to orthogonal design. The pole density analysis indicated that there were a few of the textureless samples. The crystal orientation of TiN exhibited clear regularity and affected microhardness and other properties of films remarkably. A concept relating to structure factor was proposed. A layer-like structure was found. SAES showed that a transition layer exists between substrate and coating and its thickness is of a micron. The formation mechanism of film was discussed.展开更多

Fine precipitation of Al2Ti (Ga2Hf type structure) and Ll0-...The microstructures of Cr modified Al3Ti containing Al2Ti and L10-AlTi precipitates have been investigated in terms of transmission electron microscopy(TEM). Fine precipitation of Al2Ti (Ga2Hf type structure) and Ll0-AlTi(Cr) occurs in Ll2-Al3Ti(Cr) by aging around 973K. The aging behavior was investigated by microhardness measurements. TEM observations reveal that plate-like Al2Ti precipitates lie on{100} planes of the Ll2-Al3Ti(Cr) matrix with the c axis of the tetragonal phase perpendicular to the thin plate. As contrast with Al2Ti precipitates, Ll0-AlTi(Cr) precipitates form thin plate and lie on {100} planes of Ll2-Al3Ti(Cr) matrix at the initial aging time and for long time aging the habit plane of the thin plate deviates from {100} plane and finally forms a kinked plate. The coherency stresses across the precipitate/matrix interface are considered to be the main factors controlling the precipitate morphology.展开更多
Mg (MgH2)-based composites, using carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and pre-synthesized titanium based complex (TCat) as the cat- alysts, were prepared by high energy ball milling technique. The use of both catalysts demo...Mg (MgH2)-based composites, using carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and pre-synthesized titanium based complex (TCat) as the cat- alysts, were prepared by high energy ball milling technique. The use of both catalysts demonstrated markedly improved the hydrogen storage performance, e.g. a significant increase of hydrogen release rate and decrease of desorption temperature. The synthesized composites can absorb almost 6 wt% of hydrogen within 3 min at 200 ~C and desorb 6 wt% hydrogen in 10 min at 310 ~C. The influence of CNTs and TCat on desorption temperature was also investigated by using temperature programmed desorption (TPD). The TPD results reveal that the peak desorption temperature and the onset temperature can be lowered by 109 ~C and 155 ~C, respectively, compared to the non-catalyzed MgH2. The reaction enthalpy and entropy of hydrogen de- sorption for the synthesized MgH2-based composites are calculated by the van't Hoff analysis to be 73.1 kJ/mol H2 and 130.2 J/mol H2 K, respectively.展开更多

The cylindrical LC lens array uses transparent indium tin oxide (ITO) films as electrode, avoiding to affect the optical path operating in the voltage-off status. As the top electrode of the cylindrical LC lens array contacts with LC, the operation voltage root-mean-square (RMS) amplitude can be as low as 1.4 V and the response time is about 20-30 ms. The special optical focusing feature of the cylindrical LC lens array is got. And the focal length of this array is about 60-450 μm.展开更多
