In this paper, experiments on the Kaiser effect in limestones were performed, and it was found that the limestones had good ability to retain a memory of their recent stress history and high time-sensitivity. The longer the experiment was delayed from the extraction of the stone, the larger the Felicity ratio was. As the Felicity ratio approached l, significant Kaiser effect was observed. In-situ stress should be determined by the limestone measurements when the delay time was 40-120 days. Finally, the in-situ stress in a limestone formation could be successfully measured in practice.展开更多

The microstructure and low-temperature impact fracture were investigated using a scanning electron microscope and a pendulum impact machine, respectively. Moreover, the relationship between cooling time ts/5 and the microstructure of CGHAZ was discussed, and the effect of microstructure on impact toughness was also studied. As cooling time increased, martensite fraction decreased from 97.8% (3 s) to 3.0% (60 s). The fraction of martensite/austenite (M/A) constituent increased from 2.2% (3 s) to 39.0% (60 s), its shape changed from granular to strip, and the maximum length increased from 2.4 μm (3 s) to 7.0 μm (60 s). As cooling time increased, the prior austenite grain size increased from 34.0 μm (3 s) to 49.0 gm (60 s), the impact absorption energy reduced from 101.8 J (5 s) to 7.2 J (60 s), and the fracture mechanism changed from quasi-cleavage fracture to cleavage fracture. The decreased toughness of CGHAZ was due to the reduction of lath martensite-content, coarsening of original austenite grain, and increase and coarsening of M/A constituent. The heat input was controlled under 7 kJ cm-1 during actual welding for these steels.展开更多

At the same time, a large increase was observed for triacylglycerols and to a much lesser extent for steroids and phospholipids with 0.1 picomol per bee. By contrast, fatty acids, steroids and triacylglycerols exhibited a depress at the higher dose. Most responses were thus biphasic, showing that much attention should be paid to the effects of very low doses of pesticide.展开更多

The oscillations and decay of the wave packet on the adiabats as a function of time are given, which can be compared with the femtosecond transition-state (FTS) spectroscopy. The photo-absorption spectra and the kinetic-energy distribution of the dissociation fragments, which can exhibit the vibration-level structure and the dispersion of the wave packet, respectively, are also obtained. The investigation shows a blue shift of the band center for the photo-absorption spectrum and multiple peaks in the kinetic-energy spectrum with increasing laser intensity, which can be attributed to external field effects. By analyzing the oscillations of the wave packet evolving on the upper adiabat, an approximate inversion scheme is devised to roughly deduce its shape.展开更多

We used functional MRI to investigate whether motor performance of the untrained limb could be improved using a serial reaction time task according to motor sequential learning of the trained limb, and whether these skill acquisitions led to changes in brain activation patterns. We recruited 20 right-handed healthy subjects, who were randomly allocated into training and control groups. The training group was trained in performance of a serial reaction time task using their non-dominant left hand, 40 minutes per day, for 10 days, over a period of 2 weeks. The control group did not receive training. Measurements of response time and percentile of response accuracy were performed twice during pre- and post-training, while brain functional MRI was scanned during performance of the serial reaction time task using the untrained right hand. In the training group, prominent changes in response time and percentile of response accuracy were observed in both the untrained right hand and the trained left hand between pre- and post-training. The control group showed no significant changes in the untrained hand between pre- and post-training. In the training group, the activated volume of the cortical areas related to motor function (i.e., primary motor cortex, premotor area, posterior parietal cortex) showed a gradual decrease, and enhanced cerebellar activation of the vermis and the newly activated ipsilateral dentate nucleus were observed during performance of the serial reaction time task using the untrained right hand, accompanied by the cross-motor learning effect. However, no significant changes were observed in the control group. Our findings indicate that motor skills learned over the 2-week training using the trained limb were transferred to the opposite homologous limb, and motor skill acquisition of the untrained limb led to changes in brain activation patterns in the cerebral cortex and cerebellum.展开更多

The decreased toughness of CGHAZ was due to the reduction of lath martensite-content, coarsening of original austenite grain, and increase and coarsening of M/A constituent. The heat input was controlled under 7 kJ cm-1 during actual welding for these steels.

文摘The progress from intelligent interactions requires electronic skin(E-skin)to shift from single-functional perception to multisensory capabilities. However, the intuitive and interference-free reading of multiple sensory signals without involving complex algorithms is a critical challenge.Herein,we propose a flexible multisensory E-skin by developing a highly homogeneous dispersion of BaTiO_(3)nanoparticles in polydimethylsiloxane dielectric layer. The E-skin is sensitive to externally applied pressure as well as temperature and can distinguish dual synergetic stimuli by the time decoupling effect. The pressure and temperature perception was achieved in an individual device, which greatly reduced the structural complexity compared with multifunctional integrated devices. The sensitivity of E-skin for pressure detection is as high as 0.0724 kPa^(−1)and the detection range reaches as wide as 15.625-10 MPa.The sensitivity to temperature detection is as high as−1.34℃^(−1)and the detection range reaches 20-200℃.More importantly,by equipping with a multilayer neural network, the evolution from tactile perception to advanced intelligent tactile cognition is demonstrated.
文摘The injection to emerging adult workerbees with fluvalinate doses ranging from 1 femtomol to 1 nanomol per individual resulted in a reduction of haemolymph carbohydrate concentrations, particularly at the lowest dose 1 hour after injections. At the same time, a large increase was observed for triacylglycerols and to a much lesser extent for steroids and phospholipids with 0.1 picomol per bee. By contrast, fatty acids, steroids and triacylglycerols exhibited a depress at the higher dose. Most responses were thus biphasic, showing that much attention should be paid to the effects of very low doses of pesticide.

文摘The time-varying periodic variations in Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)stations affect the reliable time series analysis and appropriate geophysical interpretation. In this study,we apply the singular spectrum analysis(SSA)method to characterize and interpret the periodic patterns of GNSS deformations in China using multiple geodetic datasets. These include 23-year observations from the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC),displacements inferred from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment(GRACE),and loadings derived from Geophysical models(GM).The results reveal that all CMONOC time series exhibit seasonal signals characterized by amplitude and phase modulations, and the SSA method outperforms the traditional least squares fitting(LSF)method in extracting and interpreting the time-varying seasonal signals from the original time series. The decrease in the root mean square(RMS)correlates well with the annual cycle variance estimated by the SSA method, and the average reduction in noise amplitudes is nearly twice as much for SSA filtered results compared with those from the LSF method. With SSA analysis, the time-varying seasonal signals for all the selected stations can be identified in the reconstructed components corresponding to the first ten eigenvalues. Moreover, both RMS reduction and correlation analysis imply the advantages of GRACE solutions in explaining the GNSS periodic variations, and the geophysical effects can account for 71%of the GNSS annual amplitudes, and the average RMS reduction is 15%.The SSA method has proved to be useful for investigating the GNSS timevarying seasonal signals. It could be applicable as an auxiliary tool in the improvement of nonlinear variations investigations.

文摘To describe the shielding ability of materials accurately and comprehensively, the frequency-domain and time-domain shielding effectiveness(SE) of material is investigated. The relevance between them was analyzed based on the minimum phase method, and the time-domain SE can be derived from frequency-domain SE.The SE of an energy selective surface(ESS) made of a novel material is investigated, and the relationship between SE and radiation field intensity are analyzed. The results show that not only material, but also the intensity of radiation electric field shows influence on SE in its frequency; for some materials, the dependence of SE on radiation electric field intensity needs to be considered. Therefore,it is necessary to research on the SE of shielding material in high-intensity electromagnetic environment.

文摘A series of“half-sandwich”bis(imino)pyridyl iron complexes with a substituted 8-(p-Xphenyl)naphthylamine(X=OMe,Me,CF3)was designed and synthesized by combining weakπ-πinteraction with steric and electronic tunings. The weak noncovalentπ-πinteraction as well as the steric and electronic effects of bis(imino)pyridyl iron complexes were identified by experimental analyses and calculations. The roles of weakπ-πinteraction,steric bulk, and electronic tuning on the ethylene polymerization performance of bis(imino)pyridyl iron catalysts were studied in detail. The combination ofπ-πinteraction with steric and electronic tunings can access to thermally stable bis(imino)pyridyl iron at 130°C.

文摘The photo-dissociation dynamics of LiF is investigated with newly constructed accurate ab initio potential energy curves (PECs) using the time-dependent quantum wave packet method. By analyzing the oscillations of the wave packet evolving on the upper adiabat, an approximate inversion scheme is devised to roughly deduce its shape.

文摘Cross-training is a phenomenon related to motor learning, where motor performance of the untrained limb shows improvement in strength and skill execution following unilateral training of the homologous contralateral limb. Our findings indicate that motor skills learned over the 2-week training using the trained limb were transferred to the opposite homologous limb, and motor skill acquisition of the untrained limb led to changes in brain activation patterns in the cerebral cortex and cerebellum.

文摘Triaxial compression tests were conducted on the alfalfa root-loess complex at different growthperiods obtained through artificial planting. The research focused on analyzing the time variation law of the shear strength index and deformation index of the alfalfa root-loess complex under dry-wet cycles.Additionally, the time effect of the shear strength index of the alfalfa root-loess complex under dry-wet cycles was analyzed and its prediction model was proposed. The results show that the PG-DWC(dry-wet cycle caused by plant water management during plant growth period)causes the peak strength of plain soil to change in a"V"shape with the increase of growth period, and the peak strength of alfalfa root-loess complex is higher than that of plain soil at the same growth period. The deterioration of the peak strength of alfalfa root-loess complex in the same growth period is aggravated with the increase of drying and wetting cycles.Compared with the 0 days growth period, the effective cohesion of alfalfa root-loess complex under different dry-wet cycles maximum increase rate is at the 180 days, which are 33.88%,46.05%,30.12%and 216.02%,respectively.When the number of dry-wet cycles is constant, the effective cohesion of the alfalfa root-loess complex overall increases with the growth period. However,it gradually decreases comparedwith the previous growth period, and the minimum increase rate are all at the 180 days. For the same growth period, the effective cohesion of the alfalfa root-loess complex decreases with the increase of the number of dry-wet cycles. This indicates that EC-DWC(the dry-wet cycles caused by extreme natural conditions such as continuous rain)have a detrimental effect on the time effect of the shear strength of the alfalfa root-loess complex. Finally, based on the formula of total deterioration,a prediction model for the shear strength of the alfalfa root-loess complex under dry-wet cycles was proposed, which exhibits high prediction accuracy. The research results provide useful guidance for the understanding of mechanical behavior and structural damage evolution of root-soil composite.

文摘To elucidate the effects of Cl^(-)and Ca^(2+) on the corrosion and scale formation of 3Cr steel in CO_(2) floodingproduced fluid, corrosion weight loss experiments, and titration experiments were conducted. The resulting products were characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).This study examined the corrosion and scaling behavior of 3Cr steel under the influence of Cl^(-)and Ca^(2+).The results indicate that both Cl^(-)and Ca^(2+)promote the corro sion of 3Cr steel.Notably,Cl^(-)diminishes the promoting effect of Ca^(2+)on corro sion and inhibits scaling, revealing a mutual enhancement between corrosion and scaling. The mechanisms of localized corrosion under varying concentrations of Cl^(-)and Ca^(2+)differ;under-scale corrosion occurs in environments with 5000 mg·L^(-1) Cl^(-),while Cl^(-)induced corrosion is observed in 20000 mg·L^(-1) Cl^(-)environments.This study highlights that under the synergistic effects of Cl^(-),Ca^(2+),and scaling processes, the protective product film dissolves, thereby influencing both corrosion and scaling processes.
