The photocatalytic degradation of acid yellow (AY) was investigated under UV radiation to estimate activity of catalysts and determine the kinetics. And the effects of parameters including the initial concentration of AY, light intensity and TiO2 content in catalysts were examined. The results indicate that TAs has a higher efficiency in decomposition of AY than P25, pure TiO2 particles as well as the mixture of TiO2 powder and active carbon. The photocatalytic degradation rate is found to follow the pseudo-first order kinetics with respect to the AY concentration. The new kinetic model fairly resembles the classic Langmuir-Hinshelwood equation, and the rate constant is proportional to the square root of the light intensity in a wide range. However, its absorption performance depends on the surface areas of catalysts. The model fits quite well with the experimental data and elucidates phenomena about the effects of the TiO2 content in TAs on the degradation rate.展开更多

The surface morphology and the optical properties of the composite film were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet- visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL). The photocatalytic activity of the samples was evaluated by the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange (MO) aqueous solution under visible light irradiation. The results indicate that the Cu2O/TiO2/Pt composite films are made up of three layers which are Pt layer, anatase-TiO2 layer and Cu2O layer from bottom to top. The surface of the films is even and composed of regular-shaped spherical particles. The photocatalytic activity of the Cu2O/TiO2/Pt three-layer film is much higher than that of the Cu2O/TiO2 double-layer film. Such enhancement is ascribed to the presence of Pt layer, which further inhibits the photogenerated electron-hole recombination, prolongs the lifetime of the photogenerated carriers, increases the quantum efficiency and hence improves the photocatalytic activity of the film effectively.展开更多

With coupling biosorption and photocatalysis to develop biomaterial/TiO2 composite photocatalysts is a promising method to remove these trace pollutants because of the synergistic effect. Biomaterials provide multiple function groups which can selectively and efficiently enrich trace pollutants onto the surface of the photocatalysts, thus facilitating the following transformation mediated by TiO2 photocatalysis. PTFE/TiO2 composites were prepared by cold pressing and hot treating. The particle size of TiO2 varied from 5 μm to 11 μm.TiO2 powders with different sizes were prepared by the solid state ceramic route. The effects of TiO2 particle size on the microstructure, density, moisture absorption, thermal conductivity and microwave dielectric properties of PTFE/TiO2 composites were investigated. The density showed an increasing trend as the TiO2 particle size increased, while the dielectric loss (tanδ) and moisture absorption decreased with the increase of TiO2 particle size. The dielectric constant (εr) and thermal conductivity (λ) decreased up to D50 = 6.5 μm and then sharply increased. Good properties with values of εr = 6.8, tanδ = 0.0012 and λ = 0.533 W?m?1?K?1 were obtained in PTFE/TiO2 composites when the particle size of TiO2 was 11 μm.展开更多

Thermal properties as well as X-ray diffraction analyses were employed to characterize the structure properties of such composite. The obtained results showed variations in the glass transition temperature (Tg), the melting temperature (Tm), shape and area of thermal peaks which were attributed to the different degrees of crystallinity and the existence of interactions between PMMA and TiO2 nanoparticle molecules. The XRD patterns showed sharpening of peaks at different concentrations of nano-TiO2 powder with PMMA. This indicated changes in the crystallinity/amorphosity ratio, and also suggested that the miscibility between the amorphous components of homo- polymers PMMA and nano-TiO2 powder is possible. The results showed that nano-TiO2 powder mix with PMMA can improve the thermal stability of the homo-polymer under investigation, lead- ing to interesting technological applications.展开更多

Results of SEM and XRD suggested that better TiO2 distribution can be achieved when optimal AC content was adopted. The performance of the prepared TiO2/5AC catalyst revealed great practical potential in wastewater treatment field.
文摘TiO2 filled polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composite were fabricated for microwave circuit applications. Good properties with values of εr = 6.8, tanδ = 0.0012 and λ = 0.533 W?m?1?K?1 were obtained in PTFE/TiO2 composites when the particle size of TiO2 was 11 μm.
文摘In this work, TiO2/Ti composite films were fabricated by 2-setp MCT and the following high temperature oxidation. Antibacterial activity of the composite films treated by ultrasonic cleaning to increase the performance reliability was examined. The prepared TiO2/Ti composite films showed high photocatalytic activity in the degradation of methylene blue solution. It is obvious that? TiO2/Ti composite films have antibacterial activity under UV irradiation.
文摘In the present work, composites of poly (methyl methacrylate)/titanium oxide nanoparticles (100/0, 97.5/2.5, 95/5, 92.5/7.5, 90/10 and 0/100 wt/wt%)were prepared to be used as bioequivalent materials according to their importance broad practical and medical applications. The results showed that nano-TiO2 powder mix with PMMA can improve the thermal stability of the homo-polymer under investigation, lead- ing to interesting technological applications.

文摘To get a dielectric material with a high dielectric permittivity and suppressed dielectric loss,nano-Ag with a particle size of 20 nm and Ag@TiO_(2)core-shell particles with diameters of approximately 70-120 nm were embedded in polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)to fabricate nano-Ag/Ag@TiO_(2)/PVDF composites. After being modified by nano-Ag with 3 vol%optimal amount, the relative permittivity(ε_r)at 100 Hz of 50 vol%Ag@TiO_(2)/PVDF composites was 61,and the dielectric loss can be suppressed to 0.04,almost 96.4%lower than that of unmodified composites, and a higher frequency stability of bothε_r and loss has also been found. The underlying mechanism of the reduced loss was attributed to Maxwell-Wagner polarization and the Coulomb blockade effect caused by the introduction of a small amount of nano-Ag,which will block the movement of electrons between metal nanoparticles and composites. The space charge polarization and conductance loss are weakened at lower and higher Ag@TiO_(2)filling ratios, respectively, thus leading to a very low loss of the composites.
