This paper proposes an attitude control strategy for a flexible satellite equipped with an orthogonal cluster of three-dimensional(3D)magnetically suspended wheels(MSWs).The mathematical model for the satellite incorporating flexible appendages and an orthogonal cluster of magnetically suspended reaction wheel actuators is initially developed.After that,an adaptive attitude controller is designed with a switching surface of variable structure,an adaptive law for estimating inertia matrix uncertainty,and a fuzzy disturbance observer for estimating disturbance torques.Additionally,a Moore-Penrose-based steering law is proposed to derive the tilt angle commands of the orthogonal configuration of the 3D MSW to follow the designed control signal.Finally,numerical simulations are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. 展开更多

In order to enhance the dynamic control precision of inertial stabilization platform(ISP),a disturbance sliding mode observer(DSMO)is proposed in this paper suppressing disturbance torques inherent within the system.The control accuracy of ISP is fundamentally circumscribed by various disturbance torques in rotating shaft.Therefore,a dynamic model of ISP incorporating composite perturbations is established with regard to the stabilization of axis in the inertial reference frame.Subsequently,an online estimator for control loop uncertainties based on the sliding mode control algorithm is designed to estimate the aggregate disturbances of various parameters uncertainties and other unmodeled disturbances that cannot be accurately calibrated.Finally,the proposed DSMO is integrated into a classical proportional-integral-derivative(PID)control scheme,utilizing feedforward approach to compensate the composite disturbance in the control loop online.The effectiveness of the proposed disturbance observer is validated through simulation and hardware experimentation,demonstrating a significant improvement in the dynamic control performance and robustness of the classical PID controller extensively utilized in the field of engineering. 展开更多

Intercepting high-maneuverability hypersonic targets in near-space environments poses significant challenges due to their extreme speeds and evasive capabilities.To address these challenges,this study presents an integrated approach that combines a Three-Dimensional Finite-Time Optimal Cooperative Guidance Law(FTOC)with an Information Fusion Anti-saturation Predefined-time Observer(IFAPO).The proposed FTOC guidance law employs a nonlinear,non-quadratic finite-time optimal control strategy designed for rapid convergence within the limited timeframes of near-space interceptions,avoiding the need for remaining flight time estimation or linear decoupling inherent in traditional methods.To complement the guidance strategy,the IFAPO leverages multi-source information fusion theory and incorporates anti-saturation mechanisms to enhance target maneuver estimation.This method ensures accurate and real-time prediction of target acceleration while maintaining predefined convergence performance,even under complex interception conditions.By integrating the FTOC guidance law and IFAPO,the approach optimizes cooperative missile positioning,improves interception success rates,and minimizes fuel consumption,addressing practical constraints in military applications.Simulation results and comparative analyses confirm the effectiveness of the integrated approach,demonstrating its capability to achieve cooperative interception of highly maneuvering targets with enhanced efficiency and reduced economic costs,aligning with realistic combat scenarios. 展开更多

For the terminal guidance problem of missiles intercepting maneuvering targets in the three-dimensional space, the design of guidance laws for non-decoupling three-dimensional engage- ment geometry is studied. Firstly, by introducing a finite time integral sliding mode manifold, a novel guidance law based on the integral sliding mode control is presented with the target acceler- ation as a known bounded external disturbance. Then, an improved adaptive guidance law based on the integral sliding mode control without the information of the upper bound on the target accel- eration is developed, where the upper bound of the target acceleration is estimated online by a designed adaptive law. The both presented guidance laws can make sure that the elevation angular rate of the line-of-sight and the azimuth angular rate of the line-of-sight converge to zero in finite time. In the end, the results of the guidance performance for the proposed guidance laws are pre- sented by numerical simulations. Although the designed guidance laws are developed for the con- stant speed missiles, the simulation results for the time-varying speed missiles are also shown to further confirm the designed guidance laws. 展开更多

Focusing on the non-concave trajectory constraint,a sliding-mode-based nonsingular feedback fast fixed-time three-dimensional terminal guidance of rotor unmanned aerial vehicle landing,planetary landing and spacecraft rendezvous and docking terminal phase with external disturbance is investigated in this paper.Firstly,a fixed-time observer based on real-time differentiator is developed to compensate for the external disturbance,whose estimation error can converge to zero after a time independent of the initial state.Then,a sliding surface ensuring fixed-time convergence is presented.This sliding surface can guarantee that the vehicle achieves a non-concave trajectory,which is better for avoiding collision and maintaining the visibility of the landing site or docking port.Next,the nonsingular guidance ensuring the fixed-time convergence of the sliding surface is proposed,which is continuous and chatter free.At last,three numerical simulations of Mars landing are performed to validate the effectiveness and correctness of the designed scheme. 展开更多

The paper presents a new three-dimensional (3D) cooperative guidance approach by the receding horizon control (RHC) technique. The objective is to coordinate the impact time of a group of interceptor missiles against the stationary target. The framework of a distributed RHC scheme is developed, in which each interceptor missile is assigned its own finite-horizon optimal control problem (FHOCP) and only shares the information with its neighbors. The solution of the local FHOCP is obtained by the constrained particle swarm optimization (PSO) method that is integrated into the distributed RHC framework with enhanced equality and inequality constraints. The numerical simulations show that the proposed guidance approach is feasible to implement the cooperative engagement with satisfied accuracy of target capture. Finally, the computation efficiency of the distributed RHC scheme is discussed in consideration of the PSO parameters, control update period and prediction horizon. The outbreak and subsequent recurring waves of COVID−19 pose threats on the emergency management and people's daily life,while the large-scale spatio-temporal epidemiological data have sure come in handy in epidemic surveillance.Nonetheless,some challenges remain to be addressed in terms of multi-source heterogeneous data fusion,deep mining,and comprehensive applications.The Spatio-Temporal Artificial Intelligence(STAI)technology,which focuses on integrating spatial related time-series data,artificial intelligence models,and digital tools to provide intelligent computing platforms and applications,opens up new opportunities for scientific epidemic control.To this end,we leverage STAI and long-term experience in location-based intelligent services in the work.Specifically,we devise and develop a STAI-driven digital infrastructure,namely,WAYZ Disease Control Intelligent Platform(WDCIP),which consists of a systematic framework for building pipelines from automatic spatio-temporal data collection,processing to AI-based analysis and inference implementation for providing appropriate applications serving various epidemic scenarios.According to the platform implementation logic,our work can be performed and summarized from three aspects:(1)a STAI-driven integrated system;(2)a hybrid GNN-based approach for hierarchical risk assessment(as the core algorithm of WDCIP);and(3)comprehensive applications for social epidemic containment.This work makes a pivotal contribution to facilitating the aggregation and full utilization of spatio-temporal epidemic data from multiple sources,where the real-time human mobility data generated by high-precision mobile positioning plays a vital role in sensing the spread of the epidemic.So far,WDCIP has accumulated more than 200 million users who have been served in life convenience and decision-making during the pandemic. 展开更多

The three-dimensional electron-electron correlation in an elliptically polarized laser field is investigated based on a semiclassical model. Asymmetry parameter α of the correlated electron momentum distribution is used to quantitatively describe the electron-electron correlation. The dependence of α on elliptieity e is totally different in three directions. For the z direction (maJor polarization direction), α first increases and reaches a maximum at ε = 0.275, then it decreases quickly. For the y direction in which the laser field is always absent, the ellipticity has a minor effect, and the asymmetry parameter fluctuates around α = -0.15. However, for the x direction (minor polarization direction), α increases monotonously with ellipticity though starts from the same value as in the y direction when ε = 0. The behavior of α in the x direction actually indicates a transformation from the Coulomb interaction dominated correlation to the laser field dominated correlation. Therefore, our work provides an efficient way to control the three-dimensional electron electron correlation via an elliptically polarized intense laser field. 展开更多

In response to the issue of determining the appropriate capacity when hybrid energy storage systems(HESS)collaborate with thermal power units(TPU)in the system’s secondary frequency regulation,a configuration method for HESS based on the analysis of frequency regulation demand analysis is proposed.And a corresponding simulation platform is developed.Firstly,a frequency modulation demand method for reducing the frequency modulation losses of TPU is proposed.Secondly,taking into comprehensive consideration that flywheel energy storage features rapid power response and battery energy storage has the characteristic of high energy density,a coordinated control strategy for HESS considering the self-recovery of state of charge(SOC)is put forward.Then,to measure the economic and technical performance of HESS in assisting the secondary frequency modulation of TPU,an optimized configurationmodel considering the full-life-cycle economy and frequency modulation performance of TPU and HESS system is constructed.Finally,a visual simulation platform for the combined frequency modulation of TPU and HESS is developed based on Matlab Appdesigner.Theresults of calculation examples indicate that the proposed configuration method can improve the overall economic efficiency and frequency modulation performance of TPU and HESS;The control strategy can not only prolong the service life of battery energy storage but also enhance the continuous response ability of HESS;The visual simulation platform is easy to use,and the simulation results are accurate and reliable. 展开更多

The uncertain parameters are divided into two groups: the constant and the time-varying. The controller identifies constant uncertain parameters using nonlinear adaptive controller associated with elimination of the influences of time-varying uncertain parameters and compensation of the external disturbance using sliding control. The results of numerical simulation attest to the capability of this control scheme not only to, with deadly accuracy, identify parameters of motion platform such as load, inertia moments and mass center, but also effectively improve the robustness of the system. 展开更多

CMGs have long been used for satellite attitude control. In this paper, the influence of flexible solar arrays on a passive multi-strut VIP of CMGs for a satellite is analyzed. The reasonable parameters design of flexi- ble solar arrays is discussed. Firstly, the dynamic model of the integrated satellite with flexible solar arrays, the VIP and CMGs is conducted by Newton-Euler method. Then based on reasonable assumptions, the transmissibility matrix of the VIP is derived. Secondly, the influences of the flexible solar arrays on both the performance of the VIP and the stability of closed-loop control systems are analyzed in detail. The parameter design limitation of these solar arrays is discussed. At last, by selecting reasonable parameters for both the VIP and flexible solar arrays, the attitude stabilization performance with vibration isolation system is predicted via simulation. 展开更多

The optimal control is investigated for linear systems affected by external harmonic disturbance and applied to vibration control systems of offshore steel jacket platforms. The wave-induced force is the dominant load that offshore structures are subjected to, and it can be taken as harmonic excitation for the system. The linearized Morison equation is employed to estimate the wave loading. The main result concerns the existence and design of a realizable optimal regulator, which is proposed to damp the forced oscillation in an optimal fashion. For demonstration of the effectiveness of the control scheme, the platform performance is investigated for different wave states. The simulations are based on the tuned mass damper and the active mass damper control devices. It is demonstrated that the control scheme is useful in reducing the displacement response of jacket-type offshore platforms. 展开更多

An obvious motivation of this paper is to examine the effectiveness of the lateral vibration control of a jacket type offshore platform with an AMD control device, in conjunction with H-2 control algorithm, which is an optimal frequency domain control method based on minimization of H-2 norm of the system transfer function In this study, the offshore platform is modeled numerically by use of the finite element method, instead of a lumped mass model This structural model is later simplified to be single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) system by extracting the first vibration mode of the structure. The corresponding 'generalized' wave force is determined based on an analytical approximation of the first mode shape function, the physical wave loading being calculated from the linearized Morison equation. This approach facilitates the filter design for the generalized force. Furthermore, the present paper also intends to make numerical comparison between H-2 active control and the corresponding passive control using a TMD with the same device parameters. 展开更多

To intercept maneuvering targets at desired impact angles, a three-dimensional terminal guidance problem is investigated in this study. Because of a short terminal guidance time, a finitetime impact angle control guidance law is developed using the fast nonsingular terminal sliding mode control theory. However, the guidance law requires the upper bound of lumped uncertainty including target acceleration, which may not be accurately obtained. Therefore, by adopting a novel reaching law, an adaptive sliding mode guidance law is provided to release the drawback. At the same time, this method can accelerate the convergence rate and weaken the chattering phenomenon to a certain extent. In addition, another novel adaptive guidance law is also derived; this ensures systems asymptotic and finite-time stability without the knowledge of perturbations bounds.Numerical simulations have demonstrated that all the three guidance laws have effective performances and outperform the traditional terminal guidance laws. 展开更多

The objective of the present research is to examine the effectiveness of the lateral vibration control of wave-excited response of offshore platforms with magneto-rheological (MR) damper. In this study, the offshore platform is simplified to be a singled degree-of-freedom (SDOF) system by extracting the first vibration mode of the structure. The external 'generalized' wave force is determined with a white noise via a designed filter. A semi-active control method based on optimal control theory is proposed considering that the yield stress of the MR damper can he varied continuously within a certain range. The dynamics of SDOF structure coupled with the MR damper is investigated. Numerical simulation demonstrates that the MR damper with this control strategy can significantly reduce the maximum responses and the root-mean-square (RMS) values. 展开更多

In this study, the seismic response control of offshore platform structures with Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) dampers is investigated. A new SMA damper and its restoring force model are introduced for the calculation of seismic response reduction. Based on an actual platform structure and its mechanical model, the parameters which may affect the rate of shock absorption are analyzed, such as the number, position and characteristics of the SMA dampers and the condition of the site where the platform is located. The results show that the SMA damper is an effective control device for offshore platforms and satisfactory control can be achieved by proper selection of the parameters. 展开更多
