Given customizable crystal structure and intriguing optical properties,lanthanide titanium-oxygen clusters(LTOCs)with atomic-level accuracy have gained a lot of interest.In this study,we prepared[Ln_(9)Ti_(2)(μ4-O)(...Given customizable crystal structure and intriguing optical properties,lanthanide titanium-oxygen clusters(LTOCs)with atomic-level accuracy have gained a lot of interest.In this study,we prepared[Ln_(9)Ti_(2)(μ4-O)(μ3-OH)_(14)(acac)_(17)(CH_(3)O)_(2)(CH_(3)OH)_(3)](Ln=Tb_(x)Eu_(9−x)(x=0,4,6,7,8,9),Hacac=acetylacetone),Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+)co-doped LTOCs,to modify the optical properties for the luminescence thermometer.In detail,the serial LTOCs display dual characteristic emission peaks of ^(5)D_(4)→^(7)F_(5) for Tb^(3+)and^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) for Eu^(3+)at 548 and 616 nm,respectively,under 330 nm excitation.Effective energy transfer(ET)between Tb^(3+)ions and Eu^(3+)ions was revealed in terms of both emission spectra and luminescence lifetime.The ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) emission intensity of Eu^(3+)ions at 616 nm is maximally enhanced(by a factor of 11.2)with a change in the relative molar ratio of Tb^(3+)to Eu^(3+),along with a change in the ET efficiency of Tb^(3+)→Eu^(3+).In addition,the luminescent color changes from red,orange,yellow,to green.This precise control of the ET process between rare-earth ions allows{Tb_(6)Eu_(3)Ti_(2)}to reach a maximum relative sensitivity of 1.241 K^(−1) at 355 K,which is an enhancement of up to 4.6-fold with respect to the previously reported homonuclear emission,holding great potential in the optical thermometers.展开更多

Herein, the novel Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+)co-doped K_(3)SrBi(P_(2)O_(7))_(2)(KSBP) phosphate phosphors were reported. The crystal structure of the title phosphor was determined using Rietveld refinement and proved to have a three-dimensional structure. The time-resolved spectroscopy reveals that there is almost no energy transfer between Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+). More importantly, Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+)emissions show different thermal quenching behaviors, which claims the potential of this material for application in optical thermometer. The FIR of the typical KSBP:0.02Tb^(3+),0.04Eu^(3+)sample demonstrates a polynomial relationship as a function of temperature and the absolute and relative sensitivity are0.025 K^(-1) and 0.59%/K, respectively. In general, our study reports a novel and potential KSBP:Tb^(3+),Eu^(3+)phosphate phosphor that is promising for use in high-sensitive FIR thermometers.展开更多
Dual-excitation and dual-emission Y_(4)GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)phosphors were manufactured by traditional solidphase sintering technique.The X-ray diffraction,morphology,photoluminescence,energy transfer process and te...Dual-excitation and dual-emission Y_(4)GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)phosphors were manufactured by traditional solidphase sintering technique.The X-ray diffraction,morphology,photoluminescence,energy transfer process and temperature sensing properties of Y_(4)GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)samples were comprehensively evaluated.The Y4GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)phosphors exhibit characteristic emissions of Bi^(3+)(^(3)P_(1)→^(1)S_(0)) and Sm^(3+)(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H)under both 290 and 347 nm excitations.In fluorescence intensity ratio and Commission International de L'Eclairage coordinates modes,Y_(4)GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)samples present excellent temperature measurement performance.The maximum relative sensitivity(S_(r-max)) values of the former are 1.55%/K(460 K,290 nm excitation) and 0.82%/K(506 K,347 nm excitation).The S_(r-max)(x) values of the latter are 0.21 %/K(437 K,290 nm excitation) and 0.15%/K(513 K,347 nm excitation).These results illustrate that Y_(4)GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)phospho rs can be used as a candidate material for a dual-mode optical thermometer under dual-excitation.展开更多

Objective:To examine the validation and reliability of the distress thermometer(DT) recommended by National Comprehensive Cancer Network(NCCN) in Chinese cancer patients.Methods:A total of 574 Chinese cancer pat...Objective:To examine the validation and reliability of the distress thermometer(DT) recommended by National Comprehensive Cancer Network(NCCN) in Chinese cancer patients.Methods:A total of 574 Chinese cancer patients from Beijing Cancer Hospital completed the detection of DT,the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS) and Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90),Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC) curve and Area Under the Curve(AUC) were used to analyze the validation relative to HADS and SCL-90.The patients with DT≥4 and whose distress caused by emotional problems were interviewed with the MiNi International Neuro-psychiatric Interview(MINI)(Chinese Version 5.0).This version was used to analyze cancer patients' psychological and Psychiatric symptoms during the cancer process;3.Another 106 cancer patients in rehabilitation stage and stable condition were asked to fill in DT two times,at the base time and after 7-10 days.Results:Data of ROC indicates that a DT cutoff score of 4 yielded AUC of 0.80 with a optimal sensitivity(0.80) and specificity(0.70) relative to HADS,and AUC of 0.83 with the greatest sensitivity(0.87) and specificity(0.72) against SCL-90.The DT also has acceptable test-retest reliability(r=0.800,P=0.000);According to the interview results,the most common psychiatric problems cancer patients have adjustment disorder,depression,and anxiety.Conclusion:The data suggest that DT has acceptable overall accuracy and reliability as a screening tool for testing distress severity and specific problems causing distress in Chinese cancer patients.It is worth being used in oncology clinic,the rapid screening and interview could help caregivers to identify psychological and psychiatric problems of cancer patients and provide useful information for further treatment.展开更多

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) exhibit great promise for developing luminescent thermometers due to their remarkable structural diversities and tunable luminescence properties. Here, we synthesized a series of luminescent mixed-lanthanide MOFs,EuTbBPT(x = 0.019, 0.058, 0.106; H3 BPT = biphenyl-3,4’,5-tricarboxylate acid) and adopted powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) to characterize the resulting products. The temperature-dependent photoluminescence emission spectra were recorded to investigate their potential applications in physiological temperature readout. It is found that the intensity ratio of Tbto Euis linearly correlated with temperature and the relative sensitivity is higher than 1.5%/℃ over the entire physiological temperature range. Furthermore,the temperaturedependent luminescence color emission allows for visual colorimetric temperature measurements.Luminescence lifetime testing and triplet energy level measurement were further conducted to study the mechanism.展开更多
Objective:Family caregivers(FCs)of breast cancer patients play a vital role throughout the treatment process.Psychological distress of FCs is common and often ignored.A simple and effective instrument for screening ps...Objective:Family caregivers(FCs)of breast cancer patients play a vital role throughout the treatment process.Psychological distress of FCs is common and often ignored.A simple and effective instrument for screening psychological distress would help in selecting those FCs requiring special attention and intervention.Here,the validity of distress thermometer(DT)in FCs of Chinese breast cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy was assessed,and the prevalence of anxiety and depression was evaluated.Methods:We recruited 200 FCs of hospitalized breast cancer patients in this cross-sectional descriptive study.Before the first cycle of adjuvant chemotherapy,the levels of anxiety and depression among FCs were assessed using DT and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS).In total,191 valid cases were analyzed.HADS was used as the diagnostic standard to assess the effectiveness of DT as a screening tool for anxiety and depression as well as to analyze the diagnostic efficiency of DT at various cutoff points.Results:The definitive prevalence of both anxiety and depression was 8.90%.The mean level of anxiety and depression among FCs was 5.64±3.69 and 5.09±3.85,respectively,both of which were significantly higher than corresponding Chinese norms(P<0.01).The areas under receiver operating characteristic curves of DT for the diagnoses of FCs'anxiety and depression were 0.904 and 0.885,respectively.A cutoff value of 5 produced the best diagnostic effects of DT for anxiety and depression.Conclusions:The levels of both anxiety and depression were higher in the FCs of Chinese breast cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy than the national norm.DT might be an effective tool to initially screen psychological distress among FCs.This process could be integrated into the palliative care of breast cancer patients and warrant further research.展开更多
In order to constrain temperature during subduction and subsequent exhumation of fel- sic continental crust, we carried out a Ti-in-zircon thermometer coupled with zircon internal structure and U-Pb age on migmatitic ...In order to constrain temperature during subduction and subsequent exhumation of fel- sic continental crust, we carried out a Ti-in-zircon thermometer coupled with zircon internal structure and U-Pb age on migmatitic gneisses from the Weihai region in the Sulu ultra-high pres- sure (UHP) metamorphic terrane, eastern China. The Weihai migmatitic gneisses are composed of in- tercalated compositional layers of melanosome and plagioclase (Pl)-rich lencosome and K-feldspar (Kfs)-rich pegmatite veins. Four stages of zircon growth were recognized in the Weihai migmatitic gneisses. They successively recorded informations of protolith, prograde metamorphism, decompres- sional partial melting during early stage exhumation and subsequent fractional crystallization of pri- mary melt during later stage cooling exhumation. The inherited cores in zircon from the melanosome and the Pl-rich leucosome suggest that the pro- tolith of the migmatitic gneiss is Mid- Neoproterozoic (-780 Ma) magmatic rock. Metamorphic zircons with concordant ages ranging from 243 to 256 Ma occur as over- growth mantles on the protolith magmatic zir- con cores. The estimated growth temperatures (625-717 "C) of the metamorphic zircons have a negative correlation with their ages, indicating a progressive metamorphism in HP eciogite-facies condition during subduction. Zircon recrystal- lized rims (228-2 Ma) in the PI-rich ieucosome layers provide the lower limit of the decompress-sional partial melting time during exhumation. The ages from 228^-2 to 219~2 Ma recorded in the Pl-rich leucosome and the Kfs-rich pegmatite vein, respectively, suggest the duration of the fractional crystallization of primary melt during exhumation. The calculated growth temperatures of the zircon rims from the Pl-rich leucosome range from 858 to 739 , and the temperatures of new growth zircon grains (219±2 Ma) in Kfs-rich vein are between 769 and 529 . The estimated temperatures have a positive correlation with ages from the Pl-rich leucosome to the Kfs-rich pegmatite vein, strongly indi- cating that a process of fractional crystallization of the partial melt during exhumation.展开更多
Herein,we demonstrate an optical thermometer based on single Eu^(2+)doped Ca_(9)Mg_(1.5)(PO_4)_7 phosphors,which were prepared by traditional solid-state reaction technique under a reduction atmosphere.Considerations ...Herein,we demonstrate an optical thermometer based on single Eu^(2+)doped Ca_(9)Mg_(1.5)(PO_4)_7 phosphors,which were prepared by traditional solid-state reaction technique under a reduction atmosphere.Considerations on the bond length obtained by the crystal structure refinement and the dependent photoluminescence performances allow to assign the two distinct emission bands to Eu^(2+)ions occupied Cal-Ca3 and Mg2 sites.Moreover,the blue and red emitting bands perfectly match with the photosynthetic action spectrum,which can enhance the indoor plant photosynthesis.The optimal doping content of Eu^(2+)ions in this Ca_(9)Mg_(1.5)(PO_(4))_(7)system is 3 mol%.The corresponding concentration quenching effect is verified as dipole-dipole interaction with the critical distance of 3.315 nm.Furthermore,by exploiting the fluorescence intensity technique,the optical thermal resistance properties of Ca_(9)Mg_(1.5)(PO_4)_7:Eu^(2+)are identified based on the temperature dependent emission spectra in a range of 303-523 K.In detail,the maximum absolute and relative sensitivity S_(a)and S_(r)of Ca_9Mg_(1.5)(PO_(4))_(7):Eu^(2+)thermometer are as high as 0.637%/K and 0.3155 K^(-1),respectively.Consequently,the Eu^(2+)doped Ca_(9)Mg_(1.5)(PO_(4))_(7)phosphors establish a bifunctional platfo rm for both optical the rmometer and plant growth lighting via multi-site occupancies.展开更多

A universal and low-cost temperature thermometer is realized via a special circuit,integrated circuit chip with microprocessor and analog to digital converter,and digital bus interface.Various thermocouples and resist...A universal and low-cost temperature thermometer is realized via a special circuit,integrated circuit chip with microprocessor and analog to digital converter,and digital bus interface.Various thermocouples and resistance temperature detectors used for temperature sensing may be connected to same thermometer.A special signal condition circuitry is designed and a matching algorithm is proposed.A novel calibration method named disassembled calibration is proposed in order to enhance efficiency and flexibility for the whole system.Additionally,it presents a combination method of low order polynomial fitting and piecewise linearity for the nonlinearity calibration of the thermocouple and the resistance temperature detector.A cold junction compensation based on digital way is described.And the matching algorithm and calibration method may eliminate errors stemming from excitation voltage source and reference voltage source,and can weaken quantization error of analog to digital converter and drift of components,too.Furthermore,the 400 times oversampling is completed by sequential and equal interval sampling to upgrade accuracy of analog to digital converter from original 12 to 15 bits and to raise signal-to-noise ratio.Finally,during a long time monitoring,experiment results show that errors at each static point are less than±0.2°C for the thermocouple system and less than±0.1°C for the resistance temperature detector system.展开更多
Intraperitoneal foreign bodies such as retained surgical instruments can cause intestinal obstruction.However,intestinal obstruction due to transmural migration of foreign bodies has rarely been reported.Here,we repor...Intraperitoneal foreign bodies such as retained surgical instruments can cause intestinal obstruction.However,intestinal obstruction due to transmural migration of foreign bodies has rarely been reported.Here,we report a case of intestinal obstruction due to a clinical thermometer which migrated from the bladder into the abdominal cavity.A 45-year-old man was admitted to our hospital with a one-year history of recurrent lower abdominal cramps.Two days before admission,the abdominal cramps aggravated.Intestinal obstruction was confirmed with upright abdominal radiography and computerized tomography scan which showed dilation of the small intestines and a thermometer in the abdominal cavity.Then laparotomy was performed.A scar was observed at the fundus of the bladder and a ther-mometer was adhering to the small bowels and mesentery which resulted in intestinal obstruction.Abdominal cramps were eliminated and defecation and flatus recovered soon after removal of the thermometer.展开更多

The effects of ear pathologies on ITT measurement remain unclear. The purpose of this study is to determine if tympanic membrane perforation(TMP) affects ITT measurements in adult patients.Material and methods: A total of 90 adult patients with monaural central TMP were enrolled in this study.Patients were categorized into three subgroups according to perforation size(1-3 mm, 4-7 mm, and 8-10 mm).The tympanic temperatures of the affected and unaffected sites, and subgroups were compared with each other.Results: This study contained 54(60%) males and 36(40%) females ranging from 20 to 58 years of age(mean age: 30.74 ± 9.61 years). The mean tympanic temperature of the side affected with TMP was 36.34 oC ± 0.61 oC.The mean tympanic temperature of the unaffected side with healthy and intact tympanic membrane was 36.33 oC ± 0.6 oC. The Pearson correlation score for the tympanic temperatures and the size of TMP was 0.22 which was not significant(r=-0.12).Conclusion: TMP and perforation size do not affect ITT measurements in adult patients.展开更多
Objective: To discuss the application of distress thermometer (DT) on psychological pain in primary hospital patients with prostatic cancer (Pca) and prostatitis;and to analyze the present status and related factors o...Objective: To discuss the application of distress thermometer (DT) on psychological pain in primary hospital patients with prostatic cancer (Pca) and prostatitis;and to analyze the present status and related factors of psychological pain in these patients. Methods: Questionnaire survey of DT and related problem lists were carried out in 168 patients with Pca and 226 patients with prostatitis. The data were input to EXCEL and analyzed with SPSS 18.0. The statistical description was used to analyze the graded of psychological pain. Square test and Logistic regression were used to analyze influence factors of significant psychological distress. Pearson correlation analysis was used to assess the correlation between psychological distress and related problems. Results: Psychological pain score of Pca patients and prostatitis patients were 3.42 ± 1.86 and 3.02 ± 1.75, respectively. Moderate to severe degree of pain accounted for 69.6% in Pca patients, compared to 49.1% in prostatitis patients. In Pca and prostatitis patients, marital status, age, educational backgrounds and income were associated. Physical and emotional problems were the top two items having the highest score. Psychological distress score was positively correlated with physical problems, emotional problems, practical problems and communication problems in both Pcar and prostatitis patients. Conclusion: The Distress Thermometer can be used to assess the severity and explore the causes of psychological distress in Pca patients and prostatitis patients. Our study could help detecting the degree and reason of psychological distress, and provide evidence for the possibility of future personalized intervention to treat medical mental problems in primary hospital.展开更多
Tb^(3+),Dy^(3+)-co-doped Ca_(9)Tb_(x)Dy_(1-x)(PO_(4))_(5)(SiO_(4))F_(2) phosphors were prepared via high-temperature solidphase reaction method and the potential application in optical temperature measurements due to ...Tb^(3+),Dy^(3+)-co-doped Ca_(9)Tb_(x)Dy_(1-x)(PO_(4))_(5)(SiO_(4))F_(2) phosphors were prepared via high-temperature solidphase reaction method and the potential application in optical temperature measurements due to their color-tunable property was investigated in detail.The photoluminescence emission(PL) and photoluminescence excitation(PLE) spectra results show that the as-prepared phosphors exhibit both Tb^(3+) and Dy^(3+) emissions at 546 nm(^(5)D_(4)-^(7)F_(5) transition of Tb^(3+)) and 587 nm(^(4)F_(9/2)-^(6)H_(13/2) transition of Dy^(3+)) upon 376 nm excitation,respectively.In addition,the fluorescence decay analysis shows that the lifetime of the Tb3+emission rapidly decreases,which confirms the energy transfer existence between Dy^(3+) and Tb^(3+).Under 376 nm excitation,the temperature dependence of the fluorescence intensity ratios for the dualmission bands peaked at 546 and 587 nm was studied in the temperature range from 303 to 573 K.The results show that with the increase of Dy^(3+) concentration,the relative sensitivity first increases and then decreases,what’s more,the maximum relative sensitivity is 3.142×10^(-3)%/K for Ca_(9)Tb_(x)Dy_(1-x)(PO_(4))_(5)(SiO_(4))F_(2)(x=0.4).As a consequence,this preliminary study provides a novel method for exploring the novel thermo meters.展开更多
Objective A modified Distress Thermometer(DT)was applied to explore the status of psychological distress in patients with malignant tumors and to analyze the related factors influencing psychological distress.Methods ...Objective A modified Distress Thermometer(DT)was applied to explore the status of psychological distress in patients with malignant tumors and to analyze the related factors influencing psychological distress.Methods The modified DT was used to screen for psychological distress in 140 patients with malignant tumors in the Cancer Center of the First Hospital of Jilin University.Aχ2 test was used to analyze the effects of age and gender on psychological distress;risk factors associated with significant psychological distress(DT≥4)were further analyzed by Stepwise Logistics Regression.Spearman’s Correlation Analysis was used to determine the correlations among the items in the problems list(economic problems,fatigue,eating,pain,nausea,constipation,decreased memory/inattention,anxiety,tension,sleep).Results The results of the modified DT screening showed that the rate of significant psychological distress was 33.57%in patients with malignant tumors,and females and elderly patients were more likely to suffer significant psychological distress(P=0.048;P=0.002).A dry/congestive nose,depression,having to work/go to school,bathing/dressing,and nausea were significant factors or situations associated with psychological distress in patients with malignant tumors,and physical and emotional problems often appeared together in the problems list.Conclusion The modified DT reflected the degree of each symptom(to a certain extent),and could accurately and concretely identify the major cause(s)of the patients’psychological distress,so that the clinical medical care workers could target the problems and improve the patients’quality of life.展开更多
A novel switchable luminescent thermometer based on thermo-responsive triblock copolymer poly(ethylene glycol)-bpoly(acrylamide-co-acrylonitrile-co-dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate)(PEO113-b-P(AAm264-co-AN112-co-DMA8)) ...A novel switchable luminescent thermometer based on thermo-responsive triblock copolymer poly(ethylene glycol)-bpoly(acrylamide-co-acrylonitrile-co-dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate)(PEO113-b-P(AAm264-co-AN112-co-DMA8)) and Eu-containing polyoxometalate (Eu-POM) was successfully constructed.The copolymer synthesized by RAFT exhibited a linear response to temperature variations in aqueous media,which was quite different from the uncharged copolymer P(AAm-co-AN) having a specific upper critical solution temperature (UCST).Eu-POM was surrounded around thermo-responsive blocks through electrostatic interactions,and its luminescence could be finely tuned due to the sensitivity of copolymer to the temperature variation.In cold water,POMs were trapped in highly hydrophobic cores,exhibiting an intense emission.With the upraising of temperature,the emission intensity presented a gradual decrease and showed a linear correlation with temperature.When the complex solution cooled down,the luminescence could also be perfectly restored.This temperature-luminescence correlation could be held for numerous trials,showing a potential application in thermometer.展开更多
文摘Luminescence thermometry has attracted more and more attention due to its non-contact and noninvasive operation,fast response,high spatial resolution,and so on,for which the luminescent thermometers are the key.Here,a 1D complex[Tb_(4)(HTC4A)(TC4A)(OBBA)_(2)(CH_(3)OH)_(4)(μ4-OH)]n(1)was obtained by solvothermal synthesis,where H 4TC4A=p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene,and H_(2)OBBA=4,4'-oxybisbenzoic acid.This complex is featured with a chain-like polymer constructed by bridging some sandwich-like Tb_(4)-(TC4A)_(2)entities through OBBA2-ligands.It exhibited the characteristic emission of the Tb^(3+)ion.Both fluorescence intensity and lifetime decreased with increasing temperature.The relative sensitivity was up to 8.743%·K^(-1)at 473 K,indicating it is a good ratiometric luminescent thermometer.This complex had good stability under different pH values and in common solvents.CCDC:2392643.

文摘Given customizable crystal structure and intriguing optical properties,lanthanide titanium-oxygen clusters(LTOCs)with atomic-level accuracy have gained a lot of interest.In this study,we prepared[Ln_(9)Ti_(2)(μ4-O)(μ3-OH)_(14)(acac)_(17)(CH_(3)O)_(2)(CH_(3)OH)_(3)](Ln=Tb_(x)Eu_(9−x)(x=0,4,6,7,8,9),Hacac=acetylacetone),Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+)co-doped LTOCs,to modify the optical properties for the luminescence thermometer.In detail,the serial LTOCs display dual characteristic emission peaks of ^(5)D_(4)→^(7)F_(5) for Tb^(3+)and^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) for Eu^(3+)at 548 and 616 nm,respectively,under 330 nm excitation.Effective energy transfer(ET)between Tb^(3+)ions and Eu^(3+)ions was revealed in terms of both emission spectra and luminescence lifetime.The ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) emission intensity of Eu^(3+)ions at 616 nm is maximally enhanced(by a factor of 11.2)with a change in the relative molar ratio of Tb^(3+)to Eu^(3+),along with a change in the ET efficiency of Tb^(3+)→Eu^(3+).In addition,the luminescent color changes from red,orange,yellow,to green.This precise control of the ET process between rare-earth ions allows{Tb_(6)Eu_(3)Ti_(2)}to reach a maximum relative sensitivity of 1.241 K^(−1) at 355 K,which is an enhancement of up to 4.6-fold with respect to the previously reported homonuclear emission,holding great potential in the optical thermometers.

文摘Rare earth co-doped phosphor for fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR) thermometer has gained increasing attention in recent years. Herein, the novel Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+)co-doped K_(3)SrBi(P_(2)O_(7))_(2)(KSBP) phosphate phosphors were reported. The crystal structure of the title phosphor was determined using Rietveld refinement and proved to have a three-dimensional structure. The time-resolved spectroscopy reveals that there is almost no energy transfer between Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+). More importantly, Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+)emissions show different thermal quenching behaviors, which claims the potential of this material for application in optical thermometer. The FIR of the typical KSBP:0.02Tb^(3+),0.04Eu^(3+)sample demonstrates a polynomial relationship as a function of temperature and the absolute and relative sensitivity are0.025 K^(-1) and 0.59%/K, respectively. In general, our study reports a novel and potential KSBP:Tb^(3+),Eu^(3+)phosphate phosphor that is promising for use in high-sensitive FIR thermometers.

文摘Dual-excitation and dual-emission Y_(4)GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)phosphors were manufactured by traditional solidphase sintering technique.The X-ray diffraction,morphology,photoluminescence,energy transfer process and temperature sensing properties of Y_(4)GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)samples were comprehensively evaluated.The Y4GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)phosphors exhibit characteristic emissions of Bi^(3+)(^(3)P_(1)→^(1)S_(0)) and Sm^(3+)(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H)under both 290 and 347 nm excitations.In fluorescence intensity ratio and Commission International de L'Eclairage coordinates modes,Y_(4)GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)samples present excellent temperature measurement performance.The maximum relative sensitivity(S_(r-max)) values of the former are 1.55%/K(460 K,290 nm excitation) and 0.82%/K(506 K,347 nm excitation).The S_(r-max)(x) values of the latter are 0.21 %/K(437 K,290 nm excitation) and 0.15%/K(513 K,347 nm excitation).These results illustrate that Y_(4)GeO_(8):Bi^(3+),Sm^(3+)phospho rs can be used as a candidate material for a dual-mode optical thermometer under dual-excitation.

文摘With the increasing demand for non-co ntact fluorescence intensity ratio-based optical thermometry,novel phosphor materials with high-efficiency,dual-emitting centers,and differentiable temperature sensitivity are highly desired,In this wo rk,rare earth Eu^(2+) ions were incorporated Wnto CsCu_(2)I_(3) microcrystals by solidstate reaction,Under a single UV excitation,the as-synthesized samples exhibit two emissions:452 nm blue emission from the 5d→4f transition of Eu^(2+)and 582 nm yellow emission from self-trapped exciton e mission of CsCu_(2)I_(3).The photoluminescence quantum yield reaches to 50%,The dual-band emission of Eu^(2+)-doped CsCu_(2)I_(3) shows different temperature responses in the range of 260-360 K.Based on fluorescence intensity ratio technology,the maximum absolute sensitivity and re Iative sensitivity are 0.091 K^(-1)(at 360 K) and 2.60%/K(at 260 K),respectively.These results suggest that Eu^(2+)-doped GsCu_(2)I_(3) could be a good candidate for highly sensitive optical thermometer.

文摘Currently,the oil-surface thermometer remains a crucial monitoring device in substations.However,challenges such as uneven scale distribution,inadequate model accuracy,and low reading precision persist in handling readings from various types of oilsurface thermometers.This paper presents a high-precision recognition method based on neural networks for accurately reading various types of oil-surface thermometers.The proposed recognition method mainly comprises the YOLOv5 convolutional network,the attention U2-Net semantic segmentation network,and enhanced computational methods.This detection method demonstrates ultra-high precision and can be applied to different types of oilsurface thermometers.Compared to existing methods,the proposed detection method exhibits outstanding accuracy and effectiveness.A comprehensive set of tests was performed to assess the viability and reliability of the approach.Findings reveal that the maximum error margin in its measurements remains below 0.13%.
文摘The study on trichromatic optical fiber radiation thermometers is especially useful for the non-contact accurate temperature measurement of those materials with the emissivities changing dramatically with wavelength.On the basis of the trichromatic thermometry principle,the operation wavelengths of the thermometer are selected properly so as to compensate the emissivity influence on measurement result effectively. Using 1×3 branching fiber coupler and narrow band filter significantly improves the instrument reliability.The instrument is self-calibrated,multi -functional and easy touse due to the embodied microcontroller and some other techniques.
文摘Objective:To examine the validation and reliability of the distress thermometer(DT) recommended by National Comprehensive Cancer Network(NCCN) in Chinese cancer patients.Methods:A total of 574 Chinese cancer patients from Beijing Cancer Hospital completed the detection of DT,the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS) and Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90),Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC) curve and Area Under the Curve(AUC) were used to analyze the validation relative to HADS and SCL-90.The patients with DT≥4 and whose distress caused by emotional problems were interviewed with the MiNi International Neuro-psychiatric Interview(MINI)(Chinese Version 5.0).This version was used to analyze cancer patients' psychological and Psychiatric symptoms during the cancer process;3.Another 106 cancer patients in rehabilitation stage and stable condition were asked to fill in DT two times,at the base time and after 7-10 days.Results:Data of ROC indicates that a DT cutoff score of 4 yielded AUC of 0.80 with a optimal sensitivity(0.80) and specificity(0.70) relative to HADS,and AUC of 0.83 with the greatest sensitivity(0.87) and specificity(0.72) against SCL-90.The DT also has acceptable test-retest reliability(r=0.800,P=0.000);According to the interview results,the most common psychiatric problems cancer patients have adjustment disorder,depression,and anxiety.Conclusion:The data suggest that DT has acceptable overall accuracy and reliability as a screening tool for testing distress severity and specific problems causing distress in Chinese cancer patients.It is worth being used in oncology clinic,the rapid screening and interview could help caregivers to identify psychological and psychiatric problems of cancer patients and provide useful information for further treatment.

文摘Thermal sensing and imaging in the physiological temperature range are of great importance for studying physiological processes and treating diseases. Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) exhibit great promise for developing luminescent thermometers due to their remarkable structural diversities and tunable luminescence properties. Here, we synthesized a series of luminescent mixed-lanthanide MOFs,EuTbBPT(x = 0.019, 0.058, 0.106; H3 BPT = biphenyl-3,4’,5-tricarboxylate acid) and adopted powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) to characterize the resulting products. The temperature-dependent photoluminescence emission spectra were recorded to investigate their potential applications in physiological temperature readout. It is found that the intensity ratio of Tbto Euis linearly correlated with temperature and the relative sensitivity is higher than 1.5%/℃ over the entire physiological temperature range. Furthermore,the temperaturedependent luminescence color emission allows for visual colorimetric temperature measurements.Luminescence lifetime testing and triplet energy level measurement were further conducted to study the mechanism.
文摘Objective:Family caregivers(FCs)of breast cancer patients play a vital role throughout the treatment process.Psychological distress of FCs is common and often ignored.A simple and effective instrument for screening psychological distress would help in selecting those FCs requiring special attention and intervention.Here,the validity of distress thermometer(DT)in FCs of Chinese breast cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy was assessed,and the prevalence of anxiety and depression was evaluated.Methods:We recruited 200 FCs of hospitalized breast cancer patients in this cross-sectional descriptive study.Before the first cycle of adjuvant chemotherapy,the levels of anxiety and depression among FCs were assessed using DT and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS).In total,191 valid cases were analyzed.HADS was used as the diagnostic standard to assess the effectiveness of DT as a screening tool for anxiety and depression as well as to analyze the diagnostic efficiency of DT at various cutoff points.Results:The definitive prevalence of both anxiety and depression was 8.90%.The mean level of anxiety and depression among FCs was 5.64±3.69 and 5.09±3.85,respectively,both of which were significantly higher than corresponding Chinese norms(P<0.01).The areas under receiver operating characteristic curves of DT for the diagnoses of FCs'anxiety and depression were 0.904 and 0.885,respectively.A cutoff value of 5 produced the best diagnostic effects of DT for anxiety and depression.Conclusions:The levels of both anxiety and depression were higher in the FCs of Chinese breast cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy than the national norm.DT might be an effective tool to initially screen psychological distress among FCs.This process could be integrated into the palliative care of breast cancer patients and warrant further research.

文摘In order to constrain temperature during subduction and subsequent exhumation of fel- sic continental crust, we carried out a Ti-in-zircon thermometer coupled with zircon internal structure and U-Pb age on migmatitic gneisses from the Weihai region in the Sulu ultra-high pres- sure (UHP) metamorphic terrane, eastern China. The Weihai migmatitic gneisses are composed of in- tercalated compositional layers of melanosome and plagioclase (Pl)-rich lencosome and K-feldspar (Kfs)-rich pegmatite veins. Four stages of zircon growth were recognized in the Weihai migmatitic gneisses. They successively recorded informations of protolith, prograde metamorphism, decompres- sional partial melting during early stage exhumation and subsequent fractional crystallization of pri- mary melt during later stage cooling exhumation. The inherited cores in zircon from the melanosome and the Pl-rich leucosome suggest that the pro- tolith of the migmatitic gneiss is Mid- Neoproterozoic (-780 Ma) magmatic rock. Metamorphic zircons with concordant ages ranging from 243 to 256 Ma occur as over- growth mantles on the protolith magmatic zir- con cores. The estimated growth temperatures (625-717 "C) of the metamorphic zircons have a negative correlation with their ages, indicating a progressive metamorphism in HP eciogite-facies condition during subduction. Zircon recrystal- lized rims (228-2 Ma) in the PI-rich ieucosome layers provide the lower limit of the decompress-sional partial melting time during exhumation. The ages from 228^-2 to 219~2 Ma recorded in the Pl-rich leucosome and the Kfs-rich pegmatite vein, respectively, suggest the duration of the fractional crystallization of primary melt during exhumation. The calculated growth temperatures of the zircon rims from the Pl-rich leucosome range from 858 to 739 , and the temperatures of new growth zircon grains (219±2 Ma) in Kfs-rich vein are between 769 and 529 . The estimated temperatures have a positive correlation with ages from the Pl-rich leucosome to the Kfs-rich pegmatite vein, strongly indi- cating that a process of fractional crystallization of the partial melt during exhumation.

文摘Herein,we demonstrate an optical thermometer based on single Eu^(2+)doped Ca_(9)Mg_(1.5)(PO_4)_7 phosphors,which were prepared by traditional solid-state reaction technique under a reduction atmosphere.Considerations on the bond length obtained by the crystal structure refinement and the dependent photoluminescence performances allow to assign the two distinct emission bands to Eu^(2+)ions occupied Cal-Ca3 and Mg2 sites.Moreover,the blue and red emitting bands perfectly match with the photosynthetic action spectrum,which can enhance the indoor plant photosynthesis.The optimal doping content of Eu^(2+)ions in this Ca_(9)Mg_(1.5)(PO_(4))_(7)system is 3 mol%.The corresponding concentration quenching effect is verified as dipole-dipole interaction with the critical distance of 3.315 nm.Furthermore,by exploiting the fluorescence intensity technique,the optical thermal resistance properties of Ca_(9)Mg_(1.5)(PO_4)_7:Eu^(2+)are identified based on the temperature dependent emission spectra in a range of 303-523 K.In detail,the maximum absolute and relative sensitivity S_(a)and S_(r)of Ca_9Mg_(1.5)(PO_(4))_(7):Eu^(2+)thermometer are as high as 0.637%/K and 0.3155 K^(-1),respectively.Consequently,the Eu^(2+)doped Ca_(9)Mg_(1.5)(PO_(4))_(7)phosphors establish a bifunctional platfo rm for both optical the rmometer and plant growth lighting via multi-site occupancies.

文摘Accurate temperature measurement plays an important role in a variety of industrial processes and scientific researches.In our work,the dual-mode temperature response nanoprobe CDs-Tb-TMPDPA containing a two-photon ligand(4-(2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl)-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid,TMPDPA)sensitized Tb3+as a temperature-sensitive unit and carbon dots(CDs)as photothermal reagent and a fluorescence reference unit,have been designed and synthesized.In this system,both the fluorescence intensity ratio and the fluorescence lifetime have a good response to temperature.In additio n,due to the excellent photothermal conversion capability of CDs,photothermal antibacterial ability was also tested.Based on the temperature dependence of the fluorescence and the two-photon excitation characteristics of CDs-Tb-TMPDPA,the nanoprobe can also be used in the anti-counterfeiting.Our finding opens a new prospect for the use of two-photon sensitized dual-mode fluorescence thermometers.

文摘A universal and low-cost temperature thermometer is realized via a special circuit,integrated circuit chip with microprocessor and analog to digital converter,and digital bus interface.Various thermocouples and resistance temperature detectors used for temperature sensing may be connected to same thermometer.A special signal condition circuitry is designed and a matching algorithm is proposed.A novel calibration method named disassembled calibration is proposed in order to enhance efficiency and flexibility for the whole system.Additionally,it presents a combination method of low order polynomial fitting and piecewise linearity for the nonlinearity calibration of the thermocouple and the resistance temperature detector.A cold junction compensation based on digital way is described.And the matching algorithm and calibration method may eliminate errors stemming from excitation voltage source and reference voltage source,and can weaken quantization error of analog to digital converter and drift of components,too.Furthermore,the 400 times oversampling is completed by sequential and equal interval sampling to upgrade accuracy of analog to digital converter from original 12 to 15 bits and to raise signal-to-noise ratio.Finally,during a long time monitoring,experiment results show that errors at each static point are less than±0.2°C for the thermocouple system and less than±0.1°C for the resistance temperature detector system.
文摘Intraperitoneal foreign bodies such as retained surgical instruments can cause intestinal obstruction.However,intestinal obstruction due to transmural migration of foreign bodies has rarely been reported.Here,we report a case of intestinal obstruction due to a clinical thermometer which migrated from the bladder into the abdominal cavity.A 45-year-old man was admitted to our hospital with a one-year history of recurrent lower abdominal cramps.Two days before admission,the abdominal cramps aggravated.Intestinal obstruction was confirmed with upright abdominal radiography and computerized tomography scan which showed dilation of the small intestines and a thermometer in the abdominal cavity.Then laparotomy was performed.A scar was observed at the fundus of the bladder and a ther-mometer was adhering to the small bowels and mesentery which resulted in intestinal obstruction.Abdominal cramps were eliminated and defecation and flatus recovered soon after removal of the thermometer.

The purpose of this study is to determine if tympanic membrane perforation(TMP) affects ITT measurements in adult patients.Material and methods: A total of 90 adult patients with monaural central TMP were enrolled in this study.Patients were categorized into three subgroups according to perforation size(1-3 mm, 4-7 mm, and 8-10 mm).The tympanic temperatures of the affected and unaffected sites, and subgroups were compared with each other.Results: This study contained 54(60%) males and 36(40%) females ranging from 20 to 58 years of age(mean age: 30.74 ± 9.61 years). The mean tympanic temperature of the side affected with TMP was 36.34 oC ± 0.61 oC.The mean tympanic temperature of the unaffected side with healthy and intact tympanic membrane was 36.33 oC ± 0.6 oC. The Pearson correlation score for the tympanic temperatures and the size of TMP was 0.22 which was not significant(r=-0.12).Conclusion: TMP and perforation size do not affect ITT measurements in adult patients.
文摘Objective: To discuss the application of distress thermometer (DT) on psychological pain in primary hospital patients with prostatic cancer (Pca) and prostatitis;and to analyze the present status and related factors of psychological pain in these patients. Methods: Questionnaire survey of DT and related problem lists were carried out in 168 patients with Pca and 226 patients with prostatitis. The data were input to EXCEL and analyzed with SPSS 18.0. The statistical description was used to analyze the graded of psychological pain. Square test and Logistic regression were used to analyze influence factors of significant psychological distress. Pearson correlation analysis was used to assess the correlation between psychological distress and related problems. Results: Psychological pain score of Pca patients and prostatitis patients were 3.42 ± 1.86 and 3.02 ± 1.75, respectively. Moderate to severe degree of pain accounted for 69.6% in Pca patients, compared to 49.1% in prostatitis patients. In Pca and prostatitis patients, marital status, age, educational backgrounds and income were associated. Physical and emotional problems were the top two items having the highest score. Psychological distress score was positively correlated with physical problems, emotional problems, practical problems and communication problems in both Pcar and prostatitis patients. Conclusion: The Distress Thermometer can be used to assess the severity and explore the causes of psychological distress in Pca patients and prostatitis patients. Our study could help detecting the degree and reason of psychological distress, and provide evidence for the possibility of future personalized intervention to treat medical mental problems in primary hospital.

文摘Tb^(3+),Dy^(3+)-co-doped Ca_(9)Tb_(x)Dy_(1-x)(PO_(4))_(5)(SiO_(4))F_(2) phosphors were prepared via high-temperature solidphase reaction method and the potential application in optical temperature measurements due to their color-tunable property was investigated in detail.The photoluminescence emission(PL) and photoluminescence excitation(PLE) spectra results show that the as-prepared phosphors exhibit both Tb^(3+) and Dy^(3+) emissions at 546 nm(^(5)D_(4)-^(7)F_(5) transition of Tb^(3+)) and 587 nm(^(4)F_(9/2)-^(6)H_(13/2) transition of Dy^(3+)) upon 376 nm excitation,respectively.In addition,the fluorescence decay analysis shows that the lifetime of the Tb3+emission rapidly decreases,which confirms the energy transfer existence between Dy^(3+) and Tb^(3+).Under 376 nm excitation,the temperature dependence of the fluorescence intensity ratios for the dualmission bands peaked at 546 and 587 nm was studied in the temperature range from 303 to 573 K.The results show that with the increase of Dy^(3+) concentration,the relative sensitivity first increases and then decreases,what’s more,the maximum relative sensitivity is 3.142×10^(-3)%/K for Ca_(9)Tb_(x)Dy_(1-x)(PO_(4))_(5)(SiO_(4))F_(2)(x=0.4).As a consequence,this preliminary study provides a novel method for exploring the novel thermo meters.
文摘Objective A modified Distress Thermometer(DT)was applied to explore the status of psychological distress in patients with malignant tumors and to analyze the related factors influencing psychological distress.Methods The modified DT was used to screen for psychological distress in 140 patients with malignant tumors in the Cancer Center of the First Hospital of Jilin University.Aχ2 test was used to analyze the effects of age and gender on psychological distress;risk factors associated with significant psychological distress(DT≥4)were further analyzed by Stepwise Logistics Regression.Spearman’s Correlation Analysis was used to determine the correlations among the items in the problems list(economic problems,fatigue,eating,pain,nausea,constipation,decreased memory/inattention,anxiety,tension,sleep).Results The results of the modified DT screening showed that the rate of significant psychological distress was 33.57%in patients with malignant tumors,and females and elderly patients were more likely to suffer significant psychological distress(P=0.048;P=0.002).A dry/congestive nose,depression,having to work/go to school,bathing/dressing,and nausea were significant factors or situations associated with psychological distress in patients with malignant tumors,and physical and emotional problems often appeared together in the problems list.Conclusion The modified DT reflected the degree of each symptom(to a certain extent),and could accurately and concretely identify the major cause(s)of the patients’psychological distress,so that the clinical medical care workers could target the problems and improve the patients’quality of life.

文摘A novel switchable luminescent thermometer based on thermo-responsive triblock copolymer poly(ethylene glycol)-bpoly(acrylamide-co-acrylonitrile-co-dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate)(PEO113-b-P(AAm264-co-AN112-co-DMA8)) and Eu-containing polyoxometalate (Eu-POM) was successfully constructed.The copolymer synthesized by RAFT exhibited a linear response to temperature variations in aqueous media,which was quite different from the uncharged copolymer P(AAm-co-AN) having a specific upper critical solution temperature (UCST).Eu-POM was surrounded around thermo-responsive blocks through electrostatic interactions,and its luminescence could be finely tuned due to the sensitivity of copolymer to the temperature variation.In cold water,POMs were trapped in highly hydrophobic cores,exhibiting an intense emission.With the upraising of temperature,the emission intensity presented a gradual decrease and showed a linear correlation with temperature.When the complex solution cooled down,the luminescence could also be perfectly restored.This temperature-luminescence correlation could be held for numerous trials,showing a potential application in thermometer.
