Tracking apps that have been adopted in many countries to...The literary review presented in the following paper aims to analyze the tracking tools used in different countries during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tracking apps that have been adopted in many countries to collect data in a homogeneous and immediate way have made up for the difficulty of collecting data and standardizing evaluation criteria. However, the regulation on the protection of personal data in the health sector and the adoption of the new General Data Protection Regulation in European countries has placed a strong limitation on their use. This has not been the case in non-European countries, where monitoring methodologies have become widespread. The textual analysis presented is based on co-occurrence and multiple correspondence analysis to show the contact tracing methods adopted in different countries in the pandemic period by relating them to the issue of privacy. It also analyzed the possibility of applying Blockchain technology in applications for tracking contagions from COVID-19 and managing health data to provide a high level of security and transparency, including through anonymization, thus increasing user trust in using the apps.展开更多

Drawing on emotional contagion theory and language-mediated association theory,this study develops a research model to examine how textual and facial emotions affect charitable crowdfunding performance.We use computer...Drawing on emotional contagion theory and language-mediated association theory,this study develops a research model to examine how textual and facial emotions affect charitable crowdfunding performance.We use computer-aided techniques to extract and measure specific textual and facial emotions in pitches.The proposed model is tested via regression analysis with a sample of 1372 campaigns collected from the largest charitable crowdfunding platform in China—Tencent Gongyi.Moreover,we conducted a fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis to examine the complementarity of textual and facial emotions,which supplements the regression analysis results.Our findings show that both textual and facial emotions can impact funding outcomes.However,the effects of specific emotions vary:some(e.g.,textual sadness and facial anger)are positive,some(e.g.,textual anger and facial fear)are negative,and others(e.g.,textual fear,textual disgust,and facial sadness)are insignificant.Moreover,facial emotions complement textual emotions in their effects on funding outcomes.This research outlines a framework to offer a more detailed and comprehensive understanding of emotions in charitable crowdfunding.It also contributes to existing research by revealing the vital but complex role of emotions in the persuasive process of prosocial behaviors and by uncovering the different cognitive mechanisms underlying the impacts of textual and facial emotions.展开更多

The re-search that connects the cohesion structure of a text to the derivation of its summary is displayed. A novel model of automatic text summarization is devised,based on the data provided by lexical chains from original texts. Moreover,the construction rules of lexical chains are modified accord-ing to characteristics of the knowledge database in order to be more suitable for Chinese summa-rization. On the basis of the textual research on the historical earthquake data and the field investigation of Wudu earthquake occurred in 186 B.C., we suggest that the earthquake parameters drawn from the present earthquake c...On the basis of the textual research on the historical earthquake data and the field investigation of Wudu earthquake occurred in 186 B.C., we suggest that the earthquake parameters drawn from the present earthquake catalogs are not definite and amendments should be made. The heavily-damaged area of this earthquake should be located between Jugan township of Wudu County and Pingding township of Zhouqu County. Its epicenter should be in the vicinity of Lianghekou in Wudu County with a magnitude of about 7-7 1/4 and an intensity of about IX-X. The major axis direction of the heavily-damaged area should be in the WNW direction that is approximately consistent with the strike of the middle-east segment of Diebu-Bailongjiang active fault zone, and the origin time should match up to that of the latest paleoearthquake event [before （83±46） B.C.] obtained by the trench investigation. Certain seismic rupture evidences are still preserved on this fault segment. Therefore, we propose on the basis of comprehensive analysis that the causative structure of the M 7-7 1/4 Wudu earthquake in 186 B.C. should be in the middle-east segment of Diebu-Bailongjiang active fault zone.展开更多
The Internet revolution has resulted in abundant data from various sources,including social media,traditional media,etcetera.Although the availability of data is no longer an issue,data labelling for exploiting it in ...The Internet revolution has resulted in abundant data from various sources,including social media,traditional media,etcetera.Although the availability of data is no longer an issue,data labelling for exploiting it in supervised machine learning is still an expensive process and involves tedious human efforts.The overall purpose of this study is to propose a strategy to automatically label the unlabeled textual data with the support of active learning in combination with deep learning.More specifically,this study assesses the performance of different active learning strategies in automatic labelling of the textual dataset at sentence and document levels.To achieve this objective,different experiments have been performed on the publicly available dataset.In first set of experiments,we randomly choose a subset of instances from training dataset and train a deep neural network to assess performance on test set.In the second set of experiments,we replace the random selection with different active learning strategies to choose a subset of the training dataset to train the same model and reassess its performance on test set.The experimental results suggest that different active learning strategies yield performance improvement of 7% on document level datasets and 3%on sentence level datasets for auto labelling.展开更多

文摘The Internet revolution has resulted in abundant data from various sources,including social media,traditional media,etcetera.Although the availability of data is no longer an issue,data labelling for exploiting it in supervised machine learning is still an expensive process and involves tedious human efforts.The overall purpose of this study is to propose a strategy to automatically label the unlabeled textual data with the support of active learning in combination with deep learning.More specifically,this study assesses the performance of different active learning strategies in automatic labelling of the textual dataset at sentence and document levels.To achieve this objective,different experiments have been performed on the publicly available dataset.In first set of experiments,we randomly choose a subset of instances from training dataset and train a deep neural network to assess performance on test set.In the second set of experiments,we replace the random selection with different active learning strategies to choose a subset of the training dataset to train the same model and reassess its performance on test set.The experimental results suggest that different active learning strategies yield performance improvement of 7% on document level datasets and 3%on sentence level datasets for auto labelling.

文摘A textual research on materia medica of origin of orthonym and synonym of Cuscutae Semen and synonym of Nu Luo was conducted in this study,and the trade name,regional synonym and nickname of Cuscutae Semen were reviewed.The records of orthonym and synonym of Cuscutae Semen in the past dynasties,and the first published literature and writing date of orthodox and synonym were summarized.The textual research showed that Nu Luo and Cuscutae Semen were not the same plant,which had positive significance for the identification of the origin and modern application of Cuscutae Semen.
