Based on panel data such as 2009-2018 R&D expenditures,full-time equivalent of R&D personnel,Number of valid invention patents,and technology market turnover in China's Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang,and Anhui ...Based on panel data such as 2009-2018 R&D expenditures,full-time equivalent of R&D personnel,Number of valid invention patents,and technology market turnover in China's Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang,and Anhui provinces(cities),using Griliches-Jaffe knowledge to produce Function,construct Time fixed effects model,conduct empirical research on the main factors affecting the technological innovation capability of the Yangtze River Delta,focusing on the relationship between the technological market and technological innovation capability.The results show that human capital and R&D expenditures have a significant and positive impact on the technological innovation capacity of the Yangtze River Delta.Although the technology market has a positive effect on the scientific and technological innovation capacity of the Yangtze River Delta,the effect is not significant.Propose countermeasures and suggestions to strengthen the influence of the technology market on technological innovation.展开更多

This study investigates how the construction of technology transfer markets in China can afect local entrepreneurial activity.Using new firm registration data from the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of...This study investigates how the construction of technology transfer markets in China can afect local entrepreneurial activity.Using new firm registration data from the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of China,the analysis treated the establishment of national technology transfer centers(NTTCs)as a quasi-natural experiment and employed a staggered difference-in-differences approach.The results indicate that the establishment of NTTCs has a positive impact on entrepreneurship.Robustness checks supported a causal interpretation of the results.The primary mechanisms identified were increased availability of entrepreneurial resources and improvements in the local entrepreneurial environment.The effects were more pronounced in technology-intensive manufacturing and producer service industries,and in cities with lower administrative status and higher levels of financial development.Further analysis revealed that NTTCs contribute to economic growth by promoting entrepreneurship.The results have policy implications for government-led development of technology transfermarkets.展开更多

This article proposes a leadership theory of globalization to explain how economic globalization occurs and evolves,and why China wants to take a leading role in globalization.The theory posits that an economy equippe...This article proposes a leadership theory of globalization to explain how economic globalization occurs and evolves,and why China wants to take a leading role in globalization.The theory posits that an economy equipped with advanced industrial technology,a substantial domestic market,and robust institutional capacity is more likely to take the lead in driving economic globalization.Technological advantages in high-tech industries position an economy favorably within the global value chains,maximizing its benefits from economic globalization.A large domestic market can entice other countries to agree to open their markets reciprocally.Institutional capacity enables governments to deter opposition to globalization from those disadvantaged by economic opening.This paper presents studies of historical cases of economic globalization and provides a three-stage model of globalization.It argues that China has been gaining on three fronts in recent decades and is therefore willing to promote economic globalization.展开更多
