文摘BACKGROUND Eighty percent of stroke patients develop upper limb dysfunction, especially hand dysfunction, which has a very slow recovery, resulting in economic burden to families and society.AIM To investigate the impact of task-oriented training based on acupuncture therapy on upper extremity function in patients with early stroke.METHODS Patients with early stroke hemiplegia who visited our hospital between January 2021 and October 2022 were divided into a control group and an observation group, each with 50 cases. The control group underwent head acupuncture plus routine upper limb rehabilitation training(acupuncture therapy). In addition to acupuncture and rehabilitation, the observation group underwent upper limb task-oriented training(30 min). Each group underwent treatment 5 d/wk for 4 wk.Upper extremity function was assessed in both groups using the Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Upper Extremity(FMA-UE),Wolf Motor Function Rating Scale(WMFT),modified Barthel Index(MBI),and Canadian Occupational Performance Measure(COPM).Quality of life was evaluated using the Short-Form 36-Item Health Survey(SF-36).Clinical efficacy of the interventions was also evaluated.RESULTS Before intervention,no significant differences were observed in the FMA-UE,MBI,and WMFT scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the FMA-UE,WMFT,MBI,COPM-Functional Mobility and Satisfaction, and SF-36 scores increased in both groups(P<0.05),with even higher scores in the observation group(P<0.05).The observation group also obtained a higher total effective rate than the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Task-oriented training based on acupuncture rehabilitation significantly enhanced upper extremity mobility, quality of life, and clinical efficacy in patients with early stroke.

文摘Acupuncture-moxibustion can promote recovery from the sequelae of ischemic stroke. However, its mechanism of action has not yet been fully elucidated. This paper introduces the mechanism of acupuncture-moxibustion in alleviating rehabilitation of ischemic stroke sequelae. The regulatory mechanism of acupuncture-moxibustion was analyzed for limb movement disorders, cognitive impairment, depression, epilepsy, dysphagia, and insomnia after stroke from four aspects(promoting neuronal growth and cell proliferation, regulating cerebral blood flow, modulating neurochemicals, and suppressing cell apoptosis). This study provides theoretical support for the wide application of acupuncture-moxibustion in rehabilitation after ischemic stroke.
文摘BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma ranks among the most prevalent malignant neoplasms.Surgical intervention constitutes a critical therapeutic approach for this condition.Nonetheless, postoperative recovery is frequently influenced by the patient's nutritional status and the quality of nursing care provided.AIM To examine the comprehensive impact of personalized nutritional support and nursing strategies on the postoperative rehabilitation of patients with liver cancer.METHODS In this study,a retrospective comparative analysis was conducted involving 60 post-operative liver cancer patients. The subjects were selected as subjects and divided into two groups based on differing nursing interventions, with each group comprising 30 patients. The control group received standard nutritional support and care, whereas the experimental group received individualized nutritional support and nursing strategies. The study aimed to evaluate the impact of individualized nutrition by comparing the rehabilitation indices, nutritional status, quality of life(QoL),and complication rates between the two groups.RESULTS The results showed that the recovery index of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group 2 weeks after surgery, and the average liver function recovery index of the experimental group was 85.significantly higher than that of the control group(73.67±7.19).In terms of nutritional status, the serum albumin level and body weight stabilization rate of the experimental group were also significantly higher than those of the control group, which were 42.33±2.4 g/L and 93.3%,respectively,compared with 36.01±3.85 g/L and 76.7%of the control group. In addition, the average QoL score of the experimental group was 84.66±3.7 points, which was significantly higher than that of the control group(70.92±4.28 points). At the psychological level, the average anxiety score of the experimental group was 1.17±0.29,and the average depression score was 1.47±0.4,which were significantly lower than the 2.26±0.42 and 2.57±0.45 of the control group. This showed that patients in the experimental group were better relieved of anxiety and depression under the individualized nutrition support and nursing strategy.More importantly, the complication rate in the experimental group was only 10%,much lower than the 33.3%in the control group.CONCLUSION Personalized nutritional support and tailored nursing strategies significantly enhance the postoperative rehabilitation of liver cancer patients.Consequently,it is recommended to implement and advocate for these individualized approaches to improve both the recovery outcomes and QoL for these patients.

文摘BACKGROUND Appendicitis is a common acute abdominal pain disorder.Laparoscopic appendectomy,a commonly used modality,is associated with less trauma and faster recovery than traditional open appendectomy. However, postoperative recovery remains an important issue that affects rehabilitation quality and surgical results.AIM To explore the effects of rapid rehabilitation and surgical nursing care on gastrointestinal function recovery and sleep quality among patients undergoing laparoscopic appendectomy.METHODS A total of 120 patients who underwent laparoscopic appendectomy at our hospital between January 2019 and March 2024 and for whom complete clinical data were available were selected.Patients were randomly assigned to two groups(n=60 each)using the random number table method. The control group received routine nursing care, while the experimental group received rapid rehabilitation surgical nursing care;all patients continued to receive nursing care until discharge. The recovery of gastrointestinal function, length of hospital stay, complications,Pittsburgh sleep quality index, and nursing satisfaction were compared between groups.RESULTS Following the implementation of effective nursing measures, the times to bowel sound recovery, first exhaust, first defecation, and first feeding were notably shorter in the study vs control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the duration of the first postoperative activity and the length of hospital stay were significantly shorter in the study vs control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the study group exhibited better sleep quality than the control group(P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate was significantly lower and the nursing satisfaction rate significantly higher in the study vs control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Rapid rehabilitation surgical nursing interventions provided to patients after laparoscopic appendectomy can accelerate their postoperative recovery, reduce the occurrence of complications, and improve their sleep quality and nursing satisfaction.
文摘This editorial highlights a recently published study examining the effectiveness of music therapy combined with motivational interviewing(MI)in addressing an-xiety and depression among young and middle-aged patients following percuta-neous coronary intervention. It further explores existing evidence and potential future research directions for MI in postoperative rehabilitation and chronic disease management.MI aims to facilitate behavioral change and promote healthier lifestyles by fostering a trusting relationship with patients and enhan-cing intrinsic motivation.Research has demonstrated its effectiveness in posto-perative recovery for oncological surgery, stroke, organ transplants, and gastroin-testinal procedures,as well as in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and periodontal disease. The approach is patient-centered,adaptable,cost-effective,and easily replicable, though its limitations include reliance on the therapist’s expertise, variability in individual responses, and insufficient long-term follow-up studies.Future research could focus on developing individualized and precise intervention models, exploring applications in digital health management, and confirming long-term outcomes to provide more compre-hensive support for patient rehabilitation.
