Liquid storage tanks are essential structures that are often located in residential and industrial areas; thus an assessment of their seismic performance is an important engineering issue. In this paper, the seismic response ofunanchored steel liquid storage tanks is investigated using the endurance time (ET) dynamic analysis procedure and compared to responses obtained for anchored tanks under actual ground motions and intensifying ET records. In most cases, the results from ground motions are properly obtained with negligible differences using ET records. It is observed that uplifting of the tank base, which is closely related to the tank aspect ratio, has the greatest significance in the responses of the tank and can be predicted with reasonable accuracy by using currently available ET records. 展开更多

Conventionally, multiple reference frame(MRF) method and sliding mesh(SM) method are used in the simulation of stirred tanks, however, both methods have limitations. In this study, a hybrid immersed-boundary(IB)technique is developed in a finite difference context for the numerical simulation of stirred tanks. IBs based on Lagrangian markers and solid volume fractions are used for moving and stationary boundaries, respectively, to achieve optimal efficiency and accuracy. To cope with the high computational cost in the simulation of stirred tanks, the technique is implemented on computers with hybrid architecture where central processing units(CPUs) and graphics processing units(GPUs) are used together. The accuracy and efficiency of the present technique are first demonstrated in a relatively simple case, and then the technique is applied to the simulation of turbulent flow in a Rushton stirred tank with large eddy simulation(LES). Finally the proposed methodology is coupled with discrete element method(DEM) to accomplish particle-resolved simulation of solid suspensions in small stirred tanks. It demonstrates that the proposed methodology is a promising tool in simulating turbulent flow in stirred tanks with complex geometries. 展开更多

An Improved Spectral Analysis Method for Fatigue Damage Assessment of Details in Liquid Cargo Tanks

Errors will be caused in calculating the fatigue damages of details in liquid cargo tanks by using the traditional spectral analysis method which is based on linear system, for the nonlinear relationship between the dynamic stress and the ship acceleration. An improved spectral analysis method for the assessment of the fatigue damage in detail of a liquid cargo tank is proposed in this paper. Based on assumptions that the wave process can be simulated by summing the sinusoidal waves in different frequencies and the stress process can be simulated by summing the stress processes induced by these sinusoidal waves, the stress power spectral density(PSD) is calculated by expanding the stress processes induced by the sinusoidal waves into Fourier series and adding the amplitudes of each harmonic component with the same frequency. This analysis method can take the nonlinear relationship into consideration and the fatigue damage is then calculated based on the PSD of stress. Take an independent tank in an LNG carrier for example, the accuracy of the improved spectral analysis method is proved much better than that of the traditional spectral analysis method by comparing the calculated damage results with the results calculated by the time domain method. The proposed spectral analysis method is more accurate in calculating the fatigue damages in detail of ship liquid cargo tanks. 展开更多

For the purpose of simulating numer... Moving-particle semi-implicit(MPS) method is a new mesh-free numerical method based on Lagrangian particle. In this paper, MPS method is applied to the study on numerical wave tank. For the purpose of simulating numerical wave, we combine the MPS method with large eddy simulation(LES) which can simulate the turbulence in the flow. The intense pressure fluctuation is a significant shortcoming in MPS method. So, we improve the original MPS method by using a new pressure Poisson equation to ease the pressure fluctuation. Divergencefree condition representing fluid incompressible is used to calculate pressure smoothly. Then, area-time average technique is used to deal with the calculation. With these improvements, the modified MPS-LES method is applied to the simulation of numerical wave. As a contrast, we also use the original MPS-LES method to simulate the wave in a numerical wave tank. The result shows that the new method is better than the original MPS-LES method. 展开更多

横摇激励对压裂船混砂罐中固-液两相混合特性影响的CFD模拟

混砂罐是压裂作业的核心装备,其搅拌效果决定了压裂液的性能,并进一步影响压裂作业进程。针对海洋晃动载荷对压裂船混砂罐内部混合过程的作用不明确的问题,基于CFD方法建立了考虑横摇激励下的压裂船混砂罐固-液两相混合模型,探究了不同... 混砂罐是压裂作业的核心装备,其搅拌效果决定了压裂液的性能,并进一步影响压裂作业进程。针对海洋晃动载荷对压裂船混砂罐内部混合过程的作用不明确的问题,基于CFD方法建立了考虑横摇激励下的压裂船混砂罐固-液两相混合模型,探究了不同横摇幅值和周期对其混合特性的影响。研究表明:横摇激励主要影响颗粒相的速度与分布,对罐内混合相的整体流场影响不大,且颗粒相表现出与横摇方向相同的运动趋势;颗粒相的分布受到罐体位置的影响,在左倾状态时左侧颗粒相体积分数明显大于不晃动时,右侧则明显小于不晃动时,右倾时则与之相反;横摇激励可以加速混合过程,随着横摇幅值增大或周期降低,罐体左右两侧颗粒相体积分数差异增大,颗粒相下沉趋势更加明显,导致排出口混合相平均密度也随之增加,但排出口密度均匀指数呈现下降的趋势,在T=8 s,A>6°或A=6°,T<8 s时均匀指数低于不晃动时。研究结果可为探究混合类罐体受晃动载荷的影响奠定理论基础。 展开更多

为优化LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas)储罐的焊接施工作业,提高结构件的安全性和使用寿命,基于固有应变法建立LNG储罐筒体与封头的焊接施工仿真模型,求解并分析得到结构件的焊接变形和应力变化规律。结果表明:焊接残余应力主要集中在马板... 为优化LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas)储罐的焊接施工作业,提高结构件的安全性和使用寿命,基于固有应变法建立LNG储罐筒体与封头的焊接施工仿真模型,求解并分析得到结构件的焊接变形和应力变化规律。结果表明:焊接残余应力主要集中在马板装夹点,最大残余应力为512.5 MPa,焊接残余变形主要集中在焊缝区域,最大变形为19.4 mm。为减少残余变形和应力,实际焊接时应调整LNG储罐各组件的配合状态,避免多条焊缝在同一区域相交。适当采用分段跳焊法进行焊接,并对焊后结构件进行去应力退火。所得结论可为优化LNG储罐焊接施工作业,延长结构件的使用寿命提供理论指导。 展开更多

基于美国EPA发布的Tanks 4.0.9d模型,对储罐VOCs的排放特征及影响因素进行定量研究,并分析与实测数据的差异。研究表明:储罐VOCs排放受结构特征、环境因素及操作条件的影响;内浮顶罐VOCs排放量最小,固定顶罐VOCs排放量是内浮顶罐的110.5... 基于美国EPA发布的Tanks 4.0.9d模型,对储罐VOCs的排放特征及影响因素进行定量研究,并分析与实测数据的差异。研究表明:储罐VOCs排放受结构特征、环境因素及操作条件的影响;内浮顶罐VOCs排放量最小,固定顶罐VOCs排放量是内浮顶罐的110.5倍;对罐外壁修补白色的底漆,定时进行水喷淋或设置隔热挡板,罐内壁使用防锈防腐材料涂层;运用LDAR(泄漏检测与修复)技术对储罐及其配件进行定期定量的泄漏排查并及时修复等方式均是减少储罐VOCs排放的措施。实地监测得到的VOCs排放量高于模型计算结果,内浮顶汽油罐实测数据是模型计算结果的3.5倍,实测与模型计算等核算方法均存在局限性,建议相关部门根据我国的实际情况开发相应的计算软件,对核算公式进行优化。 展开更多

人工智能领域的监管已成为中美战略竞争的核心领域。基于美国五家主流智库的20份代表性文献,运用内容分析法和文本归纳法梳理美国智库关于中国人工智能监管的观点与建议,归纳分析其认知特征、成因与影响。研究发现,美国智库大多将中国... 人工智能领域的监管已成为中美战略竞争的核心领域。基于美国五家主流智库的20份代表性文献,运用内容分析法和文本归纳法梳理美国智库关于中国人工智能监管的观点与建议,归纳分析其认知特征、成因与影响。研究发现,美国智库大多将中国加强人工智能监管视为一种威胁,并建议通过多种手段对中国采取遏制措施,但部分智库学者考虑到未来人工智能领域的风险存在不确定性以及中国对人工智能监管的积极性,仍主张与中国加强合作以管控潜在风险。对此,中国应以强化数字主权为核心,构建兼具独立性与竞争力的数字治理框架,推动“软法”与“硬法”深度融合,实现对人工智能系统的有效监管;同时,加强自身话语权,增进国际社会对中国治理模式的理解和认知,促进国际多边合作,推动人工智能的和平发展与安全利用。 展开更多

移动粒子半隐式(moving particle semi-implicit,MPS)方法是一种基于拉格朗日观点的无网格方法,在处理结构出入水、数值造波和溃坝等问题时,能很好地避免网格畸变;同时,该方法的自由表面识别算法简单且能保证界面追踪的精度,具有广阔的... 移动粒子半隐式(moving particle semi-implicit,MPS)方法是一种基于拉格朗日观点的无网格方法,在处理结构出入水、数值造波和溃坝等问题时,能很好地避免网格畸变;同时,该方法的自由表面识别算法简单且能保证界面追踪的精度,具有广阔的应用前景。迄今为止基于MPS方法,针对数值造波问题的相关研究多集中于波浪与结构物相互作用,而对波浪生成的验证性分析较少。针对该问题,该文结合改进型粒子迁移技术和稳定算子技术,构建二维数值波浪水池模型,采用推板造波和数值阻尼消波技术生成规则波,并模拟多组不同参数的规则波,以分析阻尼参数对造波结果的影响。在此基础上,文中依据波浪中浮箱运动的实验数据,对模型进行了进一步检验。研究结果表明:该模型能较为准确地模拟不同参数的规则波,波幅误差与反射率正相关,合理选择阻尼参数能有效减小反射波对数值模拟结果的影响;同时,该文模拟的波浪中浮箱运动时历曲线与实验数据吻合良好,证明了文中模型用于波浪与结构物相互作用问题的可行性。 展开更多

由于制造、运行、腐蚀等因素,车用天然气储罐可能存在表面裂纹缺陷,获得裂纹尖端的应力强度因子是开展储罐安全性能评价的重要程序。采用有限元方法,对含表面裂纹车用天然气储罐进行了应力强度因子分析,获得了裂纹尖端轮廓线上的应力强... 由于制造、运行、腐蚀等因素,车用天然气储罐可能存在表面裂纹缺陷,获得裂纹尖端的应力强度因子是开展储罐安全性能评价的重要程序。采用有限元方法,对含表面裂纹车用天然气储罐进行了应力强度因子分析,获得了裂纹尖端轮廓线上的应力强度因子分布情况,并研究了裂纹深度a、长度c以及长度与深度之比c/a对应力强度因子分布的影响规律。结果表明,当裂纹a和c较小时,裂纹尖端轮廓线上的应力强度因子数值差别不大;随着裂纹尺寸的增加,裂纹尖端轮廓线中间部位的应力强度因子明显高于其他部位,且随着a和c/a的增加而增加。相关工作对于开展含缺陷车用天然气储罐安全评价以及保障设备长周期运行具有明显意义。 展开更多

By finite element method (FEM) simulation, the configuration of multipoint blank holder cylinders and the setting of local BHF are optimized, and the influences of the multipoint BHF on the hydromechanical deep drawing and conventional hydroforming processes are studied. The desired fluid pressure and whole BHF are predicted for hydromechanical deep drawing process. A fully nonlinear numerical wave tank based on the solution of the σ-transformed Navier-Stokes equation is developed in this study. The numerical wave is generated from the inflow boundary, where the surface elevation and/or velocity are specified by use of the analytical solution or the laboratory data. The Sommerfeld/Orlanski radiation condition in conjunction with an artificial damping zone is applied to reduce wave reflection from the outflow boundary. The whole numerical solution procedures are split into three steps, i.e., advection, diffusion and propagation, and a new method, the Lagrange-Euler Method, instead of the MAC or VOF method, is introduced to solve the free surface elevation at the new time step. Several typical wave cases, including solitary waves, regular waves and irregular waves, are simulated in the wave tank. The robustness and accuracy of the NWT are verified by the good agreement between the numerical results and the linear or nonlinear analytical solutions. This research will be further developed by study of wave-wave, wave-current, wave-structure or wave-jet interaction in the future. 展开更多

Freak waves are generated based on the mechanism of wave focusing in a 2D numerical wave tank. To set up the nonlinear numerical wave tank, the Boundary Element Method is used to solve potential flow equations incorporated with fully nonlinear free surface boundary conditions. The nonlinear properties of freak waves, such as high frequency components and wave profile asymmetry, are discussed. The kinematic data, which can be useful for the evaluation of the wave forces exerted on structures to avoid underestimation of linear predictions, are obtained, and discussed, from the simulated results of freak waves. 展开更多

The influence of baffle position on liquid sloshing during the braking and turning of a tank truck was studied using a volume of fluid (VOF) model. The forces,their positions and weight distribution during braking and the forces and rolling moment during turning were calculated. The reliability of the calculation method was validated by comparisons with experimental results. The results showed that during braking,liquid splashes in the tank and the maximum forces and G (the ratio of weight acting on the front axle to the rear axle) are large when A (the ratio of the arch area above the baffle to the area of cross section)≤0.1. When A≥0.2,as the position of the baffle is lowered,the maximum of Fx (the force in direction x) first decreases then increases,and the maximum of Fy (the force in direction y) and G increase. During turning,liquid splashes in the tank and the maximum forces and M (the rolling moment) are large when D (the ratio of the arch area above the baffle to the area of cross section)≤0.2. When D≥0.3,as the position of the baffle is lowered,the maximums of Fy,Fz (the force in direction z) and M increase. 展开更多
