With the rapid development of rural tourism and increasing awareness of cultural preservation,traditional villages have become key destinations for modern individuals seeking cultural identity and nostalgic experiences.Their unique cultural atmosphere,historical relics,and humanistic environments provide tourists with immersive experiences distinct from urban life.This study takes Qian gang Ancient Village as a case to explore how cultural atmosphere and nostalgia influence tourists well-being and further drive environmentally responsible behavior.The findings reveal that the cultural atmosphere and nostalgia in traditional villages significantly enhance tourists hedonic and eudaimonic well-being.Both forms of well-being are closely linked to environmentally responsible behavior,and nostalgia also directly influence such behavior.This research offers theoretical and practical insights for sustainable rural tourism management. 展开更多

In order to improve the competitiveness of smart tourist attractions in the tourism market,this paper selects a scenic spot in Shenyang and uses big data technology to predict the passenger flow of the scenic spot.Firstly,this paper introduces the big data-driven forecast model of scenic spot passenger flow.Based on the traditional autoregressive integral moving average model and artificial neural network model,it builds a big data analysis and forecast model.Through the analysis of data source,model building,scenic spot passenger flow accuracy,and modeling time comparison,it affirms the advantages of big data analysis in forecasting scenic spot passenger flow.Finally,it puts forward four commercial operation optimization strategies:adjusting the ticket pricing of scenic spots,upgrading the catering and accommodation services in scenic spots,planning and designing play projects,and formulating accurate scenic spot marketing strategies,in order to provide references for the optimization and upgrading of smart tourist attractions in the future. 展开更多

In the information age,the movement of livelihood factors between urban and rural areas,particularly involving farmers in rural tourism destinations,has stimulated the spatial revitalization and functional renewal of these destinations,thereby facilitating the advancement of rural revitalization.The examination of livelihood strategy selection among farmers in rural tourist destinations during the information age is a critical scientific inquiry for the sustainable development of rural tourism.This research holds substantial significance for enhancing the livelihood capabilities of farmers and contributing to the revitalization of rural industries.This study utilizes Xijiang Miao Village as a case study to conduct an in-depth analysis of farmers’livelihood strategy selection through the application of the entropy evaluation method and the binary logistic regression model.The findings indicate that the robust development of rural tourism has led to significant alterations in the original composition of livelihood capital in tourist destinations.Currently,four distinct types of livelihoods have been identified:agricultural-based,migrantwork-oriented,tourism-specialized,and tourism-supplemented.Due to the uneven distribution of livelihood capital,the predominant livelihood modes for farmers in rural tourism destinations remain the agricultural-based and tourism-supplemented types.Human capital and economic capital are the primary factors influencing the strategic choices made by farmers.In this context,a livelihood selection strategy for farmers in rural tourist destinations,specifically in Xijiang Miao Village,is proposed,taking into account the background of rural informatization. 展开更多

This study focuses on the ecosystem cultural service quality of Qu County Congren Valley Forest Park from the perspective of tourist perception.Using the Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA)questionnaire survey method and SPSS data analysis techniques,we systematically evaluate tourists’cognitive differences and improvement paths regarding the cultural service value of the scenic area.Based on the nonmaterial characteristics of ecosystem cultural services,combined with the unique Congren culture and natural landscape resources of Congren Valley,we designed a five-dimensional scale including natural landscape and ecological protection,cultural display and interpretation services,cultural activity participation and experience,infrastructure and supporting services,and safety management.This covers tourists’evaluations of the importance of elements such as cultural displays,interpretation systems,interactive activities,and facility support,as well as their actual satisfaction feedback.Through descriptive statistical analysis,reliability and validity testing,factor analysis,and IPA matrix analysis,we reveal the core contradictions and improvement directions perceived by tourists.The study found that the convenience of facilities such as signage,rest areas,toilets,roads,and the cleanliness of the scenic area are key areas for improvement.Additionally,different age groups perceive differences in the cultural service quality of the Congren Valley Forest Park ecosystem.The study concludes that tourists have a high level of concern for the convenience of scenic infrastructure and sanitary environment.Improving these facilities can help increase tourist satisfaction and the overall service quality of the scenic area.Simultaneously,meeting the needs of segmented markets and constructing a three-in-one service system of“deep excavation of cultural symbols–digital storytelling–immersive scenes”is recommended. 展开更多

Against the backdrop of the strategies for rural revitalization and the integration of agriculture,culture,and tourism,farm stay,as a vital carrier,requires a systematic analysis of its resource integration effectiveness and the actual needs of tourists.Taking Chongqing City as an example,this study leverages tourist reviews from the Dianping platform(China’s leading consumer review site)and employs a combination of TF-IDF keyword extraction,SnowNLP sentiment analysis,and LDA topic modeling to dissect tourists’perception characteristics and latent demands for agritourism resources from the demand side.The findings reveal that agricultural and tourism elements garner significant attention,while cultural resources are notably underperceived,indicating an imbalanced integration structure.Sentiment is predominantly positive,yet negative feedback highlights issues in service management,transportation,and homogenized experiences.Latent demands converge on three dimensions:deepening agricultural experiences,enhancing cultural participation and interaction,and improving environmental and service quality.Based on these findings,this study proposes integration enhancement strategies,including agricultural branding,cultural vitalization,service intelligence,and multi-faceted collaboration,to drive experience upgrades and sustainable development in farm stays,offering theoretical references and practical pathways for rural tourism integration in similar regions. 展开更多

Chinese visiting Rovaniemi, Finland: profile and perceptions of Arctic tourists

Chinese tourists visit many different destinations, and the areas ar... The profile of the Chinese tourist is changing. Outbound tourism destinations for Chinese tourists are no longer limited to the Asia-Pacific region. Chinese tourists visit many different destinations, and the areas around the Arctic Circle are growing in attraction. This paper is based on a 2016 online survey about Chinese tourists visiting Rovaniemi, Finland. The questions were based on a previous study of the Finnish Tourist Board conducted in 2003. The results were analyzed and the two studies were compared. The resultant profile of the Chinese tourist visiting the Rovaniemi area showed natural landscapes to be the most important attraction. All respondents had a "must-do" activity, and more than half participated in sport and leisure activities. The state of the environment, natural landscape, and safety conditions were rated most important among tourists. Increasingly, tourists prefer to organize individual trips, using multiple information channels. Currently, Chinese tourists demand deeper tourism experiences. They want to enjoy winter activities in a pure environment, and unique experiences, such as sleeping in an ice or glass hotel. Chinese tourists appreciate the uniqueness that cannot be found in other places. They wish to benefit from travel information from various media, which will allow Chinese tourists to make a complete plan before their journey. 展开更多

The results show that attributes of Yancheng City contain 4 dimensions, and tourists' perception of the attributes declines in the sequence "recreational and entertainment attribute→ attribute of culture of the Spring and Autumn Period→ attribute of landscapes and ruins→ attribute of humanistic concern"; the four-dimension attributes vary greatly in driving tourists' place attachment, recreational and entertainment attribute and attribute of culture of the Spring and Autumn Period have obvious positive driving effect, attribute of landscapes and ruins and attribute of humanistic concern have poorer driving effect; generally speaking, driving effect of tourist destination attributes on tourists' place attachment is demonstrated as "highlighted value functions of tourist destination attributes→‘predominant area' of tourists' perceptual experience→ obvious driving effect on tourists' place attachment" and "hysteretic value functions of tourist destination attributes→‘vulnerable area' of tourists' perceptual experience→ weakened driving effect on tourists' place attachment"; driving effect of the overall attributes of tourist destination on tourists' place attachment is to be further improved and optimized. 展开更多

The competitive environment also was analyzed, once tourists have different destinations to their disposal which is attracted for destinations that offer optimum value and the greatest number of benefits. To reach the proposed objectives, an exploratory research through in depth personal interviews with 20 individuals was carried on using snow ball technique aims to identify the possible factors of attractiveness and related degree of importance of each of these possible factors in the tourist consumer behavior. Through the field investigation in Xionger Mountain,it was found that the scenic area is rich in tourism resources.However,the development of tourism is lagging behind.By the method of random sampling,a survey for visitors was conducted.A total of 100 questionnaires were issued,100 of which were valid.With the help of TSI evaluating model,tourists' satisfaction degree was calculated accurately.The results showed that ratio of tourism performance to price in Xionger Mountain wasn't high,of which tourists generally expressed dissatisfaction;that the overall environment was quite good,of which tourists showed higher satisfaction degree;that some tourists' expectations to this scenic area were not high;that revisit willing was comparatively high;that there was a certain gap compared with other scenic spot.Tourists' satisfaction degree on Xionger Mountain is 55.89% through calculating TSI index.Finally,aiming at the existent problems,some countermeasures for improving the tourists' satisfaction degree on Xionger Mountain were put forward from the aspects of tour value,environmental perception,marketing philosophy and modes. 展开更多

In the article tourist management in two national parks in the Czech-German borderland are being compared,namely Bohemian ’Switzerland’(also known as Czech ’Switzerland’) and Saxon’Switzerland’.Situated on either side of the state border,they feature the same type of geographical environment.Transport accessibility,transborder links and the hiking trail network are analyzed using methodology sourced from graph theory.The result of the analyses is a classification of tourist hubs and tourist centers,as well as an indication of the main directions of tourist flow.The German national park is decidedly more accessible but with a detrimental effect on the natural environment primarily due to its fragmentation by a dense network of tourist trails.In both parks trails enter the core zone(in theory a strict protection area) but this occurs on a larger scale on the German side.In the Czech national park a greater number of positive examples of managing tourist movements can be identified.Additionally,larger areas managed for dispersion,or from which tourists are generally excluded,are located there. 展开更多
