Significant wave height(SWH) can be computed from the returning waveform of radar altimeter, this parameter is only raw estimates if it does not calibrate. But accurate calibration is important for all applications, especially for climate studies. HY-2a altimeter has been operational since April 2012 and its products are available to the scientific community. In this work, SWH data from HY-2A altimeters are calibrated against in situ buoy data from the National Data Buoy Center(NDBC), Distinguished from previous calibration studies which generally regarded buoy data as "truth", the work of calibration for HY-2A altimeter wave data against in situ buoys was applied a more sophisticated statistical technique-the total least squares(TLS) method which can take into account errors in both variables. We present calibration results for HY-2A radar altimeter measurement of wave height against NDBC buoys. In addition, cross-calibration for HY-2A and Jason-2 wave data are talked over and the result is given. 展开更多

Structural,electrical and optical characterization of InGaN layers grown by MOVPE

We present a study on n-type ternary InGaN layers grown by atmospheric pressure metalorganic vapour phase epitaxy (MOVPE) on GaN template/(0001) sapphire substrate. An investigation of the different growth conditions on n-type InxGa1-xN (x = 0.06 -- 0.135) alloys was done for a series of five samples. The structural, electrical and optical properties were characterized by high resolution x-ray diffraction (HRXRD), Hall effect and photolumineseence (PL). Experimental results showed that different growth conditions, namely substrate rotation (SR) and change of total H2 flow (THF), strongly affect the properties of InGaN layers. This case can be clearly observed from the analytical results. When the SR speed decreased, the HRXRD scan peak of the samples shifted along a higher angle. Therefore, increasing the SR speed changed important structural properties of InGaN alloys such as peak broadening, values of strain, lattice parameters and defects including tilt, twist and dislocation density. From PL results it is observed that the growth conditions can be changed to control the emission wavelength and it is possible to shift the emission wavelength towards the green. Hall effect measurement has shown that the resistivity of the samples changes dramatically when THF changes. 展开更多

The maximum alach... We used a ultrasound/Fe2+/H2O2 process in continuous dosing mode to degrade the alachlor. Experimental results indicated that lower pH levels enhanced the degradation and mineralization of alachlor. The maximum alachlor degradation (initial alachlor concentration of 50 mg/L) was as high as 100% at pH 3 with ultrasound of 100 Watts, 20 mg/L of Fe2+, 2 mg/min of H2O2 and 20℃ within 60 min reaction combined with 46.8% total organic carbon removal. Higher reaction temperatures inhibited the degradation of alachlor. Adequate dosages of Fe2+ and H2O2 in ultrasound/Fe2+/H2O2 process not only enhance the degradation efficiency of alachlor but also save the operational cost than the sole ultrasound or Fenton process. A continuous dosing mode ultrasound/Fe2+/H2O2 process was proven as an effective method to degrade the alachlor. 展开更多

Objective:To identify the alleralinn of the membrane polenlial and llie effect of carolenoid extracts from Chlorococcum hnmicola(C.humicola) on membrane hound ATPases and lipid peroxidation.Methods:The lolal carotenoids were extracted from C.humicola.Four groups of Swiss albino mice were treated as control,Benzo(a)pyrene[B(a)P],total carotenoids,B(a)P+ total caralenoids respectively for a period of 60 days.Membrane lipid peroxidation and ATPases(Total ATPases,Ca^(2+)-ATPases.Mg^(2+)-ATPases.Na^+K^+- ATPasei were determined in lung,liver and erythrocyte samples.Results:The activity of lolal ATPase was found to be significantly increased in the B(a)P treated liver and lung tissue.Erythrocyte membrane also showed higher ATPase activity which was significantly reverted on total carolenoid treatment.Conclusions: It can be concluded that the changes in membrane potential favour the functional deterioration of physiological system.The overall findings demonstrates that the animals post treated with carolenoid extract from C.humicola may maintains the alterations in membrane bound ATPase and lipid peroxidation in tissues against the carcinogenic chemical and hence aid in establishing the membrane potential action.Then-fore C.humicola can be further extended to exploits its possible application for various health benefits as neulraceulicals and food additives. 展开更多

Because of the discrete charge storage mechanism, charge trapping memory(CTM) technique is a good candidate for aerospace and military missions. The total ionization dose(TID) effects on CTM cells with Al2O3/HfO2/Al2O3(AHA) high-k gate stack structure under in-situ 10 keV x-rays are studied. The C-V characteristics at different radiation doses demonstrate that charge stored in the device continues to be leaked away during the irradiation,thereby inducing the shift of flat band voltage(V(fb)). The dc memory window shows insignificant changes, suggesting the existence of good P/E ability. Furthermore, the physical mechanisms of TID induced radiation damages in AHA-based CTM are analyzed. 展开更多

The capture of orthophosphates and total phosphorus from the Pudong Canal river in the Pudong District of Shanghai by TiO2 nanoparticles is studied using a rotating photoreactor and the nano-TiO2 photocatalyst Degussa P25. The effects of UV irradiation intensity in a range of 20-74 mW/cm^2, the loading of the TiO2 nanoparticles in a range of 0.05-0.1 g/L, irradiation time up to 4 h, and pH values in a range of 2-10.5 on the capture efficiency are investigated. The results show that the capture of orthophosphates and total P are significantly enhanced by UV irradiation; at a loading of 0.1 g/L and an irradiation intensity above 36 mW/cm^2, orthophosphates and total phosphorus are rapidly captured by TiO2 nanoparticles, causing an observed reduction from 0.4 mg/L down to 0.02 mg/L. pH values in a range of 2-10.5 have little effect on the capture efficiency of orthophosphates and total phosphorus. 展开更多

The total (elastic plus inelastic) cross sections for positron scattering from N2 and CO2 over the incident energy range from 30 to 3000eV are calculated using the additivity rule model at Hartree-Fock level. A complex optical model potential modified by incorporating the concept of bonded atom, which takes into account the overlapping effect of electron clouds between two atoms in a molecule, is employed to calculate the total cross section of positron-molecule scattering. The calculated total cross sections are in good agreement with those reported by experiments and other theories over a wide energy range. 展开更多
