In recent years,GNSS-derived total electron content(TEC)measurements have emerged as an effective method for detecting natural hazards through their ionospheric manifestations.Seismo-atmospheric disturbances generated...In recent years,GNSS-derived total electron content(TEC)measurements have emerged as an effective method for detecting natural hazards through their ionospheric manifestations.Seismo-atmospheric disturbances generated by earthquakes,tsunamis,and volcanic eruptions propagate as traveling ionospheric disturbances(TIDs)that modify ionospheric electron density.Despite this potential,specialized open-source tools for such analyses remain limited.We present IonKit-NH,a MATLAB-based toolkit enabling systematic processing of multi-GNSS data(GPS,GLONASS,Galileo,BDS)through dual-frequency combination analysis for TEC derivation.The software implements automated generation of time-distance diagrams and 2D TEC perturbation maps,enabling quantitative characterization of TID propagation parameters associated with natural hazards.This toolkit enhances standardized analysis of ionospheric precursors and co-seismic signals across global navigation satellite systems.展开更多
This article introduces a novel 20 V radiation-hardened high-voltage metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor(MOSFET)driver with an optimized input circuit and a drain-surrounding-source(DSS)structure.The inp...This article introduces a novel 20 V radiation-hardened high-voltage metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor(MOSFET)driver with an optimized input circuit and a drain-surrounding-source(DSS)structure.The input circuit of a conventional inverter consists of a thick-gate-oxide n-type MOSFET(NMOS).These conventional drivers can tolerate a total ionizing dose(TID)of up to 100 krad(Si).In contrast,the proposed comparator input circuit uses both a thick-gate-oxide p-type MOSFET(PMOS)and thin-gate-oxide NMOS to offer a high input voltage and higher TID tolerance.Because the thick-gate-oxide PMOS and thin-gate-oxide NMOS collectively provide better TID tolerance than the thick-gate-oxide NMOS,the circuit exhibits enhanced TID tolerance of>300 krad(Si).Simulations and experimental date indicate that the DSS structure reduces the probability of unwanted parasitic bipolar junction transistor activation,yielding a better single-event effect tolerance of over 81.8 MeVcm^(2)mg^(-1).The innovative strategy proposed in this study involves circuit and layout design optimization,and does not require any specialized process flow.Hence,the proposed circuit can be manufactured using common commercial 0.35μm BCD processes.展开更多
Previous studies have revealed that typhoons can affect the ionosphere.This paper uses GNSS observations provided by GNSS tracking stations of Taiwan region,ERA5 gravity wave dissipation products,and Himawari-8 band 0...Previous studies have revealed that typhoons can affect the ionosphere.This paper uses GNSS observations provided by GNSS tracking stations of Taiwan region,ERA5 gravity wave dissipation products,and Himawari-8 band 07 brightness temperature observation data to analyze the impact of Typhoon Meranti on Taiwan region's ionosphere from September 13 to 15,2016.In addition to the daily effects of traveling ionospheric disturbances(TIDs),TIDs of various intensities caused by Meranti-induced gravity waves were observed during this period,which is inseparable from the state of the typhoon and the topographic features during its progress.The ionospheric disturbance caused by the edge of a typhoon is usually larger than that at the typhoon eye.When the typhoon approached Taiwan region with high intensity on September 14,it was observed that the gravity waves caused by the typhoon had a wavelength of about 174-293 km,a period of 13.5-23.5 min,and a propagation speed of 142-302 m/s.When the vortex structure of a typhoon interacts with complex surfaces such as mountains,it is easier to excite more medium-scale gravity waves.The origin that excites gravity waves and causes ionospheric anomalies is different from the location of the typhoon eye and changes over time.The gravity waves caused by the typhoon lasted for three days in the central mountains of Taiwan region.Still,background wind conditions restricted the propagation of gravity waves from the mesosphere to the thermosphere and led to TID predominantly concentrated between 06:00 and 13:00 UT each day.展开更多
This paper presents an innovative and effective control strategy tailored for a deregulated,diversified energy system involving multiple interconnected area.Each area integrates a unique mix of power generation techno...This paper presents an innovative and effective control strategy tailored for a deregulated,diversified energy system involving multiple interconnected area.Each area integrates a unique mix of power generation technologies:Area 1 combines thermal,hydro,and distributed generation;Area 2 utilizes a blend of thermal units,distributed solar technologies(DST),and hydro power;andThird control area hosts geothermal power station alongside thermal power generation unit and hydropower units.The suggested control system employs a multi-layered approach,featuring a blended methodology utilizing the Tilted Integral Derivative controller(TID)and the Fractional-Order Integral method to enhance performance and stability.The parameters of this hybrid TID-FOI controller are finely tuned using an advanced optimization method known as the Walrus Optimization Algorithm(WaOA).Performance analysis reveals that the combined TID-FOI controller significantly outperforms the TID and PID controllers when comparing their dynamic response across various system configurations.The study also incorporates investigation of redox flow batteries within the broader scope of energy storage applications to assess their impact on system performance.In addition,the research explores the controller’s effectiveness under different power exchange scenarios in a deregulated market,accounting for restrictions on generation ramp rates and governor hysteresis effects in dynamic control.To ensure the reliability and resilience of the presented methodology,the system transitions and develops across a broad range of varying parameters and stochastic load fluctuation.To wrap up,the study offers a pioneering control approach-a hybrid TID-FOI controller optimized via the Walrus Optimization Algorithm(WaOA)-designed for enhanced stability and performance in a complex,three-region hybrid energy system functioning within a deregulated framework.展开更多
In order to improve the seismic performance of adjacent buildings,two types of tuned inerter damper(TID)damping systems for adjacent buildings are proposed,which are composed of springs,inerter devices and dampers in ...In order to improve the seismic performance of adjacent buildings,two types of tuned inerter damper(TID)damping systems for adjacent buildings are proposed,which are composed of springs,inerter devices and dampers in serial or in parallel.The dynamic equations of TID adjacent building damping systems were derived,and the H2 norm criterion was used to optimize and adjust them,so that the system had the optimum damping performance under white noise random excitation.Taking TID frequency ratio and damping ratio as optimization parameters,the optimum analytical solutions of the displacement frequency response of the undamped structure under white noise excitation were obtained.The results showed that compared with the classic TMD,TID could obtain a better damping effect in the adjacent buildings.Comparing the TIDs composed of serial or parallel,it was found that the parallel TIDs had more significant advantages in controlling the peak displacement frequency response,while the H2 norm of the displacement frequency response of the damping system under the coupling of serial TID was smaller.Taking the adjacent building composed of two ten-story frame structures as an example,the displacement and energy collection time history analysis of the adjacent building coupled with the optimum design parameter TIDs were carried out.It was found that TID had a better damping effect in the full-time range compared with the classic TMD.This paper also studied the potential power of TID in adjacent buildings,which can be converted into available power resources during earthquakes.展开更多
It was widely thought that 3 variants of Kunitz type trypsin inhibitor(SBTi A 2) existed in soybean seed storage protein.Three of codominant alleles Ti a,Ti b and Ti c were identified to decode these SBTi A 2 inhibito...It was widely thought that 3 variants of Kunitz type trypsin inhibitor(SBTi A 2) existed in soybean seed storage protein.Three of codominant alleles Ti a,Ti b and Ti c were identified to decode these SBTi A 2 inhibitors and the amino acid sequences of them were determined,of which one or more different amino acid were found.Ti d was a new variant allele of SBTi A 2 discovered after analyzing more than 15 000 samples of soybean seed in China.In order to study the structure features of Ti d protein,the amino acid sequence of this protein was deduced from its coding region which was amplified by PCR from soybean genomic DNA and sequenced.By comparison with Ti a protein,two different amino acid residue were found between Ti a and Ti d proteins.One was an extra Ala inserted in the signal peptide of Ti d,with 8 residues from N terminal,and the other existed in the mature protein,with Glu 69 in Ti a protein turned into Lys 69 in Ti d protein.The amino acid sequence of Ti d mature protein was also different from those of Ti a and Ti b.展开更多
