Under the same basic treatment in both groups, the treatment group (21 cases) was treated with TCM drugs according to its stages and compared with the control group (18 cases, treated with 654-2). The results showed that the microcirculatory cumulative scores were significantly decreased in both groups (P<0.05), but the decrease in the treatment group was more marked (P<0.05). In the treatment group, 15 cases were cured, 3 markedly effective, 2 effective and 1 ineffective; while in the control group, 13 cases were cured, 1 markedly effective and 4 ineffective. Statistically, there is no significant difference between the 2 groups (P>0.05) in therapeutic effects.展开更多

[Methods] A total of 92 patients with AECOPD who came to Nanchong Chinese Medicine Hospital from March 2022 to February 2023 were selected for the study, and the intervention group (TCM nursing based on syndrome differentiation, 46 cases) and the conventional group (basic nursing, 46 cases) were selected for the study, and the pulmonary function and quality of life of the two groups were compared. [Results] Before nursing, there was no significant difference in levels of forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), and percentage of forced expiratory volume in one second to forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC) between the intervention group and conventional group ( P >0.05). After 3 months of nursing, the levels of FVC, FEV1 and FEV1/FVC in the intervention group were higher than those in the conventional group ( P <0.05). Before nursing, there was no significant difference in the scores of health, emotion and social functions between the two groups ( P >0.05). At three months of nursing, the scores of health, emotion, and social functions in the intervention group were higher than those in the conventional group ( P <0.05). [Conclusions] The implementation of TCM nursing based on syndrome differentiation in patients with AECOPD can effectively improve the pulmonary function and quality of life of patients, and has significant clinical implementation value.展开更多

Methods: 35 PATIENTS with AIDS complicated with pulmonary infection in our hospital from April 2016 to April 2021 were selected. The patients treated with western medicine alone were listed as the reference group, and the patients treated with Western medicine combined with TCM syndrome differentiation were listed as the experimental group. 18 cases were included in the experimental group and 17 cases were included in the reference group. The two groups were compared in the quality of clinical outcomes. Results:the effective rate of the experimental group was 88.89%, which exceeded 64.71% in the reference group. There was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Moreover, the quality of life score in the experimental group was higher than that in the reference group, and there was a significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion: in the clinical treatment of AIDS complicated with pulmonary infection, the timely combination of TCM syndrome differentiation treatment can effectively improve the symptoms of patients, shorten the hospitalization period, improve the quality of life after treatment, so it is worthy of clinical application.展开更多

ATCM syndrome, in essence, is a characteristic profile of all clinical manifestations in one patient that can be readily identified by a TCM practitioner. In this article, the authors reviewed the presentations of TCM syndromes in seven common malignancies (liver, lung, gastric, breast, colorectal, pancreatic and esophageal cancers), the objectivity and the standardization of TCM syndrome differentiation, the evaluation of TCM syndrome modeling in cancer research, and syndrome differentiation-guided TCM treatment of cancers. A better understanding of TCM syndrome theory, as well as its potential biologica basis, may contribute greatly to the clinical TCM diagnosis and the treatment of cancer.展开更多

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) syndrome aims to reflect the characteristics of diseases and is the basic principle of TCM treatment of diseases. This study aimed to summarize the distribution pattern of TCM syndromes in patients with hyperlipidemia. Methods: The frequency, characteristics and distribution of all TCM syndromes of 1012 patients with hyperlipidemia were analyzed. Results: The main disease types determined by frequency of 1012 patients included hypertriglyceridemia combined with hypo high-density lipoprotein cholesterolemia (19.76%), hypo high-density lipoprotein cholesterolemia (18.58%), hypercholesterolemia (16.50%), mixed hyperlipidemia (16.40%), and hypertriglyceridemia (15.12%). The distribution of TCM syndromes, in order of frequency, was as follows: Qi-deficiency and blood stasis syndrome (23.52%), liver depression and spleen deficiency (9.88%), syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis (9.29%), phlegm stasis syndrome (7.41%), and syndrome of yang deficiency of spleen and kidney (6.92%). Conclusion: Qi-deficiency and blood stasis syndrome and liver depression and spleen deficiency are the most common TCM syndromes in patients with hyperlipidemia.展开更多

The hemodynamic parameters were monitored. Results: In the CHD patients, 64.9% were differentiated as Qi-Yin deficiency, 67.6% were complicated with phlegm syndrome and 62.2% with blood stasis, suggesting that Qi-deficiency, phlegm and stasis are the basic pathogenetic factors in patients with CABG. Moreover, the peri-operative syndrome was correlated with the condition of coronary artery lesion, heart and lung functions before operation, and the extracorporeal circulation time during the operation. Conclusion: TCM SD conducting in peri-operative stage might be useful in exploring the patterns of syndrome alteration which provided a basis for preventing peri-operative complications and elevating success rate of operation.展开更多

Methods: One hundred patients of CSC were divided into two groups, the TCM group and the control group, and were treated with SDST and western medicine respectively. Results: The total effective rate of the two groups was 98 % and 82 % respectively and their mean cure time 35 ± 7.0 days and 39 ± 8.8 days respectively. Comparison between the two groups showed significant difference (P<0.05), effect in the TCM group was superior to that in the control group. Conclusion: SDST treatment was helpful in curing CSC. Its basic action is to relieve Qi stagnation and blood stasis, which were taken as the basic physiopathologic change of CSC. And the staging therapy could enhance the therapeutic effect in different stages of the disease.展开更多

Each patient was classified according to TCM Syndrome Differentiation as having Cold Syndrome type, Heat Syndrome type, severe blood stasis (SBS) type, and mild blood stasis (MBS) type of UAP. Garlicin 60 mg or nitroglycerin 5 mg was given to the two groups respectively by intravenous drip for 10days as one therapeutic course. The curative effect was evaluated by symptomatic changes and electrocardiogram. The effective rates as well as indexes such as blood lipid, lipoprotein, apolipoprotein, and granule membrane protein-140 (GMP-140) were compared between groups and types. Results: Garlicin and nitroglycerin group did not differ significantly in effective rate, while that of Garlicin group was higher for the Cold Syndrome type than that of Heat Syndrome type (P < 0. 01 ). The high density lipoprotein/low density lipoprotein ratio and apolipoprotein A- I level rose markedly in the former type (P < 0. 05), while an opposite trend was seen in the Heat Syndrome type. Garlicin was more effective in the SBS type than that in the MBS type, and it markedly decreased GMP-140 in the MBS type. Conclusions: Garlicin is effective in UAP, especially the Cold Syndrome and SBS types. Its mechanism may involve improving blood lipid levels and inhibiting platelet activation.展开更多
