The cultivation of new quality talents has become a strategic need for national development.STEM education and intelligent technology are crucial in fostering the high-quality development of these talents.However,effectively integrating intelligent technology with STEM education to enhance students‘comprehensive abilities is a significant challenge for educators.This paper explores how STEM education can empower the development of new quality talents in the digital intelligence era,delves into the essence of interdisciplinary integration driven by intelligent technology,and provides an in-depth analysis of the development landscape and implementation paths of intelligent technology in STEM education.The study finds that intelligent technology can significantly boost students’interest in learning,innovation capabilities,and problem-solving skills.However,it also highlights issues such as inadequate top-level design,teacher professional development,evaluation system improvement,and data security protection.Based on these findings,the paper proposes targeted strategies to provide more effective practical pathways for the interdisciplinary integration of STEM education. 展开更多

To better clarify the impact of the integration of education,science and technology,and talent on the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in universities,this study adopts the fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative... To better clarify the impact of the integration of education,science and technology,and talent on the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in universities,this study adopts the fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis(fsQCA)method.Using 23 universities in China as the research sample,the findings reveal that:(1)none of the three individual factors,education,science and technology,or talent can independently constitute either a necessary or sufficient condition for high-quality cultivation of top-notch innovative talents;(2)the sufficient condition for achieving high-quality cultivation lies in specific configurations of multiple condition variables;(3)five configurations were identified,from which three distinct paths toward achieving high-quality cultivation were derived.Accordingly,different universities can,based on their own resource endowments and local contexts,select appropriate cultivation paths to effectively enhance the quality of top-notch innovative talent training. 展开更多

Under the current medical education reform,the“clinical-research”model for TCM master’s degrees is a key approach to advancing the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.With the core of“dual-track integration,”this model aims to enhance both clinical practice and research abilities simultaneously.However,ten years of practice have shown that it still faces multiple challenges:an imbalance between clinical rotation time and research investment,deeply rooted attitudes that prioritize clinical work over research,insufficient TCM research resources and fragmented platforms,and poor coordination between policy and teaching design.These issues,particularly the methodological differences between TCM experience-based medicine and modern evidence-based medicine,further complicate the integration of clinical and research efforts.Therefore,there is an urgent need to promote the deep integration of research training into clinical practice through system design,value orientation,and evaluation systems,fostering a new ecological environment where clinical and research efforts thrive together.This will help cultivate TCM professionals with both strong clinical skills and innovative research capabilities,providing sustained momentum for the high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine. 展开更多

Influence mechanism of the flow of high-skilled talents on technological evolution in emerging countries

Current research on transnational talent flow mainly focuses on the destination countries, ... Globalization has resulted in a notable rise in the flow of high-skilled talent from emerging countries to developed nations. Current research on transnational talent flow mainly focuses on the destination countries, with less attention given to the perspective of the sending countries, particularly lacking a dynamic discussion on its impact on technological evolution in the origin countries. Based on the OECD REGPAT database, this paper aims to explore how talent groups migrating to developed countries facilitate the return of knowledge and technology to emerging countries and achieve breakthroughs in their technological evolution paths, while further discussing the potential mechanisms involved. The findings of this paper are as follows:(1) The technological development of emerging countries is a path-dependent process, where countries often branch into new technologies related to their preexisting knowledge base. Consequently, knowledge feedback from high-skilled talents increases the likelihood of sending countries developing unrelated technologies.(2) The mobility of talents across borders fosters more international collaborations and citations for patents that are unrelated to the local knowledge base, thus enriching the technological paths of sending countries.(3) The mobility of high-skilled talents primarily affects complex technologies, which have significant economic effects that encourage imitation by other countries.However, the effect on novel technologies is less significant due to their strong geographical stickiness. In general, this paper addresses the gaps in existing research on talent outflow and the technological evolution of origin countries, providing empirical evidence for the positive role of transnational talent mobility in the technological catch-up of emerging nations.Besides, it offers recommendations for talent export, import, and innovation policy formulation in these countries. 展开更多
