Pharmaceutical inspectors in Poland play a key role in regulating the industry,but concerns about abuse of power,bribery,and ties to organized crime undermine public trust and safety.The purpose of the study was to de...Pharmaceutical inspectors in Poland play a key role in regulating the industry,but concerns about abuse of power,bribery,and ties to organized crime undermine public trust and safety.The purpose of the study was to determine the offenses committed by pharmaceutical inspectors in Poland,as well as their possible connection with the so-called“drug mafia.”The study included legislative acts from Poland and the EU,empirical data from judicial and administrative proceedings,and a comparison approach.It also required legal analysis to organize case information systematically.The research revealed widespread misconduct among pharmaceutical inspectors in Poland,encompassing selective reference of legal precedents,fabricated inspections,and intimidation of pharmacy proprietors.Results revealed patterns of corruption,with certain inspectors purportedly conspiring with organized criminal syndicates,exploiting regulatory gaps,and implementing uneven enforcement practices.A comparative examination of Romania,Bulgaria,and Germany showed deficiencies in Poland’s regulatory control,especially regarding openness,enforcement measures,and rights for whistleblowers.The research underscored the necessity for legal changes,digital monitoring measures,and strengthened international collaboration to address regulatory corruption,prevent drug trafficking,and promote the integrity of the pharmaceutical industry.A comparative analysis showed that in other European countries,in particular in Western Europe,similar violations occur less often,which indicates a more effective system of supervision and responsibility.The research findings confirm the importance of improving pharmaceutical legislation in Poland and strengthening control over the activities of pharmaceutical inspectors.展开更多
