This article is devoted to the research of the mechanisms of suggestive influence represented in professional layers–prosecutors and attorneys–speech within the English law discourse on the material of a particular witness examination part of the court procedure.Some basic suggestive strategies and tactics used in this step and brief characteristics of their intentiality and ways of representation are presented.It is stated that suggestion as a means of persuasion and manipulation on a psyche is possible only due to the existence of a certain mechanism which gives a person an opportunity to perceive the suggested influences and reflect them.The authors suppose that the analysis of an effective manipulation of professional opponents–a plaintiff and a defendant(some basic suggestive-psychological algorithms used at the opening statement as well as suggestive strategies,tactics and methods applied)might considerably enhance the perspectives of studying characteristic features of law discourse thus allowing to get closer to the understanding of how a person’s brain works as well as the nature of consciousness and subconsciousness together with the anthropocentric approach aimed at realization of manipulation/suggestion within the situation of an institutional communication. 展开更多

To understand the smoke level and NO_(x)emission characteristics of in-use construction machinery in Beijing,we selected 905 construction machines in Beijing from August 2022 to April 2023 to monitor the emission level of smoke and NO_(x).The exhaust smoke level and excessive emission situation of different machinery types were identified,and their NO_(x)emission levels were monitored according to the free acceleration method.We investigated the correlation of NO_(x)and smoke emission,and proposed suggestions for controlling pollution discharge from construction machinery in the future.The results show that the exhaust smoke level was 0–2.62 m^(−1),followed a log-normal distribution(μ=-1.73,δ=1.09,R^(2)=0.99),with a 5.64%exceedance rate.Differenceswere observed amongmachinery types,with low-power engine forklifts showing higher smoke levels.The NO_(x)emission range was 71–1516 ppm,followed a normal distribution(μ=565.54,δ=309.51,R^(2)=0.83).Differences among machinery types were relatively small.Engine rated net power had the most significant impact on NO_(x)emissions.Thus,NO_(x)emissions from construction machinery need further attention.Furthermore,we found a weak negative correlation(p<0.05)between the emission level of smoke and NO_(x),that is the synergic emission reduction effect is poor,emphasizing the need for NO_(x)emission limits.In the future,the oversight in Beijing should prioritize phasing out ChinaⅠand ChinaⅡmachinery,and monitor emissions from highpower engine ChinaⅢmachinery. 展开更多

The digital economy has injected continuous momentum into the development of urban economy and plays a positive and important role in the transformation and upgrading of urban energy consumption.Specifically,the digital economy can significantly improve the efficiency of urban energy consumption by virtue of its distinctive characteristics of low pollution and high efficiency.Moreover,empowered by the digital economy,the pace of transformation and upgrading of high-pollution traditional industries has been accelerated.Particularly importantly,the urban energy consumption structure has been optimized and adjusted through the indirect role of intermediate factors.From this perspective,studying the current situation and countermeasures of urban energy consumption under the digital economy holds important practical significance both in theory and practice.This paper first briefly summarizes the relevant literature on the impact of the digital economy on the energy consumption structure;then,it focuses on detailed data to explore the current situation of urban energy consumption under the digital economy model;finally,based on the summary of the current situation,it puts forward practical and feasible suggestions,hoping to provide a decision-making basis for the implementation of policies in different types of cities and offer innovative ideas for promoting the high-quality development of urban energy systems. 展开更多

Effects of suggestion therapy on mood and sleep quality in middleaged women with depression

BACKGROUND Depression is one of the most common mental disorders,with high rates of disability,particularly among women.AIM To explore the effects of suggestion therapy on anxiety,mood,and sleep-quality in middle-aged women with depression treated with escitalopram.METHODS Overall,102 female patients with depression aged 35-49 years were divided into control and experimental groups.The control group received oral escitalopram therapy,starting at a dose of 5 mg/day,which was gradually increased to 10-20 mg/day after 1 week for a total of 8 weeks.The experimental group received the suggested therapy based on the control group.The Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Profile of Mood States-Short Form,and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)were used to assess depression,anxiety,mood status,and sleep quality.RESULTS Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the SDS,SAS,Profile of Mood States,and PSQI scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,compared to the control group and baseline,the SDS,SAS,tension-anxiety,depression-dejection,and confusion-bewilderment scores in the experimental group significantly decreased(P<0.05),whereas sleep efficiency,sleep disturbance,hypnotics,and PSQI scores significantly increased(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Suggestion therapy combined with escitalopram treatment can reduce the severity of depression and anxiety,change mood status,and improve sleep quality in middle-aged women with depression. 展开更多

Objective To explore the current state of biopharmaceutical innovation in Africa by analyzing patent data related to biopharmaceutical products in African countries.Methods Based on patent data,simple descriptive statistical methods were used to analyze the trend of patent applications,the geographical distribution of patents,and the distribution of applicants in the pharmaceutical field in Africa.Besides,Excel software was used to draw charts to visualize statistical information.Results and Conclusion According to the result,a large number of patents has been granted in these countries and the number is steadily rising each year.From the figure below,we can see that the largest number of patents was granted to Morocco in 2014 with a total number of 613 patents followed by Tunisia with 315 patents,the African Intellectual Property Organization(OAPI)with 124 patents,South Africa with 106 and Mozambique with 1 patent based on data availability(IncoPat Global Patent Search Database).It was observed that,as patents were granted,the number of applications filed on this continent increased.The largest number of patents has been recorded by Morocco,Tunisia and South Africa.Patent applications in Morocco increased fast with an average annual growth of 7.3%.The increase in patent applications is due to improved research infrastructure and enhanced research activities,which shows the importance of biopharmaceutical innovation in the continent. 展开更多

Under the background of resource shortage and global warming,it is of great significance to explore the status,influencing factors and carbon emission reduction effect of waste recycling in China after the implementation of new waste classification policy for guiding waste classification and carbon emission accounting.In this research,the temporal and spatial changes and influencing factors of waste recycling were studied from subdistrict level,life-cycle carbon emission reduction was predicted and policy suggestions for waste recycling were proposed.The results showed that after the implementation of new waste classification policy,the amount of recycled waste and the proportion of low-value recycled waste increased by 420.93 t and 2.29%per month on average,respectively.The district center has the largest amount of recycled waste.Income was the main factors affecting waste recycling,and online shopping and takeout could become important sources of recyclable waste.Accounting cradle-to-grave life cycle carbon footprint,waste plastics takes up the most contribution,accounting for 39.11%,and nearly 391.68 Mt CO_(2eq) would be reduced by waste recycling in China by 2030.Therefore,in the process of waste classification,refining waste classification to increase the amount of low-value recyclables,and rationally deploying collection and transportation vehicles to ensure efficient waste recycling are of great significance to achieve the goal of“carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”. 展开更多

The integrated simulation and optimization technology of reservoir-wellbore-pipe network is developed to reflect the mutual influence and restriction among reservoir engineering,oil production engineering and surface engineering,and to obtain the scheme with minimum conflict and optimal benefit in each step.This technology is based on the concept of global optimization to maximize production and profit,reduce costs and increase benefit.This paper elaborates the current situation of integrated simulation technology of reservoir-wellbore-pipe network both at home and abroad,discusses its correlation with the primary business of Sinopec and its development from three aspects of modeling,cloud platform and intellectualization.Suggestions on its future development are put forward from underlying data,software platform,popularization and application,and cross-border integration to provide means and guidance for the construction of intelligent oil and gas fields.The results show that the integrated simulation of reservoir-wellbore-pipe network can better reflect the optimization requirements of each step,avoid the ineffective operation of field equipment,and effectively improve the efficiency of research and management.Coupling solution,global optimization method and pressure fitting,which can make the simulation results reflect the real situation,are the key technologies for the network.The theoretical technology and main function research of integrated simulation technology have been mature,but the large-scale application and local function improvement of oil and gas fields are yet to be promoted.In the future,the integrated simulation of reservoir-wellbore-pipe network will develop from digitalization to modeling and intellectualization,from local simulation to cloud computing,and from manual intervention to intelligent decision-making.We suggest speeding up the construction of the unified database and model base of the whole underlying platform,strengthening the construction of software integration and integration platform with independent intellectual property rights,speeding up the popularization and application of intelligent oil and gas field demonstration projects,and strengthening the integration of oil and gas industry with artificial intelligence(AI),big data and block chain for its development. 展开更多

Based on the inheritance and development of Zhuang medicine culture from the perspective of a comprehensive well-off society,traditional Chinese medicine is a treasure of Chinese civilization.The inheritance,innovation,and development of traditional Chinese medicine are crucial to the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.By engaging young people,reducing the aging of the medical team,and understanding the views and suggestions of various groups on Zhuang medicine culture,questionnaire surveys,field interviews,literature searches,and other methods were employed to gather and analyze public opinions and suggestions on Zhuang medicine.Additionally,online consultations were conducted to assess the popularity of Zhuang medicine and identify existing problems.Based on these findings,recommendations and strategies for improvement were formulated.Furthermore,the design of an online consultation app is proposed to enhance the role and effectiveness of Zhuang medicine’s inheritance and development. 展开更多
