[Objectives]To study the antioxidant and hypoglycemic effects of different parts of Ardisia gigantifolia Stapf.[Methods]The hydroxyl radical scavenging activity,DPPH radical scavenging activity and total antioxidant capacity of ABTS of 75%ethanol extract of A.gigantifolia Stapf and the petroleum ether,ethyl acetate,n-butanol,chloroform and aqueous extract were measured with Vc as positive control.At the same time,acarbose was used as reference substance to determine the inhibitory effect of each polar site onα-glucosidase.[Results]All parts of A.gigantifolia Stapf had antioxidant activity,among which ethyl acetate had the strongest antioxidant activity,and the scavenging rate of hydroxyl radical and DPPH radical was higher than that of positive control.The results showed that petroleum ether,ethyl acetate and chloroform had a good inhibitory effect onα-glucosidase(better than acarbose).[Conclusions]The ethyl acetate part of A.gigantifolia Stapf had the best antioxidant activity and inhibitory effect onα-glucosidase.It provides a basis for further research and development of A.gigantifolia Stapf. 展开更多

Objective:To understand the attitudes and perceptions of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)practitioners in Beijing TCM hospitals regarding the use of Ephedra sinica Stapf(E.sinica,Ma Huang).Methods:A two-stage cross-sectional study was conducted using a questionnaire survey of TCM practi-tioners in Beijing TCM hospitals between April 2023 and March 2024.The questionnaire included de-mographic information,the clinical background of TCM practitioners,and the clinical application of E.sinica.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the relevant influencing factors when using E.sinica.Results:Of the 465 questionnaires collected,441 were valid.Among these,84.81%(374/441)reported having used E.sinica in clinical practice at least once.The commonly used doses of E.sinicadexcluding the pediatric departmentdwere 10 g for high doses,6 g for medium,and 3 g for low.The three most frequently used formulas for E.sinica included Maxing Shigan decoction,Mahuang decoction,and Xiao Qing Long decoction.The most common TCM patterns treated with a high dose of E.sinica were wind-cold exterior pattern,wind-cold invading the lung,and wind and water combat with meridians con-gealed by cold.The top three Western medical diagnoses when using E.sinica for treatment were common cold,pneumonia,and upper respiratory tract infections.Nearly half of the respondents reported experiencing adverse reactions from the oral administration of E.sinica,with the most common being palpitations,insomnia,and restlessness.Starting with a low dose and gradually increasing it as appro-priate was identified as an effective approach.Conclusion:This study investigated the attitudes and perceptions of TCM practitioners in Beijing TCM hospitals regarding the doseeefficacyeadverse reaction relationship of E.sinica,providing a reference for the safe and effective clinical use of E.sinica. 展开更多

Cymbopogon citratus is a widely distributed perennial herb belonging to the Poaceae family and has been extensively consumed for its medicinal,cosmetic,and nutritional effects for centuries.A large number of reports have been published describing the pharmacological,biological,and therapeutic actions of this herb.In this review,we summarized the literatures on related studies(up to January,2014) that highlighted the pharmacologic and biological effects of the major phytochemicals isolated from C.citratus extracts and its essential oil.The components of the essential oils found in C.citratus have a similar pharmacokinetic properties,including absorption,distribution,metabolism,and excretion.They are quickly absorbed following oral,pulmonary,and dermal administration.Based on the published reports,it can also be inferred that,after absorption from the small intestine,some phytochemicals in C.citratus can undergo oxidation,glucuronidation,sulfation,and/or O-methylation.Excretion is through urine,feces and/or expired volatiles.The biotransformation reactions of C.citratus bioactive constituents are essential for its relatively safe consumption and therapeutic applications.The data available so far warrant further studies evaluating C.citratus pharmacokinetics.Reliable pharmacokinetic data in humans would be critical for a better understanding of the the systemic handling of C.citratus. 展开更多

Two polysaccharides (ESP-A1 and ESP-A2) were isolated from the cold water extract of Ephedra sinica Stapf and purified through ethanol precipitation, deproteinization and by ion exchange and gel-filtration chromatography. Their molecular weight was determined using high performance size exclusion chromatog-raphy and evaporative light scattering detector (HPSEC-ELSD) and their monosaccharide composition was analyzed by high performance capillary electrophoresis (HPCE) based on pre-column derivatization with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone (PMP). It was shown that ESP-A1 consisted of xylose, arabinose, glucose, mannose and galactose and ESP-A2 consisted of xylose, arabinose, rhamnose and galactose, in a molar ratio (%) of 3.2: 61.1: 11.1: 12.9: 11.6 and 20.6: 67.7: 5.0: 6.7, respectively. The molecular weights (Mw) of ESP-A1 and ESP-A2 were 5.83 × 104 Da and more than 200 × 104 Da, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, two neutral polysaccharides are now being reported for the first time in this study. 展开更多

[Objectives] To screen out the anti-inflammatory and analgesic parts of Ardisia gigantifolia stapf.and to explore the toxicological safety of each part.[Methods]The carrageenan-induced toe swelling experiment of mice,acetic acid-induced peritoneal capillary permeability experiment,pain writhing test,and mouse maximum tolerated dose experiment were carried out.Taking mouse toe swelling,capillary permeability,pain writhing reaction times,and animal death number as indicators,anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects were screened and toxicological safety was evaluated for petroleum ether,ethyl acetate,n-butanol and water parts of A.gigantifolia.[Results] The petroleum ether part of A.gigantifolia can significantly reduce the degree of carrageenan-induced toe swelling of(P < 0.05),significantly inhibit the glacial acetic acid induced capillary permeability of mice(P < 0.05) and the times of pain writhing of mice(P < 0.01),no death was observed in each group after 150-fold of clinical equivalent dose administration,and no abnormality was observed in body weight and tissues of mice.[Conclusions]The petroleum ether part of A.gigantifolia is active part of anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect,and each part is low in toxicological safety. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of Cymbopogon citratus Stapf water extract on lipid profile and antioxidant status in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats.METHODS Diabetes was induced by injection of streptozotocin(STZ,50mg·kg-1)intraperitoneally.Diabetic rats were divided into 5groups,consisting of 6rats.GroupⅠ,reserved as diabetic control,was administered distilled water and groupⅡ,reserved as positive control,was administered glibenclamide(10mg·kg-1·d-1)throughout the duration of the experiment.Those in groupⅢ,ⅣandⅤ were administered 250,500 and 1000mg·kg-1·d-1 of the extract,respectively for 28 d.RESULTS Treatment with 500 and 1000mg·kg-1·d-1 of the extract resulted in reduction of serum AST,ALT,serum cholesterol,triglycerides and LDL,whereas HDL was found to be increased compared with diabetic control rats(P<0.05).Moreover,increased serum activities of superoxide dismutases and catalase were found in diabetic rats treated with the extract whereas serum thiobarbituric acid reactive substance was decreased,in comparison with diabetic control rat(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Cymbopogon citratus Stapf water extract provides a benefit effect on serum lipid and antioxidant effect in diabetic rats.Thus,the extract may lower cardiovascular disease risk and others complications related to hyperlipidemia and oxidative stress in diabetic patients. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of Cymbopogon citratus Stapf water extract(CCS)on lipid profile,atherogenic index and antioxidant enzymes in Sprague-Dawley rats.METHODS Rats aged eight weeks(250±20)g were orally administered with CCS at 250 and 500mg·kg-1·d-1 for one month.RESULTS Administration of CCS extract to rats caused significant decrease of serum total cholesterol,triglycerides and LDL levels,whereas,the HDL level was increased compared with untreated rats(P<0.05).Moreover,the CCS extract showed a significant decreased atherogenic index in comparison with untreated rats(P<0.05).Furthermore,serum activities of superoxide dismutases and catalase were also improved in rats treated with CCS.This was consistent with decrease of serum thiobarbituric acid reactive substance.CONCLUSION The present study provides evidence that CCS water extract provides a benefit effect on serum lipid and atherogenic index and exhibits antioxidant effect in vivo. 展开更多

Lemon grass(Cymbopogon citratus Stapf) is a popular alternative to western medicines for a number of conditions, including fevers,muscle soreness and superficial infections in Nigeria.In addition to its already reported suppressive effects against P.berghei infection,this study sought to determine its repository and blood schizonticidal activities in established P.berghei infection using Swiss albino mice as models.Mice weighing on average, between 15 and 25g were given 103mg/kg,155mg/kg and 310mg/kg/day of the crude aqueous extract of cymbopogon citratus stapf,in the 4-day test,24-hour Rane test and 72-hour Rane test.The effects of these doses of the extract were then compared with chloroquine(5mg/kg/day) and sulphadoxine/pyrimethamine (3mg/kg/day).We report an average percentage suppressive repository activity of 65.8%for the extract at a dose of 310mg/kg and a blood schizonticidal activity that increased from 68.33%in the 24-hour Rane test to 92%in the 72-hour Rane test for the same dose of extract.The crude aqueous extract of C.citratus stapf thus has significant repository and blood schizonticidal activities against established P.berghei infection in Swiss albino mice compare to that of pyrimethamine and sulphadoxine/pyrimethamine respectively. 展开更多

Inhibiting Effect and Mechanism of Aconitum tanguticum(Maxim.) Stapf on Intestinal Fibrosis of CCD-18Co Cells

Methods: Network pharmacology was used t... Objective: The objective of the study was to explore the potential signaling mechanism of Aconitum tanguticum(Maxim.) Stapf(ATS) and its impact on intestinal fibrosis in vitro. Methods: Network pharmacology was used to screen the active components of ATS and predict their potential targets in intestinal fibrosis. The protein–protein interaction network graph was constructed using drug–disease intersection targets retrieved from the Search Tool for Retrieval of Interacting Genes/Proteins database. The network diagram was analyzed using Cytoscape 3.6.1'stopology function. The gene ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analyses were conducted using the database for annotation, visualization, and integrated discovery platform. Intestinal fibroblast model in vitro was constructed using transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)-induced CCD-18Co cells. Quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)was used to verify the network pharmacology-predicted antifibrotic signaling pathway of ATS and the traditional antifibrotic signaling pathway. Results: Network pharmacology revealed that there were 19 active components in ATS, suggesting that ATS could be involved in the regulation of mitogen-activated protein kinase 1(MAPK1), PIK3CA, MAPK3, and other important targets that are present in cancer pathways, including proteoglycans, infiuenza A, and phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase(PI3K)-protein kinase B(Akt) signaling pathways. The results of quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR) demonstrated that 0.1–1 μg/mL ATS may suppress tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1, collagen I, and alpha-smooth muscle actin expression levels. The expression of the TGF-β/suppressor of the mother against decapentaplegic(Smad) and PI3K/Akt signaling pathways was controlled by ATS. In addition, ATS inhibited the PI3K/Akt pathway by reducing the expression of MAPK1, HSP90AA1, and PIK3CA. Conclusions: It has been confirmed that ATS is a multipathway and multitarget treatment for intestinal fibrosis. This study suggested that ATS might alleviate intestinal fibrosis by blocking both the TGF-β/Smad and the PI3K/Akt pathway. 展开更多

目的:基于中药的升降浮沉理论,进行三种麻黄对风水水肿大鼠模型作用比较;通过对其主要药性组分生物碱和多糖的分析,探讨三种麻黄的功效和物质基础,为临床用药提供参考依据。方法:尾静脉注射阿霉素结合吹风刺激建立风水水肿模型。造模成... 目的:基于中药的升降浮沉理论,进行三种麻黄对风水水肿大鼠模型作用比较;通过对其主要药性组分生物碱和多糖的分析,探讨三种麻黄的功效和物质基础,为临床用药提供参考依据。方法:尾静脉注射阿霉素结合吹风刺激建立风水水肿模型。造模成功后,三种麻黄4.68 g/kg水煎液分别连续灌胃给药21 d,观察大鼠的基本状态、体质量、尿量、汗点以及肾损伤模型评价指标;检测大鼠的呼吸系统(咳嗽潜伏期、咳嗽次数、肺泡灌洗液的炎性因子、肺病理切片)、中枢神经系统(自主活动、旷场实验、睡眠时间)、循环系统(心功能)、消化系统(胃残留率、胃排空率、小肠推进率、胃动素、胃泌素)的各项指标;高效液相色谱(HPLC)法测定三种麻黄中不同生物碱与单糖含量;苯酚-硫酸法测定多糖含量。结果:三种麻黄4.68 g/kg水煎液可有效改善风水水肿大鼠的肾损伤,其中草麻黄作用为最佳;在对呼吸系统、中枢神经系统与循环系统影响中,以草麻黄作用最佳;三种麻黄对消化系统有一定的抑制作用,其中以草麻黄作用最为明显;在对生物碱、多糖与单糖的含量测定中,草麻黄的生物碱含量最高,木贼麻黄多糖与单糖含量最高。结论:三种麻黄对风水水肿大鼠模型均有一定的治疗作用,并且药性偏升浮,草麻黄效果最佳,三种麻黄的功效可能与生物碱与多糖的含量相关,生物碱可归属为升浮药性,多糖则为沉降药性。 展开更多

目的探究草麻黄Ephedra sinica中一种鞣质化合物2β,3β-epoxyfavan-5,7,4′-triol-(4α→8)-epiafzelechin(Ete)对卵清白蛋白(ovalbumin,OVA)致敏哮喘小鼠的干预作用,为丰富麻黄抗哮喘的研究以及拓展麻黄临床应用提供实验依据。方法SP... 目的探究草麻黄Ephedra sinica中一种鞣质化合物2β,3β-epoxyfavan-5,7,4′-triol-(4α→8)-epiafzelechin(Ete)对卵清白蛋白(ovalbumin,OVA)致敏哮喘小鼠的干预作用,为丰富麻黄抗哮喘的研究以及拓展麻黄临床应用提供实验依据。方法SPF级雌性BALB/c小鼠适应性喂养1周,随机分为对照组、模型组、阳性对照药孟鲁司特钠(1.314 mg/kg)组和Ete低、高剂量(10、20 mg/kg)组,采用ip OVA与Al2(OH)3混悬液联合OVA雾化激发的方法建立哮喘小鼠模型,持续给药1周。通过检测小鼠咳嗽和喘息次数、气道高反应性、血清免疫球蛋白E(immunoglobulin E,IgE)以及小鼠肺部组织病理变化初步评价Ete抗OVA致敏哮喘的药效;多指标流式联合分析系统检测与哮喘密切相关的因子水平;流式细胞术检测小鼠肺组织活性氧、凋亡和钙离子水平以及小鼠机体免疫细胞(树突状细胞、嗜酸性粒细胞和肥大细胞)水平;ELISA检测小鼠血清白三烯C4(leukotrienes C4,LTC4)、组胺(histamine,HIS)、β-肥大细胞类胰蛋白酶(β-mast cell tryptase,MCT-β)水平;Western blotting检测肺组织中转化生长因子-β1(transforming growth factor-β1,TGF-β1)、Smad3、MUC5AC和表皮生长因子受体(epidermal growth factor receptor,EGFR)蛋白表达水平。结果与模型组比较,Ete显著抑制哮喘小鼠气道高反应性,降低血清IgE水平(P<0.01),减少咳、喘次数,延长咳、喘潜伏时间(P<0.05、0.01),降低血清中IL-13、TNF-α、CCL11水平(P<0.05、0.01),升高IL-10水平(P<0.05),降低肺组织中活性氧、凋亡、树突状细胞和嗜酸性粒细胞水平(P<0.05、0.01),降低肥大细胞及其脱颗粒过程关键介质LTC4、HIS、MCT-β和MCP-1的水平(P<0.05、0.01),降低黏液分泌相关蛋白TGF-β1、Smad3、EGFR和MUC5AC的水平(P<0.05、0.01)。结论草麻黄中一种鞣质化合物Ete通过抑制肥大细胞活化和黏液蛋白分泌来改善OVA诱导的小鼠过敏性哮喘。 展开更多

叉叶蓝(Deinanthe caerulea Stapf.)是中国特有珍稀植物,其分布区狭窄、数量稀少而长期被研究者忽视,致其濒危原因尚不明晰。对叉叶蓝的生活史全过程采用野外调查监测、人工授粉实验、种子萌发实验等方法对其生活史开花物候、传粉结实... 叉叶蓝(Deinanthe caerulea Stapf.)是中国特有珍稀植物,其分布区狭窄、数量稀少而长期被研究者忽视,致其濒危原因尚不明晰。对叉叶蓝的生活史全过程采用野外调查监测、人工授粉实验、种子萌发实验等方法对其生活史开花物候、传粉结实、种子萌发生理、幼苗更新、营养生长中的外部干扰进行研究,并从分子层面探究其遗传多样性状况,找到导致其濒危的关键环节和关键因子及作用机理,揭示叉叶蓝濒危的机制,为叉叶蓝的保护和恢复工作提供理论依据和科学指导。对叉叶蓝种群致濒因子的研究结果如下:(1)叉叶蓝遗传多样性水平较低,物种的Shannon′s多样性指数和Nei′s基因多样性指数分别为0.190和0.123;群体间基因流Nm仅为0.403,种群间的基因流较小。(2)叉叶蓝是虫媒传粉,异交型,具有自交亲和性,叉叶蓝传粉过程存在一定的花粉限制。(3)叉叶蓝种子存在30.26%的败育率,造成了一定有效活力种子的损耗,其种子萌发条件极苛刻,仅在理想条件下(25℃/15℃,光照强度3000lx)萌发率能达到68.89%,野外幼苗存活率仅为12.56%,种群表现出较高的苗期死亡率。由于人为干扰导致叉叶蓝的生境丧失、破碎化,地理隔离加之叉叶蓝传粉的自交亲和性,致使种群基因流受阻,遗传多样性下降,这是叉叶蓝濒危的最重要原因。在叉叶蓝生活史全过程因存在生殖障碍和生长限制因子导致不断有大量损耗,更加剧了其濒危的程度。 展开更多

目的研究草麻黄Ephedra sinica根中的活性成分,并对其进行活性评价。方法采用硅胶和Sephadex LH-20柱色谱及高效液相进行分离纯化,利用核磁共振、质谱、旋光等谱学技术对化合物进行结构鉴定。选用缺氧诱导建立肺动脉平滑肌细胞恶性增殖... 目的研究草麻黄Ephedra sinica根中的活性成分,并对其进行活性评价。方法采用硅胶和Sephadex LH-20柱色谱及高效液相进行分离纯化,利用核磁共振、质谱、旋光等谱学技术对化合物进行结构鉴定。选用缺氧诱导建立肺动脉平滑肌细胞恶性增殖模型进行化合物活性筛选。结果从草麻黄根的95%乙醇提取物中分离得到10个化合物,分别鉴定为7-methoxy-6-methyl-1-naphthoic acid(1)、对二苯酚(2)、对羟基苯甲酸乙酯(3)、原儿茶酸甲酯(4)、原儿茶酸乙酯(5)、苯甲酸(6)、脱氢姜酮(7)、4-氧甲基肉桂酸(8)、3-hydroxy-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)propan-1-one(9)、4-羟基-3,5-二甲氧基苯甲醛(10)。结论化合物1为新的萘类化合物,命名为麻黄根酚H;化合物2~9为首次从草麻黄根中分离得到,化合物5、7为首次从麻黄属植物中分离得到。化合物1~9能显著抑制肺动脉平滑肌细胞的异常增殖。 展开更多

目的探讨草麻黄水提物的雌激素样活性及免疫调节作用。方法选取3周龄SPF级雌性KM小鼠40只,将其分为正常组,阳性药组,草麻黄低、高剂量组,每组10只。正常组给予等量的蒸馏水,阳性药组给予戊酸雌二醇0.33 mg/(kg·d),草麻黄低、高剂... 目的探讨草麻黄水提物的雌激素样活性及免疫调节作用。方法选取3周龄SPF级雌性KM小鼠40只,将其分为正常组,阳性药组,草麻黄低、高剂量组,每组10只。正常组给予等量的蒸馏水,阳性药组给予戊酸雌二醇0.33 mg/(kg·d),草麻黄低、高剂量组分别给予2330、4670 mg/(kg·d)的草麻黄水提物,1次/d,连续灌胃7 d。比较各组子宫系数;苏木精-伊红染色观察各组子宫组织形态学;免疫组织化学染色法检测子宫组织中雌激素受体(ER)α、ERβ、G蛋白偶联受体30(GPR30)蛋白阳性表达;Western blot法检测子宫组织ERα、ERβ、GPR30蛋白表达;流式细胞术检测脾脏及外周血中髓源性抑制细胞(MDSC)、自然杀伤(NK)细胞、Treg细胞、Th细胞及Tc细胞水平。结果与正常组比较,草麻黄高剂量组子宫系数升高(P<0.01);草麻黄低剂量组与正常组子宫系数比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。正常组子宫上皮呈单层柱状,腺体数量较少,散在分布;草麻黄低剂量组子宫上皮呈单层柱状,子宫腔狭窄,腺体散在分布;草麻黄高剂量组子宫内膜增厚,腺体数目较多,分布紧密。与正常组比较,草麻黄高剂量组小鼠子宫组织中ERα、ERβ、GPR30蛋白阳性表达升高(P<0.05或P<0.01);草麻黄低剂量组与正常组ERα、ERβ、GPR30蛋白阳性表达比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。与正常组比较,草麻黄低剂量小鼠子宫组织中GPR30蛋白表达水平升高(P<0.05),草麻黄高剂量组ERα、ERβ、GPR3蛋白表达水平升高(P<0.05或P<0.01)。与正常组比较,草麻黄低剂量组外周血中Treg细胞升高,NK细胞、Tc细胞水平降低(P<0.01);草麻黄高剂量组外周血中MDSC、Treg细胞水平升高,NK细胞、Tc细胞水平降低(P<0.05或P<0.01)。与正常组比较,草麻黄低剂量组脾脏中Treg细胞水平升高,NK细胞水平降低(P<0.01);草麻黄高剂量组脾脏中MDSC、Treg细胞水平升高,NK细胞、Th细胞、Tc细胞水平降低(P<0.05或P<0.01)。结论草麻黄水提物具有雌激素样活性及免疫调节作用。 展开更多
