Based on acid rain data from ten monitoring sites in Guangxi from 2003 to 2009,the temporal and spatial distribution characteristic of acid rain in Guangxi were analyzed by means of empirical orthogonal function resolution(EOF).The results showed that there was fluctuating change of acid rain frequency in Guangxi,and acid rain pollution became severer in 2004-2008;acid rain frequency changed conformably in the whole region and it was obviously higher in eastern and northwestern Guangxi,while acid rain pollution became severe in western Guangxi;acid rain frequency varied out of phase between northeastern and southwestern Guangxi in an individual year. 展开更多

With a focus on the difficulty of quantitatively describing the degree of nonuniformity of temporal and spatial distributions of water resources, quantitative research was carried out on the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of water resources in Guangdong Province from 1956 to 2000 based on a cloud model. The spatial variation of the temporal distribution characteristics and the temporal variation of the spatial distribution characteristics were both analyzed. In addition, the relationships between the numerical characteristics of the cloud model of temporal and spatial distributions of water resources and precipitation were also studied. The results show that, using a cloud model, it is possible to intuitively describe the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of water resources in cloud images. Water resources in Guangdong Province and their temporal and spatial distribution characteristics are differentiated by their geographic locations. Downstream and coastal areas have a larger amount of water resources with greater uniformity and stronger stability in terms of temporal distribution. Regions with more precipitation possess larger amounts of water resources, and years with more precipitation show greater nonuniformity in the spatial distribution of water resources. The correlation between the nonuniformity of the temporal distribution and local precipitation is small, and no correlation is found between the stability of the nonuniformity of the temporal and spatial distributions of water resources and precipitation. The amount of water resources in Guangdong Province shows an increasing trend from 1956 to 2000, the nonuniformity of the spatial distribution of water resources declines, and the stability of the nonuniformity of the spatial distribution of water resources is enhanced. 展开更多

This study was conducted on the spatial distribution characteristics of surface tidal currents in the southwestern Taiwan Strait based on the quasi-harmonic analysis of current data obtained by two high frequency surface wave radar(HFSWR) systems. The analysis shows that the tidal current pattern in the southwestern Taiwan Strait is primarily semi-diurnal and influenced significantly by shallow water constituents. The spatial distribution of tidal current ellipses of M2 is probably affected by the interaction between two different systems of tide wave, one from the northern mouth of Taiwan Strait and the other from the Bashi Channel. The directions of the major axes of M2 tidal current ellipses coincide roughly with the axis of the Taiwan Strait. The spatial distribution of the magnitudes of the probable maximum current velocity(PMCS) shows gradual increase of the velocity from northeast to southwest, which is in accordance with the spatial distribution of the measured maximum current velocity(MMCS). The directions of the residual currents are in accordance with the direction of the prevailing monsoon wind at the Taiwan Strait and the direction of the Taiwan warm current during summer. The bathymetry also shows a significant effect on the spatial distribution characteristics of tidal currents. 展开更多

Five trace elements including Zn, Cu, Cd, Cr and As were investigated in surface water from ten typical sampling sites in Honghu Lake. The consequence indicated that all of the detected trace element levels were within the allowed standard of China’s safe water guideline. The hazard quotients (HQ) and the hazard index (HI) value levels of all the five heavy metals in all sampling sites did not exceed the acceptable risk limits of non-carcinogenic value through the selected assessment method. Pearson’s correlation analysis and principal component analysis (PCA) indicated that Zn and Cu mainly originated from the natural alluviation and non-point agricultural sources, whereas Cr and As were mainly derived from industrial effluents. Moreover, Cd mainly originated from both non-point agricultural and industrial pollution sources. In addition, cluster analysis (CA) implied that cluster 1 (including S3, S5, S6 and S10) was considered the set of high pollution sites and cluster 2 (including S4 and S9) was identified as the set of moderate pollution sites. 展开更多

The extrema of transfer functions appear at the center, the four corners and around the edges of conductor, and move with the edges. Public space as an extension of private living spaces carries the different social life and customs of human settlement.To analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of traditional villages in northern Guangxi based on spatial syntax and its influencing factors,this paper analyzed and compared the spatial structure and morphology of traditional villages in northern Guangxi by using the theory of spatial syntax and linguistics as the quantitative analysis method of spatial syntax,and verified the feasibility of expanding the application of spatial syntax,finally,the generality and characteristics of the spatial structure and form of traditional villages in northern Guangxi were put forward.Protection has been implemented.According to the comprehensibility data in this paper,the comprehensibility of the village 1 in northern Guangxi is 0.52,the village 2 is 0.40,the village 3 is 0.35,the village 4 is 0.48,the village 5 is 0.55 and the village 6 is 0.50.It showed that in the selected 6 village samples,except for the 3 ones in northern Guangxi,the local space of the other 3 villages could better perceive the overall space,which also reflected the overall space permeability of most traditional villages in northern Guangxi was good. 展开更多

Taking 138 key rural tourism villages in Beijing for example,this paper applied GIS analysis to analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of these villages,selected the influence factors of the villages considering the classification characteristics,so as to explore the impact of different influence factors on its spatial distribution.The results showed(i)Key rural tourism villages in Beijing manifested an aggregated distribution on the whole,they were unevenly distributed and mostly located in the fringe area of northern mountainous areas and plains,such as Huairou District and Miyun District.Such a“multi-center distribution”pattern was significantly influenced by terrains and natural resources.(ii)Depending on local natural and cultural resources,tourism resources,development characteristics and functional differences,key rural tourism villages in Beijing could be devided into natural scenery type,scenic area-dependent type and agriculture experiencing type.(iii)Key factors influencing the distribution of these villages included mean temperature,annual precipitation,quantity of scenic area,road network density,agricultural land and so on,and the interaction of dual factors exerted more significant impact on single factors. 展开更多

This paper selects Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Wuhan as examples and builds a database based on the statistics of the ? fth and sixth national population censuses and the latest statistics of aging population collected by ministries and commissions of the Central Government and local departments, as well as by our research team from 2000 to 2010. With its data unit accurate to Jiedao~① level, it is the ? rst time to analyze the micro-level spatial distribution characteristics of the aging population in China's mega cities in comparison with research accomplishments in geography, which lays a foundation for further relevant studies and strategy formulation. The paper draws spatial distribution maps of the aging population in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Wuhan by Geograpic Information System(GIS), and uses Aging Degree Index and Population Gravitational Center respectively to analyze the spatial distribution characteristics and spatial evolution trends of aging population in these mega cities. The research indicates that, on the one hand, the spatial distribution of the aging population shows similar characteristics with that of developed countries when they were at the same urbanization level, especially with Japan which shares a cultural homology with China; on the other hand, it is greatly in? uenced by the distribution of af? liated residential space of large industrial sectors, enterprises, and research institutes under the early planned economic system. There are two trends: one is centrifugal spread, namely, the elderly are moving from the city center to the outside; the other is centripetal concentration, namely, the elderly who lived in the outer suburbs are moving towards the city center. These phenomena, such as centripetal concentration, suburban spread, exurban concentration, and socio-spatial differentiation of urban aging population, are driven by selective development in the city center, city function upgrading, re-hollowing of villages, and occupation and income differentiation of the elderly before retirement. 展开更多

The density of negative air ion has become one of the important indexes that measure the air quality grade. With the air ions counter made in Japan, the spatial distribution characteristics of negative air concentrations at specific time in Danqinghe Experimental Forest were measured and studied, Harbin City, and the air quality was assessed by using ion polarity ration (q) and air ion assessment index (CI). The results showed that at a given time, the average concentrations of negative air ions were different for different forest types, stand origins, tree species and different parts of Balan River. There was a clear difference in ion polarity ration and air ion assessment index, and the air quality in different environments were also quite different. 展开更多

Spatiotemporal distribution of GNSS-derived PWV in Australia from 2010 to 2019

The weather in Australia is significantly influenced by water vapor evaporated fromwarm ocean surfaces,which is closely associated with various extreme weather events in the region,such as floods,droughts,and bushfires.This study utilizes Precipitable Water Vapor(PWV)data from 15 Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)stations spanning 2010 to 2019 to investigate the spatiotemporal distribution of atmospheric water vapor across Australia,aiming to improve the accuracy of forecasting hazardous weather events.The results indicate distinct regional features in the spatial distribution of PWV.PWV gradually decreases from coastal areas toward inland regions and increases from south to north.Temporally,the overall trend of PWV remains consistent.From an annual trend perspective,most areas exhibit a decline in PWV content,with the exception of the southwestern coastal region,which shows an increasing trend.Furthermore,the study explores the correlations between PWV content and elevation,latitude,and longitude.Among these,latitude demonstrates the strongest correlation with PWV,with a correlation coefficient as high as 0.88,highlighting the significant impact of latitude on water vapor distribution. 展开更多

Ocean reanalysis data,compared to traditional observational data,possess stronger continuity and higher data accuracy.The globally high-resolution ice-ocean coupled reanalysis product China Ocean ReAnalysis,Version 2.0(CORA v2.0),independently developed by the National Marine Information Center,has attracted considerable attention since its release in 2020.This study selected six representative points of sound velocity profiles in different global ocean regions and conducted comparative analysis between the 2014 momentary data from CORA v2.0 and Argo data.Additionally,the monthly average data of CORA v2.0 in 2013 were compared and studied against General Digital Environmental Model(GDEM)and World Ocean Atlas(WOA)data.Metrics such as Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)and Mean Error(ME)were introduced to evaluate the differences between datasets.The result reveals that,in a comparison of single moment data,the sound velocity profiles of CORA v2.0 data and Argo data exhibit high consistency,with ME generally within 2 m/s.Regarding a comparison of monthly average data,the consistency between CORA v2.0 data and WOA data is higher,while the error relative to GDEM data is relatively larger,but their RMSE and ME exhibit high similarity in temporal trends.Based on the 2014 data of CORA v2.0,the temporal and spatial evolutionary laws of global seawater sound velocity profiles and sound speed fields were analyzed.On the time scale,the variation of seawater sound speed is mainly influenced by seasons,with significant differences between winter and summer seasons.On the daily scale,there are certain differences in sound velocity profiles mainly in the early morning and afternoon.On the spatial scale,analysis was conducted from both horizontal and vertical perspectives.The distribution of sound speed exhibits evident regularity with latitude,with shallow seawater sound speed being greatly influenced by external factors while deep seawater is relatively stable.Using the Range-dependent Acoustic Model for Geoacoustics(RAMgeo)model to solve the underwater acoustic field at three specific points,the characteristic changes of sound velocity profiles at different times of the day and their impact on under water sound propagation losses were obtained.This paper provides valuable information for the application of CORA v2.0 data products. 展开更多

The spatial distributions of the electron density and the mean electron energy of argon radio frequency (rf) glow discharge plasma in a plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition (PECVD) system have been investigated using an established movable Langmuir probe. The results indicate that in the axial direction the electron density tends to peak at midway between the two electrodes while the axial variation trend of mean electron energy is different from that of the electron density, the mean electron energy is high near the electrodes. And the mean electron energy near the cathode is much higher than that near the anode. This article focuses on the radial distribution of electron density and mean electron energy. A proposed theoretical model distribution agrees well with the experimental one: the electron density and the mean electron energy both increase from the centre of the glow to the edge of electrodes. This is useful for better understanding the discharge mechanism and searching for a better deposition condition to improve thin film quality. 展开更多

Based upon a comprehensive study of 123 copper deposits in China. this paper reaches the following conclusions: 1. The crust in China was solidified pretty late; with the accretion of the plate, the copper mineralization moved towards its margin in space and became successively younger in age. 2. The major copper ore types ever found in the world have mostly been discovered in China, in which the porphyry type seems to be the most important and the massive sulfide type in the transitional bed between marine clastic and carbonate rocks is clearly defined. 3. Carbonate strata are widespread in China and their deposition lasted for a long geological period, so the proportion of copper deposits occurring in them is large as compared with other parts of the world. 4. Seven metallogenic epochs can be recognized, in which the Mesozoic one plays the leading role and the middle(late) Palaeozoic and Cenozoic ones are next in importance. Mineralization was comparatively simple in the early geological period. and became diversified later on. In the early epochs copper deposits related to basaltic magmatism and metamorphosed marine sediments predominated, whereas in the later epochs those related to granitic magmatism and continental sedimentation were dominant. 5. There exist in China thirteen metallogenic provinces, of which the Lower Yangtze downwarping belt, Sanjiang fold system, Jiangnan axis and Xikang-Yunnan axis are of greater significance. 6. With rainfall data of 51 stations in April - September in the Pearl River basin during 1954 - 2003, we have applied the Principal Component Analysis method to research the spatial distribution characteristics of April - September rainfall. The results reveal the following. In the Pearl River basin, there is different precipitation varying from 600 mm to 1900 mm in April - September and precipitation decreases gradually from southeast to northwest. The standard deviation distribution decreases gradually from east to west on the whole. The rainfall distribution of the Pearl River basin has five main types: Type I: there is flood (drought) in the whole region, Type Ⅱ: there is flood (drought) in the north and drought (flood) in the south, Type IlI: there is flood (drought) in the east and drought (flood) in the west, Type IV: there id flood (drought) in the central part and drought (flood) in the east and west, and Type V: there is flood (drought) in center and drought (flood) in north and south. The types of the flood (drought) in the whole region and flood (drought) in the north and drought (flood) in the south appear much more than the others, being 64% of the total. From the 10-year moving average, it is seen that rainfall between April and September in the Pearl River basin region is mainly dry in 1983 - 1992, and mainly dry in the east and wet in the west in 1967 - 1971 and wet in the east and dryin the west in 1979. 展开更多

Objective:Echinococcosis is a fatal parasitic disease caused by infection with the larval stages of Echinococcus spp..This study explored the spatial distribution characteristics and the host selection patterns of global Echinococcus species based on niche analysis,to provide scientific insights for the prevention and control of echinococcosis.Methods:Relevant literature was retrieved from Web of Science,PubMed,ScienceDirect,and CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure)databases.Data on the host information and geographic locations for all Echinococcus species worldwide were extracted.The spatial distribution characteristics of Echinococcus were summarized,and the host frequency heatmaps were generated using the SRplot platform.Niche indices were calculated and visualized using R language packages and the Hiplot Pro platform.Results:The ten existing Echinococcus species were documented across 1,770 provincial-level administrative divisions in 113 countries,involving 188 species of host animals.Significant heterogeneity with varying degrees of overlap and differentiation was observed in spatial and host niches among Echinococcus species.The overall spatial distribution among Echinococcus species showed a significantly negative correlation(VR=0.85,W=1,502.79<χ^(2) 0.951770),while host selection patterns revealed no significant correlation(VR=0.90,χ^(2) 0.95187<W=167.70<χ^(2) 0.05187).Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multilocularis exhibited the broadest spatial niche(BEg=7.34)and host niche(BEm=3.07),respectively.Conclusion:The spatial distribution and host selection among Echinococcus species exhibit complex heterogeneity and correlations,requiring the development of targeted strategies for the prevention,control,and surveillance of echinococcosis. 展开更多

Spatial and temporal patterns of solar radiation in China from 1957 to 2016

Solar energy is clean and renewable energy that plays an important role in mitigating impacts of environmental problems and climate change.Solar radiation received on the earth's surface determines the efficiency of power generation and the location and layout of photovoltaic arrays.In this paper,the average daily solar radiation of 77 stations in China from 1957 to 2016 was analyzed in terms of spatial and temporal characteristics.The results indicate that Xinjiang,the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,North,Central and East China show a decreasing trend with an average of 2.54×10^(−3)MJ/(m^(2)⋅10a),while Northwest and Northeast China are basically stabilized,and Southwest China shows a clear increasing trend with an average increase of 1.79×10^(−3)MJ/(m^(2)⋅10a).The average daily solar radiation in summer and winter in China from 1957 to 2016 was 18.74 MJ/m^(2)and 9.09 MJ/m^(2),respectively.Except for spring in Northwest,East and South China,and summer in northeast China,the average daily solar radiation in all other regions show a downward trend.A critical point for the change is 1983 in the average daily solar radiation.Meanwhile,large-scale(25−30 years)oscillation changes are more obvious,while small-scale(5−10 years)changes are stable and have a global scope.The average daily solar radiation shows an increasing-decreasing gradient from west to east,which can be divided into three areas west of 80°E,80°E−100°E and east of 100°E.The average daily solar radiation was 2.07 MJ/m^(2)in the 1980s,and that in 1990s lower than that in the 1960s and the 1970s.The average daily solar radiation has rebounded in the 21st century,but overall it is still lower than the average daily solar radiation from 1957 to 2016(13.87 MJ/m^(2)). 展开更多

Climate change and rapid urbanization pose significant challenges to the conservation and management of agricultural heritage systems,including decline in agricultural land,loss of labor,and ecosystem degradation.Although existing studies have proposed general strategies with theoretical guidance and specific strategies for particular systems to promote the conservation of agricultural heritage systems,there remains a large knowledge gap in effective and differentiated management strategies at the regional level.This is especially so in China because of the clear regional differences in the natural and socioeconomic conditions of the widely distributed China Nationally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems(China-NIAHS).In this study,we integrated multi-source data and spatial analysis to reveal the distribution characteristics of existing China-NIAHS and proposed differentiated management strategies.Results show that there are four clustering distribution zones of China-NIAHS,i.e.,the northwest clustering zone west of the Heihe-Tengchong Line(ZoneⅠ),the clustering belt with‘Northeast-Hebei-Shandong'as core(ZoneⅡ),the Yangtze River Delta clustering zone(ZoneⅢ),and the Hunan-Chongqing-Yunnan-Guizhou clustering zone(ZoneⅣ).Different management strategies are proposed for the China-NIAHS in each clustering zone.Specifically,ZoneⅠshould focus on maintaining their ecological functions and services,while ZoneⅡshould aim for livelihood supply,sustainable resource use,and ecological protection.For ZoneⅢ,rapid urbanization could become a positive driving force for China-NIAHS conservation through sustainable tourism and reasonable urban zoning.ZoneⅣshould emphasize the mutual support between characteristic product development and the brand effect of the China-NIAHS.These findings will help establish regional and targeted management strategies for China-NIAHS and provide a reference for the conservation of agricultural heritage systems in other countries. 展开更多

This study takes the agricultural resource utilization efficiency of Gansu Province and its cities(prefectures)during 2008-2017 as the research object,evaluates the efficiency by using data envelopment analysis(DEA),mathematical statistics and literature research methods,selects 10 input indicators and 3 output indicators of agricultural production,and then calculates the comprehensive efficiency,technical efficiency and scale efficiency ofagricultural resources utilization in Gansu from 2008 to 2017,the redundancy of the input was analyzed by combining with the redundancy value,and projection analysis was applied to improve the input and allocation of agricultural resources.For the temporal characteristics of agricultural resource utilization efficiency in Gansu,the results show that the utilization efficiency is relatively low and fluctuates over time while gradually stabilizing,the comprehensive efficiency increased from 0.857 to 1,with values that were not 1 in 2008,2009,2010,2011,2012 and 2015,showing a relatively ineffective utilization state,and the utilization efficiency had a hysteresis effecton the implementation of policies.Meanwhile,the spatial distribution characteristics indicate large regional differences in utilization efficiency among the cities and prefectures,all of the cities can be divided into four categoriesaccording to their different comprehensive efficiency levels:the best(1.00),the second best(0.98-1.00),the lower(0.90-0.98)and the lowest(<0.90),and the corresponding characteristic agricultural development regions weredivided based on their actual situations;the redundancy of agricultural input factors still exists,especially in ecological factors such as climatic resources,agricultural fertilizer usage and agriculture practitioners;while the technical efficiency had obvious restrictions on the comprehensive efficiency.In summary,the input-output efficiency ofagricultural resources in Gansu is relatively low overall,the unbalanced regional development of utilization efficiency is obvious,and agricultural development is greatly constrained by ecological and technical factors.Therefore,the key to improving this situation lies in the integration of agricultural support funds to develop agricultural facility construction,adjust the agricultural input and industrial structure,actively promote the application of science andtechnology,vigorously develop regional characteristic agriculture,and create ecological and civilization agriculture. 展开更多
