Deep Space Optical Network(DSON) is expected to become an important foundation and inevitable development trend of future deepspace communication. In this paper, we design a deep space node model which is capable of combining the space division multiplexing with frequency division multiplexing. Furthermore, we propose the directional flooding routing algorithm(DFRA) for DSON based on our node model. This scheme selectively forwards the data packets in the routing, so that the energy consumption can be reduced effectively because only a portion of nodes will participate the flooding routing. Simulation results show that, compared with traditional flooding routing algorithm(TFRA), the DFRA can avoid the non-directional and blind transmission. Therefore, the energy consumption in message routing will be reduced and the lifespan of DSON can also be prolonged effectively. Although the complexity of routing implementation is slightly increased compared with TFRA, the energy of nodes can be saved and the transmission rate is obviously improved in DFRA. Thus the overall performance of DSON can be significantly improved.展开更多

The complex atmospheric environment will produce a variety of adverse effects on the signal. The interference produced by these effects overlaps with each other, which will seriously affect the strength of the received signal. Therefore, how to effectively suppress the atmospheric turbulence effect in the random atmospheric turbulence channel, ensure the normal transmission of the signal in the atmospheric channel, and reduce the bit error rate of the communication system, is very necessary to improve the communication system. When processing the received signal, it is an important step to detect the transmitted signal by comparing the received signal with the threshold. In this paper, based on the atmospheric turbulence distribution model, the adaptive signal decision threshold is obtained through the estimation of high-order cumulant. Monte Carlo method is used to verify the performance of adaptive threshold detection. The simulation results show that the high-order cumulant estimation of atmospheric turbulence parameters can realize the adaptive change of the decision threshold with the channel condition. It is shown that the adaptive threshold detection can effectively restrain atmospheric turbulence, improve the performance of free space optical and improve the communication quality.展开更多

Thus while a random sampling matrix is used to guide the establishment of links between head cluster and sensor nodes, the random linear projection is accomplished. To establish multiple links at the same time, an optical space division multiple access antenna is designed. It works in fixed beams switching mode and consists of optic lens with a large field of view(FOV), fiber array on the focal plane which is used to realize virtual channels segmentation, direction of arrival sensor, optical matrix switch and controller. Based on the angles of nodes' laser beams, by dynamically changing the route, optical matrix switch actualizes the multi-beam full duplex tracking receiving and transmission. Due to the structure of fiber array, there will be several fade zones both in the focal plane and in lens' FOV. In order to lower the impact of fade zones and harmonize multibeam, a fiber array adjustment is designed. By theoretical, simulated and experimental study, the antenna's qualitative feasibility is validated.展开更多

In this work, to tackle this challenge, we first categorize the performance metrics of the space optical system by taking into account the system tasks(i.e., target detection and tracking). We then propose a new non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm(NSGA) to maximize the system surveillance performance. Pareto optimal sets are employed to deal with the conflicts due to the presence of multiple cost functions. 文摘Objective This study aimed to develop and test a model for predicting dysthyroid optic neuropathy(DON)based on clinical factors and imaging markers of the optic nerve and cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)in the optic nerve sheath. Methods This retrospective study included patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy(TAO)without DON and patients with TAO accompanied by DON at our hospital. The imaging markers of the optic nerve and CSF in the optic nerve sheath were measured on the water-fat images of each patient and, together with clinical factors, were screened by Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator.Subsequently,we constructed a prediction model using multivariate logistic regression. The accuracy of the model was verified using receiver operating characteristic curve analysis. Results In total,80 orbits from 44 DON patients and 90 orbits from 45 TAO patients were included in our study. Two variables(optic nerve subarachnoid space and the volume of the CSF in the optic nerve sheath)were found to be independent predictive factors and were included in the prediction model. In the development cohort, the mean area under the curve(AUC)was 0.994,with a sensitivity of 0.944,specificity of 0.967,and accuracy of 0.901.Moreover,in the validation cohort, the AUC was 0.960,the sensitivity was 0.889,the specificity was 0.893,and the accuracy was 0.890.Conclusions A combined model was developed using imaging data of the optic nerve and CSF in the optic nerve sheath, serving as a noninvasive potential tool to predict DON.
文摘Satellite constellation design for space optical systems is essentially a multiple-objective optimization problem. Simulation results verify the validity and the improved performance of the proposed technique over benchmark methods.
文摘There is growing global interest in establishing free-space optical(FSO)communication links, such as groundsatellite links(GSLs)of at least hundreds of kilometers, intersatellite links of thousands of kilometers, and future deep space links of much greater dimensions.Enabling outdoor wireless FSO communication systems to be utilized during daylight hours can increase their availability in space-air-ground networks;however, this is usually accompanied by incoherent background radiation that impairs the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)and bit error rate(BER).Therefore,a preliminary review of the background noise is required before constructing ground terminals with a suitable SNR in a harsh environment with high levels of solar noise.Herein,we evaluated the background noise that sunlight provides to ground terminals and quantitatively examined its impact on the SNR,communication performance, and beacon detection accuracy of the developed all-free-space ground terminal.Furthermore,we present the results of a daytime demonstration of a 7-km terrestrial free-space optical communication link by employing our ground terminal that was designed based on these analyses. The results verified that 2.5-Gbps data transmission up to 7 km is feasible, even in expected daytime satellite tracking scenarios with high background noise,by the developed system with spectral and spatial filtering to achieve an acceptable SNR.The background noise results of our research are anticipated to further the research on quantum communication networks, light detection and ranging(LiDAR),and green energy technologies.
文摘For space optical remote sensor (SORS) with either film or time delay and integrate charge coupled device (TDI-CCD) imaging, in order to achieve higher resolution it requires more accurate real-time image motion compensation. This primarily depends on real-time computation of the image motion velocity vector (IMVV) and error budget and synthesis on related parameters. An effective modeling scheme is introduced and the derivation of IMVV equation, error budget and synthesis by Monte-Carlo method are presented in detail. This total solution was applied to SORS system test on orbit and has been confirmed to be very accurate based on the resolution, transfer function at Nyquist frequency, signal-to-noise ratio and average gray scale of the captured images.
