In order to assess the responses of different skin types stimulated by tape stripping,after which two kinds of brand cosmetics of cream and hydrogel,were separately applied to evaluate the individual soothing effect o...In order to assess the responses of different skin types stimulated by tape stripping,after which two kinds of brand cosmetics of cream and hydrogel,were separately applied to evaluate the individual soothing effect of the product on different skin types.A total of 30 volunteers aged 18~65 years were recruited,which were divided into four groups(oily,dry,normal and combined)according to the self-oiling ability of facial and T zones.Four 3 cm×3 cm of skins on inner forearm of each volunteer were chosen and randomly marked as blank,negative control,soothing cream and soothing gel.The blank area was kept untreated,and the remaining areas were tape-stripped by 10 times(Transparent universal 1527C-1,3M China Co.,Ltd.,)to disrupt the skin corneum and induce erythema.Images,erythema index(EI)and transcutaneous water loss rate(TEWL)of the marked skin areas before and 5 min after tape-stripping were taken to assess the distinct responses of different skin type to the taping treatment;Ten minutes after tape-stripping,The soothing products were applied to the test area,the skin images,EI and TEWL at 20 min and 50 min(corresponding to 30 min and 60 min after tape-stripping,respectively)were measured after cosmetics application to compare and evaluate the soothing effects of cream and hydrogel on different skin types.Results showed that different skin displayed diverse reactions to the tape-stripping,and the oily skin was more sensitive with longer duration of erythema than other skin types.After the application of soothing products,both cream and hydrogel could relieve skin erythema,while the soothing effects are dependent both on skin types and the cosmetic base materials:Hydrogel has a better efficacy in alleviating erythema and TEWL of dry skin,while the cream was more effective on normal,oily and combined skin types.The results suggest that the modelling method for soothing evaluation should consider the skin types of the volunteers,and the cosmetics of different base materials might have the target skin types.展开更多

Objective This study aimed to examine the sleep arrangements and soothing methods and to assess their associations with sleep problems among children aged<3 years in China.Methods A cross-sectional survey was condu...Objective This study aimed to examine the sleep arrangements and soothing methods and to assess their associations with sleep problems among children aged<3 years in China.Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 2019 from six provinces in China.A total of 1,195 caregivers of children aged 0–35 months were included in the study.Data on sleep arrangements,soothing methods,and sleep problems(i.e.,frequent night awakenings and difficulty falling asleep)were assessed using the Brief Infant Sleep Questionnaire.The reasons for bed-sharing in sleep arrangements were recorded using a self-designed questionnaire.Results The bed-sharing practice was very prevalent at any age,which ranged from 69.9%to 78.3%.Most infants fell asleep while feeding or being rocked/held before age 12 months.By age 35 months,62.4%of the children fell asleep in bed near parents.The most common reasons for bed-sharing were breastfeeding/feeding and convenience.Parental involvement when falling asleep was significantly related with frequent night awakenings and difficulty falling asleep.No association was found between bed-sharing and sleep.Conclusion Bed-sharing and parental involvement were very common among Chinese children aged<3 years.Children who fall asleep with parental involvement were more likely to have sleep problems.展开更多

And the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of human epidermis, plays a central role in the interaction between the cutaneous tissue and the external environment. The horny layer, and more generally the whole skin layers, avoid the penetration of harmful exogenous agents, produce molecules named anti-microbial peptides which impact the composition of the cutaneous microbiota, regulate the internal corporal temperature, avoid the water loss from the inside of the body and constitute an incredible efficient anti-oxidant network. Nevertheless, nowadays, the skin is more and more solicited by the different elements of the cutaneous exposome, including atmospheric pollution and solar radiations, which can cause a dramatic acceleration of the skin ageing process. As a consequence, due to the multifunctional protective role of the skin, during the recent decade the cosmetic industry invested massively in the development of new raw materials and end-products (dermo-cosmetics) able to preserve an optimal state of the skin regarding the external environment. Based on their physical-chemical properties thermal spring waters, which are extremely rich in inorganics ions, are interesting and powerful candidates to be part, as integral component, of new efficient dermo-cosmetic formulations dedicated to protect the skin from the external stimuli. The aim of the present work was to investigate and characterize the activity of Jonzac thermal spring water on the skin. Using different models, we proved for the first time that Jonzac thermal spring water reinforces the barrier function of the skin by modulating the expression of key markers including filaggrin and human beta defensin 2 on ex vivo human skin. The ex vivo and in vivo hydration activity, by Raman spectroscopy and corneometry respectively, has been also demonstrated. We have also shown that Jonzac thermal spring water ameliorates significantly the cutaneous microrelief in vivo. To conclude, we characterize the soothing effect of Jonzac thermal spring water by the analysis of histamine release in Substance P treated skin explants and by measuring the redness of the skin following UV exposure of the skin in vivo. We observed that both parameters decreased following a preventive treatment of the skin with Jonzac thermal spring water. Taken together our results indicate that Jonzac thermal spring water is a promising and powerful dermo-cosmetic which can be used to preserve an optimal state of the cutaneous tissue.展开更多
In order to search an appropriate evaluation method for the soothing effect of cosmetics,the LPS-induced macrophage model,SDS-stimulated zebrafish embryos model and the clinical assessment were used.The results showed...In order to search an appropriate evaluation method for the soothing effect of cosmetics,the LPS-induced macrophage model,SDS-stimulated zebrafish embryos model and the clinical assessment were used.The results showed that the concentration of NO and IL-6 was significantly reduced in LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells when applied to two essences.The inhibition rate of NO-release was 85.87%and 84.57%,while IL-6 was 44.18%and 38.76%,respectively.Furthermore,the spontaneous rotating of zebrafish embryos was significantly decreased to 51.85%and 76.54%in SDS-stimulated zebrafish embryos model.In the 28 days of clinical assessment,the concentration of hydration was significantly increased to 55.56%and 39.61%,while the erythrodesis was significantly decreased to 4.75%and 6.68%.This indicates that the three evaluation methods of soothing efficacy in this research were effective,and can be used in the evaluation of cosmetics.展开更多

METHODS: The animal model of stress-related nonalcoholic fatty liver which is more in line with the modern social and clinical conditions was established by the method of chronic restraint compound high-fat feed. AST and ALT were detected by automatic biochemical analyzer. Serum cortisol and TNF-a were detected by radioimmunoassay. The relative expression of Nr3 c1 mRNA was detected by real-time quantitative PCR. RESULTS: Compared with the blank group, the scores of open field test, Nr3 c1 mRNA decreased, and AST, ALT, FFA were significantly increased in model group. Compared with model group, the open field test scores, Nr3 c1 mRNA increased,and Cor, AST, FFA, LDL, TNF-a, were significantly decreased in SNS group. CONCLUSIONS: "Soothing the liver method" can exert its therapeutic effect on stress-related non-alcoholic fatty liver on neuroendocrine-metabolic level.展开更多

Methods: the patients with end-stage leukemia in Linfen People's Hospital of Shanxi Province were selected as the research object. The collection period was from June 2019 to June 2020. A total of 80 patients were randomly divided into two groups with 40 patients in each group. Relaxation nursing (observation group) and routine nursing (control group) were selected respectively. After the nursing, the indexes of the two groups of patients were analyzed and compared. Results: the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly different from that of the control group (p < 0.05). After nursing, the anxiety score and depression score of the observation group were significantly different from those of the control group (P < 0.05). The incidence of infection events in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (p < 0.05). In the comparison of quality of life scores between the two groups, the observation group was significantly higher (p < 0.05). Conclusion: the application of soothing care in patients with end-stage leukemia can effectively improve the relationship between nurses and patients, relieve the negative emotions of patients, improve the comfort level of patients, improve physical and mental symptoms, and improve the quality of life.展开更多

To investigate the mechanisms of apigenin(API)and proanthocyanidins(PC)in soothing sensitive skin(SS),a mast cell degranulation model was established by stimulating RBL-2H3 cells with the calcium ionophore A23187.Base...To investigate the mechanisms of apigenin(API)and proanthocyanidins(PC)in soothing sensitive skin(SS),a mast cell degranulation model was established by stimulating RBL-2H3 cells with the calcium ionophore A23187.Based on the combinatorial experiments,it was found that when API and PC were combined at the molar ratios of 4∶1 and 2∶1,they exhibited the antagonistic effects on histamine release(combination index CI>1);when they are combined at the molar ratios of 1∶1,1∶2 or 1∶4,they showed the synergistic effects on histamine release(CI<1).Among them,the combination of API and PC at a molar ratio of 1∶1 showed the better potent synergistic antihistamine release effect(CI=0.70).Histamine is a hallmark of the mast cell degranulation,consequently,the combination of API and PC at a molar ratio of 1∶1 yields the better efficiency in inhibiting the mast cell degranulation with the lowest IC_(50)value.Compared to the utilization of API or PC alone,the IC_(50)value was reduced by 11.150 and 6.503μmol/L,respectively.Compared to the positive control paeonol(PA),the treatment with the combination significantly reduced theβ-hex secretion,decreased the F-actin cytoskeleton rearrangement,and markedly suppressed the release of TNF-α,IL-4,and MCP-1.Further studies on the signaling pathways related to the mast cell degranulation indicated that the combination effectively inhibited the intracellular Ca^(2+)influx and significantly suppressed the phosphorylation of calmodulin-dependent protein kinase(CaMK)and phospholipase C/protein kinase C(PLC/PKC).In summary,the combination of API and PC at a molar ratio of 1∶1 exhibited the better synergistic antagonistic effect on the histamine release,inhibited the mast cell degranulation model activation by reducing Ca^(2+)influx and inhibiting the activation of Ca^(2+)/CaMK and PLC/PKC pathways,stabilized the cell membranes,regulated the inflammatory factor secretion,and exerted an effect in alleviating sensitive skin.展开更多

Methods: After 1 week of acclimatization, 120 Sprague-Dawley male rats were randomly divided into 8 groups using a random number table(n=15 per group): normal group, model group, low-dose Chaihu Shugan Powder(柴胡疏肝散, CHSG) group(3.2 g/kg), high-dose CHSG group(9.6 g/kg), low-dose Shenling Baizhu Powder(参苓白术散, SLBZ) group(10 g/kg), high-dose SLBZ(30 g/kg) group, and low-and highdose integrated recipe(L-IR, H-IR) groups. All rats in the model and treatment groups were fed with a high-fat diet(HFD). The treatments were administrated by gastrogavage once daily and lasted for 26 weeks. The liver tissues were detected with hematoxylin-eosin(HE) and oil red O staining. Levels of liver lipids, serum lipids and transaminases were measured. KCs were isolated from the livers of rats to evaluate the mRNA expressions of TLR4 and p38 MAPK by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and proteins expressions of TLR4, p-p38 MAPK and p38 MAPK by Western blot. Levels of inflammatory cytokines including tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α), interleukin(IL)-1 and IL-6 in KCs were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: After 26 weeks of HFD feeding, HE and oil red O staining showed that the NASH model rats successfully reproduced typical pathogenesis and histopathological features. Compared with the normal group, the model group exhibited significant increases in body weight, liver weight, liver index, serum levels of total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and aspartate aminotransferase as well as TC and TG levels in liver tissues, and significant decrease in serum level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(P<0.05 or P<0.01), while those indices were significantly ameliorated in the H-IR group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Higher levels of TNF-α, IL-1 and IL-6 in KCs were observed in the model group compared with the normal group(P<0.01). Significant decreases in TNF-α, IL-1 and IL-6 were observed in the H-SLBZ, H-IR and L-IR groups compared with the model group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). The m RNA expressions of TLR4 and p38 MAPK and protein expressions of TLR4, p38 MAPK and p-p38 MAPK in KCs in the model group were significantly higher than the normal group(P<0.01), while those expression levels in the L-IR and H-IR groups were significantly lower than the model group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusions: Inflammation in KCs might play an important role in the pathogenesis of NASH in rats. The data demonstrated the importance of TLR4-p38 MAPK signaling pathway in KCs for the anti-inflammatory effect of soothing Gan and invigorating Pi recipes.展开更多

Methods： With a single-blinded randomized control study adopted, 63 patients who met the inclusion criteria were assigned by a random number table to two groups, 31 in the treatment group and 32 in the drug control group. The treatment group received SGIP acupuncture therapy; while the control group was treated orally with pinaverium bromide. The treatment duration of both groups was 28 days. The clinical efficacy was evaluated and compared by scoring patient＇s symptom and QOL. Results： A significant difference was found by variance analysis in efficacies between the two groups （P〈0.01）, shown as the quicker initiation of effect （P〈0.05） and the more evident clinical improvement in symptoms along the increase in treatment duration, as well as the more significant elevation of QOL in the acupuncture treatment group （P〈0.01）. SGIP displayed its superiority especially in improving dysphoria, conflict behavior, dietary restrictions, and social responses. Conclusion： SGIP acupuncture treatment could effectively alleviate the degree and frequency of symptoms＇ attack in IBS-D patients, such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, abdominal distension, etc., markedly relieve the tenesmic sensation, with the efficacy better than that of pinaverium bromide, showing a preponderance in improving patient＇s QOL.展开更多
Objective To investigate the mechanism of lipid metabolism disorders in Kupffer cells （KCs） of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease （NAFLD） rats mediated by LXRα-SREBP-lc pathway and the interference of soothing liv...Objective To investigate the mechanism of lipid metabolism disorders in Kupffer cells （KCs） of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease （NAFLD） rats mediated by LXRα-SREBP-lc pathway and the interference of soothing liver and invigorating spleen recipe （SLISR） on it. Methods SD male rats were randomly divided into five groups： normal, model, soothing liver recipe （SLR）, invigorating spleen recipe （ISR）, and soothing liver and invigorating spleen recipe （SLISR） groups. The rats in treatment groups were administered for 8 weeks. The liver tissue was stained with H＆E and oil red O. The levels of hepatic lipid and blood lipid were measured by biochemical analyzer. KCs were isolated from the livers of rats to evaluate the expression of LXRα, SREBP-1 C, and FAS mRNA by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR tests; LXRα, SREBP-1C, and FAS proteins were measured by Western blotting. Results The H＆E and oil red O staining results showed that the model rats successfully reproduced typical pathogenetic and histopathological features of NAFLD. The levels of hepatic lipid and blood lipid in the model rats were dramatically increased. Compared with the model group, the values of hepatic lipid and blood lipid in the treatment groups were significantly ameliorated （P〈 0.05, 0.01 ）. The yields of purified KCs from each rat were 2×10^7-3×10^7. The viability of KCs was higher than 95%, with the purity over 90.18%. Compared with the model group, the expression of LXRα, SREBP-1C, and FAS mRNA and proteins was decreased in all treatment groups, especially in the SLR group （P〈 0.05）. Conclusion SLISR may protect liver against injury included by lipid metabolism disorders in KCs through LXRα/ SREBP-1 c signaling pathway, which may be an important mechanism for the prevention and treatment of NAFLD.展开更多
文摘An acute skin injury model using continuous tape tearing was established,and studies the application of this model in the evaluation of soothing effects through instrument evaluation.30 healthy adult subjects were selected as the research subjects,and an acute skin model was established on the forearm flexion side of the subjects.The skin color a^(*)value and transdermal water loss rate(TEWL)value of the blank and experimental groups were tested using instruments.The results showed that at 15 and 30 minutes after using the sample,the growth values of a^(*)value and TEWL value in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the blank group(P<0.05),the acute skin lesion model can effectively evaluate the soothing effect of cosmetics.
文摘The soothing efficacy of baby moisturizer was evaluated by analyzing the changes of inflammatory cytokines in vitro and human efficacy tests.RAW264.7 cells were induced by Lipopolysaccharide(LPS) to establish a cell inflammation model in vitro,and the inflammatory cytokines of Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and NO were detected to observe the inhibitory effect of baby moisturizer in vitro.The non-toxic concentration of baby moisturizer was detected by MTT assay,the level of IL-6 in RAW264.7 cells supernatant was detected by ELISA kits,and the level of NO in RAW 264.7 cells supernatant was detected by Griess reagent.Dexamethasone was used as the positive control.At the same time,the hydration of the stratum corneum,transepidermal water loss (TEWL),erythema index,the redness of skin (a^(*) value) and the proportion of redness area in facial cheekbones were detected after using the baby moisturizer for 28 days.The experiment results showed that the baby moisturizer at a non-toxic concentration of 0.3 mg/mL,could significantly reduce IL-6 and NO in RAW264.7 cells supernatant,meanwhile it could significantly enhance the hydration of the stratum corneum,and reduce the TEWL,erythema index,the redness of skin (a^(*) value) and the proportion of redness area.In conclusion,the baby moisturizer (0.3 mg/mL) can restrain inflammatory cytokines in vitro and can also significantly improve human facial skin irritation,which can be considered to have soothing efficacy.
文摘Preliminary exploration of the soothing,oil control,acne removing effects and its mechanisms of Artemisia annua extract.The soothing effect of Artemisia annua extract was tested by hyaluronidase biochemical reaction.The soothing and oil-controlling effects were investigated by cell model.The inhibitory effect on propionibacterium acnes was studied by suspension quantification.The results showed that Artemisia annua extract could effectively inhibit the degradation of hyaluronic acid(P<0.01).Artemisia annua extract significantly inhibited the secretion of inflammatory cytokines TNF-αand IL-6 in RAW264.7 cells(P<0.05).Artemisia annua extract at 0.5%,0.25%,0.125%could significantly inhibit the secretion of oil by SZ95 cells(P<0.05).The minimum inhibitory concentration of Artemisia annua extract against propionibacterium acnes was 0.625%,and the inhibitory rate against propionibacterium acnes increased with the increase of the concentration of Artemisia annua extract.In summary,Artemisia annua extract can achieve acne efficacy through soothing and oil control,and this function may be achieved by reducing hyaluronic acid degradation,inhibiting inflammatory pathways produced by inflammatory factors TNF-αand IL-6,inhibiting oil secretion,and inhibiting the growth of propionibacterium acnes.
文摘In order to assess the responses of different skin types stimulated by tape stripping,after which two kinds of brand cosmetics of cream and hydrogel,were separately applied to evaluate the individual soothing effect of the product on different skin types.A total of 30 volunteers aged 18~65 years were recruited,which were divided into four groups(oily,dry,normal and combined)according to the self-oiling ability of facial and T zones.Four 3 cm×3 cm of skins on inner forearm of each volunteer were chosen and randomly marked as blank,negative control,soothing cream and soothing gel.The blank area was kept untreated,and the remaining areas were tape-stripped by 10 times(Transparent universal 1527C-1,3M China Co.,Ltd.,)to disrupt the skin corneum and induce erythema.Images,erythema index(EI)and transcutaneous water loss rate(TEWL)of the marked skin areas before and 5 min after tape-stripping were taken to assess the distinct responses of different skin type to the taping treatment;Ten minutes after tape-stripping,The soothing products were applied to the test area,the skin images,EI and TEWL at 20 min and 50 min(corresponding to 30 min and 60 min after tape-stripping,respectively)were measured after cosmetics application to compare and evaluate the soothing effects of cream and hydrogel on different skin types.Results showed that different skin displayed diverse reactions to the tape-stripping,and the oily skin was more sensitive with longer duration of erythema than other skin types.After the application of soothing products,both cream and hydrogel could relieve skin erythema,while the soothing effects are dependent both on skin types and the cosmetic base materials:Hydrogel has a better efficacy in alleviating erythema and TEWL of dry skin,while the cream was more effective on normal,oily and combined skin types.The results suggest that the modelling method for soothing evaluation should consider the skin types of the volunteers,and the cosmetics of different base materials might have the target skin types.
文摘To explore the method of evaluating the soothing effect of human skin damage,a human skin damage model was established using UV light induction.Four test areas were set up,namely blank control area,UV damage prevention and soothing area,immediate soothing area after UV damage and soothing area after UV damage.Five skin parameters,including skin melanin,red pigment value,skin pigmentation value,a*value,and skin redness value,were used to characterize skin pigmentation before and after using the sample Changes in properties such as skin erythema and skin pigment.The results showed that the method showed significant changes in the skin condition of volunteers before and after using the sample,and could achieve a soothing effect,which has certain reference significance.

文摘Objective This study aimed to examine the sleep arrangements and soothing methods and to assess their associations with sleep problems among children aged<3 years in China.Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 2019 from six provinces in China.A total of 1,195 caregivers of children aged 0–35 months were included in the study.Data on sleep arrangements,soothing methods,and sleep problems(i.e.,frequent night awakenings and difficulty falling asleep)were assessed using the Brief Infant Sleep Questionnaire.The reasons for bed-sharing in sleep arrangements were recorded using a self-designed questionnaire.Results The bed-sharing practice was very prevalent at any age,which ranged from 69.9%to 78.3%.Most infants fell asleep while feeding or being rocked/held before age 12 months.By age 35 months,62.4%of the children fell asleep in bed near parents.The most common reasons for bed-sharing were breastfeeding/feeding and convenience.Parental involvement when falling asleep was significantly related with frequent night awakenings and difficulty falling asleep.No association was found between bed-sharing and sleep.Conclusion Bed-sharing and parental involvement were very common among Chinese children aged<3 years.Children who fall asleep with parental involvement were more likely to have sleep problems.

文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of Soothing liver therapy on infertile women undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET)and to explore its mechanism.METHODS:Fifty-eight women with tubal infertility were randomized into two groups:30 in an experimental group treated with Xiaoyao powder(Shugan)plus gonadotropin-releasing hormone analog(GnRHa)/follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)/human chorionic gonadotropin(hCG)and 28 in the control group who were treated with GnRHa/FSH/hCG only.The total gonadotropin(Gn)doses required,endometrial thickness,oocyte numbers,high quality embryo production rate and pregnancy rate of the two groups were compared.The concentration of growth differentiation factor-9(GDF-9)in follicular fluid was detected by western blotting and the expression of GDF-9 mRNA in granulosa cells was measured using reverse tran-scription-polymerase chain reaction amplification.RESULTS:In the experimental group,the Gn dose was significantly lower than that in the control group;the endometrial thickness,high quality embryo production and pregnancy rates were significantly higher and the expression of GDF-9 mRNA was also significantly higher than in the control group(all P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Shugan treatment can improve the pregnancy rate of women with tubal infertility;its mechanism is possibly related to the increased expression of GDF-9 in granulosa cells.
文摘p-Hydroxyacetophenone(p-HAP)was used as preservatives in cosmetics recently,their new efficacy was rarely reported.Here,We evaluate the soothing and oil control efficacy of p-HAP in vitro cells,providing a new efficacy basis for its application in cosmetics.The content of nitric oxide(NO),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-6(IL-6)were determined in LPS-induced RAW264.7 and lipid contents were determined in testosterone-induced SZ95.The results revealed that p-HAP attenuated pro-inflammatory cytokines,such as NO,TNF-αand IL-6(P<0.01).Simultaneously,0.05mg/mL of p-HAP also inhibited the formation of lipid droplets in human sebocytes,with 17.64%of inhibition(P<0.001).These findings may be beneficial in the application of p-HAP as an efficacy ingredient in cosmetics,which may have a soothing and oil control efficacy according to the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines and lipid contents.
文摘Present study is aimed to investigate in vitro biological efficacy of Tambourissa trichophylla leaf extract(TTLE),a plant-derived ingredient in cosmetic,on antioxidant activity and soothing efficacy.The total phenols content of TTLE was determined by the Folin-Ciocalteu method,antioxidant activity was tested by DPPH free radical scavenging assay,hyaluronidase inhibition activity was performed by using in vitro enzyme inhibitory assays based on spectrophotometric evaluation,and the soothing efficacy of TTLE was performed by the expression of nitric oxide(NO)and interleukin-6(IL-6)produced by LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells.The results shown that the total phenolic content of TTLE was as high as 54%,the DPPH scavenging activity was 81.18%at the concentration of 25μg/mL,the hyaluronidase inhibition activity was 69.04%at the concentration of 5 mg/mL,and the inhibition of NO and IL-6 were 15.70%and 76.57%at 0.05 mg/mL,respectively.TTLE has a high content of total phenols,high antioxidant activity and soothing effects,which indicated that TTLE was a promising ingredient in the development and application of cosmetics.

文摘The skin is a formidable physical and biological barrier which communicates continuously with the outside of the body. And the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of human epidermis, plays a central role in the interaction between the cutaneous tissue and the external environment. The horny layer, and more generally the whole skin layers, avoid the penetration of harmful exogenous agents, produce molecules named anti-microbial peptides which impact the composition of the cutaneous microbiota, regulate the internal corporal temperature, avoid the water loss from the inside of the body and constitute an incredible efficient anti-oxidant network. Nevertheless, nowadays, the skin is more and more solicited by the different elements of the cutaneous exposome, including atmospheric pollution and solar radiations, which can cause a dramatic acceleration of the skin ageing process. As a consequence, due to the multifunctional protective role of the skin, during the recent decade the cosmetic industry invested massively in the development of new raw materials and end-products (dermo-cosmetics) able to preserve an optimal state of the skin regarding the external environment. Based on their physical-chemical properties thermal spring waters, which are extremely rich in inorganics ions, are interesting and powerful candidates to be part, as integral component, of new efficient dermo-cosmetic formulations dedicated to protect the skin from the external stimuli. The aim of the present work was to investigate and characterize the activity of Jonzac thermal spring water on the skin. Using different models, we proved for the first time that Jonzac thermal spring water reinforces the barrier function of the skin by modulating the expression of key markers including filaggrin and human beta defensin 2 on ex vivo human skin. The ex vivo and in vivo hydration activity, by Raman spectroscopy and corneometry respectively, has been also demonstrated. We have also shown that Jonzac thermal spring water ameliorates significantly the cutaneous microrelief in vivo. To conclude, we characterize the soothing effect of Jonzac thermal spring water by the analysis of histamine release in Substance P treated skin explants and by measuring the redness of the skin following UV exposure of the skin in vivo. We observed that both parameters decreased following a preventive treatment of the skin with Jonzac thermal spring water. Taken together our results indicate that Jonzac thermal spring water is a promising and powerful dermo-cosmetic which can be used to preserve an optimal state of the cutaneous tissue.
文摘In order to search an appropriate evaluation method for the soothing effect of cosmetics,the LPS-induced macrophage model,SDS-stimulated zebrafish embryos model and the clinical assessment were used.The results showed that the concentration of NO and IL-6 was significantly reduced in LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells when applied to two essences.The inhibition rate of NO-release was 85.87%and 84.57%,while IL-6 was 44.18%and 38.76%,respectively.Furthermore,the spontaneous rotating of zebrafish embryos was significantly decreased to 51.85%and 76.54%in SDS-stimulated zebrafish embryos model.In the 28 days of clinical assessment,the concentration of hydration was significantly increased to 55.56%and 39.61%,while the erythrodesis was significantly decreased to 4.75%and 6.68%.This indicates that the three evaluation methods of soothing efficacy in this research were effective,and can be used in the evaluation of cosmetics.

However, some cases could appear secondary disorders related to the location of the cyst and the role of decomposition enzymes of content, such as cyst rupture moving into the abdomen, bleeding, cystic infection, compression and internal fistula formation with adjacent organs and so on^([1]). But the spleen-related complications resulting from it are rare. There was 1 patient with pancreatic pseudocyst admitted to Dongfang Hospital Affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and the report is as follows.
文摘OBJECTIVE: To study the therapeutic effects of "soothing the liver method" on stress-related non-alcoholic fatty liver and its treatment mechanism on neuroendocrine-metabolic level. METHODS: The animal model of stress-related nonalcoholic fatty liver which is more in line with the modern social and clinical conditions was established by the method of chronic restraint compound high-fat feed. AST and ALT were detected by automatic biochemical analyzer. Serum cortisol and TNF-a were detected by radioimmunoassay. The relative expression of Nr3 c1 mRNA was detected by real-time quantitative PCR. RESULTS: Compared with the blank group, the scores of open field test, Nr3 c1 mRNA decreased, and AST, ALT, FFA were significantly increased in model group. Compared with model group, the open field test scores, Nr3 c1 mRNA increased,and Cor, AST, FFA, LDL, TNF-a, were significantly decreased in SNS group. CONCLUSIONS: "Soothing the liver method" can exert its therapeutic effect on stress-related non-alcoholic fatty liver on neuroendocrine-metabolic level.
文摘Objective: to evaluate the effect of palliative care on the quality of life of patients with end-stage leukemia. Methods: the patients with end-stage leukemia in Linfen People's Hospital of Shanxi Province were selected as the research object. The collection period was from June 2019 to June 2020. A total of 80 patients were randomly divided into two groups with 40 patients in each group. Relaxation nursing (observation group) and routine nursing (control group) were selected respectively. After the nursing, the indexes of the two groups of patients were analyzed and compared. Results: the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly different from that of the control group (p < 0.05). After nursing, the anxiety score and depression score of the observation group were significantly different from those of the control group (P < 0.05). The incidence of infection events in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (p < 0.05). In the comparison of quality of life scores between the two groups, the observation group was significantly higher (p < 0.05). Conclusion: the application of soothing care in patients with end-stage leukemia can effectively improve the relationship between nurses and patients, relieve the negative emotions of patients, improve the comfort level of patients, improve physical and mental symptoms, and improve the quality of life.

文摘To investigate the mechanisms of apigenin(API)and proanthocyanidins(PC)in soothing sensitive skin(SS),a mast cell degranulation model was established by stimulating RBL-2H3 cells with the calcium ionophore A23187.Based on the combinatorial experiments,it was found that when API and PC were combined at the molar ratios of 4∶1 and 2∶1,they exhibited the antagonistic effects on histamine release(combination index CI>1);when they are combined at the molar ratios of 1∶1,1∶2 or 1∶4,they showed the synergistic effects on histamine release(CI<1).Among them,the combination of API and PC at a molar ratio of 1∶1 showed the better potent synergistic antihistamine release effect(CI=0.70).Histamine is a hallmark of the mast cell degranulation,consequently,the combination of API and PC at a molar ratio of 1∶1 yields the better efficiency in inhibiting the mast cell degranulation with the lowest IC_(50)value.Compared to the utilization of API or PC alone,the IC_(50)value was reduced by 11.150 and 6.503μmol/L,respectively.Compared to the positive control paeonol(PA),the treatment with the combination significantly reduced theβ-hex secretion,decreased the F-actin cytoskeleton rearrangement,and markedly suppressed the release of TNF-α,IL-4,and MCP-1.Further studies on the signaling pathways related to the mast cell degranulation indicated that the combination effectively inhibited the intracellular Ca^(2+)influx and significantly suppressed the phosphorylation of calmodulin-dependent protein kinase(CaMK)and phospholipase C/protein kinase C(PLC/PKC).In summary,the combination of API and PC at a molar ratio of 1∶1 exhibited the better synergistic antagonistic effect on the histamine release,inhibited the mast cell degranulation model activation by reducing Ca^(2+)influx and inhibiting the activation of Ca^(2+)/CaMK and PLC/PKC pathways,stabilized the cell membranes,regulated the inflammatory factor secretion,and exerted an effect in alleviating sensitive skin.

文摘Objective: To investigate the mechanism of inflammatory-mediated toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)-p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(p38 MAPK) pathway in Kupffer cells(KCs) of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH) rats and the intervention effect of soothing Gan(Liver) and invigorating Pi(Spleen) recipes on this pathway. Methods: After 1 week of acclimatization, 120 Sprague-Dawley male rats were randomly divided into 8 groups using a random number table(n=15 per group): normal group, model group, low-dose Chaihu Shugan Powder(柴胡疏肝散, CHSG) group(3.2 g/kg), high-dose CHSG group(9.6 g/kg), low-dose Shenling Baizhu Powder(参苓白术散, SLBZ) group(10 g/kg), high-dose SLBZ(30 g/kg) group, and low-and highdose integrated recipe(L-IR, H-IR) groups. All rats in the model and treatment groups were fed with a high-fat diet(HFD). The treatments were administrated by gastrogavage once daily and lasted for 26 weeks. The liver tissues were detected with hematoxylin-eosin(HE) and oil red O staining. Levels of liver lipids, serum lipids and transaminases were measured. KCs were isolated from the livers of rats to evaluate the mRNA expressions of TLR4 and p38 MAPK by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and proteins expressions of TLR4, p-p38 MAPK and p38 MAPK by Western blot. Levels of inflammatory cytokines including tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α), interleukin(IL)-1 and IL-6 in KCs were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: After 26 weeks of HFD feeding, HE and oil red O staining showed that the NASH model rats successfully reproduced typical pathogenesis and histopathological features. Compared with the normal group, the model group exhibited significant increases in body weight, liver weight, liver index, serum levels of total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and aspartate aminotransferase as well as TC and TG levels in liver tissues, and significant decrease in serum level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(P<0.05 or P<0.01), while those indices were significantly ameliorated in the H-IR group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Higher levels of TNF-α, IL-1 and IL-6 in KCs were observed in the model group compared with the normal group(P<0.01). Significant decreases in TNF-α, IL-1 and IL-6 were observed in the H-SLBZ, H-IR and L-IR groups compared with the model group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). The m RNA expressions of TLR4 and p38 MAPK and protein expressions of TLR4, p38 MAPK and p-p38 MAPK in KCs in the model group were significantly higher than the normal group(P<0.01), while those expression levels in the L-IR and H-IR groups were significantly lower than the model group(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusions: Inflammation in KCs might play an important role in the pathogenesis of NASH in rats. The data demonstrated the importance of TLR4-p38 MAPK signaling pathway in KCs for the anti-inflammatory effect of soothing Gan and invigorating Pi recipes.

文摘Objective： To explore the effect of Soothing Gan （肝） and invigorating Pi （脾） （SGIP） acupuncture treatment on the clinical symptoms and quality of life （QOL） in patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome （IBS-D）. Methods： With a single-blinded randomized control study adopted, 63 patients who met the inclusion criteria were assigned by a random number table to two groups, 31 in the treatment group and 32 in the drug control group. The treatment group received SGIP acupuncture therapy; while the control group was treated orally with pinaverium bromide. The treatment duration of both groups was 28 days. The clinical efficacy was evaluated and compared by scoring patient＇s symptom and QOL. Results： A significant difference was found by variance analysis in efficacies between the two groups （P〈0.01）, shown as the quicker initiation of effect （P〈0.05） and the more evident clinical improvement in symptoms along the increase in treatment duration, as well as the more significant elevation of QOL in the acupuncture treatment group （P〈0.01）. SGIP displayed its superiority especially in improving dysphoria, conflict behavior, dietary restrictions, and social responses. Conclusion： SGIP acupuncture treatment could effectively alleviate the degree and frequency of symptoms＇ attack in IBS-D patients, such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, abdominal distension, etc., markedly relieve the tenesmic sensation, with the efficacy better than that of pinaverium bromide, showing a preponderance in improving patient＇s QOL.

文摘Objective To investigate the mechanism of lipid metabolism disorders in Kupffer cells （KCs） of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease （NAFLD） rats mediated by LXRα-SREBP-lc pathway and the interference of soothing liver and invigorating spleen recipe （SLISR） on it. Methods SD male rats were randomly divided into five groups： normal, model, soothing liver recipe （SLR）, invigorating spleen recipe （ISR）, and soothing liver and invigorating spleen recipe （SLISR） groups. The rats in treatment groups were administered for 8 weeks. The liver tissue was stained with H＆E and oil red O. The levels of hepatic lipid and blood lipid were measured by biochemical analyzer. KCs were isolated from the livers of rats to evaluate the expression of LXRα, SREBP-1 C, and FAS mRNA by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR tests; LXRα, SREBP-1C, and FAS proteins were measured by Western blotting. Results The H＆E and oil red O staining results showed that the model rats successfully reproduced typical pathogenetic and histopathological features of NAFLD. The levels of hepatic lipid and blood lipid in the model rats were dramatically increased. Compared with the model group, the values of hepatic lipid and blood lipid in the treatment groups were significantly ameliorated （P〈 0.05, 0.01 ）. The yields of purified KCs from each rat were 2×10^7-3×10^7. The viability of KCs was higher than 95%, with the purity over 90.18%. Compared with the model group, the expression of LXRα, SREBP-1C, and FAS mRNA and proteins was decreased in all treatment groups, especially in the SLR group （P〈 0.05）. Conclusion SLISR may protect liver against injury included by lipid metabolism disorders in KCs through LXRα/ SREBP-1 c signaling pathway, which may be an important mechanism for the prevention and treatment of NAFLD.
