Among the few studies conducted on political participation in China,most, if not all, provided an urban-centric picture of participation with both Internet-based debate on certain topics or offline movement on a speci...Among the few studies conducted on political participation in China,most, if not all, provided an urban-centric picture of participation with both Internet-based debate on certain topics or offline movement on a specific issue.Little attention is paid to the role social media use which might play in rural politics in China. This paper takes it from here and looks at how factory nongmingong in China use social media to participate in rural politics, as well as the relationship between such use and political participation.We employ a processual approach to rural politics where rural politics is viewed as the interaction between individual participant and the structural forces,cultural or political, that comprise the current cultural nexus of power within the enlarged social landscape of rural politics. We will in this process examine the participation of their perception of rural politics, expression as well as action. By interviews and participant observation among nongmingong in this villa,ge, we demonstrated that their perception of the factory culture, the time limits imposed by the factory, and extant social networks on social media and the renting and mianzi principles attached to it are three important cultural forces shaping both their political use of social media and the observed political participation. The very affordance of friends and group chats offered by WeChat, when adopted by them, in our case, play a central role in this process.展开更多

Over one billion children worldwide inhabit countries or territories torn apart by armed conflict, war, or terrorism. Purpose: The purpose of this review was to identify the best evidence on the Resiliency Process and Political Socialization among Palestinian Children Exposed to Political Traumatic Experience. Methods: An integrative review was used to assess the resiliency process and political socialization among Palestinian Children Exposed to Political Traumatic Experience. Data search was between 2009 and 2019 using ProQuest, Nursing Journal Publications, EBSCO, Jordanian Database for Nursing Research, WHO online library, scholar Google scholar, science direct, and PubMed. A total of 8 articles met the eligibility criteria. Results: The eight reviewed articles adopted descriptive analytic and cross-sectional studies. Themes were: Impact of psychological trauma on children, Political socialization process and Resiliency among children. Conclusion: Reviewed articles regarding children reaction to trauma and resiliency process showed that children varied in their responses. The studies showed that children were vulnerable to psychological harms and consequences of trauma that might include PTSD and others behavioral problems. At the same time, the studies confirmed that despite the harmful consequences they had positive adaptation and abilities to resist.展开更多
Focusing on investment security along the Belt and Road(B&R)routes,this study analyzes the geopolitical environment(GE)of countries(regions)along the B&R routes from two dimensions:political and business envir...Focusing on investment security along the Belt and Road(B&R)routes,this study analyzes the geopolitical environment(GE)of countries(regions)along the B&R routes from two dimensions:political and business environment(PBE)and political orientation.The results show that since the proposal of the B&R Initiative in 2013,the PBE of these countries(regions)has shown slight improvement but with significant spatial disparities,presenting a pattern of better conditions in the eastern and western regions and poorer conditions in the central regions.There is no strong spatial dependence in the PBE among these countries(regions),but a weak homogenization trend toward improvement is observed.Low-scoring countries(regions)are mainly located in former Commonwealth of Independent States(CIS),the Middle East,and the Indochina Peninsula.These countries(regions)exhibit weak interconnections,demonstrating a characteristic of“similarity without harmony.”(a Confucian concept describing nations sharing superficial traits but lacking substantive cooperation).Therefore,the B&R construction should adopt a clustered and contiguous breakthrough strategy.The evaluation of political orientation reveals significant political divergence among B&R countries(regions),with varying attitudes toward China.Moreover,as pro-China sentiment increases,the PBE tends to deteriorate.This negative correlation suggests that countries(regions)actively engaging in the B&R Initiative generally face political instability and economic underdevelopment,and seek to leverage the B&R Initiative for domestic growth.Consequently,while prioritizing investment security,it is important for the B&R construction to actively promote Chinese values in order to garner support and participation from countries(regions)with more favorable PBE.Given the generally underdeveloped PBE and political polarization among B&R countries(regions),China urgently needs to develop a geopolitical theory aligned with the B&R's geopolitical model to safeguard its advancement.Simultaneously,China should reshape geopolitical narratives to reclaim discourse power in political interpretation.This study provides preliminary insights into cross-country(regional)political polarization and contributes to advancing GE research.展开更多

A system which supports these visualizations was built. The paper addresses the impacts of political exits on capital structure policies,through studying the impact of the Brexit deal on the UK's companies listed at FTSE 100 as a practical case.The study is divided int...The paper addresses the impacts of political exits on capital structure policies,through studying the impact of the Brexit deal on the UK's companies listed at FTSE 100 as a practical case.The study is divided into two periods:the first before the Brexit deal(2010-2015)and the second after the referendum until Brexit(2016-2021).Data were collected from the annual reports of the UK companies and the FTSE 100 database.Moreover,capital structure policies were studied by analyzing the determinants such as long-term debt over total equity,profitability,tangibility,liquidity,propensity to pay dividends,size,and political factor-Brexit.The results show that there is a direct relationship between political exits and capital structure.Also,the results show that the financial ratios are different between the two periods(before and after Brexit),where it seems that the capital structure variables were affected starting from the referendum period,political negotiations between the two parties,and then Brexit(2016-2021).In addition,the correlation matrix shows that long-term debt over total equity has a negative correlation with profitability,liquidity,and political factors,where it seems that long-term debt over total equity has a positive correlation with tangibility,size,and paying dividends.Moreover,the results show that political shocks were affecting the FTSE 100 performance starting from 2016 until 2021.The study could be useful for financial and economic academics.Moreover,the study could be helpful for EU members and the UK government,taking into consideration the interests of the UK and EU where any future policies or laws will affect the financial and economic sectors of the two parties.展开更多

文摘Deeply exploring the ideological and political elements of various courses in universities and integrating ideological and political education into the entire teaching process is the development trend of ideological and political education in universities under the new situation.Investment has strong characteristics of modernity,practicality,universality,and interest,which naturally give this professional course advantages in carrying out ideological and political practices and make it easy to form a broad consensus on ideological and political concepts.This article combines the characteristics of the investment course,guided by the ideological and political teaching goals of the investment course,and fully utilizes various teaching modes to explore and integrate ideological and political elements into the investment course.Finally,it evaluates the ideological and political teaching of the investment course,aiming to improve the quality of ideological and political teaching and achieve comprehensive education for all students throughout the entire process.
文摘Political discussions are characterized by conflicts of interest, and decisions are made based on negotiations. In general, participants need to reinforce their opinions and influence other participants. In this context, it is important to know how allies and opponents are positioned, in order to understand the discussion dynamics and plan adequate actions. This paper suggests the use of social network visualizations to explicit oppositions and alliances in order to support the understanding and following of political discussions. A system which supports these visualizations was built. An experiment performed to test the proposed visualizations showed to which extent they can be more efficient in identifying information about clashes and alliances than an online discussion system can.

文摘In the context of modern holistic education,integrating“ideological and political education”into specialized courses is a new requirement for professional teaching.In order to seamlessly integrate ideological education into academic disciplines through subtle influence,it is essential to identify and design suitable ideological elements.Based on the interdisciplinary nature of chemical engineering curricula,this paper focuses on core socialist values,patriotic sentiment,professional ethics,and the spirit of scientific innovation.It identifies key ideological elements such as“a strong chemical industry makes a strong nation”and“patriotism and maritime power,”analyzes their manifestations of value,and explores their relevance and significance in ideological education across different chemical engineering courses.
文摘Curriculum ideology and politics is the key to carry out the mission of educating people in colleges and universities in the new era.On the problem of integrating the linear algebra course into the ideological and political education,it was expounded from four aspects:the necessity of integrating the course ideology and politics into the teaching of linear algebra,exploring curriculum ideological and political elements,the case design of integrating the course ideology and politics teaching,and the expected effect of integrating linear algebra courses into ideological and political education in the curriculum,in order to have the reference and help function to the educator.

文摘This paper focuses on the ideological and political construction of the“Introduction to High-Speed Railway”course in higher vocational colleges.Based on the national policy orientation of ideological and political education in courses and the talent demands of the high-speed railway industry,it comprehensively employs methods such as literature research and questionnaire surveys to analyze the current status and problems of ideological and political construction in the course.The research finds that there are issues such as insufficient in-depth exploration of ideological and political elements,inadequate teacher capabilities,monotonous teaching methods,and the absence of an evaluation system.In response to these problems,it proposes strategies such as deepening the exploration of ideological and political elements,enhancing teacher capabilities,innovating teaching methods,and improving the evaluation system.It aims to construct a collaborative system of“knowledge impartation+value guidance+practical education”,providing theoretical and practical references for the ideological and political construction of courses in higher vocational transportation-related majors.
文摘Chinese political discourse is the embodiment of the will of the people,the will of the CPC and the will of China.Conceptual metaphor is closely related to political discourse.Taking the 2022 government work report as an example,this paper discusses the metaphor problems in political discourse,and analyzes the metaphorical expressions and their functions in political discourse.Based on this,eco-translatology is used to analyze the translation strategies of metaphors in political discourse to help Chinese political discourse get better publicity.
文摘The paper addresses the impacts of political exits on capital structure policies,through studying the impact of the Brexit deal on the UK's companies listed at FTSE 100 as a practical case.The study is divided into two periods:the first before the Brexit deal(2010-2015)and the second after the referendum until Brexit(2016-2021).Data were collected from the annual reports of the UK companies and the FTSE 100 database.Moreover,capital structure policies were studied by analyzing the determinants such as long-term debt over total equity,profitability,tangibility,liquidity,propensity to pay dividends,size,and political factor-Brexit.The results show that there is a direct relationship between political exits and capital structure.Also,the results show that the financial ratios are different between the two periods(before and after Brexit),where it seems that the capital structure variables were affected starting from the referendum period,political negotiations between the two parties,and then Brexit(2016-2021).In addition,the correlation matrix shows that long-term debt over total equity has a negative correlation with profitability,liquidity,and political factors,where it seems that long-term debt over total equity has a positive correlation with tangibility,size,and paying dividends.Moreover,the results show that political shocks were affecting the FTSE 100 performance starting from 2016 until 2021.The study could be useful for financial and economic academics.Moreover,the study could be helpful for EU members and the UK government,taking into consideration the interests of the UK and EU where any future policies or laws will affect the financial and economic sectors of the two parties.

文摘The digital-intelligent era presents both opportunities and challenges for specialized course education in universities.Based on the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education,this study takes the course“Design and Guidance of Science Play Performance Activities”as an example to explore practical pathways for integrating ideological and political education into specialized courses within a digital-intelligent context.Employing literature review and action research methodologies,the study constructs a digital-intelligent teaching model,develops digital ideological and political resources,innovates teaching methods,and systematically identifies and deeply integrates ideological and political elements into the curriculum.Through practical validation,the research summarizes a curriculum design framework grounded in Tyler’s principles and a digital-intelligent teaching model based on BOPPPS,providing transferable pathways for ideological and political education in specialized courses.Furthermore,it offers theoretical support and practical references for the deep integration and innovative application of digital-intelligent technologies in education.
