With the intensifying competition among cities in the Yangtze River Delta,talent has become a key strategic resource for urban development.However,many second-tier cities still face challenges in attracting and retain...With the intensifying competition among cities in the Yangtze River Delta,talent has become a key strategic resource for urban development.However,many second-tier cities still face challenges in attracting and retaining high-level talents.Taking Jinhua as a case study,this paper integrates urban amenity theory and social embeddedness theory to analyze the mechanisms influencing urban talent attraction.A comprehensive evaluation index system is constructed,including six dimensions:living environment,economic potential,government policies and public services,technological innovation,social embeddedness,and settlement cost.The entropy weight method is applied to determine the weights of the indicators and evaluate Jinhua’s talent attraction capacity.The results show that economic potential,technological innovation,and living environment play significant roles in attracting talents,while social embeddedness and settlement cost influence talent retention.Based on the findings,policy suggestions are proposed to improve urban livability,strengthen talent social networks,and optimize talent policies.This study enriches the analytical framework of urban talent attraction and provides policy implications for second-tier cities.展开更多
Faced with the challenges of social transformation brought by the accelerated aging of the population in China,constructing an active aging perspective has become a core strategy to promote the modernization of elderl...Faced with the challenges of social transformation brought by the accelerated aging of the population in China,constructing an active aging perspective has become a core strategy to promote the modernization of elderly social governance.As the main venue for elderly education and culture,elderly universities should play the role of a main body in participating in social governance and promote the implementation of the active aging perspective in the whole society.Based on an empirical survey of some elderly universities in Zhejiang Province,this study introduces the theoretical basis of embeddedness theory,summarizes the practical models of these universities participating in social governance from three dimensions-subject empowerment,diversified co-cultivation,and resource integration-and proposes optimization paths in light of practical dilemmas.By deeply integrating elderly education with the needs of social governance,this study promotes elderly universities to play a hub role in governance.This not only greatly satisfies the elderly group's needs for health,participation,and security opportunities,but also helps the elderly realize the re-creation of social value,and provides a sustainable practical plan for the modernization of the aging social governance system.展开更多
