The effects of n(Zn)/n(Ti) on the microstructures of TiO2-ZnO films were investigated by SEM, AFM, Raman and XPS, and their photocatalytic decomposition of methyl orange solutions was evaluated. The results show that an increase in n(Zn)/n(Ti) typically results in a decrease in the grain size of composite films firstly and then an increase of grain size, while an increase in n(Zn)/n(Ti) leads to an increase in film roughness firstly and then a decrease in film roughness. Both grain size and roughness of TiO2-ZnO films reach the maximum and minimum at n(Zn)/n(Ti) of 1/9.3, respectively. The n(Zn)/n(Ti) shows little effect on the valences of Zn and Ti elements, which mainly exist in the form of TiO2 and ZnO phases. The n(Zn)/n(Ti) has influence on the amount of anatase/rutile TiO2 heterojunction in the film. With increase of the n(Zn)/n(Ti), the absorption intensity of the composite film increases and the absorption region extends to 450 nm, which is redshifted as much as 150 nm in comparison with the pure TiO2 films. However, the photocatalytic abilities of heterogeneous composite films do not depend on the n(Zn)/n(Ti) but rather on the microstructures of the TiO2-ZnO composite films. Degradation rate of the film reaches the maximum and the photocatalytic decomposition of pollutants works best when n(Zn)/n(Ti)=1:9.3.展开更多

Au/SiO2 nano-composite thin films with 3 vol% to 65 vol% Au are prepared by inductively coupled plasma sputtering. Au particles as perfect spheres with diameters between 10 nm and 30 nm are uniformly dispersed in the SiO2 matrix. Optical absorption peaks due to the surface plasmon resonance of Au particles are observed. The absorption property is enhanced with the increase of Au content, showing a maximum value in the films with 37 vol% Au. The absorption curves of the Au/SiO2 thin films with 3 vol% to 37 vol% Au accord well with the theoretical optical absorption spectra obtained from Mie resonance theory. Increasing Au content over 37 vol% results in the partial connection of Au particles, whereby the intensity of the absorption peak is weakened and ultimately replaced by the optical absorption of the bulk. The band gap decreases with Au content increasing from 3 vol% to 37 vol % but increases as Au content further increases.展开更多

The surface morphology and the optical properties of the composite film were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet- visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL). The photocatalytic activity of the samples was evaluated by the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange (MO) aqueous solution under visible light irradiation. The results indicate that the Cu2O/TiO2/Pt composite films are made up of three layers which are Pt layer, anatase-TiO2 layer and Cu2O layer from bottom to top. The surface of the films is even and composed of regular-shaped spherical particles. The photocatalytic activity of the Cu2O/TiO2/Pt three-layer film is much higher than that of the Cu2O/TiO2 double-layer film. Such enhancement is ascribed to the presence of Pt layer, which further inhibits the photogenerated electron-hole recombination, prolongs the lifetime of the photogenerated carriers, increases the quantum efficiency and hence improves the photocatalytic activity of the film effectively.展开更多

The film was characterized using XRD, AFM, and UV. The result showed that the TiO2 film consists of both cuboid-shaped and anatase-phased TiO2 nanoparticles. The average grain size of TiO2 in the film was approximately 20 nm. After coating with PANI, the particle was changed into irregular spherical-shaped and the size was increased up to approximately 35 nm in diameter. UV-Vis spectroscopy analysis indicated that the coating of TiO2 with PANI would result in an enhancement of photocatalytic efficiency and an extension of the photoresponse of TiO2. The band gap of the PANI/TiO2 film was 3.18 eV. The photocatalytic property of the film was evaluated by the degradation of rhodamine-B. It was found that 67.1% and 83.2% of rhodamine-B could be degraded under sunlight and UV irradiation within 120 min using the PANI/TiO2 composite t-tim as photocatalyst.展开更多

The particle size was observed by FE-SEM. Optical properties of the films were investigated by UV-visible spectra. Structural and magnetic characteristics were investigated through FT-IR and VSM. The transparency of the Fe2O3/SiO2 nano-composite films decreased with the content of the Fe2O3. Water and organic solvent in the films were evaporated with heat treatment, so the transparency of the films was enhanced under high temperature. It is also found that the saturation magnetization (Ms) of the films increases with the temperature. As the content of the Fe2O3 increases, when the content of the Fe2O3 is around 30wt%, the Ms of the films has a maximum value.展开更多

The effects of the process conditions, including infiltration temperature, infiltration time, and gas flux were investigated. The energy dispersion spectra (EDS) result showed that the main elements of this composite contained Si, N, and O. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results indicated that phases of the composite before and after treatment at 1350℃ were all amorphous. A little fiber pull-out was observed on the cross section of the composite by scan electron microscope (SEM). As a result, the composite exhibited good thermal stability, but an appropriate interface was necessary between the fiber and the matrix.展开更多

To develop a simple and effective method for improving the photodegradation efficiency of pollutants in surface water, we herein examined the preparation of a P25-TiO2 composite film on a cement substrate via a sol–gel method. In this case, Rhodamine B(Rh B)was employed as the target organic pollutant. The self-generated TiO2 film and the P25-TiO2 composite film were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), N2 adsorption/desorption measurements, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS). The photodegradation efficiencies of the two films were studied by Rh B removal in water under UV(ultraviolet) irradiation. Over 4 day exposure, the P25-TiO2 composite film exhibited higher photocatalytic performance than the self-generated TiO2 film. The photodegradation rate indicated that the efficiency of the P25-TiO2 composite film was enhanced by the addition of the rutile phase Degussa P25 powder. As such, cooperation between the anatase TiO2 and rutile P25 nanoparticles was beneficial for separation of the photo-induced electrons and holes. In addition, the influence of P25 doping on the P25-TiO2 composite films was evaluated. We found that up to a certain saturation point, increased doping enhanced the photodegradation ability of the composite film. Thus, we herein demonstrated that the doping of P25 powders is a simple but effective strategy to prepare a P25-TiO2 composite film on a cement substrate, and the resulting film exhibits excellent removal efficiency in the degradation of organic pollutants.展开更多

文摘Hollow B–SiO2@TiO2 composites were prepared by the wet chemical deposition method starting from TiCl4 and hollow B–SiO2 microspheres.TiO2 layers composed of anatase TiO2 nanoparticles were coated on the surfaces of the hollow B–SiO2 microspheres probably through the formation of Ti—O—Si and Ti—O—B bonds.A great number of—OH groups were also present at the TiO2 coating layers. The presence of Ti—O—Si bonds and Ti—O—B bonds resulted in the formation of defects in the TiO2 coating layers, which decreased the band gap of the TiO2 coating layers to ca.3.0 eV and endowed the TiO2 coating layers with visible light absorption performance. The buoyancy hollow B–SiO2@TiO2 composites exhibited high photocatalytic activities for the degradation of ammonia-nitrogen and green algae. The conversion of ammonia-nitrogen reached 65%when the degradation of ammonia-nitrogen(43 mg·L-1 at pH value of 8)was catalyzed by the B–SiO2@TiO2(100:10)composite under the simulated solar light irradiation at 35°C for 660 min.The green algae(5 mg·L-1)were almost completely degraded over the B–SiO@TiO2(100:20)photocatalyst under the visible light irradiation at 35°C for 510 min.

文摘Cu2O/TiOa/Pt three-layer films were deposited on glass substrates using magnetron sputtering method. Such enhancement is ascribed to the presence of Pt layer, which further inhibits the photogenerated electron-hole recombination, prolongs the lifetime of the photogenerated carriers, increases the quantum efficiency and hence improves the photocatalytic activity of the film effectively.

文摘Supermacroporous composite cryogels embedded with SiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by radical cryogenic copolymerization of the reactive monomer mixture of acrylamide(AAm) and N,N-methylene-bis-acrylamide(MBAAm) containing SiO2 nanoparticles(mass ratios of nanoparticles to the monomer AAm from 0.01 to 0.08) under the freezing-temperature variation condition in glass columns. The properties of these composite cryogels were measured. The height equivalent to theoretical plate(HETP) of the cryogel beds at different liquid flow rates was determined by residence time distribution(RTD) using tracer pulse-response method. The composite cryogel matrix embedded with the mass fraction of SiO2 nanoparticles of 0.02 presented the best properties and was employed in the following graft polymerization.Chromatographic process of lysozyme in the composite cryogel grafted with 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid(AMPSA) was carried out to evaluate the protein breakthrough and elution characteristics. The chromatography can be carried out at relatively high superficial velocity,i.e.,15 cm·min-1,indicating the satisfactory mechanical strength due to the embedded nanoparticles.

文摘A PANI/TiO2 composite film deposited on the glass surface was successfully prepared using sol-gel dip-coating technique and chemical oxidation method. It was found that 67.1% and 83.2% of rhodamine-B could be degraded under sunlight and UV irradiation within 120 min using the PANI/TiO2 composite t-tim as photocatalyst.
文摘(PEO)8LiClO4-SiO2 composite polymer electrolytes(CPEs)were prepared by in-situ reaction,in which ethyl-orthosilicate(TEOS)was catalyzed by HCl and NH3.H2O,respectively.The ionic conductivity, the contact angle and the morphology of inorganic particles in the CPEs were investigated by AC impedance spectra, contact angle method and TEM.The conductivities of acid-catalyzed CPE and alkali-catalyzed CPE are 2.2×10-5and 1.1×10-5S/cm respectively at 30℃.The results imply that the catalyst plays an important role in the structure of in-situ preparation of SiO2,and influences the surface energy and conductivity of CPE films directly.Meanwhile, the ionic conductivity is related to the surface energy.

文摘Fe2O3/SiO2 nano-composite films were prepared by sol-gel technique combining heat treatment in the range of 100-900 ℃. As the content of the Fe2O3 increases, when the content of the Fe2O3 is around 30wt%, the Ms of the films has a maximum value.

文摘A silicon dioxide fiber-reinforced silicon nitride matrix (SiOJSi3N4) composite used for radomes was prepared by chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) process using the SiCl4-NH3-H2 system. As a result, the composite exhibited good thermal stability, but an appropriate interface was necessary between the fiber and the matrix.

文摘Herein,we report the victorious synthesis of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) on TiO_2 nanotubes(NTs)using a layer-by-layer(LbL) approach.Highly crystalline and homogenous thin films of MOFs were grown and characterized using XRD,SEM,FT-IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy. Moreover, the utilization of the MOF films as sensitizers was probed in bespoke Graetzel type liquid junction solar cells. The constructed cell performance revealed an I_(sc) of 1.16 mA cm^(–2),Vocof 0.63 V,FF of 0.33,and E_(ff) of 0.42%.Further,pumpprobe transient laser spectroscopy was performed to investigate the energy and charge transfer dynamics of the MOFs/TiO_2 NTs interface. The results indicated 86% injection efficiency. The ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy allows the investigation of this process and the differences between MOFs.It also showed that the relaxation of the MOF chromophores is in competition with electron injection in the Ti O2 motif. Thus this study provides a new insight into electron transfer from photoexcited metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) into titanium dioxide.

文摘Co−TiO2 nanocomposite films were prepared via magnetron sputtering at various substrate temperatures. The films comprise Co particles dispersed in an amorphous TiO2 matrix and exhibit coexisting ferromagnetic and superparamagnetic properties. When the substrate temperature increases from room temperature to 400℃,Co particles gradually grow, and the degree of Co oxidation significantly decreases.Consequently, the saturation magnetization increases from 0.13 to 0.43 T at the same Co content by increasing the substrate temperature from room temperature to 400℃.At a high substrate temperature, conductive pathways form among some of the clustered Co particles. Thus, resistivity rapidly declines from 1600 to 76μΩ·m.The magnetoresistive characteristic of Co−TiO2 films is achieved even at resistivity of as low as 76μΩ·m.These results reveal that the obtained nanocomposite films have low Co oxidation, high magnetization and magnetoresistance at room temperature.

文摘Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoplate/TiO_(2) nanowire and Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoflower/TiO_(2) nanowire composite films were successfully prepared using a hydrothermal method. The results show that the light absorption for Bi_(2)WO_(6)/TiO_(2) composite films is extended to the visible region after Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoplates and nanoflowers are assembled onto TiO_(2) nanowires.Furthermore,Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoflower/TiO_(2) nano wire composite film exhibits a better absorption property compared to Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoplate/TiO_(2) nanowire film, which is mainly ascribed to the narrower bandgap of Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoflower compared to that of Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoplate. The photocurrent density for Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoflower/TiO_(2) nanowire and Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoplate/TiO_(2) nanowire composite films can reach 95 and 62.5 μA cm-2,respectively,which are much higher than that obtained for a pure TiO_(2) nanowire film(25 μA cm-2).Meanwhile,under illumination, the pure TiO_(2) nanowire,Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoplate/TiO_(2) nanowire and Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoflower/TiO_(2) nanowire films can reduce the potential of the coupled 304 stainless steel in 3.5 wt.%NaCl solution by 299,719 and 739 mV,respectively.Thus,Bi_(2)WO_(6) nanoflower/TiO_(2) nanowire film is found to provide the best effective photocathodic protection for 304 stainless steel. This work not only provides an example of shape-dependent photocathodic protection based on Bi_(2)WO_(6) but also opens up new possibilities to design an ideal microstructure on the basis of semiconductor materials for future applications of photocathodic protection.

文摘TiO2 films have received increasing attention for the removal of organic pollutants via photocatalysis. Thus, we herein demonstrated that the doping of P25 powders is a simple but effective strategy to prepare a P25-TiO2 composite film on a cement substrate, and the resulting film exhibits excellent removal efficiency in the degradation of organic pollutants.
文摘In this work, TiO2/Ti composite films were fabricated by 2-setp MCT and the following high temperature oxidation. Antibacterial activity of the composite films treated by ultrasonic cleaning to increase the performance reliability was examined. The prepared TiO2/Ti composite films showed high photocatalytic activity in the degradation of methylene blue solution. It is obvious that? TiO2/Ti composite films have antibacterial activity under UV irradiation.
