The...Recent bathymetric changes in the Changjiang Estuary under the influence of artificial regulation engineerings and basin reservoirs have been analyzed based on the maritime charts since 1997 and recent fieldworks. The results indicate a slight erosion of the channels in the upper and middle estuary, continuing deposition and seaward move of the mouth bar crest and intensifying erosion at the nearshore seabed. It is noteworthy that the morphological evolution caused by intensive human activities dominates over the changes from nature process. First, the riverbes are eroded overall in the South Branch (SB), the South Channel (SC) and the upper and middle reaches of the North Channel (NC). The nearshore seabed outside the river mouth is being eroded slightly, which is attributed to the declining sediment supply from the Changjiang Basin due to the construction of the Three Gorges Dam upstream. The sediment above the seabed is very active and coarsened, meanwhile, sand waves are becoming more distinct. Second, a deposition occurs in the North Brach (NB), the mouth of the NC, the mouth bars of the North Passage (NP) and the South Passage (SP) and especially the main channel of the NP, where it shows a massive siltation after the deep waterway project. The reasons for the recent changes are not only the dynamic structure in estuarine mouth bars, but also the supply of sediment resuspension in a local and offshore area. Meanwhile, the severe erosion and siltation in some reaches is related to the construction of estuarine engineerings. It is indicated that the Changjiang Estuary is gradually self-adjusted and adapting to the varying natural factors and intensive human activities. The study on the mechanism of self-regulation of the recent bathymetric changes in the Changjiang Estuary has important and practical significance.展开更多

Different water-transmitting coating fibers were prepared by coating fiber using coating material with different mass proportions of additives to adhesive. And the coating materials were made from three kinds of inorganic clays as additives respectively and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as adhesive. Furthermore, the surface morphology and water-transmitting capacity of coating fiber were studied by SEM, Perkin Elmer Diamond SII thermal multi-analyzer and instrument for quick measurement moisture M30. The experimental results indicate that water-transmitting coating fibers made from three kinds of clays all have water-transmitting capacity. The surface of water-transmitting coating fiber prepared by common clay T is continuous and compact, and the water-transmitting effect is better than coating fibers made from other clays.展开更多

The effect of hypertension in the elderly is higher than other age groups and it may lead to changes in their quality of life. By the increase of age, the amount of self-care behaviors of patients with hypertension decreased. Therefore, control and self-care behaviors are so important. This study has been conducted to study self-regulation behaviors and Associated Factors in elderly patients with hypertension. This study was a cross sectional, descriptive analytic study, which was conducted using multistage sampling on the elderly 60 years and above with hypertension. The sample size was calculated 365 and the final sample size of 380 people was considered by possible losses. The instruments include of demographic and self-regulatory behaviors questionnaire. The results showed that self-regulation of behavior was 42.3% of the total score. In terms of quality, only 7.4% of the elderly had good behavior, 46.6% of poor performance, and the rest were mediocre performance. Age (p = 0.03), gender (p = 0.02), education (p = 0.001), income level (p = 0.03) and marital status (p = 0.001) significantly associated with behaviors of self-regulation. The results generally indicate unfavorable self-regulation of elderly patients with hypertension. Some variables such as gender, age, marital status, education and income levels were associated with these behaviors. So paying attention to the education of the elderly in care centers is essential.展开更多

文摘Background:With the global popularity of short videos, particularly among young people, short video addiction has become a worrying phenomenon that poses significant risks to individual health and adaptability.Self-regulated learning(SRL)strategies are key factors in predicting learning outcomes. This study, based on the SRL theory, uses short video addiction as the independent variable,SRL strategies as the mediating variable, and learning well-being as the outcome variable, aiming to reveal the relationships among short video addiction,self-regulated learning, and learning well-being among Chinese college students. Methods:Using a cross-sectional study design and applying the snowball sampling technique,an online survey was administered to Chinese undergraduate students.A total of 706 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective response rate of 85.7%.The average age of the participants was 20.5 years. Results:The results of structural equation modeling indicate that 7 hypotheses were supported.Short video addiction was negatively correlated with self-regulated learning strategies(preparatory, performance, and appraisal strategy),while SRL strategies were positively correlated with learning well-being.Additionally,short video addiction had a mediating effect on learning well-being through the three types of SRL strategies. The three types of SRL strategies explained 39%of the variance in learning well-being.Conclusion:Previous research has typically focused on the impact of self-regulated learning strategies on media addiction or problematic media use. This study, based on the SRL model, highlights the negative issues caused by short video addiction and emphasizes the importance of cultivating self-regulation abilities and media literacy.Short video addiction stems from failures in trait self-regulation,which naturally impairs the ability to effectively engage in self-regulation during the learning process. This study confirms and underscores that the SRL model can serve as an effective theoretical framework for helping students prevent short video addiction, engage in high-quality learning, and consequently enhance their learning well-being.

文摘This paper examines the enduring impact of Jean-Baptiste Say’s A Treatise on Political Economy on classical economic theory and modern economic policy. It highlights Say’s Law,which posits that supply creates its own demand, challenging mercantilist views and emphasizing the intrinsic link between production and consumption. The paper also discusses Say’s vision of the entrepreneur as a catalyst for economic growth through innovation and resource allocation, distinguishing him from his contemporaries. It also explores his concept of self-regulating markets, tracing its origins to Adam Smith and its development through Say’s work, which suggests that individual actions in pursuit of self-interest lead to efficient resource allocation without significant government intervention. The paper acknowledges the critiques on Say’s Law,particularly during economic downturns, and the subsequent rise of Keynesian economics, which advocates government intervention to stimulate demand. Finally,it reflects on Say’s legacy, including his influence on subsequent economic thought, and the global application of his principles in various economic policies. The paper concludes that Say’s insights, while contested and flawed, remain important to understand market economies and shaping economic policy in the face of contemporary challenges.

文摘Building on the self-regulation theory and the gap model of service quality, this study proposes a conceptual model for investigating the help-seeking behavior of library users and the behaviors’underlying mechanisms in the context of university libraries. The study focuses on university students as the research participants, and employs a questionnaire survey to collect data. The data is then analyzed, and the model is evaluated using the regression and bootstrap methods. The results indicate that library anxiety can lead to help-seeking behavior, while it also diminishes the users’perception of their interaction quality with the librarians. Moreover, the interaction quality positively influences help-seeking behavior, and self-efficacy and artificial intelligence services exhibit both direct and indirect negative regulatory effects.

文摘Recent bathymetric changes in the Changjiang Estuary under the influence of artificial regulation engineerings and basin reservoirs have been analyzed based on the maritime charts since 1997 and recent fieldworks. The study on the mechanism of self-regulation of the recent bathymetric changes in the Changjiang Estuary has important and practical significance.

文摘Understanding the catalytic mechanism of non-noble transition metal electrocatalysts is crucial to designing high-efficiency,low-cost,and durable alternative electrocatalysts for water splitting which comprises the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) and oxygen evolution reaction(OER).In this work,Se-NiSe_(2) hybrid nanosheets with a self-regulated ratio of ionic Se(I-Se) to elemental Se(E-Se) are designed on carbon cloth by solution synthesis and hydrothermal processing. The effects of the I-Se/E-Se ratios on the electrocatalytic characteristics in HER and OER are investigated systematically both experimentally and theoretically. The optimized bifunctional electrocatalyst needs overpotentials of only 133 mV to deliver an HER current density of 10 mA cm^(-2) and 350 mV to generate an OER current density of 100 mA cm^(-2) in1.0 mol L^(-1) KOH.Based on the density-functional theory calculation,surface-adsorbed E-Se is beneficial to optimizing the electron environment and the adsorption/desorption free energy of hydrogen/water of the hybrid catalyst, consequently facilitating the electrocatalytic water splitting process. There is a proper I-Se/E-Se ratio to improve the catalytic activity and kinetics of the reaction and the optimized E-Se adsorption amount can balance the interactions between I-Se and E-Se,so that the catalyst can achieve appropriate Se-H binding and active site exposure for the excellent electrocatalytic activity. To demonstrate the practicality, the assembled symmetrical device can be powered by an AA battery to produce hydrogen and oxygen synchronously. Our results provide a deeper understanding of the catalytic mechanism of transition metal selenides in water splitting and insights into the design of high-efficiency and low-cost electrocatalysts in energy-related applications.

文摘Common clay, Kaolin and Bentonite were used as additives to prepare water-transmitting coating fiber, respectively, and the water-transmitting characteristic of coating fiber was studied. The surface of water-transmitting coating fiber prepared by common clay T is continuous and compact, and the water-transmitting effect is better than coating fibers made from other clays.
文摘Hypertension is one of the most important risk factors for heart diseases today. So paying attention to the education of the elderly in care centers is essential.
文摘Objective:Self-directed training represents a challenge in simulation-based training as low cognitive effort can occur when learners overrate their own level of performance. This study aims to explore the mechanisms underlying the positive effects of a structured self-assessment intervention during simulation-based training of mastoidectomy. Methods:A prospective, educational cohort study of a novice training program consisting of directed,self-regulated learning with distributed practice(5x3 procedures)in a virtual reality temporal bone simulator. The intervention consisted of structured self-assessment after each procedure using a rating form supported by small videos.Semi-structured telephone interviews upon completion of training were conducted with 13 out of 15 participants.Interviews were analysed using directed content analysis and triangulated with quantitative data on secondary task reaction time for cognitive load estimation and participants’self-assessment scores. Results:Six major themes were identified in the interviews:goal-directed behaviour, use of learning supports for scaffolding of the training, cognitive engagement, motivation from self-assessment,selfassessment bias, and feedback on self-assessment(validation).Participants seemed to self-regulate their learning by forming individual sub-goals and strategies within the overall goal of the procedure. They scaffolded their learning through the available learning supports. Finally, structured self-assessment was reported to increase the participants’cognitive engagement, which was further supported by a quantitative increase in cognitive load. Conclusions:Structured self-assessment in simulation-based surgical training of mastoidectomy seems to promote cognitive engagement and motivation in the learning task and to facilitate self-regulated learning.
