The secured access is studied in this paper for the network of the image remote sensing.Each sensor in this network encounters the information security when uploading information of the images wirelessly from the sensor to the central collection point.In order to enhance the sensing quality for the remote uploading,the passive reflection surface technique is employed.If one eavesdropper that exists nearby this sensor is keeping on accessing the same networks,he may receive the same image from this sensor.Our goal in this paper is to improve the SNR of legitimate collection unit while cut down the SNR of the eavesdropper as much as possible by adaptively adjust the uploading power from this sensor to enhance the security of the remote sensing images.In order to achieve this goal,the secured energy efficiency performance is theoretically analyzed with respect to the number of the passive reflection elements by calculating the instantaneous performance over the channel fading coefficients.Based on this theoretical result,the secured access is formulated as a mathematical optimization problem by adjusting the sensor uploading power as the unknown variables with the objective of the energy efficiency maximization while satisfying any required maximum data rate of the eavesdropper sensor.Finally,the analytical expression is theoretically derived for the optimum uploading power.Numerical simulations verify the design approach. 展开更多

This paper was motivated by the existing problems of Cloud Data storage in Imo State University, Nigeria such as outsourced data causing the loss of data and misuse of customer information by unauthorized users or hackers, thereby making customer/client data visible and unprotected. Also, this led to enormous risk of the clients/customers due to defective equipment, bugs, faulty servers, and specious actions. The aim if this paper therefore is to analyze a secure model using Unicode Transformation Format (UTF) base 64 algorithms for storage of data in cloud securely. The methodology used was Object Orientated Hypermedia Analysis and Design Methodology (OOHADM) was adopted. Python was used to develop the security model;the role-based access control (RBAC) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) to enhance security Algorithm were integrated into the Information System developed with HTML 5, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) version 3 and PHP7. This paper also discussed some of the following concepts;Development of Computing in Cloud, Characteristics of computing, Cloud deployment Model, Cloud Service Models, etc. The results showed that the proposed enhanced security model for information systems of cooperate platform handled multiple authorization and authentication menace, that only one login page will direct all login requests of the different modules to one Single Sign On Server (SSOS). This will in turn redirect users to their requested resources/module when authenticated, leveraging on the Geo-location integration for physical location validation. The emergence of this newly developed system will solve the shortcomings of the existing systems and reduce time and resources incurred while using the existing system. 展开更多

Exchange of data in networks necessitates provision of security and confidentiality.Most networks compromised by intruders are those where the exchange of data is at high risk.The main objective of this paper is to present a solution for secure exchange of attack signatures between the nodes of a distributed network.Malicious activities are monitored and detected by the Intrusion Detection System(IDS)that operates with nodes connected to a distributed network.The IDS operates in two phases,where the first phase consists of detection of anomaly attacks using an ensemble of classifiers such as Random forest,Convolutional neural network,and XGBoost along with genetic algorithm to improve the performance of IDS.The novel attacks detected in this phase are converted into signatures and exchanged further through the network using the blockchain framework in the second phase.This phase uses the cryptosystem as part of the blockchain to store data and secure it at a higher level.The blockchain is implemented using the Hyperledger Fabric v1.0 and v2.0,to create a prototype for secure signature transfer.It exchanges signatures in a much more secured manner using the blockchain architecture when implemented with version 2.0 of Hyperl-edger Fabric.The performance of the proposed blockchain system is evaluated on UNSW NB15 dataset.Blockchain performance has been evaluated in terms of execution time,average latency,throughput and transaction processing time.Experimental evidence of the proposed IDS system demonstrates improved performance with accuracy,detection rate and false alarm rate(FAR)as key parameters used.Accuracy and detection rate increase by 2%and 3%respectively whereas FAR reduces by 1.7%. 展开更多

The rise of the digital economy and the comfort of accessing by way of user mobile devices expedite human endeavors in financial transactions over the Virtual Private Network(VPN)backbone.This prominent application of VPN evades the hurdles involved in physical money exchange.The VPN acts as a gateway for the authorized user in accessing the banking server to provide mutual authentication between the user and the server.The security in the cloud authentication server remains vulnerable to the results of threat in JP Morgan Data breach in 2014,Capital One Data Breach in 2019,and manymore cloud server attacks over and over again.These attacks necessitate the demand for a strong framework for authentication to secure from any class of threat.This research paper,propose a framework with a base of EllipticalCurve Cryptography(ECC)to performsecure financial transactions throughVirtual PrivateNetwork(VPN)by implementing strongMulti-Factor Authentication(MFA)using authentication credentials and biometric identity.The research results prove that the proposed model is to be an ideal scheme for real-time implementation.The security analysis reports that the proposed model exhibits high level of security with a minimal response time of 12 s on an average of 1000 users. 展开更多

With the emergence of cloud technologies,the services of healthcare systems have grown.Simultaneously,machine learning systems have become important tools for developing matured and decision-making computer applications.Both cloud computing and machine learning technologies have contributed significantly to the success of healthcare services.However,in some areas,these technologies are needed to provide and decide the next course of action for patients suffering from diabetic kidney disease(DKD)while ensuring privacy preservation of the medical data.To address the cloud data privacy problem,we proposed a DKD prediction module in a framework using cloud computing services and a data control scheme.This framework can provide improved and early treatment before end-stage renal failure.For prediction purposes,we implemented the following machine learning algorithms:support vector machine(SVM),random forest(RF),decision tree(DT),naïve Bayes(NB),deep learning(DL),and k nearest neighbor(KNN).These classification techniques combined with the cloud computing services significantly improved the decision making in the progress of DKD patients.We applied these classifiers to the UCI Machine Learning Repository for chronic kidney disease using various clinical features,which are categorized as single,combination of selected features,and all features.During single clinical feature experiments,machine learning classifiers SVM,RF,and KNN outperformed the remaining classification techniques,whereas in combined clinical feature experiments,the maximum accuracy was achieved for the combination of DL and RF.All the feature experiments presented increased accuracy and increased F-measure metrics from SVM,DL,and RF. 展开更多

In this paper a novel modification is performed to the double guard Hill cipher in order to reduce the number of calculation to obtain the cipher text by using non-square matrices. In recent decades,intelligent transportation systems(ITS)have improved drivers’safety and have shared information(such as traffic congestion and accidents)in a very efficient way.However,the privacy of vehicles and the security of event information is a major concern.The problem of secure sharing of event information without compromising the trusted third party(TTP)and data storage is the main issue in ITS.Blockchain technologies can resolve this problem.A work has been published on blockchain-based protocol for secure sharing of events and authentication of vehicles.This protocol addresses the issue of the safe storing of event information.However,authentication of vehicles solely depends on the cloud server.As a result,their scheme utilizes the notion of partially decentralized architecture.This paper proposes a novel decentralized architecture for the vehicular ad-hoc network(VANET)without the cloud server.This work also presents a protocol for securing event information and vehicle authentication using the blockchain mechanism.In this protocol,the registered user accesses the event information securely from the interplanetary file system(IPFS).We incorporate the IPFS,along with blockchain,to store the information in a fully distributed manner.The proposed protocol is compared with the state-of-the-art.The comparison provides desirable security at a reasonable cost.The evaluation of the proposed smart contract in terms of cost(GAS)is also discussed. 展开更多

Cloud computing is the highly demanded technology nowadays.Due to the service oriented architecture,seamless accessibility and other advantages of this advent technology,many transaction rich applications are making use of it.At the same time,it is vulnerable to hacks and threats.Hence securing this environment is of at most important and many research works are being reported focusing on it.This paper proposes a safe storage mechanism using Elliptic curve cryptography(ECC)for the Transaction Rich Applications(TRA).With ECC based security scheme,the security level of the protected system will be increased and it is more suitable to secure the delivered data in the portable devices.The proposed scheme shields the aligning of different kind of data elements to each provider using an ECC algorithm.Analysis,comparison and simulation prove that the proposed system is more effective and secure for the Transaction rich applications in Cloud. 展开更多

Wireless power transfer(WPT) to support mobile and portable devices is an emerging wireless technique.Among all kinds of approaches,magnetic resonance coupling(MRC) is an excellent one for mid-range WPT,which provides better mobility,flexibility,and convenience due to its simplicity in hardware implementation and longer transmission distances.In this paper,we consider an MRCWPT system with multiple power transmitters,one intended power receiver and multiple unintended power receivers.We investigate the probabilistic robust beamforming designs and provide efficient algorithms to achieve the local optimums under two different criteria,i.e.,total source power minimization problem and min-max unintended receiving power restriction problem.As the problems are quite typical in robust design situations,our proposed robust beamformers can be conveniently applied to other probabilistic robust design problems,thus reduce the complexity as well as improve the beamforming performance.Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithms can significantly improve the performance as well as the robustness of the WPT system. 展开更多

Blockchain technology is critical in cyber security.The most recent cryptographic strategies may be hacked as efforts are made to build massive elec-tronic circuits.Because of the ethical and legal implications of a patient’s medical data,cyber security is a critical and challenging problem in healthcare.The image secrecy is highly vulnerable to various types of attacks.As a result,designing a cyber security model for healthcare applications necessitates extra caution in terms of data protection.To resolve this issue,this paper proposes a Lionized Golden Eagle based Homomorphic Elapid Security(LGE-HES)algorithm for the cybersecurity of blockchain in healthcare networks.The blockchain algorithm preserves the security of the medical image by performing hash function.The execution of this research is carried out by MATLAB software.The suggested fra-mework was tested utilizing Computed Tumor(CT)pictures and MRI image data-sets,and the simulation results revealed the proposed model’s profound implications.During the simulation,94.9%of malicious communications were recognized and identified effectively,according to the total outcomes statistics.The suggested model’s performance is also compared to that of standard approaches in terms of Root Mean Square Error(RMSE),Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR),Mean Square Error(MSE),time complexity,and other factors. 展开更多

The use of multimedia data sharing has drastically increased in the past few decades due to the revolutionary improvements in communication technologies such as the 4th generation(4G)and 5th generation(5G)etc.Researchers have proposed many image encryption algorithms based on the classical random walk and chaos theory for sharing an image in a secure way.Instead of the classical random walk,this paper proposes the quantum walk to achieve high image security.Classical random walk exhibits randomness due to the stochastic transitions between states,on the other hand,the quantum walk is more random and achieve randomness due to the superposition,and the interference of the wave functions.The proposed image encryption scheme is evaluated using extensive security metrics such as correlation coefficient,entropy,histogram,time complexity,number of pixels change rate and unified average intensity etc.All experimental results validate the proposed scheme,and it is concluded that the proposed scheme is highly secured,lightweight and computationally efficient.In the proposed scheme,the values of the correlation coefficient,entropy,mean square error(MSE),number of pixels change rate(NPCR),unified average change intensity(UACI)and contrast are 0.0069,7.9970,40.39,99.60%,33.47 and 10.4542 respectively. 展开更多

Mobile computing is the most powerful application for network com-munication and connectivity,given recent breakthroughs in thefield of wireless networks or Mobile Ad-hoc networks(MANETs).There are several obstacles that effective networks confront and the networks must be able to transport data from one system to another with adequate precision.For most applications,a frame-work must ensure that the retrieved data reflects the transmitted data.Before driv-ing to other nodes,if the frame between the two nodes is deformed in the data-link layer,it must be repaired.Most link-layer protocols immediately disregard the frame and enable the high-layer protocols to transmit it down.In other words,because of asset information must be secured from threats,information is a valu-able resource.In MANETs,some applications necessitate the use of a network method for detecting and blocking these assaults.Building a secure intrusion detection system in the network,which provides security to the nodes and route paths in the network,is a major difficulty in MANET.Attacks on the network can jeopardize security issues discovered by the intrusion detection system engine,which are then blocked by the network’s intrusion prevention engine.By bringing the Secure Intrusion Detection System(S-IDS)into the network,a new technique for implementing security goals and preventing attacks will be developed.The Secure Energy Routing(SER)protocol for MANETs is introduced in this study.The protocol addresses the issue of network security by detecting and preventing attacks in the network.The data transmission in the MANET is forwarded using Elliptical Curve Cryptography(ECC)with an objective to improve the level of security.Network Simulator–2 is used to simulate the network and experiments are compared with existing methods. 展开更多

Network management scheme must consider security challenges for the Mobile Agent paradigm to be accepted in the Internet computing world. Techniques to provide security solutions have been proposed and some have achieved good results. For example, it is possible to launch a code with a guarantee that it cannot attack the hosting sites. The main problem remaining, however, is protecting the mobile code against malicious service providers, the host problem. This paper proposed a Mobile Agent management scheme in a hierarchical level that provides to user a reliable and flexible global access to internet/network information services. We further described a protection mechanism to Mobile Agents against malicious hosts. As an effort to address host problems we first identify the kinds of attack that may be performed by malicious hosts, and propose a mechanism to prevent these attacks. The expanding and ubiquitous availability of the Internet of Things(IoT)have changed everyone’s life easier and more convenient.Same time it also offers a number of issues,such as effectiveness,security,and excessive power consumption,which constitute a danger to intelligent IoT-based apps.Group managing is primarily used for transmitting and multi-pathing communications that are secured with a general group key and it can only be decrypted by an authorized group member.A centralized trustworthy system,which is in charge of key distribution and upgrades,is used to maintain group keys.To provide longitudinal access controls,Software Defined Network(SDN)based security controllers are employed for group administration services.Cloud service providers provide a variety of security features.There are just a few software security answers available.In the proposed system,a hybrid protocols were used in SDN and it embeds edge system to improve the security in the group communication.Tree-based algorithms compared with Group Key Establishment(GKE)and Multivariate public key cryptosystem with Broadcast Encryption in the proposed system.When all factors are considered,Broadcast Encryption(BE)appears to become the most logical solution to the issue.BE enables an initiator to send encrypted messages to a large set of recipients in a efficient and productive way,meanwhile assuring that the data can only be decrypted by defining characteristic.The proposed method improves the security,efficiency of the system and reduces the power consumption and minimizes the cost. 展开更多

Vehicular Ad hoc Networks(VANETs)become a very crucial addition in the Intelligent Transportation System(ITS).It is challenging for a VANET system to provide security services and parallelly maintain high throughput by utilizing limited resources.To overcome these challenges,we propose a blockchain-based Secured Cluster-based MAC(SCB-MAC)protocol.The nearby vehicles heading towards the same direction will form a cluster and each of the clusters has its blockchain to store and distribute the safety messages.The message which contains emergency information and requires Strict Delay Requirement(SDR)for transmission are called safety messages(SM).Cluster Members(CMs)sign SMs with their private keys while sending them to the blockchain to confirm authentication,integrity,and confidentiality of the message.A Certificate Authority(CA)is responsible for physical verification,key generation,and privacy preservation of the vehicles.We implemented a test scenario as proof of concept and tested the safety message transmission(SMT)protocol in a real-world platform.Computational and storage overhead analysis shows that the proposed protocol for SMT implements security,authentication,integrity,robustness,non-repudiation,etc.while maintaining the SDR.Messages that are less important compared to the SMs are called non-safety messages(NSM)and vehicles use RTS/CTS mechanism for NSM transmission.Numerical studies show that the proposed NSM transmission method maintains 6 times more throughput,2 times less delay and 125%less Packet Dropping Rate(PDR)than traditional MAC protocols.These results prove that the proposed protocol outperforms the traditional MAC protocols. 展开更多

It concerns with confidentiality, integrity, and authentication. Public key cryptography provides an enormous revolution in the field of the cryptosystem. It uses two different keys where keys are related in such a way that, the public key can use to encrypt the message and private key can be used to decrypt the message. This paper proposed an enhanced and modified approach of RSA cryptosystem based on “n” distinct prime number. This existence of “n” prime number increases the difficulty of the factoring of the variable “N” which increases the complexity of the algorithm. In this approach, two different public key and private key generated from the large factor of the variable “N” and perform a double encryption-decryption operation which affords more security. Experiment on a set of a random number provided that the key generation time, analysis of variable “N”, encryption and decryption will take a long time compared to traditional RSA. Thus, this approach is more efficient, highly secured and not easily breakable. 展开更多

This new scheme does not require a special voting channel and communication can occur entirely over the existing Internet. This method integrates Internet convenience and cryptology. In the existing protocols either the tallier has to wait for the decryption key from voter till the voting process is over or the verification process has to wait until the election is over. But in the proposed single transaction voting protocol the entire voting process as well as the verification process is done as a single transaction compared to multiple transactions in the existing protocol. The advantage of single transaction is that it consumes less time that results in overall speeding up the voting process. It is shown that the proposed scheme satisfies the more important requirements of any e-voting scheme: completeness, correctness, privacy, security and uniqueness. Finally, the proposed protocol is compared with the existing protocols such as Simple, Two Agency, Blind Signatures and sensus protocols. 展开更多

In many domains of science and technology, as the need for secured transmission of information has grown over the years, a variety of methods have been studied and devised to achieve this goal. In this paper, we present an information securing method using chaos encryption. Our proposal uses only one chaotic oscillator both for signal encryption and decryption for?avoiding the delicate synchronisation step. We carried out numerical and electronic simulations of the proposed circuit using electrocardiographic signals as input. Results obtained from both simulations were compared and exhibited a good agreement proving the suitability of our system for signal encryption and decryption. 展开更多
