A principle was proposed for designing a method to seal anodized aluminum used in semiconductor processing apparatuses.Thermodynamic calculations and Fick’s second law were used to reveal trends in the metal ion deposition,deposition product stability,vapor pressures of halides for selected metal ions,the holding temperature,and time.Interactions between ion concentrations and the sealing temperature were also revealed.According to the design principles,anodized aluminum dipped in 1 mM Cr^(3+)ion solution and steam-sealed for 18 h exhibited the highest corrosion resistance when exposed to 5 wt.%HCl solution and HCl gas,verifying the designed results. 展开更多

Many variables affect the sealing performance, and their distribution characteristics are difficult to obtain with probabilistic methods owing to the high cost involved. Numerous problems in engineering are similar due to the appearance of small-sample parameters. In this study, the sealing reliability of an aviation seal was defined as the research object, and an interval uncertainty method and multidimensional response surface were proposed to calculate the sealing reliability.Based on this, we first analyzed the failure mechanism of the aviation seal and established a leakage rate model. Then, based on the non-probabilistic interval model, an interval uncertainty method was proposed to construct the analytical model. With reference to the limit state equation from the structural reliability theory, the multidimensional response surface was used for fast calculation.Then, we chose the single-cylinder gas steering gear used in aircraft as the case study, its sealing reliability in working and non-working statuses were calculated, and the results were verified with the actual maintenance records. By analyzing the sensitivity of some variables, we can improve the sealing reliability of the aviation seal by improving the surface roughness only if the cost allows.Finally, we consider that the method proposed in this study realizes the application of smallsample uncertainty analysis in reliability analysis, and could provide a feasible way to solve the similar problems in engineering with multidimensional and small-sample parameters. 展开更多

Fuzzy mathematics is an important means to quantitatively evaluate the properties of fault sealing in petroleum reservoirs.To accurately study fault sealing,the comprehensive quantitative evaluation method of fuzzy mathematics is improved based on a previous study.First,the single-factor membership degree is determined using the dynamic clustering method,then a single-factor evaluation matrix is constructed using a continuous grading function,and finally,the probability distribution of the evaluation grade in a fuzzy evaluation matrix is analyzed.In this study,taking the F1 fault located in the northeastern Chepaizi Bulge as an example,the sealing properties of faults in different strata are quantitatively evaluated using both an improved and an un-improved comprehensive fuzzy mathematics quantitative evaluation method.Based on current oil and gas distribution,it is found that our evaluation results before and after improvement are significantly different.For faults in"best"and"poorest"intervals,our evaluation results are consistent with oil and gas distribution.However,for the faults in"good"or"poor"intervals,our evaluation is not completelyconsistent with oil and gas distribution.The improved evaluation results reflect the overall and local sealing properties of target zones and embody the nonuniformity of fault sealing,indicating the improved method is more suitable for evaluating fault sealing under complicated conditions. 展开更多

Allan图分析对于断层封闭性的研究具有重要意义。以辽河坳陷兴隆台构造带太古界潜山油气藏为例,综合测录井、三维地震和实验分析测试资料,提出了一种基于高精度地质建模技术的改进Allan图法,用于分析断层封闭性。研究结果表明:(1)基于井-震联合建立的高精地质模型可解决井位数据缺失的问题,在精细剖析变质岩潜山各个区域的岩性发育情况及造缝能力的基础上,高精地质模型可准确刻画断层两侧的地层接触关系和岩性分布规律,经人工检查和调整可形成最终的改进Allan图。(2)研究区断面上共存在6种岩性对接模式,其中具备良好封闭性的对接模式包含角砾岩-泥岩、混合岩-泥岩、混合岩-片麻岩、混合岩-角砾岩、角砾岩-角砾岩,区外围断层F3、F5全封闭,区内渗漏点海拔为-4 390 m。(3)结合模糊数学方法、现场流体分布进行了交叉检验,各个区域分析结果与改进Allan图法分析的断层侧向封闭性吻合度高,说明该方法在变质岩潜山表现出优异的适用性和准确性,具有较高的应用价值。 展开更多

The Mooney-Rivlin hyperelastic material model was chosen to characterize NBR sealing, as it has been recommended in the similar applications. That is, NBR sealing was modeled as incompressible hyperelasticity, as well as the assumption of isotropic flow. The results illustrate the structural pressure and contact pressure on the contact surface, which shows that the NBR sealing mechanism is very suitable for sealing after dimension optimization. 展开更多

As one of the main reasons causing leakage heat load in a refrigerator,mass and heat transfer through refrigerator door seal is of great importance to be studied.In this paper,a model is presented for numerical simulation of mass and heat transfer process through refrigerator door seal,and an experiment apparatus is designed and set up as well for comparison.A two-dimensional model and tracer gas method are used in simulation and experiment,respectively.It can be found that the relative deviations of air infiltration rate between the simulated results and experimental results were less than 1%,and the temperature difference errors at two special points of the door seal were less than 2.03℃.In conclusion,the simulated results are in good agreement with the experimental results.This paper initially sets up a model that can accurately simulate the heat and mass transfer through the refrigerator door seal,and the model can be used in refrigerator door seal optimization research in the follow-up study. 展开更多

Elastohydrodynamic lubrication characteristics of hydraulic reciprocating seals have significant effects on sealing and tribology performances of hydraulic actuators, especially in high parameter hydraulic systems. Only elastic deformations of hydraulic reciprocating seals were discussed, and hydrodynamic effects were neglected in many studies. The physical process of the fluid-solid interaction effect did not be clearly presented in the existing fluid-solid interaction models for hydraulic reciprocating O-ring seals, and few of these models had been simultaneously validated through experiments. By exploring the physical process of the fluid-solid interaction effect of the hydraulic reciprocating O-ring seal, a numerical fluid-solid interaction model consisting of fluid lubrication, contact mechanics, asperity contact and elastic deformation analyses is constructed with an iterative procedure. With the SRV friction and wear tester, the experiments are performed to investigate the elastohydrodynamic lubrication characteristics of the O-ring seal. The regularity of the friction coefficient varying with the speed of reciprocating motion is obtained in the mixed lubrication condition. The experimental result is used to validate the fluid-solid interaction model. Based on the model, The elastohydrodynamic lubrication characteristics of the hydraulic reciprocating O-ring seal are presented respectively in the dry friction, mixed lubrication and full film lubrication conditions, including of the contact pressure, film thickness, friction coefficient, liquid film pressure and viscous shear stress in the sealing zone. The proposed numerical fluid-solid interaction model can be effectively used to analyze the operation characteristics of the hydraulic reciprocating O-ring seal, and can also be widely used to study other hydraulic reciprocating seals. 展开更多

In working state, the dynamic performance of dry gas seal, generated by the rotating end face with spiral grooves, is determined by the open force of gas film and leakage flow rate. Generally, the open force and the leakage flow rate can be obtained by finite element method, computational fluid dynamics method and experimental measurement method. However, it will take much time to carry out the above measurements and calculations. In this paper, the approximate model of parallel grooves based on the narrow groove theory is used to establish the dynamic equations of the gas film for the purpose of obtaining the dynamic parameters of gas film. The nonlinear differential equations of gas film model are solved by Runge-Kutta method and shooting method. The numerical values of the pressure profiles, leakage flux and opening force on the seal surface are integrated, and then compared to experimental data for the reliability of the numerical simulation. The results show that the numerical simulation curves are in good agreement with experimental values. Furthermore, the opening force and the leakage flux are proved to be strongly correlated with the operating parameters. Then, the function-coupling method is introduced to analyze the numerical results to obtain the correlation formulae of the opening force and leakage flux respectively with the operating parameters, i.e., the inlet pressure and the rotating speed. This study intends to provide an effective way to predict the aerodynamic performance for designing and optimizing the groove styles in dry gas seal rapidly and accurately. 展开更多

The underground water-sealed storage technique is critically important and generally accepted for the national energy strategy in China. Although several small underground water-sealed oil storage caverns have been built in China since the 1970s, there is still a lack of experience for large-volume underground storage in complicated geological conditions. The current design concept of water curtain system and the technical instruction for system operation have limitations in maintaining the stability of surrounding rock mass during the construction of the main storage caverns, as well as the long-term stability. Although several large-scale underground oil storage projects are under construction at present in China, the design concepts and construction methods, especially for the water curtain system, are mainly based on the ideal porosity medium flow theory and the experiences gained from the similar projects overseas. The storage projects currently constructed in China have the specific features such as huge scale, large depth, multiple-level arrangement, high seepage pressure, complicated geological conditions, and high in situ stresses, which are the challenging issues for the stability of the storage caverns. Based on years’ experiences obtained from the first large-scale (millions of cubic meters) underground water-sealed oil storage project in China, some design and operation problems related to water curtain system during project construction are discussed. The drawbacks and merits of the water curtain system are also presented. As an example, the conventional concept of “filling joints with water” is widely used in many cases, as a basic concept for the design of the water curtain system, but it is immature. In this paper, the advantages and disadvantages of the conventional concept are pointed out, with respect to the long-term stability as well as the safety of construction of storage caverns. Finally, new concepts and principles for design and construction of the underground water-sealed oil storage caverns are proposed. 展开更多

深厚富水软土地层深基坑水平封底与降水联合优化设计方法

为避免深厚富水软土地层基坑开挖降水量过大并减少降水对周围环境的影响,工程中常用基坑底部水平帷幕封底与坑内、坑外降水联合方式,但尚未形成有效的联合设计方法。为获得最优组合的水平止水帷幕厚度和降水高度的关系,首先结合水平封... 为避免深厚富水软土地层基坑开挖降水量过大并减少降水对周围环境的影响,工程中常用基坑底部水平帷幕封底与坑内、坑外降水联合方式,但尚未形成有效的联合设计方法。为获得最优组合的水平止水帷幕厚度和降水高度的关系,首先结合水平封底加固体渗透破坏和失稳破坏2种模式,考虑降水动态效应建立满足失稳破坏和渗透破坏的水平封底帷幕厚度与降水深度的关系式。基于饱和-非饱和土渗流与变形理论,建立基坑坑外降水引起基坑周边地表沉降计算方法。为实现工程量和造价最低目标,提出以基坑周边地表沉降和降水量不超规范限值、水平加固体不发生破坏为约束条件,以满足2种破坏模式下水平加固体厚度相差最小为目标函数进行降水与水平止水帷幕封底设计的联合优化方法。进一步引入迭代试算法并依托Matlab迭代求解算法获得了满足约束条件的降水深度与水平加固体厚度最优组合解。依托实际工程案例,采用Midas GTS有限元数值模拟验证了最优解理论的有效性和合理性。参数分析表明,不同降水高度与加固体厚度组合下,采用联合优化方法设计的加固体隔渗性能良好且经济性最佳,可为深厚富水深基坑开挖降水工程优化提供有益基础理论支持。 展开更多

为揭示密封材料三轴力学性能与破坏特征,利用PFC3D颗粒流数值模拟软件,结合“ball+cluster”的建模方式,建立软岩三维细观离散元模型,在不同围压条件下研究软岩的三轴压缩试验特性。结果表明:随着围压的增加,材料的抗压强度和延性逐渐提... 为揭示密封材料三轴力学性能与破坏特征,利用PFC3D颗粒流数值模拟软件,结合“ball+cluster”的建模方式,建立软岩三维细观离散元模型,在不同围压条件下研究软岩的三轴压缩试验特性。结果表明:随着围压的增加,材料的抗压强度和延性逐渐提高,模拟试验得出的峰值应力比室内试验得出的峰值应力略高3.66%;三轴压缩下围压与峰值应力、弹性模量呈二次函数关系,材料在高围压下表现出更强的抗压强度与延性;裂纹正向切片分析揭示,围压增高促使岩石破坏从简单拉伸模式演化为复杂的剪切主导型裂纹网络。该研究为密封材料在复杂应力条件下的破坏预测与设计优化提供了参考。 展开更多

针对维护过程中经常发现的起落架收放作动筒渗漏故障的问题,采用干涉调整技术建立飞机起落架收放作动筒密封结构的二维轴对称有限元分析模型。为解决橡胶网格畸变问题,提出一种网格映射技术,利用拉格朗日插值算法映射结点的应力应变场,... 针对维护过程中经常发现的起落架收放作动筒渗漏故障的问题,采用干涉调整技术建立飞机起落架收放作动筒密封结构的二维轴对称有限元分析模型。为解决橡胶网格畸变问题,提出一种网格映射技术,利用拉格朗日插值算法映射结点的应力应变场,并采用Abaqus二次开发平台基于该方法进行二次开发。从配合间隙和飞机起降时产生的瞬间高压两方面分析密封结构失效的原因,结果表明,瞬间高压导致橡胶圈的最大剪切应力超出了最大允许值,并出现橡胶圈咬伤失效。提出加装氟塑料圈的组合密封改进方案,模拟结果表明,改进后橡胶圈所受最大剪切应力小于最大允许剪切应力,显著降低了因剪切应力过大而咬伤橡胶圈的风险。试验结果证实了组合密封结构可显著提升的飞机起落架收放作动筒密封性能。 展开更多
