Fog computing has emerged as an important technology which can improve the performance of computation-intensive and latency-critical communication networks.Nevertheless,the fog computing Internet-of-Things(IoT)systems...Fog computing has emerged as an important technology which can improve the performance of computation-intensive and latency-critical communication networks.Nevertheless,the fog computing Internet-of-Things(IoT)systems are susceptible to malicious eavesdropping attacks during the information transmission,and this issue has not been adequately addressed.In this paper,we propose a physical-layer secure fog computing IoT system model,which is able to improve the physical layer security of fog computing IoT networks against the malicious eavesdropping of multiple eavesdroppers.The secrecy rate of the proposed model is analyzed,and the quantum galaxy–based search algorithm(QGSA)is proposed to solve the hybrid task scheduling and resource management problem of the network.The computational complexity and convergence of the proposed algorithm are analyzed.Simulation results validate the efficiency of the proposed model and reveal the influence of various environmental parameters on fog computing IoT networks.Moreover,the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed hybrid task scheduling and resource management scheme can effectively enhance secrecy performance across different communication scenarios.展开更多

In such more decentralized computing paradigms, the location and resource for code execution and data storage of end applications could also be optionally distributed among different places or machines. In this paper, we position that this situation requires a new transparent and usercentric approach to unify the resource management and code scheduling from the perspective of end users. We elaborate our vision and propose a software-defined code scheduling framework. The proposed framework allows the code execution or data storage of end applications to be adaptively done at appropriate machines under the help of a performance and capacity monitoring facility, intelligently improving application performance for end users. The best performance of a project can be achieved through the precise definition of construction product, rational work break structure, lean supply chain, decrease of resources waste, objective control and so forth. Referring to the characteristics of schedule planning of construction projects and lean construction philosophy, we proposed optimizing methodology of real-time and dynamic schedule of construction projects based on lean construction. The basis of the methodology is process reorganization and lean supply in construction enterprises. The traditional estimating method of the activity duration is fuzzy and random;however, a newly proposed lean forecasting method employs multi-components linear-regression, back-propagation artificial neural networks and learning curve. Taking account of the limited resources and the fixed duration of a project, the optimizing method of the real-time and dynamic schedule adopts the concept of resource driving. To optimize the schedule of a construction project timely and effectively, an intellectualized schedule management system was developed. It can work out the initial schedule, optimize the real-time and dynamic schedule, and display the schedule with the Gant Chart, the net-work graph and the space-time line chart. This article considers threats to a project slipping on budget,schedule and fit-for-purpose.Threat is used here as the collective for risks(quantifiable bad things that can happen)and uncertainties(poorly or not qu...This article considers threats to a project slipping on budget,schedule and fit-for-purpose.Threat is used here as the collective for risks(quantifiable bad things that can happen)and uncertainties(poorly or not quantifiable bad possible events).Based on experience with projects in developing countries this review considers that(a)project slippage is due to uncertainties rather than risks,(b)while eventuation of some bad things is beyond control,managed execution and oversight are stil the primary means to keeping within budget,on time and fit-for-purpose,(c)improving project delivery is less about bigger and more complex and more about coordinated focus,effectiveness and developing thought-out heuristics,and(d)projects take longer and cost more partly because threat identification is inaccurate,the scope of identified threats is too narrow,and the threat assessment product is not integrated into overall project decision-making and execution.Almost by definition,what is poorly known is likely to cause problems.Yet it is not just the unquantifiability and intangibility of uncertainties causing project slippage,but that they are insufficiently taken into account in project planning and execution that cause budget and time overruns.Improving project performance requires purpose-driven and managed deployment of scarce seasoned professionals.This can be aided with independent oversight by deeply experienced panelists who contribute technical insights and can potentially show that diligence is seen to be done.展开更多
