BACKGROUND Anxiety,depression,and other negative emotions are common among patients with chronic renal failure(CRF).Analyzing the factors related to negative emotions is necessary to provide targeted nursing care.AIM ...BACKGROUND Anxiety,depression,and other negative emotions are common among patients with chronic renal failure(CRF).Analyzing the factors related to negative emotions is necessary to provide targeted nursing care.AIM To explore the correlations among life satisfaction,pleasure levels,and negative emotions in patients with CRF.METHODS One hundred patients with CRF who received therapy at the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University between December 2022 and February 2025 were included.The Depression,Anxiety,and Stress Scale(DASS-21),Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS),and Temporal Experience of Pleasure Scale(TEPS)were used to evaluate negative emotions,life satisfaction,and pleasure level,respectively.Pearson’s correlation coefficient analyzed the correlation between life satisfaction,pleasure level,and negative emotions.Linear regression analysis identified the factors affecting negative emotions.RESULTS The average DASS-21 score among patients with CRF was 51.90±2.30,with subscale scores of 17.90±1.50 for depression,18.53±1.18 for anxiety,and 15.47±2.36 for stress,all significantly higher than the domestic norm(P<0.05).The average SWLS score was 22.17±4.90.Correlation analysis revealed a negative correlation between the SWLS and total DASS-21 scores(P<0.05),but not with the individual depression,anxiety,or stress dimensions.The average TEPS score was 67.80±8.34.TEPS scores were negatively correlated with the DASS-21 score and the stress dimension(P<0.05),but not with depression or anxiety.Linear regression analysis showed that TEPS scores significantly influenced DASS-21 scores(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Patients with CRF experience high levels of negative emotions,which are negatively correlated with life satisfaction and pleasure.Furthermore,pleasure level had an impact on negative emotions.展开更多
AIM:To investigate the association between functionaloutcomes and postoperative patient satisfaction 5y aftersmall incision lenticule extraction(SMILE)and femtosecondlaser-assisted in situ keratomileusis(FS-LASIK).MET...AIM:To investigate the association between functionaloutcomes and postoperative patient satisfaction 5y aftersmall incision lenticule extraction(SMILE)and femtosecondlaser-assisted in situ keratomileusis(FS-LASIK).METHODS:This is a cross-sectional study.Thepatients underwent basic ophthalmic examinations,axiallength measurement,wide-field fundus photography,andaccommodation function testing.Behavioral habits datawere collected using a self-administered questionnaire,andvisual symptoms were assessed with the Quality of Vision(QoV)questionnaire.Postoperative satisfaction was alsorecorded.RESULTS:Totally 410 subjects[820 eyes,160males(39.02%)and 250 females(60.98%)]who hadundergone SMILE or FS-LASIK 5y ago were enrolled.Themean(standard deviation,SD)age of all patients was29.83y(6.69).The mean(SD)preoperative manifest SEwas-5.80(2.04)diopters(D;range:-0.88 to-13.75).Patient satisfaction at 5y after undergoing SMILE or FSLASIKwas 91.70%.Patients were categorized into twogroups:dissatisfied group and satisfied group.Significantdifferences were observed between the two groups in termsof age(P=0.012),sex(P=0.021),preoperative degreeof myopia(P=0.049),postoperative visual symptoms(frequency,P=0.043;severity,P<0.001;bothersome,P=0.018),difficulty driving at night(P=0.001),andaccommodative amplitude(AMP,P=0.020).Multivariateanalysis confirmed that female sex(P=0.024),severityof visual symptoms(P=0.009),and difficulty driving atnight(P=0.006)were significantly associated with lowersatisfaction.The dissatisfied group showed higher rates ofstarbursts,double or multiple images,and high myopia,but lower age.The frequency,severity,and bothersome ofdistortion exhibited decreased with increasing age.CONCLUSION:Patient satisfaction 5y after SMILEand FS-LASIK is high and stable.Difficulty driving at night,sex,and severity of visual symptoms are important factorsinfluencing patient satisfaction.Special attention should bepaid to younger highly myopic female patients,particularlythose with starbursts and double or multiple images.It is crucial to monitor postoperative visual outcomesand provide patients with comprehensive preoperativecounseling to enhance long-term satisfaction.展开更多
This study examined the mediating role of job satisfaction in explaining the relationship between work-family conflict and life satisfaction among Turkish academicians.Employing a cross-sectional study design 645 acad...This study examined the mediating role of job satisfaction in explaining the relationship between work-family conflict and life satisfaction among Turkish academicians.Employing a cross-sectional study design 645 academicians aged between 24 and 65(male=45.1%,female=54.9%;professors=12.1%,associate professors=17.7%,assistant professors=28.2%,lecturers=17.8%,research assistants=24.2%;mean age and SD=39.72±8.94)completed the Job Satisfaction Scale,Life Satisfaction Scale,and the Work-Family Conflict Scale.They also self-reported their demographics.The findings from PROCESS MACRO analysis indicated work-family conflict to predict lower job satisfaction among academicians.Those with higher job satisfaction were also self-reported with higher life satisfaction.Lob satisfaction mediated the relationship between the academician’s work family conflict and life satisfaction for higher life satisfaction.The findings of this study indicate a need to implement work-family and life satisfaction measures to enhance job satisfaction among academics.展开更多
BACKGROUND There is a lack of clinical evidence on the efficacy and safety of transitioning from a thrice-daily pre-mixed insulin or basal-prandial regimen to insulin degludec/aspart(IDegAsp)therapy,with insufficient ...BACKGROUND There is a lack of clinical evidence on the efficacy and safety of transitioning from a thrice-daily pre-mixed insulin or basal-prandial regimen to insulin degludec/aspart(IDegAsp)therapy,with insufficient data from the Chinese population.AIM To demonstrate the efficacy,safety,and treatment satisfaction associated with the transition to IDegAsp in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).METHODS In this 12-week open-label,non-randomized,single-center,pilot study,patients with T2DM receiving thrice-daily insulin or intensive insulin treatment were transitioned to twice-daily injections of insulin IDegAsp.Insulin doses,hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)levels,fasting blood glucose(FBG),hypoglycemic events,a Diabetes Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire,and other parameters were assessed at baseline and 12-weeks.RESULTS This study included 21 participants.A marked enhancement was observed in the FBG level(P=0.02),daily total insulin dose(P=0.03),and overall diabetes treatment satisfaction(P<0.01)in the participants who switched to IDegAsp.There was a decrease in HbA1c levels(7.6±1.1 vs 7.4±0.9,P=0.31)and the frequency of hypoglycemic events of those who switched to IDegAsp decreased,however,there was no statistically significant difference.CONCLUSION The present findings suggest that treatment with IDegAsp enhances clinical outcomes,particularly FBG levels,daily cumulative insulin dose,and overall satisfaction with diabetes treatment.展开更多
This study examines the effects of e-banking service quality on customer satisfaction in the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia(CBE)branches in Wolaita Sodo town.Using a causal research design,the study explored the cause-an...This study examines the effects of e-banking service quality on customer satisfaction in the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia(CBE)branches in Wolaita Sodo town.Using a causal research design,the study explored the cause-and-effect relationship between service quality dimensions and customer satisfaction.A sample of 385 customers was selected using convenience sampling,with 365 questionnaires returned.Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS V.21.The Cronbach’s alpha value of 0.72 from a pilot study confirmed reliability.Descriptive and inferential statistics,including multiple linear regression and one-way ANOVA,were employed.Results revealed that three service quality dimensions-responsiveness,reliability,and assurance-were statistically significant and positively influenced customer satisfaction,while two dimensions showed negative associations.The regression model’s coefficient of determination(R²)was 0.621,indicating a moderate explanatory power.Findings suggest that CBE managers and stakeholders should prioritize improving responsiveness,reliability,and assurance by providing prompt,dependable,and trustworthy services.Due to limitations in time and resources,this study was confined to CBE branches in Wolaita Sodo town;future research could expand to a national level or other service sectors.展开更多
With the rise and development of major types of platforms,the competition for resources has become extremely fierce,and the market share of C2C platforms has been seriously threatened by the loss of resources.Therefor...With the rise and development of major types of platforms,the competition for resources has become extremely fierce,and the market share of C2C platforms has been seriously threatened by the loss of resources.Therefore,building and maintaining buyers’satisfaction and loyalty to C2C platforms is critical to the survival and sustainability of C2C platforms in China.However,the current knowledge on how platform satisfaction and loyalty are constructed in the C2C e-commerce environment is incomplete.In this study,seller-based satisfaction and platform-based satisfaction are constructed separately.We further distinguish seller-based transaction satisfaction into economic and social satisfaction and explore their antecedents and consequences.To test our research hypotheses,we conduct a survey and collect data from a real online market(Taobao website).The results show that seller-based transaction satisfaction positively affects platform-based overall satisfaction and loyalty,and that perceived product quality,perceived assurance,and perceived price fairness all have a significant effect on economic satisfaction,whereas perceived relationship quality and perceived empathy significantly influence social satisfaction.These findings help us understand the literature related to customer satisfaction in the context of C2C in China and provide inspiration for online sellers and platforms.展开更多
The current research aims to find out whether the model of the retailer's relational satisfaction, developed in a western setting is relevant in a different economic and cultural field of investigation: the Tunisian...The current research aims to find out whether the model of the retailer's relational satisfaction, developed in a western setting is relevant in a different economic and cultural field of investigation: the Tunisian post 2011 revolution's emerging context, and in a different industry: the retail industry. It explores the distinctive economic and cultural features that affect the retailer's relational satisfaction with its consumer goods manufacturers. The study employs a survey based on a face-to-face administered questionnaire. Two hundred and thirty four responses from a survey with Tunisian retailers as well as international retailers operating in Tunisia were obtained. All constructs are measured using five-point Likert type scales (1 = strongly disagree, 5 = strongly agree). Analyses are conducted using exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis. The results support the original model with however some differences derived from the Tunisian economic setting as a whole, the characteristics of the Tunisian consumer goods industry as well as the clan characteristic feature of the Tunisian collectivistic culture. Thus, the amount of discounts obtained, does no longer contribute to the retailer's economic satisfaction. Moreover, when it comes to social satisfaction, the respondents get uncomfortable, even to deal with a potential negative interaction with their suppliers. For retail companies involved in internationalization in the Maghreb Region, and especially in Tunisia, it seems that other competitive advantages than prices are to be developed, such as the development of private label or other services that create positive perceived value for the Tunisian customer. From a cultural standpoint, western managers have rather to go away from a formalized channel relationship management, while taking into account the importance of interpersonal influence. The study sheds light on the heterogeneity of the so-called Arab-Muslim world. This is highlighted in the management of channel relationship in Tunisia, that is influenced by: (1) The government's price regulation and control, especially in many food products; (2) The relative weak importance of discounts in gaining retailer's economic satisfaction; (3) The reshaping of the local retailing sector due to the arrival of international retail companies; (4) The clan feature of the Tunisian collectivistic culture that advocates putting priority on interpersonal influence in channel relationship's management.展开更多
With Beijing Huilongguan Sports and Cultural Park as the research object,this study was conducted to investigate public service satisfaction in the park by the Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA)method.A questionnair...With Beijing Huilongguan Sports and Cultural Park as the research object,this study was conducted to investigate public service satisfaction in the park by the Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA)method.A questionnaire covering six dimensions,including public transportation,sanitation and environment,and supporting facility construction,was designed.A total of 208 valid samples were collected,and SPSS was employed for reliability and validity tests as well as IPA analysis.The findings were as follows:①Visitors were generally quite satisfied with the overall public services in Huilongguan Sports and Cultural Park.②The highest satisfaction levels were observed in sanitation and environment services and the sports and cultural atmosphere,while lower satisfaction was noted for supporting facility construction and public information services.③The advantage enhancement zone includes sanitation and environment services and sports and cultural atmosphere;and the continuous maintenance zone includes public transportation services and security management amd maintenance;the subsequent opportunity zone includes supporting facility construction and public information services;and there are no dimensions in the urgent improvement zone.The study recommends strengthening the service connotations from three aspects:enhancing facilities with sports as the core,optimizing services with a people-centered approach,and upgrading the information platform through technological efficiency.Additionally,a multi-stakeholder collaborative mechanism involving the government in coordinating policy resources,the operator in improving implementation efficiency,and the public participating in supervision and evaluation is proposed to drive the enhancement of public service quality at Huilongguan Sports and Cultural Park.展开更多
Despite the increasing enrolment in higher education in sub-Saharan Africa,the systematic understanding of students’academic major satisfaction in these contexts has not received significant research interest.We exam...Despite the increasing enrolment in higher education in sub-Saharan Africa,the systematic understanding of students’academic major satisfaction in these contexts has not received significant research interest.We examined the academic major satisfaction of students in the Nigerian context by the sense of autonomy,competence,and relatedness.Participants were 452 students from Fine and Applied Arts(FAA,n=207,32.9%female,mean age=20.86,SD=3.40)and philosophy(n=245,42.9%female,mean age=21.43,SD=3.38 years)at a large Nigerian public university.They completed the Basic Needs Satisfaction Scale and the Academic Major Satisfaction Scale,as well as a socio-demographic questionnaire.Results following regression analysis and post-hoc t-tests indicated that while FAA students were more satisfied with their major than those in philosophy overall.Philosophy students reported significantly higher relatedness than the FAA students.FAA students did not rate autonomy and competence higher than Philosophy students.Within academic majors,high autonomy was associated with greater academic major satisfaction for only FAA students,whereas FAA and Philosophy students with high competence and relatedness reported increased academic major satisfaction.Findings suggest students self-determine their academic major satisfaction in the Nigerian educational setting by primarily autonomy and competence considerations.展开更多

Objectives:To assess job satisfaction among anesthesia graduates working in various medical institutions across China.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted,collecting demographic information,Minnesota Satisfa...Objectives:To assess job satisfaction among anesthesia graduates working in various medical institutions across China.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted,collecting demographic information,Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire scores,work pressure,and turnover intentions.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine factors influencing job satisfaction.The electronic survey was distributed to Chinese anesthesia graduates from December 2021 to January 2022.Results:A total of 595 questionnaires were distributed,with 318 valid responses,resulting in a response rate of 53.4%.The participants’overall job satisfaction score on the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire was 75.85±12.57.Multiple linear regression analysis identified the following variables as significantly associated with job satisfaction:age,daily working hours,income,current position,and work pressure.Conclusions:Anesthesia graduates in China reported slightly higher-than-average overall job satisfaction.However,several issues remain.Attention should be given to the impact of factors such as youth,long working hours,low income,current position,and high work pressure on job satisfaction.The government should support anesthesiologists with improved training,job security,and benefits to enhance job satisfaction.展开更多

Objective:The objective of this study is to determine the effect of nurse-led instructional video(NLIV)on anxiety,satisfaction,and recovery among mothers admitted for cesarean section(CS).Materials and Methods:A quasi...Objective:The objective of this study is to determine the effect of nurse-led instructional video(NLIV)on anxiety,satisfaction,and recovery among mothers admitted for cesarean section(CS).Materials and Methods:A quasi-experimental design was carried out on the mothers scheduled for CS.Eighty participants were selected by a purposive sampling technique,which were divided(40 participants in each group)into an experimental group and a control group.Nurse-led informational video(NLIV)was shown to the experimental group,and routine care was provided for the control group.Modified hospital anxiety scale(HADS),scale for measuring maternal satisfaction in cesarean birth,and obstetric quality of recovery following cesarean delivery were used to assess anxiety,satisfaction,and recovery.Results:Both the experimental and control groups showed significant reductions in anxiety by the first postintervention day(P<0.001),with the experimental group experiencing a greater mean reduction(mean difference[MD]=4.37)than the control group(MD=3.35)but the intergroup difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The experimental group reported significantly higher satisfaction scores(175.55±9.42)on the 3rd postoperative day compared to the control group(151.93±14.89;P<0.001).Similarly,the experimental group’s recovery scores(79.90±6.24)were considerably higher than those of the control group(62.45±15.18;P<0.001).On the 3rd postintervention day,satisfaction was significantly associated with age(P<0.001),and recovery with gravidity(P<0.05).Conclusions:NLIV can be used in the preoperative period to reduce anxiety related to CS and to improve satisfaction and recovery after the CS.展开更多
Objective:To evaluate the effects of the ShotBlocker and vibration device on pain intensity and patient satisfaction during subcutaneous(SC)insulin injections in hospitalized adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Mater...Objective:To evaluate the effects of the ShotBlocker and vibration device on pain intensity and patient satisfaction during subcutaneous(SC)insulin injections in hospitalized adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Materials and Methods:In this randomized controlled trial,102 patients with type II diabetes mellitus were randomly assigned into 3 groups:35 patients in the ShotBlocker group,36 patients in the vibration group,and 31 patients in the control group.ShotBlocker was applied immediately before and during the injection,while the vibration was applied for 2-3 s before and during injection.The visual analog scale(VAS)was used for measuring pain and satisfaction of the patients,respectively.Results:There were statistically significant differences in pain scores among the study groups(P=0.000).The vibration group had significantly lower pain scores(P=0.000).Similarly,the ShotBlocker group demonstrated significantly lower pain scores(P=0.000)compared to the control group.Regarding satisfaction scores,there were statistically significant differences among the groups(P=0.000).The vibration group had significantly higher satisfaction scores(P=0.000).Similarly,the ShotBlocker group showed significantly higher satisfaction scores(P=0.000)compared to the control group.Conclusions:The ShotBlocker and vibration device are effective,noninvasive methods for reducing pain and enhancing patient satisfaction during SC insulin injections in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.展开更多
Background:Employment can support the recovery of individuals with Severe Mental Disorders by promoting autonomy,reducing hospital admissions and associated costs,fostering social connections,and providing structure t...Background:Employment can support the recovery of individuals with Severe Mental Disorders by promoting autonomy,reducing hospital admissions and associated costs,fostering social connections,and providing structure to their daily lives.The objective of this pilot study was to analyse job satisfaction and perceived social support in people with severe mental disorders who are users of an Employment Guidance and Support Service in southern Spain.Methods:A descriptive cross-sectional pilot study was carried out with a sample of 39 workers with mental disorders from the province of Huelva(southern Spain)who were users of the Employment Guidance and Support Service of the Regional Government of Andalusia(Spain).Perceived Organisational Support was assessed with the Spanish short version of the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support and the S10/12 Job Satisfaction Questionnaire.Results:As findings,87.2%of the sample reported high levels of job satisfaction,and 61.5%of the subjects surveyed perceived high levels of support.Regarding the variable Perceived Support,84%of workers from ordinary companies and 50%of those from Special Employment Centres(SECs)considered that they had sufficient support.There was a positive correlation between support and satisfaction(Spearman’s Rho=0.423).Conclusion:The results suggest a positive relationship between support and satisfaction,warranting further longitudinal research with larger samples.This pilot study provides preliminary insights into the relationship between perceived organizational support and job satisfaction among workers with severe mental disorders.展开更多

Objective:Healthcare service satisfaction focuses not only on the patients but also on the overall quality and effectiveness of the care provided.This study aimed to explore the correlation between patients’perceptio...Objective:Healthcare service satisfaction focuses not only on the patients but also on the overall quality and effectiveness of the care provided.This study aimed to explore the correlation between patients’perceptions of empathy,patient satisfaction,and the quality of recovery in elderly patients undergoing postoperative care for lower extremity fractures under spinal anesthesia.Methods:In the present cross-sectional study,138 elderly patients who underwent surgery for lower extremity fracture and spinal anesthesia were selected for inclusion in the study.The questionnaire included demographic characteristics,the Jefferson Scale of Patient Perception of Physician Empathy,the Patient Satisfaction Scale,and the Postoperative Quality of Recovery Score.Multivariate regression was performed to evaluate the associations between patient-reported factors and satisfaction.Results:The overall average scores for patient perception of empathy,quality of recovery,and patient satisfaction were 20.30(1.18),110.11(8.26),and 156.86(5.44),respectively.There was a statistically significant positive correlation between patient quality of recovery and patient perception of empathy and patient satisfaction(p<0.01).Conclusions:This finding could also inform policymaking and the development of guidelines aimed at improving the quality of healthcare delivery.This study encouraged healthcare organizations and institutions to foster empathy in healthcare interactions,which may positively impact patient satisfaction and subsequent recovery outcomes,and patient-centered care.展开更多

BACKGROUND Diabetic foot ulcers(DFUs)present a significant healthcare challenge attributable to their high rates of disability and the limitations of applied traditional nursing approaches.Effective management is crit...BACKGROUND Diabetic foot ulcers(DFUs)present a significant healthcare challenge attributable to their high rates of disability and the limitations of applied traditional nursing approaches.Effective management is critical for uneventful health outcomes.AIM To investigate the effects of multidisciplinary team(MDT)nursing interventions and blood glucose control on the negative emotions and satisfaction of DFUhealing patients.METHODS This retrospective cohort study included 115 patients with DFUs,divided into MDT and blood glucose control intervention group(n=60)and standard care control group(n=55).The comparison factors were wound area,new granulation tissue coverage area,wound healing rate,2-hour postprandial blood glucose level,fasting plasma glucose level,Hamilton Anxiety Scale score,Hamilton Depression Scale score,and nursing satisfaction.RESULTS After 4 weeks,the average wound area reduced from 22.04±6.48 cm^(2)to 11.96±3.63 cm^(2)(P<0.05).New granulation tissue coverage area reached 52.85±18.39 cm^(2) for the intervention group and 28.39±9.94 cm^(2)(P<0.05)in the control group,respectively.The healing rate was significantly higher in the intervention group than in the control group(91.7%vs 76.4%,P<0.05).Fasting plasma glucose decreased more sharply in the intervention group(from 8.36±0.98 mmol/L to 6.91±1.23 mmol/L)than in the control group(8.41±1.05 mmol/L to 7.81±1.27 mmol/L),with the intervention group maintaining significantly lower levels(P<0.05).The intervention group demonstrated a significantly greater reduction in 2-hour postprandial blood glucose levels(11.35±2.67 mmol/L to 7.52±1.38 mmol/L)compared to the control group(11.61±3.01 mmol/L to 8.72±1.63 mmol/L;P<0.05).Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale scores were significantly lower in the intervention group(P<0.05).Patient satisfaction with nursing was 93.33%and 74.55%in the intervention and control groups,respectively(P<0.05).CONCLUSION MDT combined with blood glucose control enhanced healing rates and positively influenced emotional well-being and satisfaction among patients.This strategy holds potential for application in clinical practice.展开更多
Objective This study examines the sequential mediating roles of body pain and self-reported health in the association between sleep duration and self-reported life satisfaction among elderly Chinese adults.Methods Dat...Objective This study examines the sequential mediating roles of body pain and self-reported health in the association between sleep duration and self-reported life satisfaction among elderly Chinese adults.Methods Data from the fifth wave of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Survey(CHARLS)were used to analyse the relationships between sleep duration and body pain,self-reported health,and life satisfaction through logistic regression and Restricted Cubic Spline(RCS)analyses.The sequential mediation effects of body pain and self-reported health status were examined via chain mediation analysis.Results Logistic regression analysis showed that sleeping fewer than 6 hours or 6-7 hours was linked to higher risks of body pain,poor health,and dissatisfaction with life compared to sleeping 7-8 hours(all P<0.05).Additionally,those sleeping more than 9 hours also had increased risks of poor health and dissatisfaction with life compared to those sleeping 7-8 hours(all P<0.05).Chain mediation analysis showed that body pain and self-reported health status sequentially mediated 46.15%of the association between sleep duration and life satisfaction.Conclusion Body pain and self-reported health may shape the relationship between sleep duration and life satisfaction in elderly Chinese adults.展开更多
文摘BACKGROUND Anxiety,depression,and other negative emotions are common among patients with chronic renal failure(CRF).Analyzing the factors related to negative emotions is necessary to provide targeted nursing care.AIM To explore the correlations among life satisfaction,pleasure levels,and negative emotions in patients with CRF.METHODS One hundred patients with CRF who received therapy at the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University between December 2022 and February 2025 were included.The Depression,Anxiety,and Stress Scale(DASS-21),Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS),and Temporal Experience of Pleasure Scale(TEPS)were used to evaluate negative emotions,life satisfaction,and pleasure level,respectively.Pearson’s correlation coefficient analyzed the correlation between life satisfaction,pleasure level,and negative emotions.Linear regression analysis identified the factors affecting negative emotions.RESULTS The average DASS-21 score among patients with CRF was 51.90±2.30,with subscale scores of 17.90±1.50 for depression,18.53±1.18 for anxiety,and 15.47±2.36 for stress,all significantly higher than the domestic norm(P<0.05).The average SWLS score was 22.17±4.90.Correlation analysis revealed a negative correlation between the SWLS and total DASS-21 scores(P<0.05),but not with the individual depression,anxiety,or stress dimensions.The average TEPS score was 67.80±8.34.TEPS scores were negatively correlated with the DASS-21 score and the stress dimension(P<0.05),but not with depression or anxiety.Linear regression analysis showed that TEPS scores significantly influenced DASS-21 scores(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Patients with CRF experience high levels of negative emotions,which are negatively correlated with life satisfaction and pleasure.Furthermore,pleasure level had an impact on negative emotions.

文摘AIM:To investigate the association between functionaloutcomes and postoperative patient satisfaction 5y aftersmall incision lenticule extraction(SMILE)and femtosecondlaser-assisted in situ keratomileusis(FS-LASIK).METHODS:This is a cross-sectional study.Thepatients underwent basic ophthalmic examinations,axiallength measurement,wide-field fundus photography,andaccommodation function testing.Behavioral habits datawere collected using a self-administered questionnaire,andvisual symptoms were assessed with the Quality of Vision(QoV)questionnaire.Postoperative satisfaction was alsorecorded.RESULTS:Totally 410 subjects[820 eyes,160males(39.02%)and 250 females(60.98%)]who hadundergone SMILE or FS-LASIK 5y ago were enrolled.Themean(standard deviation,SD)age of all patients was29.83y(6.69).The mean(SD)preoperative manifest SEwas-5.80(2.04)diopters(D;range:-0.88 to-13.75).Patient satisfaction at 5y after undergoing SMILE or FSLASIKwas 91.70%.Patients were categorized into twogroups:dissatisfied group and satisfied group.Significantdifferences were observed between the two groups in termsof age(P=0.012),sex(P=0.021),preoperative degreeof myopia(P=0.049),postoperative visual symptoms(frequency,P=0.043;severity,P<0.001;bothersome,P=0.018),difficulty driving at night(P=0.001),andaccommodative amplitude(AMP,P=0.020).Multivariateanalysis confirmed that female sex(P=0.024),severityof visual symptoms(P=0.009),and difficulty driving atnight(P=0.006)were significantly associated with lowersatisfaction.The dissatisfied group showed higher rates ofstarbursts,double or multiple images,and high myopia,but lower age.The frequency,severity,and bothersome ofdistortion exhibited decreased with increasing age.CONCLUSION:Patient satisfaction 5y after SMILEand FS-LASIK is high and stable.Difficulty driving at night,sex,and severity of visual symptoms are important factorsinfluencing patient satisfaction.Special attention should bepaid to younger highly myopic female patients,particularlythose with starbursts and double or multiple images.It is crucial to monitor postoperative visual outcomesand provide patients with comprehensive preoperativecounseling to enhance long-term satisfaction.
文摘This study examined the mediating role of job satisfaction in explaining the relationship between work-family conflict and life satisfaction among Turkish academicians.Employing a cross-sectional study design 645 academicians aged between 24 and 65(male=45.1%,female=54.9%;professors=12.1%,associate professors=17.7%,assistant professors=28.2%,lecturers=17.8%,research assistants=24.2%;mean age and SD=39.72±8.94)completed the Job Satisfaction Scale,Life Satisfaction Scale,and the Work-Family Conflict Scale.They also self-reported their demographics.The findings from PROCESS MACRO analysis indicated work-family conflict to predict lower job satisfaction among academicians.Those with higher job satisfaction were also self-reported with higher life satisfaction.Lob satisfaction mediated the relationship between the academician’s work family conflict and life satisfaction for higher life satisfaction.The findings of this study indicate a need to implement work-family and life satisfaction measures to enhance job satisfaction among academics.

文摘BACKGROUND There is a lack of clinical evidence on the efficacy and safety of transitioning from a thrice-daily pre-mixed insulin or basal-prandial regimen to insulin degludec/aspart(IDegAsp)therapy,with insufficient data from the Chinese population.AIM To demonstrate the efficacy,safety,and treatment satisfaction associated with the transition to IDegAsp in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).METHODS In this 12-week open-label,non-randomized,single-center,pilot study,patients with T2DM receiving thrice-daily insulin or intensive insulin treatment were transitioned to twice-daily injections of insulin IDegAsp.Insulin doses,hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)levels,fasting blood glucose(FBG),hypoglycemic events,a Diabetes Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire,and other parameters were assessed at baseline and 12-weeks.RESULTS This study included 21 participants.A marked enhancement was observed in the FBG level(P=0.02),daily total insulin dose(P=0.03),and overall diabetes treatment satisfaction(P<0.01)in the participants who switched to IDegAsp.There was a decrease in HbA1c levels(7.6±1.1 vs 7.4±0.9,P=0.31)and the frequency of hypoglycemic events of those who switched to IDegAsp decreased,however,there was no statistically significant difference.CONCLUSION The present findings suggest that treatment with IDegAsp enhances clinical outcomes,particularly FBG levels,daily cumulative insulin dose,and overall satisfaction with diabetes treatment.
文摘This study examines the effects of e-banking service quality on customer satisfaction in the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia(CBE)branches in Wolaita Sodo town.Using a causal research design,the study explored the cause-and-effect relationship between service quality dimensions and customer satisfaction.A sample of 385 customers was selected using convenience sampling,with 365 questionnaires returned.Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS V.21.The Cronbach’s alpha value of 0.72 from a pilot study confirmed reliability.Descriptive and inferential statistics,including multiple linear regression and one-way ANOVA,were employed.Results revealed that three service quality dimensions-responsiveness,reliability,and assurance-were statistically significant and positively influenced customer satisfaction,while two dimensions showed negative associations.The regression model’s coefficient of determination(R²)was 0.621,indicating a moderate explanatory power.Findings suggest that CBE managers and stakeholders should prioritize improving responsiveness,reliability,and assurance by providing prompt,dependable,and trustworthy services.Due to limitations in time and resources,this study was confined to CBE branches in Wolaita Sodo town;future research could expand to a national level or other service sectors.

文摘With the rise and development of major types of platforms,the competition for resources has become extremely fierce,and the market share of C2C platforms has been seriously threatened by the loss of resources.Therefore,building and maintaining buyers’satisfaction and loyalty to C2C platforms is critical to the survival and sustainability of C2C platforms in China.However,the current knowledge on how platform satisfaction and loyalty are constructed in the C2C e-commerce environment is incomplete.In this study,seller-based satisfaction and platform-based satisfaction are constructed separately.We further distinguish seller-based transaction satisfaction into economic and social satisfaction and explore their antecedents and consequences.To test our research hypotheses,we conduct a survey and collect data from a real online market(Taobao website).The results show that seller-based transaction satisfaction positively affects platform-based overall satisfaction and loyalty,and that perceived product quality,perceived assurance,and perceived price fairness all have a significant effect on economic satisfaction,whereas perceived relationship quality and perceived empathy significantly influence social satisfaction.These findings help us understand the literature related to customer satisfaction in the context of C2C in China and provide inspiration for online sellers and platforms.
文摘The current research aims to find out whether the model of the retailer's relational satisfaction, developed in a western setting is relevant in a different economic and cultural field of investigation: the Tunisian post 2011 revolution's emerging context, and in a different industry: the retail industry. It explores the distinctive economic and cultural features that affect the retailer's relational satisfaction with its consumer goods manufacturers. The study employs a survey based on a face-to-face administered questionnaire. Two hundred and thirty four responses from a survey with Tunisian retailers as well as international retailers operating in Tunisia were obtained. All constructs are measured using five-point Likert type scales (1 = strongly disagree, 5 = strongly agree). Analyses are conducted using exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis. The results support the original model with however some differences derived from the Tunisian economic setting as a whole, the characteristics of the Tunisian consumer goods industry as well as the clan characteristic feature of the Tunisian collectivistic culture. Thus, the amount of discounts obtained, does no longer contribute to the retailer's economic satisfaction. Moreover, when it comes to social satisfaction, the respondents get uncomfortable, even to deal with a potential negative interaction with their suppliers. For retail companies involved in internationalization in the Maghreb Region, and especially in Tunisia, it seems that other competitive advantages than prices are to be developed, such as the development of private label or other services that create positive perceived value for the Tunisian customer. From a cultural standpoint, western managers have rather to go away from a formalized channel relationship management, while taking into account the importance of interpersonal influence. The study sheds light on the heterogeneity of the so-called Arab-Muslim world. This is highlighted in the management of channel relationship in Tunisia, that is influenced by: (1) The government's price regulation and control, especially in many food products; (2) The relative weak importance of discounts in gaining retailer's economic satisfaction; (3) The reshaping of the local retailing sector due to the arrival of international retail companies; (4) The clan feature of the Tunisian collectivistic culture that advocates putting priority on interpersonal influence in channel relationship's management.

文摘With Beijing Huilongguan Sports and Cultural Park as the research object,this study was conducted to investigate public service satisfaction in the park by the Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA)method.A questionnaire covering six dimensions,including public transportation,sanitation and environment,and supporting facility construction,was designed.A total of 208 valid samples were collected,and SPSS was employed for reliability and validity tests as well as IPA analysis.The findings were as follows:①Visitors were generally quite satisfied with the overall public services in Huilongguan Sports and Cultural Park.②The highest satisfaction levels were observed in sanitation and environment services and the sports and cultural atmosphere,while lower satisfaction was noted for supporting facility construction and public information services.③The advantage enhancement zone includes sanitation and environment services and sports and cultural atmosphere;and the continuous maintenance zone includes public transportation services and security management amd maintenance;the subsequent opportunity zone includes supporting facility construction and public information services;and there are no dimensions in the urgent improvement zone.The study recommends strengthening the service connotations from three aspects:enhancing facilities with sports as the core,optimizing services with a people-centered approach,and upgrading the information platform through technological efficiency.Additionally,a multi-stakeholder collaborative mechanism involving the government in coordinating policy resources,the operator in improving implementation efficiency,and the public participating in supervision and evaluation is proposed to drive the enhancement of public service quality at Huilongguan Sports and Cultural Park.
文摘Despite the increasing enrolment in higher education in sub-Saharan Africa,the systematic understanding of students’academic major satisfaction in these contexts has not received significant research interest.We examined the academic major satisfaction of students in the Nigerian context by the sense of autonomy,competence,and relatedness.Participants were 452 students from Fine and Applied Arts(FAA,n=207,32.9%female,mean age=20.86,SD=3.40)and philosophy(n=245,42.9%female,mean age=21.43,SD=3.38 years)at a large Nigerian public university.They completed the Basic Needs Satisfaction Scale and the Academic Major Satisfaction Scale,as well as a socio-demographic questionnaire.Results following regression analysis and post-hoc t-tests indicated that while FAA students were more satisfied with their major than those in philosophy overall.Philosophy students reported significantly higher relatedness than the FAA students.FAA students did not rate autonomy and competence higher than Philosophy students.Within academic majors,high autonomy was associated with greater academic major satisfaction for only FAA students,whereas FAA and Philosophy students with high competence and relatedness reported increased academic major satisfaction.Findings suggest students self-determine their academic major satisfaction in the Nigerian educational setting by primarily autonomy and competence considerations.

文摘Objectives:To assess job satisfaction among anesthesia graduates working in various medical institutions across China.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted,collecting demographic information,Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire scores,work pressure,and turnover intentions.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine factors influencing job satisfaction.The electronic survey was distributed to Chinese anesthesia graduates from December 2021 to January 2022.Results:A total of 595 questionnaires were distributed,with 318 valid responses,resulting in a response rate of 53.4%.The participants’overall job satisfaction score on the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire was 75.85±12.57.Multiple linear regression analysis identified the following variables as significantly associated with job satisfaction:age,daily working hours,income,current position,and work pressure.Conclusions:Anesthesia graduates in China reported slightly higher-than-average overall job satisfaction.However,several issues remain.Attention should be given to the impact of factors such as youth,long working hours,low income,current position,and high work pressure on job satisfaction.The government should support anesthesiologists with improved training,job security,and benefits to enhance job satisfaction.
文摘This study examines how training opportunities influence teachers’job satisfaction,emphasizing the mediating effect of AI self-efficacy among primary and secondary school teachers in Wuhan,China.Current research employed a quantitative,cross-sectional design.Data were collected using an online questionnaire from 655 primary and secondary school teachers in Wuhan.Structural equation modelling(PLS-SEM)was utilized for data analysis.Results confirmed significant positive relationships between training opportunities and both AI self-efficacy and job satisfaction.Besides,AI self-efficacy was found to significantly mediate the relationship between training opportunities and job satisfaction.This study contributes to the body of knowledge by empirically showed the relatively unexplored psychological pathway(AI self-efficacy)linking training opportunities to job satisfaction within AI-intensive educational contexts.The findings enhance understanding of how structured training in AI can positively influence teachers’attitudes and job-related outcomes.Educational policymakers and administrators can utilise these findings to develop specialised training programs,thereby improving teacher self-efficacy,job satisfaction and overall effectiveness in responding to technology changes.
文摘Objective:The objective of this study is to determine the effect of nurse-led instructional video(NLIV)on anxiety,satisfaction,and recovery among mothers admitted for cesarean section(CS).Materials and Methods:A quasi-experimental design was carried out on the mothers scheduled for CS.Eighty participants were selected by a purposive sampling technique,which were divided(40 participants in each group)into an experimental group and a control group.Nurse-led informational video(NLIV)was shown to the experimental group,and routine care was provided for the control group.Modified hospital anxiety scale(HADS),scale for measuring maternal satisfaction in cesarean birth,and obstetric quality of recovery following cesarean delivery were used to assess anxiety,satisfaction,and recovery.Results:Both the experimental and control groups showed significant reductions in anxiety by the first postintervention day(P<0.001),with the experimental group experiencing a greater mean reduction(mean difference[MD]=4.37)than the control group(MD=3.35)but the intergroup difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The experimental group reported significantly higher satisfaction scores(175.55±9.42)on the 3rd postoperative day compared to the control group(151.93±14.89;P<0.001).Similarly,the experimental group’s recovery scores(79.90±6.24)were considerably higher than those of the control group(62.45±15.18;P<0.001).On the 3rd postintervention day,satisfaction was significantly associated with age(P<0.001),and recovery with gravidity(P<0.05).Conclusions:NLIV can be used in the preoperative period to reduce anxiety related to CS and to improve satisfaction and recovery after the CS.
文摘Objective:To evaluate the effects of the ShotBlocker and vibration device on pain intensity and patient satisfaction during subcutaneous(SC)insulin injections in hospitalized adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Materials and Methods:In this randomized controlled trial,102 patients with type II diabetes mellitus were randomly assigned into 3 groups:35 patients in the ShotBlocker group,36 patients in the vibration group,and 31 patients in the control group.ShotBlocker was applied immediately before and during the injection,while the vibration was applied for 2-3 s before and during injection.The visual analog scale(VAS)was used for measuring pain and satisfaction of the patients,respectively.Results:There were statistically significant differences in pain scores among the study groups(P=0.000).The vibration group had significantly lower pain scores(P=0.000).Similarly,the ShotBlocker group demonstrated significantly lower pain scores(P=0.000)compared to the control group.Regarding satisfaction scores,there were statistically significant differences among the groups(P=0.000).The vibration group had significantly higher satisfaction scores(P=0.000).Similarly,the ShotBlocker group showed significantly higher satisfaction scores(P=0.000)compared to the control group.Conclusions:The ShotBlocker and vibration device are effective,noninvasive methods for reducing pain and enhancing patient satisfaction during SC insulin injections in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
文摘Background:Employment can support the recovery of individuals with Severe Mental Disorders by promoting autonomy,reducing hospital admissions and associated costs,fostering social connections,and providing structure to their daily lives.The objective of this pilot study was to analyse job satisfaction and perceived social support in people with severe mental disorders who are users of an Employment Guidance and Support Service in southern Spain.Methods:A descriptive cross-sectional pilot study was carried out with a sample of 39 workers with mental disorders from the province of Huelva(southern Spain)who were users of the Employment Guidance and Support Service of the Regional Government of Andalusia(Spain).Perceived Organisational Support was assessed with the Spanish short version of the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support and the S10/12 Job Satisfaction Questionnaire.Results:As findings,87.2%of the sample reported high levels of job satisfaction,and 61.5%of the subjects surveyed perceived high levels of support.Regarding the variable Perceived Support,84%of workers from ordinary companies and 50%of those from Special Employment Centres(SECs)considered that they had sufficient support.There was a positive correlation between support and satisfaction(Spearman’s Rho=0.423).Conclusion:The results suggest a positive relationship between support and satisfaction,warranting further longitudinal research with larger samples.This pilot study provides preliminary insights into the relationship between perceived organizational support and job satisfaction among workers with severe mental disorders.
文摘People have been engaged in sports activities both individually and collectively for years.Sports consumption,which refers to the process that covers many issues related to sports in the form of playing,watching,listening or reading,is a form of human behavior.The satisfaction of the four marketing components of product,price,distribution and promotion by using the leisure time of the sports consumer effectively and ensuring its continuity in the future process can be ensured by effective utilization of facilities and quality recreation activities.Consumer behaviors,which have a very complex structure,are seen in the form of choosing,buying,using and obtaining.With this study,it is aimed to determine the mediating role of consumer decision-making styles in determining the effect of marketing components in the consumption of sports activities on the satisfaction of sports consumers.In this direction,data were collected in the province of Istanbul,which was determined as the sample.Data were obtained with a questionnaire form created on Google Form.These data were analyzed in line with the model and hypotheses created with these data and it was determined that the marketing components of sports consumption have an impact on the sports consumer and it was concluded that consumer decision-making styles have a positive mediating effect in this regard.
文摘Objective:Healthcare service satisfaction focuses not only on the patients but also on the overall quality and effectiveness of the care provided.This study aimed to explore the correlation between patients’perceptions of empathy,patient satisfaction,and the quality of recovery in elderly patients undergoing postoperative care for lower extremity fractures under spinal anesthesia.Methods:In the present cross-sectional study,138 elderly patients who underwent surgery for lower extremity fracture and spinal anesthesia were selected for inclusion in the study.The questionnaire included demographic characteristics,the Jefferson Scale of Patient Perception of Physician Empathy,the Patient Satisfaction Scale,and the Postoperative Quality of Recovery Score.Multivariate regression was performed to evaluate the associations between patient-reported factors and satisfaction.Results:The overall average scores for patient perception of empathy,quality of recovery,and patient satisfaction were 20.30(1.18),110.11(8.26),and 156.86(5.44),respectively.There was a statistically significant positive correlation between patient quality of recovery and patient perception of empathy and patient satisfaction(p<0.01).Conclusions:This finding could also inform policymaking and the development of guidelines aimed at improving the quality of healthcare delivery.This study encouraged healthcare organizations and institutions to foster empathy in healthcare interactions,which may positively impact patient satisfaction and subsequent recovery outcomes,and patient-centered care.

文摘Integrated-energy systems(IESs)are key to advancing renewable-energy utilization and addressing environmental challenges.Key components of IESs include low-carbon,economic dispatch and demand response,for maximizing renewable-energy consumption and supporting sustainable-energy systems.User participation is central to demand response;however,many users are not inclined to engage actively;therefore,the full potential of demand response remains unrealized.User satisfaction must be prioritized in demand-response assessments.This study proposed a two-stage,capacity-optimization configuration method for user-level energy systems con-sidering thermal inertia and user satisfaction.This method addresses load coordination and complementary issues within the IES and seeks to minimize the annual,total cost for determining equipment capacity configurations while introducing models for system thermal inertia and user satisfaction.Indoor heating is adjusted,for optimizing device output and load profiles,with a focus on typical,daily,economic,and environmental objectives.The studyfindings indicate that the system thermal inertia optimizes energy-system scheduling considering user satisfaction.This optimization mitigates environmental concerns and enhances clean-energy integration.

文摘BACKGROUND Diabetic foot ulcers(DFUs)present a significant healthcare challenge attributable to their high rates of disability and the limitations of applied traditional nursing approaches.Effective management is critical for uneventful health outcomes.AIM To investigate the effects of multidisciplinary team(MDT)nursing interventions and blood glucose control on the negative emotions and satisfaction of DFUhealing patients.METHODS This retrospective cohort study included 115 patients with DFUs,divided into MDT and blood glucose control intervention group(n=60)and standard care control group(n=55).The comparison factors were wound area,new granulation tissue coverage area,wound healing rate,2-hour postprandial blood glucose level,fasting plasma glucose level,Hamilton Anxiety Scale score,Hamilton Depression Scale score,and nursing satisfaction.RESULTS After 4 weeks,the average wound area reduced from 22.04±6.48 cm^(2)to 11.96±3.63 cm^(2)(P<0.05).New granulation tissue coverage area reached 52.85±18.39 cm^(2) for the intervention group and 28.39±9.94 cm^(2)(P<0.05)in the control group,respectively.The healing rate was significantly higher in the intervention group than in the control group(91.7%vs 76.4%,P<0.05).Fasting plasma glucose decreased more sharply in the intervention group(from 8.36±0.98 mmol/L to 6.91±1.23 mmol/L)than in the control group(8.41±1.05 mmol/L to 7.81±1.27 mmol/L),with the intervention group maintaining significantly lower levels(P<0.05).The intervention group demonstrated a significantly greater reduction in 2-hour postprandial blood glucose levels(11.35±2.67 mmol/L to 7.52±1.38 mmol/L)compared to the control group(11.61±3.01 mmol/L to 8.72±1.63 mmol/L;P<0.05).Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale scores were significantly lower in the intervention group(P<0.05).Patient satisfaction with nursing was 93.33%and 74.55%in the intervention and control groups,respectively(P<0.05).CONCLUSION MDT combined with blood glucose control enhanced healing rates and positively influenced emotional well-being and satisfaction among patients.This strategy holds potential for application in clinical practice.

文摘Objective This study examines the sequential mediating roles of body pain and self-reported health in the association between sleep duration and self-reported life satisfaction among elderly Chinese adults.Methods Data from the fifth wave of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Survey(CHARLS)were used to analyse the relationships between sleep duration and body pain,self-reported health,and life satisfaction through logistic regression and Restricted Cubic Spline(RCS)analyses.The sequential mediation effects of body pain and self-reported health status were examined via chain mediation analysis.Results Logistic regression analysis showed that sleeping fewer than 6 hours or 6-7 hours was linked to higher risks of body pain,poor health,and dissatisfaction with life compared to sleeping 7-8 hours(all P<0.05).Additionally,those sleeping more than 9 hours also had increased risks of poor health and dissatisfaction with life compared to those sleeping 7-8 hours(all P<0.05).Chain mediation analysis showed that body pain and self-reported health status sequentially mediated 46.15%of the association between sleep duration and life satisfaction.Conclusion Body pain and self-reported health may shape the relationship between sleep duration and life satisfaction in elderly Chinese adults.
