Bringing into full consideration of the deformation, stair-stepping effect, overcure effect and building time related to the part fabrication orientation, and using evaluation function method, a multi-objective optimization model for the building orientation is defined. According to the difference in the angles between normal vectors of triangular facets in standard triangulation language (STL) model and z axis, the expressions of deformation area, stair-stepping area, overcure area are established. According to the characteristics in SL process, part building time is divided into four sections, that is, hatching scanning time, outline scanning time, support building time and layer waiting time. In order to investigate colorants how to influence the surface hardness of colorful resin component, a procedure is proposed to fabricate testing specimens based on color stereolithography technology in this study. Liquid photosensitive resin LPR2001 is mixed with two colorants(phthalocyanine blue and eosin powder) respectively before curing. The phthalocyanine blue powder is insoluble and only dispersive in the solid- liquid mixture which results in deposits. Therefore, surface modification is conducted to the phthalocyanine blue powder for improving wettability. By contrast, the eosin powder is dissoluble and does not cause any deposits in the liquid resin. Specimens are produced by laser curing colored resin and tested by MTSRNano Indenter XP system. The change of hardness values is illustrated at certain mass percentages of colorant. Comparisons and discussions are carried out to explain the colorants' efect. It is concluded that incorporating colorant to liquid resin results in decreasing the surface hardness of components. But sensibilization efect of the colorants also influences the curing process. Surface modification to the phthalocyanine blue powder is a feasible method to increase the hardness value of color stereolithography components. Dissolvable eosin has an approximate linear efect on surface hardness.展开更多

文摘As for ceramic stereolithography technique, the preparation of suitable resin-based ceramic slurry is of primary importance. In this study, the effects of powder characteristics such as specific surface area, particle size and distribution, particle morphology on the rheological behavior of zirconia resin-based suspensions were investigated intensively. Results show that the specific surface area of the powder is the most important factor affecting slurry viscosity.Choosing low specific surface area and quasi-spherical shaped powder is more likely to obtain low viscosity slurries. In addition, the influence of solid loading on the flow behavior were also studied using Krieger-Dougherty model.Zirconia samples with the relative density of(97.83±0.33)%were obtained after sintering at 1550℃.No obvious abnormal grain growth in the microstructure of the sintered body is observed. Results indicate that after the optimization of the processing parameters with the help of rheology characterization,complex-shaped high-quality zirconia parts can be obtained using the stereolithography technique.

文摘Bis[2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyl]octamethyltetrasiloxane is also called diepoxycyclohexylethyl octamethyltetrasiloxane. In the present paper, diepoxycyclohexylethyl octamethyltetrasiloxane was synthesized, and the synthesized product was characterized by FTIR and 1 HMR. The synthesized product was compounded with some acrylates and an expoxide as well as photoinitiators to obtain a 3D printing stereolithography resin(3DSLR111). The properties of 3DSLR111 and its UV-cured samples were investigated by some instruments and equipments. The experimental results show that the critical exposure(Ec) of 3DSLR111 is 10.1 mJ/cm^2, its penetration depth(Dp) is 0.15 mm, and its viscosity at 30 ℃ is 319 mPa·s. Some samples were printed with 3DSLR111, and their linear shrinkage and warping factor were evaluated. The linear shrinkage and the curl distortion factor are less than 0.80% and 7.30%, respectively, which indicates that the sample printed with 3DSLR111 has high accuracy, and that the synthesized diepoxycyclohexylethyl octamethyltetrasiloxane can be well applied to the preparation of the photosensitive resin for stereolithography 3D printing.

文摘Calcium phosphate(CaP)has been widely used for bone defect repair due to good biocompatibility and osteoconductivity.Additive manufacture of calcium phosphate bioceramics with tailored architectures and improved mechanical properties has recently attracted great attention.Herein, calcium phosphate nanoparticles with the size of~89-164 nm were synthesized by the hydrothermal treatment of amorphous calcium phosphate(ACP)precursors at 180°C for 24 h.Biofunctional elements including Mg,Sr and Zn have been doped into these calcium phosphate nanoparticles. Our results revealed that Mg^(2+)ions played critical roles in formation of whitlockite-type calcium phosphate(not hydroxyapatite)from ACP precursors. Moreover, gyroid scaffolds with bionic triply periodic minimal surface structures were fabricated using stereolithography printing of these calcium phosphate nanoparticles, which are likely used as biofunctional scaffolds for bone repair.

文摘Ceramic cores are widely used in investment casting, and ideal properties of cores are essential for high-quality castings.Under the circumstances requiring thick cores, solid cores are likely to encounter deformation and cracking defects due to the accumulation of shrinkage. Therefore, with the superiority of ceramic stereolithography in producing complex ceramic parts, hollow cores with lattice structures were designed and fabricated. The dimensional accuracy and properties of the green and sintered bodies were evaluated. Results show the dimensional accuracy of sintered cores is controlled within±0.25 mm benefited from the precise green bodies. The mechanical properties are not obviously deteriorated. The bending strength reaches 11.94 MPa at room temperature and 12.87 MPa at 1,500℃ with a creep deformation of 0.345 mm.Furthermore, casting verifications prove that the hollow cores meet the requirements of investment casting.Smooth casting surfaces are obtained,at the same time, the core-removal efficiency is improved by over 3 times.

文摘The effects of particle size, gradation and solid loading of silicon nitride (Si_(3)N_(4)) on the rheological behavior and curing properties of ceramic slurry are studied by stereolithography (SLA).The results show that the particle size of Si_(3)N_(4) powder has a signif icant influence on the rheological properties and stability of the slurry. When m_(D50=1.3μm):m_(D50=2.3μm)=3:7,the slurry viscosity is low and the sedimentation is slow. The most important thing is that with the increase of the solid loading of the slurry, the viscosity of the slurry increases, the stability becomes higher, and the curing thickness decreases. The curing thickness of Si_(3)N_(4) ceramic slurry with solid loading of 50 vol% can reach nearly 50μm.The above results finally show that the process optimizes the formulation of the slurry in rheological and curing properties.

文摘A novel hybrid type photosensitive resin for stereolithography in 3D printing was prepared with bisphenol A type epoxy diacrylate (EA-612), tripropylene glycol diacrylate (TPGDA),ethoxylated trimethyolpropane triacrylate(EO3TMPTA), cycloaliphatic diepoxide(ERL-4221),polycaprolactonepolyol(Polyol-0301),1-hydroxy-cyclohphenyl ketone(Irgacure184), and a mixture of triarylsulfonium hexafluoroantimonate salts (Ar3SSbF6). The novel hybrid type photosensitive resin was the photosensitive resin of an epoxy-acrylate hybrid system, which proceeded free radical polymerization and cationic polymerization in ultraviolet (UV) laser. Cuboid parts and double-cantilever parts were fabricated by using a stereolithography apparatus with the novel hybrid type photosensitive resin as the processing material, and the dimension shrinkage factor and the curl factor were tested. The shrinkage factor was less than 2.00%,and the curl factor was less than 8.00%, which showed that the accuracy of the fabricated parts was high with the photosensitive resin for stereolithography in 3D printing.

文摘Aiming at the part quality and building time problems in stereolithography (SL) caused by unreasonable building orientation, a part building orientation decision method in SL rapid prototyping (RP) is carried out. Expressions of each building time section are given. Considering the features of this optimization model, genetic algorithm (GA) is used to derive the optimization objective, related software is developed and optimization results are tested through experiments. Application shows that this method can effectively solve the quality and efficiency troubles caused by unreasonable part building orientation, an automatic orientation-determining program is developed and verified through test.

文摘Bone defect repair remains a troubling problem in clinical orthopedics, which involves complex biological processes.Calcium phosphates(CaPs)have been widely used owing to their advantage of biocompatibility. However, single component and traditional fabrication methods cannot meet the requirements of bioadaptability during the tissue repair process. In this work,0%,5%,15%,25%wt%of BG-TCP(bioactive glass-β-tricalcium phosphate)bioresorbable scaffolds with triply-periodic minimal surfaces(TPMS)-gyroid structure were prepared by the stereolithography(SLA)technology.TPMS-gyroid structure provided an accurate mimicry of natural bone tissue, and the incorporation of BG improved the compressive strength ofβ-TCP matrix, matched with the defective bone(2–12 MPa).Rapid but tunable degradation kinetics(compared with pure TCP)of BG enabled the BG-TCP system to sh8ow adaptable biodegradability to new bone generation. In vitro studies have shown that composite scaffolds have better mechanical properties(7.82 MPa),and can released appropriate contents of calcium, phosphorous, and magnesium ions, which promoted the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)and angiogenic ability of endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs).Moreover, the in vivo assessment of rat femoral defect revealed that TPMS-structure-based TCP scaffolds accelerated bone ingrowth to the pores.Moreover,BG-TCP scaffolds, especially 15BG-TCP group, exhibited superior bone regeneration capacity at both 4 and 8 weeks, which achieved an optimal match between the rate of material degradation and tissue regeneration. In summary, this study provides insight into influences of bioactive components(BG)and bionic structures(TPMS)on the physical-chemical properties of materials, cell behavior and tissue regeneration, which offers a promising strategy to design bioadaptive ceramic scaffolds in the clinical treatment of bone defects.
文摘New liquid free radical-cationic hybrid photopolymer, consisting of acrylate-based photocurable resin and epoxy-based photosensitive resin for stereolithography by UV laser was developed. The experiment results indicated that the hybrid photopolymer exhibits advantages of both the acrylate-based photosensitive resin and the epoxy-based photosensitive polymer contained in the hybrid system with relatively high photospeed and low linear shrinkage. Stereolithography parts without obvious distortion were built on the stereolithography apparatus HRPLA- I from this hybrid resin successfully and efficiently.

文摘Surface hardness value is a commonly used indicator for describing the mechanical property of stere- olithography parts. Dissolvable eosin has an approximate linear efect on surface hardness.

文摘Multi-material additive manufacturing(MMAM)takes full advantage of the ability to arbitrarily place materials of addi-tive manufacturing technology, enabling immense design free-dom and functional print capabilities.Among MMAM technologies, projection stereolithography(PSL)exhibits a great balance of high resolution and fast printing speed. However, fabrication accuracy of multi-material PSL is hin-dered by large overcure used to strengthen interfacial bond-ing weakened by chemical affinity and material-exchange process. We present a novel multi-step exposure method for multi-material PSL process to overcome this shortcoming.Firstly, the whole layer is moderately exposed producing over-cure of single-material PSL level to generate geometries. Then weakened interfaces are strengthened individually with addi-tional steps of exposure. The multi-step exposure is integrated into the already efficient materials printing order of multi-material PSL process.Curing depth and overcure of photocur-able resins are modeled and characterized.Exposure required to achieve sufficient interfacial bonding of single-material interfaces built through material-exchange process and multi-material interfaces with altering materials printing order is determined with tensile tests.Microfluidic channels are used to compare fabrication accuracy of traditional single-step exposure and our multi-step exposure method. This method can be widely applied in multi-material PSL to improve fabri-cation accuracy in a variety of applications including micro-fluidic devices.

文摘Ceramic materials with intricate structures can be efficiently fabricated using stereolithography(SLA)based 3D printing technology, offering advantages over traditional methods.Sintering temperature has primary effect on properties of ceramics. This study investigated the crucial sintering temperature for 3D printed ceramics to ensure the desired properties. The results indicate that all samples exhibit a consistent layered structure across the experimental sintering temperatures. When the sintering temperature is increased from 1,250℃ to 1,350℃,the grain's morphology changes from spherical to plate-like.Surface morphology analysis reveals a decrease in surface roughness at sintering temperatures above 1,350℃.Mechanical tests show improved flexural strength and stiffness as the sintering temperature rises.Friction and wear experiments demonstrate that as the sintering temperature increases from 1,450℃ to 1,550℃,the wear pattern on ceramic surfaces transitions from deep pits to shallow grooves. The increase in sintering temperature effectively enhances the wear resistance of 3D printed alumina ceramics. This improvement plays a significant role in expanding the application field of these ceramics, prolonging the lifespan of parts, reducing production costs, enhancing performance, and promoting environmental protection. In this study, ceramics achieve the highest strength and best wear resistance when sintered at 1,600℃,resulting in the best overall performance.

文摘Silica ceramic cores have played an important part in the manufacture of hollow blades due to their excellent chemical stability and moderate high-temperature mechanical properties. In this study,silica-based ceramics were prepared with Al_(2)0_(3) addition by stereolithography, and the influence of Al_(2)0_(3) content on mechanical properties of the silica-based ceramics was investigated. The Al_(2)0_(3) in silica-based ceramics can improve the mechanical properties by playing a role as a seed for the crystallization of fused silica into cristobalite. As a result, with the increase of Al_(2)0_(3) content, the linear shrinkage of the silica-based ceramics first decreased and then increased, while the room-temperature flexural strength and the high-temperature flexural strength first increased and then decreased. As the Al_(2)0_(3) content increased to 1.0 vol%,the linear shrinkage was reduced to 1.64%because of the blocked viscous flow caused by Al_(2)0_(3).Meanwhile,the room-temperature flexural strength and the high-temperature flexural strength were improved to 20.38 and 21.43 MPa with 1.0 vol%Al_(2)0_(3),respectively,due to the increased a-cristobalite and P-cristobalite content. Therefore, using the optimal content of Al_(2)0_(3) in silica-based ceramics can provide excellent mechanical properties, which are suitable for the application of ceramic cores in the manufacturing of hollow blades.

文摘In this study, the chemical precipitation coating(CP)process was creatively integrated with DLP-stereolithography based 3D printing for refining and homogenizing the microstructure of 3D printed Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic.Based on this novel approach,Al_(2)O_(3)powder was coated with a homogeneous layer of amorphous Y2O3,with the coated AI2O3 powder found to make the microstructure of 3D printed Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic more uniform and refined,as compared with the conventional mechanical mixing(MM)of Al_(2)O_(3) and Y_(2)O_(3) powders. The grain size of Al_(2)O_(3) in Sample CP is 64.44%and 51.43%lower than those in the monolithic Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic and Sample MM,respectively.Sample CP has the highest flexural strength of 455.37±32.17 MPa,which is 14.85%and 25.45%higher than those of Samples MM and AL,respectively;also Sample CP has the highest Weibull modulus of 16.88 among the three kinds of samples. Moreover, the fine grained Sample CP has a close thermal conductivity to the coarse grained Sample MM because of the changes in morphology of Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12) phase from semi-connected(Sample MM)to isolated(Sample CP).Finally, specially designed fin-type Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic heat sinks were successfully fabricated via the novel integrated process, which has been proven to be an effective method for fabricating complex-shaped Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic components with enhanced flexural strength and reliability.
