Resistance exercises included upper body exercise(bench press, upright row, and standing shoulder press) and lower body exercise(dead lift, back squat, and front squat) at 75% of one-repetition maximum(1 RM). Fatiguing exercise was performed on a cycle ergometer with 3 min of all-out effort at 3.5% of body mass. Participants consumed post-workout supplements within 10 min of exercise completion and repeated-bout exercise was performed 1 h later, followed by cardiovascular responses, urinary biomarkers, and delayed onset muscle soreness(DOMS) assessments. Results: There were effects of overweight on resistance exercise volume, critical power, fatigue index, and postexercise diastolic blood pressure(DBP). However, no differences in urinary biomarkers of muscle damage(potassium and creatinine) or DOMS between normal and overweight individuals. After supplementation, CoQ10 and sports drink increased resistance exercise volume regardless of body mass and increased critical power in the normal group. Additionally, CoQ10 supplementation was associated with a reduction in urinary biomarkers and DOMS in both groups. Conclusion: These findings are beneficial for sport scientists, nutritionists, and exercise physiologists in guiding post-workout supplementation with CoQ10 and sports drink to improve exercise performance and muscle recovery in normal and overweight individuals.展开更多

In refractory cases to conservative treatment, microscopic discectomy or full endoscopic discectomy are used as surgical options to relieve pain and restore patient functionality. However, the ideal time for a return to sports activities remains a matter of debate due to variations in recovery times and risks of complications associated with each technique. Methods: A review was conducted, including articles published in the last 33 years (1991-2024), as it was the earliest date matching our search criteria. Clinical studies, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical guidelines were included. Results: The most common complications when returning to sport prematurely include recurrence of the hernia, persistent pain (VAS leg 7 or higher after surgery) and reduced physical performance. The return to full activity rate of patients who underwent microdiscectomy reaches up to 90%, while the endoscopic technique shows a success rate that reaches 99%. Return to play meantime was 5.19 months (range 1.00 - 8.7 months) and mean time of 4.6 months (range 2 - 8 months) with Microdiscectomy and full endoscopic discectomy respectively. Conclusions: There is no unanimous consensus on the exact timing of return to sport due to variability in recovery times and clinical outcomes. In both techniques, evidence highlights the need for a multidisciplinary approach that integrates surgeons, physical therapists and trainers to optimize recovery and ensure a safe return.展开更多

This review summarized the progress of research on textile-based sports monitoring devices. First, the design principles and fabrication methods of smart textiles were introduced systematically. Textiles undergo a distinctive fiber-yarn-fabric or fiber-fabric manufacturing process that allows for the regulation of performance and the integration of functional elements at every step. Then, the performance requirements for precise sports data collection of smart textiles, including main vital signs, joint movement, and data transmission, were discussed. Lastly, the applications of smart textiles in various sports scenarios are demonstrated. Additionally, the review provides an in-depth analysis of the emerging challenges, strategies, and opportunities for the research and development of sports-oriented smart textiles. Smart textiles not only maintain comfort and accuracy in sports, but also serve as inexpensive and efficient information-gathering terminals. Therefore, developing multifunctional, cost-effective textile-based systems for personalized sports and healthcare is a pressing need for the future of intelligent sports.

文摘With Beijing Huilongguan Sports and Cultural Park as the research object, this study was conducted to investigate public service satisfaction in the park by the Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA)method.A questionnaire covering six dimensions, including public transportation, sanitation and environment, and supporting facility construction, was designed.A total of 208 valid samples were collected, and SPSS was employed for reliability and validity tests as well as IPA analysis. The findings were as follows:①Visitors were generally quite satisfied with the overall public services in Huilongguan Sports and Cultural Park.②The highest satisfaction levels were observed in sanitation and environment services and the sports and cultural atmosphere, while lower satisfaction was noted for supporting facility construction and public information services.③The advantage enhancement zone includes sanitation and environment services and sports and cultural atmosphere;and the continuous maintenance zone includes public transportation services and security management amd maintenance;the subsequent opportunity zone includes supporting facility construction and public information services;and there are no dimensions in the urgent improvement zone. The study recommends strengthening the service connotations from three aspects:enhancing facilities with sports as the core, optimizing services with a people-centered approach, and upgrading the information platform through technological efficiency.Additionally,a multi-stakeholder collaborative mechanism involving the government in coordinating policy resources, the operator in improving implementation efficiency, and the public participating in supervision and evaluation is proposed to drive the enhancement of public service quality at Huilongguan Sports and Cultural Park.
文摘Background Agility and change of direction speed(COD)are essential skills in sports, their development being the focus of training and research. While these terms have been used interchangeably,it is crucial to distinguish between agility and COD,as the latter involves a sudden change in direction without the presence of external stimuli. Objective This meta-analysis aims to summarize studies that have included COD and agility tests and explore the potential relationship between these two physical qualities.Method Following the PRISMA guidelines,a meta-analysis was conducted using studies published between 2005 and 2021.All studies identified for inclusion were peer-reviewed and published in English and Spanish, using an athlete population as participants. For all analyses,a significance level was set at P<0.05.Results The meta-analysis,which included 21 studies with 945 participants from various team sports, found a moderate correlation(r=0.46)between agility and COD.This study considers moderator variables such as Age,Sex,Sport,Test Pattern,Test Combination, and Agility Stimulus. Conclusion The results of this study revealed that while COD and agility have commonalities, these two constructs represent distinct different qualities.Younger participants show a stronger correlation between the two, emphasizing age-related differences in physical development.Coaches should consider these findings in designing training programs and assessments, tailoring approaches based on the specific demands of each skill. The study contributes valuable insights into the nuanced relationship between agility and COD in team sports.
文摘Objectives:Walking sports, whereby traditional disciplines of sport modify gameplay by limiting physical activity to walking only, may offer benefits for physical activity engagement and subjective wellbeing outcomes in older adults.Questionnaires were used to collect physical activity and health related data from a cross section of older South Australian walking sports participants(n=56),which was compared to a population-based sample of their peers(n=1817)to explore these potential benefits. Methods:Ordinal logistic regression and linear regression were used for between-group comparisons across three subgroups of participants, who reported engaging in:(1)walking sports,(2)traditional sports,and(3)no sport. All analyses were adjusted for age, marital status, education and employment status. Results:Compared to walking sports participants, those who did not participate in sports were more than twice as likely to report poorer self-rated health.Walking sports and traditional sports participants reported meeting the minimum weekly physical activity requirements. No significant differences in subjective wellbeing were found between the three participant subgroups. Conclusions:Older adults who participated in walking sports had significantly higher self-rated health and physical activity levels, than those not involved in sports. Therefore, sport organisations should consider offering walking sports programs to engage older adults who face barriers to engaging in traditional sports, supporting their continued involvement in physical activity.
文摘This study aimed to investigate the incidence and other significant features of craniomaxillofacial trauma(CMFT),particularly Sport-Related Concussion(SRC),among professional soccer players from two major leagues in Brazil. This is a prospective epidemiological study which assessed two divisions of the national championship and large regional one over four seasons.Data were gathered from soccer clubs and their medical staff using two online forms.Data related to players(age and position)and injuries(diagnosis, type, body location, laterality, field location, tests performed, need for surgery, time lost in sports, and recurrence)were collected.Between 2016 and 2019,a total of 15 seasons, comprising 3828 matches and 126324 hours(h)of gameplay, were analyzed.A total of 299 CMFT cases were reported, with a median incidence of 2.37 per 1000 h of play.Among them, there were 178 head and 121 face traumas, which led to 87 SRC(representing 29.10% of all CMFT),with an incidence of 0.69.Defensive midfielders(14.43%)and goalkeepers(14.00%)had the highest prevalence rates of CMFT.Only 3.68% of the injuries, mostly lacerations and fractures, required surgical treatment. This study identified that the average time lost in sports due to SRC was 5.12 days, with a recurrence rate of 12.71%.SRC are a frequent consequence of CMFT in Brazilian professional soccer.Although most cases are mild, there is a high recurrence rate, which may have long-term implications.

文摘Background Health promotion(HP)interventions delivered through sports clubs have demonstrated promising outcomes among men,but less is known about which aspects of the interventions work, for whom, and under what circumstances. This rapid realist review aimed to understand the contexts, mechanisms, and outcomes of HP interventions for men delivered through sports clubs. Methods A systematic literature search was conducted in February 2023 for studies published after 2013 in MEDLINE,Embase, and SPORTDiscus databases.Included studies:(a)were delivered by or in collaboration with sports clubs,(b)targeted men aged 18+years,and(c)reported 1 or more HP outcomes.A grey literature search was also performed.Studies were included in a realist synthesis based on richness and rigor.Hereafter,context-mechanism-outcome(CMO)configurations were developed. Results We identified and screened 3358 studies, finally including 59 studies describing 22 interventions. Most HP interventions were delivered in high income countries, included Caucasian men aged 35-65 years with overweight/obesity,and used professional sports clubs(mostly football)for recruitment and facilities.Quantitative HP outcomes were reported across 19 interventions.Of these 19 interventions, the majority reported on weight(n=18),physical activity(n=12),mental health(n=10),and diet(n=9).We identified 13 CMOs related to how HP interventions affected men's recruitment, engagement, and health behavior maintenance. Conclusion Our findings show that using sports clubs for HP interventions is effective for engaging men.Recruitment was facilitated by leveraging sports clubs’identity, addressing masculinity-related barriers, improving accessibility, and building trust.Engagement was enhanced through shared identity experiences, safe spaces, inclusive competition, and self-efficacy.However,there's limited evidence on behavior maintenance post-intervention,though involving community stakeholders seemed vital. In general, considerations should be made to avoid perpetuating traditional masculine norms, which may exclude some men and reinforce unhealthy behaviors. These findings can guide intervention development, emphasizing the need to harness men's perspectives in the process.
