We suggest that the adsorbed state of BTAD is the bonding of benzotriazolto Ag surface via lone palr electron on the nitrogen. With HCl and ascorbic acid aggre-gate Ag sol, the dependence of SERRS on BTAD concentration behaves differently. Inthe former case, the adsorbed state changes, but in the latter it remains the same. Smallamount of electrolyte will induce the active sites on the surface, but when it is more than1×102zmol L-1, the competent adsorbtion reduces the Ratnan scattering intensity. Hy-drogen ions protonize BTAD to BTAHD and reduce the contribution of lone pair electronon N atom of the conjugated system.展开更多
Objective:Angiogenesis plays a vital role in tumor growth and metastasis.Here,we aimed to find novel efficient antiangiogenic molecules targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGFA)at the transcriptional level...Objective:Angiogenesis plays a vital role in tumor growth and metastasis.Here,we aimed to find novel efficient antiangiogenic molecules targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGFA)at the transcriptional level to treat triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC).Methods:We used a cell-based seryl tRNA synthetase(SerRS)promoter-driven dual-luciferase reporter system to screen an in-house library of 384 naturally occurring small molecules and their derivatives to find candidate molecules that could upregulate the expression of SerRS,a potent transcriptional repressor of VEGFA.The levels of SerRS and VEGFA were examined by quantitative RT-PCR(qRT-PCR),western blotting,and/or ELISAs in TNBC cells after candidate molecule administration.Zebrafish,the Matrigel plug angiogenesis assay in mice,the TNBC allograft,and xenograft mouse models were used to evaluate thein vivoanti-angiogenic and anti-cancer activities.Furthermore,the potential direct targets of the candidates were identified by proteomics and biochemical studies.Results:We found the most active compound was 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)quinolin-4(1H)-one(MEQ),an isoflavone derivative.In TNBC cells,MEQ treatment resulted in increased SerRS mRNA(P<0.001)and protein levels and downregulated VEGFA production.Both the vascular development of zebrafish and Matrigel plug angiogenesis in mice were inhibited by MEQ.MEQ also suppressed the angiogenesis in TNBC allografts and xenografts in mice,resulting in inhibited tumor growth and prolonged overall survival(P<0.05).Finally,we found that MEQ regulated SerRS transcription by interacting with MTA2(Metastasis Associated 1 Family Member 2).Conclusions:Our findings suggested that the MTA2/SerRS/VEGFA axis is a drug-treatable anti-angiogenic target,and MEQ is a promising anti-tumor molecule that merits further investigation for clinical applications.展开更多

In this work, gold nanoprisms (GNPs) was synthesized and then modified with LyP-1, a tumor-homing peptide, to improve the affinity of the GNPs to tumor cells, thus, to improve the efficacy of tumor-targeted photothermal therapy. The introduction of NIR dye IR780 not only enabled the GNPs-based nanosystem with the surface-enhanced resonant Raman scattering (SERRS) property, but also enhanced the plasmonic photothermal property which delivering therapeutic heating by 660 nm laser irradiation. The obtained GNPs/IR780-LyP-1 presented significantly increased of photothermal conversion in vitro and in vivo, which resulted in enhanced tumor-targeting photothermal therapeutic efficacy after laser irradiation. Hence, the GNPs/IR780-LyP-1 prepared in this study can be served as a Raman-encoded molecular imaging candidate and photothermal therapy agents for future cancer treatment.展开更多

In the context of Michel Serres'and posthumanism's proposal of rethinking the human and the world in a perspective of universal co-belonging,silence(of the human word)assumes the function of a catalyst for the...In the context of Michel Serres'and posthumanism's proposal of rethinking the human and the world in a perspective of universal co-belonging,silence(of the human word)assumes the function of a catalyst for the recognition of the human body in its aesthetic,cognitive,relational,and hybrid dimensionality,and of the world in its agency(including artistic).Within this framework,the contribution proposes a reading of art as a relation and catalyzer of relations,that is,as a(re)activation of positive relations of the human with a world that reveals itself to be increasingly hyper-complex.Taking Serresian ideas on artistic practices as not(only)human forms of expression and some posthumanist"isomorphic"positions on non-human agency as tools,the research then highlights the more-than-human scope of art.展开更多
