The theoretical analysis shows that a smaller frank elastic constant K22 o...The effect of interaction between liquid crystal （LC） and photoalignment material on the speed of optical rewriting process is investigated. The theoretical analysis shows that a smaller frank elastic constant K22 of liquid crystal corresponds to a larger twist angle, which gives rise to a larger rewriting speed. Six different LC cells with the same boundary conditions （one substrate is covered with rubbed polyimide （PI） and the other with photo sensitive rewritable sulfuric dye I（SD1）） are tested experimentally under the same illumination intensity （450 nm, 80 mW/cm2）. The results demonstrate that with a suitable liquid crystal, the LC optical rewriting speed for e-paper application can be obviously improved. For two well known LC materials E7 （K22 is larger） and 5CB （K22 is smaller）, they require 11 s and 6 s corresponding to change alignment direction for generating image information.展开更多

SOA is built upon and evolving from older concepts of distributed computing and modular programming, OWL-S plays a key role in describing behaviors of web services, which are the essential of the SOA software. Althoug...SOA is built upon and evolving from older concepts of distributed computing and modular programming, OWL-S plays a key role in describing behaviors of web services, which are the essential of the SOA software. Although OWL-S has given semantics to concepts by ontology technology, it gives no semantics to control-flow and data-flow. This paper presents a formal semantics framework for OWL-S sub-set, including its abstraction, syntax, static and dynamic seman-tics by rewrite logic. Details of a consistent transformation from OWL-S SOS of control-flow to corresponding rules and equations, and dataflow semantics including “Precondition”, “Result” and “Binding” etc. are explained. This paper provides a possibility for formal verification and reliability evaluation of software based on SOA.展开更多

This paper focuses on the study of manipulation of ideology over translation of In Liu Village by a famous writer-cum-translator Yu Lihua. Based on the data collected, the present paper argues that during the process of translation, ideology exerts constraints on the translator and influences her in such aspects as the choice of texts, the process of decoding and the choice of translation strategy.展开更多

Since its publication, it receives warm welcome fr...Ezra Pound, not only a prominent poet but also a translator, published Cathay, which is translation of 19 classic Chinese poems on the basis of Fenollosa's notes. Since its publication, it receives warm welcome from western readers but dispute also exists due to some mistranslations. This paper aims to use rewriting theory to evaluate this work from a fresh perspective.Rewriting theory, which was proposed by Andre Lefevere, asserts that ideology, poetics and patronage would exert influence on translation. With analysis of the original work, notes of Fenollosa, it can be concluded that Cathay is under the manipulation of ideology and poetics of Pound's era. With regard to ideology, The World WarⅠinfluences the subject Pound chose and the methods he used. On the part of poetics, Pound launched Imagism Movement against the dominant Victorian poetics. Wear-leveling techniques are effective methods to increase the endurance of non-volatile memory. In this paper, we propose a pure software based low cost wear-leveling method, called writing balance aware mandatory rewriting insertion optimization（WBAMRI）, to improve the dynamic wear-leveling techniques.This method uses the mandatory rewriting operation combined with simple dynamic wear-leveling techniques to switch the code area to hot area dynamically. From the result of simulation, we can see that： 1） Compared with dynamic wear-leveling techniques, our ware-leveling method makes the endurance of non-volatile memory 6 times longer; 2） Compared with static wear-leveling techniques, our method nearly gets the same endurance but without the complex hardware design and the lose of memory access performance.展开更多
