Grassland resource governance is an important part of ecological civilization construction, and it directly af‐fects grassland governance performance. This study deploys principal-agent theory and uses social network analysis to compare grassland resource governance modes in China in terms of institutional settings and insti‐tutional network characteristics. This study found three types of grassland resource governance modes:self-designed,docked,and integrated. The self-designed mode forms a network structure with dual centers and multiple members, and has the second-best structural mode of the three types. The docked mode forms a net‐work structure with a single center in which the institution is the absolute core and is relatively divergent. It has the weakest structural advantage of the three types. The integrated mode forms a network structure with a single institution at the core and other institutions distributed evenly throughout the structure. This mode has the strongest structural advantage among the three types. This study offers the practical application of improv‐ing the practice of grassland governance in China and is theoretically significant because it can contribute to improving grassland governance modes and enriching the public goods resources governance. 展开更多

With the deepening of global digital transformation, digital resources have become key elements in reshaping economic and social structures, but their material footprint and energy use intensify ecological pressure and ethical risks such as algorithmic opacity, data divides, and intergenerational injustice. This paper examines“green orientation and ethical reconstruction in digital resource governance”at theoretical, instrumental, and institutional levels.Theoretically,it uses the tension between Ecological Modernization Theory and the Jevons Paradox to argue that digital environmental governance must shift from growth logic to ecological rationality.Instrumentally,it analyzes Carbon-Aware Computing,Digital Product Passports(DPP),and ISO/IEC 30134 indicators as a lifecycle-based green governance toolkit for digital infrastructure.Institutionally,it compares the European Union’s rule-oriented governance with China’s engineering-oriented governance and incorporates frugal digital innovation in the Global South to outline diversified governance paths. The paper then proposes a digital ethics framework integrating environmental responsibility, social inclusion, and intergenerational justice, and argues that future digital governance should move beyond a single efficiency paradigm toward composite governance centered on ecological integrity and social justice. 展开更多

This study examines the emerging tensions between digital transformation and environmental sustainability in the global fashion industry from the perspective of digital resource governance. As artifcial intelligence, virtual sampling, and data-driven platforms increasingly reshape apparel production and consumption, the material and ecological costs of digitization have become impossible to ignore.Drawing on normative analysis and comparative institutional analysis, the paper conceptualizes Digital Environmental Governance(DEG)as a critical sub-feld of digital resource governance, focusing on the environmental externalities of digital infrastructures embedded in fashion systems.Through comparative examination of governance practices in the European Union,China, and the Global South, the study reveals divergent yet complementary governance paradigms, ranging from rule-based regulation to project-oriented planning and frugal digital innovation. The paper further proposes a three-dimensional ethical reconstruction framework encompassing environmental responsibility, social inclusion, and intergenerational justice.By integrating governance theory with costume and culture studies, this research contributes a culturally grounded and ecologically oriented perspective on the future of digital fashion governance. 展开更多

In April 2022,then-President of Mexico Andrés Manuel López Obrador officially implemented the lithium resources nationalization law and established the state-owned enterprise LitioMx to oversee their exploration, extraction, and processing. His successor,Claudia Sheinbaum, reaffirmed this assertive resource governance policy in October 2024.As a direct consequence, the operations of the Chinese firm,Ganfeng Lithium in Mexico, experienced significant disruption. 展开更多

Government interventions to manage and improve trade-offs in social and ecological systems are made through various policy instruments. The conditions of the social ecological system(SES)are a function of the cumulatively implemented policy instruments.Although both policy instruments and social ecological system frameworks have played important roles in theoretical developments in resource management, they have largely been considered in isolation from each other.By including policy instruments into the SES framework, the proposed conceptual model serves as a template to examine how governing takes place by deciphering:1)how the biophysical system has been understood in resource governance;2)how the social system has been set up in resource governance;and 3)how the trade-offbetween dynamic biophysical and social systems has been managed in the governance of SESs.This model can assist identifying any absent, overlapping or contradictory policy instruments in the governance of an SES. 展开更多
