This study investigates and explores the teaching of higher vocational English courses for non-English majors from the perspective of core competencies.First,it outlines the current research status of core competencies and analyzes the national-level requirements for English core competencies.Subsequently,based on professional training objectives and curriculum standards,a questionnaire on the core competencies of English courses has been designed to understand students’perceptions and experiences regarding the development of their competencies in areas such as workplace communication,cross-cultural exchange,language thinking enhancement,and autonomous learning improvement.The survey results showed that the majority of students had a positive attitude towards the effectiveness of English courses in cultivating the aforementioned core competencies.However,some students also suggest improvements,such as increasing practical opportunities and strengthening cultural exchange.Based on this,the study further explores how to integrate the cultivation of core competencies into classroom teaching,including the use of a combination of formative and summative assessments,the design of teaching content and activities related to the workplace and cross-cultural communication,and the guidance of students to actively explore and apply their knowledge,thereby enhancing their English language application abilities.This study has certain reference value for the optimization of the higher vocational English curriculum system and the reform of teaching methods. 展开更多

Compared with lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batte... At present, the construction of new energy sources in our country is developing rapidly. Li-ion batteries and sodium-ion batteries have the same storage mechanism. Compared with lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries have the advantages of low cost and abundant sodium sources. However, because the radius of sodium ions (0.102nm) is much larger than the radius of lithium ions (0.076nm), finding a host material that can stably insert/remove sodium ions in the actual application process has become the key to the application of sodium-ion batteries in new energy vehicles. Although metal oxides (cobalt oxide, iron oxide, nickel oxide, etc.) with high theoretical capacity have good application potential in sodium ion cathode materials, sodium ion batteries have poor cycle life due to large volume expansion and low electrical conductivity during the sodium conversion process;While nanostructured metal oxides and their composites (MnO2 nanocrystals, NiO/Ni/ graphene, etc.) can effectively improve the cycle stability, but their durability under high current density is poor. Therefore, it is necessary to further develop the negative electrode material of sodium ion battery with high cycle stability and durability to buffer the problems of volume expansion and conductivity reduction in the sodium conversion process. 展开更多
